A really well decorated and cozy shop. Everything I have seen come out of there has been nothing short of amazing. I got tattooed by Kevin who did a killer traditional clipper ship. If you are looking for an American or neo traditional tattoo in Calgary this is your place.

I've been tattooed here several times by different tattooists. I always love the end result and the staff are very welcoming and approachable. No pretension here, which makes the experience so great. I feel comfortable asking for adjustments or breaks. Will go again ????

I was in Calgary for the weekend and wanted a quick piece done, I like to do a random piece in cities I visit, and they squeezed me in with very short notice. I got the get what you get tattoo, not exactly the type of tattoo to judge an artist on considering it's just simple flash art but it was very well done. Cody's line work it great, it puts my other random tattoos on the same arm to shame.

For the last five months I've been a regular at Radio Block and the atmosphere and tattoo experience continue to impress and exceed expectations. Garret and Grace are truly magical human beings and they are every bit as talented as they are charming and heartwarming. Everyone is happy to see you when you walk through the door, and when you leave your day is brightened to such an extent you almost forget the pain of getting tattooed. The decor is eclectic enough to keep your eyes busy but the conversation always helps to keep your mind off the whirring (and stabbing) of the machines. Garret is a genuine master of his craft, and it's easy to see how magnificent of a mentor he is when you see Grace's work which is already spectacular but seems to get better still every time I stop in. Radio Block is by far the coziest, friendliest, most intimate, welcoming, non-judgmental place one can go for a tattoo without stopping by a private studio.

(Updating this for my most recent visit, Sept 2021. The shop is incredibly clean, which is no surprise. Contactless paperless consent forms are a great idea. And the tattoos we got from Sarah were amazing, and confirmed for me that this is the best tattoo shop in Calgary! ) Outstanding experience here. Garret is an amazing artist, the shop is incredibly cool, and they really care about the work they produce. Would highly recommend this shop if you like the modern take on old-school; Garret's got the chops to do some really "geeky" work as well, if you're looking for a nerdy tattoo! Can't say enough good things about this place!

Had a tattoo here last month, the details are not on point, had to reschedule (had my appointment one month before) because the tattooist was running late. Came with my boyfriend as company, it was my first tattoo, the artist told me just one person allowed due to COVID which I accepted for sure. When he was working I noticed that everybody else was allowed to have company except me. Really disappointed. Pros: the place is fairly clean.

I went earlier today to get a piece done by Garrett, the whole team was super welcoming and kind! The Shop is by far the coolest shop I've been in, and the music was fantastic, which is very important! It was very clean and organized, Garrett and his team were fantastic and professional. Garrett went above and beyond my exceptions and design concept. I will definitely be coming back for all my tattoo needs.

We love our tattoos! My fiance and I gave Garrett pretty minimal instruction about what we wanted and he came up with super creative and well thought out ideas. My tattoo was done by someone I believe his name was Eric... However I have had a number of tattoos and never have I ever had someone that pushes so hard give me a tattoo. Now that my tattoo has healed I have been able to look closer at it to see that the ink is blown out in spots. I am very disappointed and angry that I now how to pay for it to be fixed by another artist or a cover up.
