We called Leaves last minute hoping to get some tiny tattoos done and he immediately hopped in a cab and met us down at the shop. He made us feel right at home, he was like an old friend we have known forever. He spent time with us making sure that our designs were exactly the size and placement that we wanted and was happy to redraw and resize. His freehand work is stunning I am so thrilled. He hugged as all as we parted and I feel like we all became immediate friends! Our tiny tattoos are stunning and exactly the spontaneous decision we were hoping for. Thank you Leaves for an amazing experience.

Absolutely love my new tattoo! Leaves is such a chill guy and super talented. It was the first time meeting him and it felt like I’d known him for ages. Kept me laughing the whole time — which is nice when you’re being jabbed by a needle a million times. Super groovy and clean shop with a great atmosphere. My husband and I went to our honeymoon in Banff, AB. Wednesday, August 22nd, we went hiking up on Mt. Lipsett up in Kanaskis and upon approaching the summit, after a three hour climb, we encountered a grizzly about a hundred yards from us. We backed up slowly and made our way to the treeline and ran for our lives. Fear took over and what took us three hours to get to the summit, only took us one hour to come down. My husband and I do a lot of hiking here at home in Seattle, WA but we've never really had any type of encounters with wildlife with our area being so populated and the trails here well trodden. Now, we know about bear spray and to never hike without it. On our last night in Banff, I had the idea of getting a tattoo. My idea came to me at 7 pm. The local tattoo shop in Banff had closed for the night. We were heading into Calgary and planning to sleep in the car due to an early flight the next morning. We had to be at the airport at 5 am for an 8 am flight. I searched tattoo shops in Calgary and everywhere had closed. I came across Leaves with Ink and it said open 24 hours. I gave him a call told me it was by appointment only and he was interested in our story and decided to meet us at his shop at 10 pm. Leaves is such a chill guy! He made us feel comfortable and was very accommodating! Did a great job on both mine and my husbands tattoos. He even let us crash on his couch that night for a few hours so we didn't have to sleep in our cars! All around an awesome experience! I will definitely be hitting him up for any more tattoos when I'm in Calgary again. Truly a believer in things happening for a reason, feel like it was just meant to be that we met Leaves! Now, he's a part of our story that we will forever tell. Awesome guy!

I called him 24 hours prior and he said he would tattoo me so I make the 40 minute drive and once we arrive he tells us and I quote " the vibes are not right and he's not feeling it" and he tells us to leave and as he's telling us to leave he has the audacity to tell us to follow him on Instgram I would not recommend this place to anyone unless u like to have your time wasted

Went to LeaveswithInk to check out his work, fell in LOVE with it. Was back within a month to get some permanent ink and I've gotta say... It's amazing. Lots more to go and look forward to it! Hes incredibly fast paced with his work, as well as has lots of awesome art pieces up for sale as well if you arent ready for a tattoo. I showed up late, as I drove TWO HOURS to see him (totally worth every second) and didnt know the city well, but once I was where I needed to be everything was super easy to park and find! Even with me being late he finished what he was working on and it looks like it could be a solo tattoo or part of a bigger piece. It doesnt look out of place or unfinished, which I thought it might, being a sleeve just started! I get compliments regularly. It healed up super nice and the entire time there he was awesome to talk to, explained everything really well which helped to keep me calm, not to mention his studio is a place you can actually kick back and chill while getting inked. All around a great experience, especially for a first tattoo!

Couldn't ask for a better half sleeve, simply amazing work, fast, one of a kind personality and great value. Great experience all around highly recommend this place!! Everything but the anchor leaves did and this is how good it looks without it being healed or finished, I got another appointment next week to get it detailed and I'm sure it will look even more amazing, he woulda done it all at once probably, but my arm started to reject the ink so we had to call it a day. Thanks man!! Awww yeeeahhh ????

I am mostly covered now, unfortunately this would happen to be the worst experience for me. Multiple blown out lines, the most painful experience I’ve ever had, it’s mostly scarring and uneven skin now. It’s also the most faded, when it’s definitely not the oldest. The same designs I see ALL over Calgary, he just prints off the same thing for everyone. The roses on my body I’ve seen on at least 5 other girls just walking around Calgary….. But also the pettiness, just super unprofessional, asked me if I’d get tattooed in my underwear for a photoshoot. Got MAD at me for going to another artist when he refused to do what I wanted….

I found Leaves when I moved to Calgary last summer. Absolute hidden gem tattoo shop! He’s so easy to get inked by. We have done my calf sleeve and moving to the other calf soon. He is clean, professional, and really easy going. If you wanna grind it out he will ink like a champ, if you need breaks he will take breaks for you. He’s also very flexible with time, I live a busy lifestyle and he finds a way to make it work. He works to fit your tattoo needs and pace. He is a affordable and his work is awesome.
