Monto took me in as a walk in, didn't mind at all that I had brought my wife and kid as we had plans after my tattoo due to it was my birthday. Definitely one of the best artists I have ever dealt with. Monto definitely took the image of the tattoo I had invisioned right out of my head. Not to mention it was my first free handed tattoo's. Great guy!

Went to get a piercing done a while ago, chose to get it out elsewhere and was told that the jewellery shape was not meant to be used for this piercing in general. They were really nice during the appointment, but the fact they did that comes off as unprofessional. Will never go back, I'd rather pay more and get good quality service.

I called the day before to ask if they if they had a piercer in on weekdays for walk-in. I was told yes and they were open from 12-8, I told them I would come in later in the next day. " If it’s dead all day sometimes are staff leave around 6pm . You must have just missed them . We open at 12:00 . Or phone prior to coming in to let us know you are on your way" I left at 6:35 after they had sent the message. They got back to me the next morning apologizing and offering a free piercing.

I've gotten 3 of my 4 piercings here, the only problem I had was my nose. Although I believe it was just poor timing as I had a cold and it made things difficult to clean. The man who did them was absolutely great with me and my sisters. Today I got my daith and he made me feel very comfortable, I had no problems and felt nothing.

I went there initially 2 years ago for a nose piercing on my left side, at 16 it was pretty scary but they did a good job of reassuring me that they know what they're doing. At $40 I was very pleased with my little stud and with regular cleaning I had no infections whatsoever. Two years later I wanted to get the other side done, with double piercings, I ended up going to a different piercing shop where I was charged $50+/ per, but they weren't quite as relaxed there. I wanted to change out the hoop that was in one, to a stud, but once i took the hoop out I could not get the stud in to save my life. I went to a whole other shop who tried to charge me minimum $72 to put in the new piercing (even with me having a hole there already!) I was like nope. Ended up stumbling upon Joker, by accident later that day noticed they still only charge $40 for piercings) and they were more than happy to help me out, complimentary service to just change out the stud. Very happy with the results. Very happy with the staff. Would recommend!

Absolutely loved this place, relaxed and friendly environment, good vibes and they're very flexible and considerate of time and prices. Although I was extremely indecisive and had a few drawings done before I chose one Monea was happy to do it and made this beautiful piece! I'm so happy with it she was fast with the more painful parts (my pain tolerance isn't ideal) not sloppy at all and did the most precise lining and shading was very impressed. I'll definitely be going back!! This piece was done in about 2 hours roughly and cost me less than $200 and they even offer you coffee or water while you're there to make you feel at home. All in all I'm a pretty picky person but I genuinely loved this place and 10/10 would recommend! Cozy environment and incredibly personable staff.

Got my vertical labret piercing today, the experience was great only hurt a 7/10 pain rating for when the needle went through. He did an amazing job and it looks and feels great, very clean everyone wore masks and was very professional and had a great attitude and he was cute. The shop is super warm (at fault of the building not Jokers) so dress with layers. The location is not in the most inviting location/building, however, inside is clean and professional.

Amazing experience. I was looking into get my septum pierced, a lot of shops will not do this now, because of this "covid" business...which makes no sense to me. . I emailed Jokers and got a super quick response, answering all my questions and booked me in the next day. Shop is super clean, steps for "covid" safety are observed and followed. Staff is super friendly, personable & professional. Piercing went great! practically painless.. Andre knows his stuff for sure! I’m from out of town and my nose stud came out during my visit. Popped in to get it put back in cause I couldn’t get it myself.. they were unfamiliar with my jewelry and couldn’t get it to work so they gave me a replacement stud for free! Taylor helped me out, A+ service and staff!

The longer i have my septum the more i realize how messed up it was pierced. It is so close to the exit of my nose on one side and so uneven. Called in got in next day ... Shop was Very clean all the gear came out of propper packaging. My artists name was Tony and he crushed it, 10 min post session ZERO pain not even a irritation. If you don't know where to go I mean I would send you here .. Also knowbody gets in before a accurate temperature check masks are mandatory. Rates were more than competitive. But I'll pay a bit more for quality art .

They get the job done pretty nicely. I had a belly button piercing done. They made sure everything was clean and they were pretty nice and professional to me and my friend. In addition, it was a lot cheaper than anywhere else. The interior has a nice aesthetic but I wish the location was better. The neighborhood is a little shady but nothing wrong with the shop. They only accept cash tho so be careful.

Worst piercing experience of my life. I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO GO HERE FOR ANYTHING. got my septum pierced about three days ago... placement of piercing is nowhere near or on my sweet spot (directly on cartilage) which is ridiculous. Piercer did not formally introduce himself or make me feel comfortable about anything at all and got upset when I felt scared. PIERCER ALSO DID NOT STERILIZE AREA OF PIERCING BEFORE OR AFTER PROCEDURE. Needless to say... the people working in that shop are a bunch of jokers, and I’m (apparently) the biggest joker for trusting them.

Bit of a wait but I was also a walk-in. It was my first tattoo so I was a little nervous. I worked with Shaun Monto and he was really great. Very friendly and reassuring. He told me about himself as we were prepping so I would know a little about who he was and his experiences which I thought was really great. Throughout the actual tattooing he was really professional and really helped me get through my first tattoo quite well. The artwork is exactly what I wanted and Shaun made sure I was happy with the design and placement before proceeding. The studio itself was very clean, and the artists were all very nice. Shaun also showed me the expiration dates of all materials used and made sure to keep everything sanitary throughout the entire appointment. Shaun Monto and Jokers Tattoo and Body FX made my first tattoo experience very safe and professional. I will definitely be returning for my next one!

Recently got my nipples pierced here, I didnt have an appointment but they were able to do the piercing. Great service. 4 stars because I thought the guy piercing me was gonna use long barbells but he used a curved one. I just hope they heal nicely.

Do not recommend at all. Called ahead to get a small tattoo as a walk in. I walked in and said hello, i was ignored by all 3 employees working, and the first thing said was “youre not 18 youre not getting a tattoo” after the disrespectful greeting i proceeded to show my ID and after realising how i am well over 18, asked me what i wanted. He then proceeded to decline everything i said taking the tattoo and turning it into what he wanted. The place was DISGUSTING, reeked of drugs, trash was everywhere. The employees were some of the most disrespectful tattoo artists i have met and made me so uncomfortable I immediately left. Will not return and do not recommend at any cost.

Staff was friendly and my artist was very charming. I got a free bottle of tattoo cream after my appointment. This is where the 2 stars comes from. But, the place smelled like hard core bleach or something. I'm not sure what it was but the place smelled really strong and overwhelming I had a headache the entire time. Aside from that though, I am not happy with my tattoo at all. I came in with a print of EXACTLY the font a wanted, and even to scale. It was just one simple word, in a calligraphy font. I should have trusted my gut but I didn't. The artist made outlines that looked nothing like what I had gave him. The font i gave him had thick and thin lines, as calligraphy does. But what he drew as an outline was straight up just a regular stick-font. No thick or thiin, just thin. When i questioned this, he said he would just create the calligraphy thickness by hand-eye coordination, just by looking at the picture of the font.... I was SUPER skeptical of this but i decided to trust him, as he is the artist. I told him EXACTLY where i wanted it and how I wanted it to be placed. Tattoos are permanent, and there was an angle I wanted it to lie on. When he places the outline on my skin, I wasn't happy with it. I wanted to move it but he convinced me otherwise. The guy was nice and friendly and charming and assured me over and over for like 5 mins that it looks great where he put it. I was honestly having a bad day and felt kind of overwhelmed by the pressure so I just agreed. I regret being a pushover and not trusting my guts because.. 1) the tattoo looks NOTHING like the font I gave him. He did not do calligraphy. There is not thickness to it, it's just a normal handwritten stick font. I'm so sad about it. 2) It's not placed how I wanted AT ALL. i paid $100 for this and I am so very upset with how it looks. 3) Not only is it not the font I wanted, nor the place I wanted, THE WRITING ISN'T EVEN STRAIGHT!!! one of the A's in my word looks TOTALLY different from the other A, and it is trailing off the line of writing. My tattoo looks awful, as someone with neat-ish hand writing just wrote the word on my skin. It is not crisp, it is not straight, it's not even consistent, as like I said, one A is much bigger and looks like an O. the other A is fine. i'm very upset I will probably get it fixed by someone else (more $$$) or just get it removed (even more $$). This tattoo meant a lot to me and I'm just so disappointed in the artist, and in myself for letting him talk me out of what I specifically wanted. I'll never ever ever let an artist give me a half free-handed tattoo ever again, when I GAVE HIM the font on paper to scale.

Please listen to me when I say this, never go to this place for a tattoo. This is the worst place in Calgary to go to for a tattoo, my tattoo artist was high while he was working on my forearm and ended up destroying my forearm. I now have a messed up permanent piece of art this big on my forearm. The artist that did my tattoo doesn’t know how to draw a straight line, I literally watched my tattoo Artist smoke weed before performing this tattoo. For anyone’s sake please don’t go here and ruin your body like mine now is

My fiance and I came in to get our industrials pierced, we read great reviews on this tattoo shop, the staff and their work, so decided to give it a go, i think we were in there a total of 20 minutes from walking in the door and signing forms, to walking out with both of our piercings done. It was very rushed and they were not very informative on much. Long story short i have to remove mine because of incorrect placement, it's becoming embedded where the bar rests and my fiances is crooked as all hell. 2 stars because the price was cheap, but now we know why.

All of the places I went to for a second opinion told me it wasn't even in the right spot and that I couldn't even get one where it was supposed to be due to my scaring from my surgery a few years ago. I went in to get my tragus (?) piercing changed, called in and they said that they would do it for free. I went and had my piercing put it, fast and easy and I left $10 but the fact that he was going to do it for free impressed me.

Jokers is a very clean, professional and friendly environment! I was able to get an appointment the same day to get both of my nipples pierced, initially I felt a bit nervous and uncomfortable as I expected to have a bit more privacy considering the piercing placements. However, Danny and all the other gentlemen in the shop were all very professional about a young woman sitting topless in the middle of the shop. Danny was able to re-pierce both nipples with no issues or hesitation. He is very good at what he does; very friendly, professional and welcoming. Despite me having a million questions and no issues voicing any concerns I had, Danny was extremely patient and attentive. You really can’t beat the price or the wonderful staff! Without a doubt, I will be back! Thanks Danny! ☺️

Great experience, got 4 ear piercings, two helix and two of my fourths, pain was 4/10 for all of them. Service was amazing, they let me run to the ATM and i was 12$ short and said it was okay so 10/10 experience!!!

Went here and had 3 piercing done; nose and industrial, all piercings I had done in the past but took out. All previous piercings that were not done at this shop took a lot longer to heal and the pain was significant. I noticed that Jokers placements for the piercings were different, but I went ahead with his suggestion and I'm so glad I trusted his opinion! My healing has been quick (especially my nose, no swelling or pain after) and I assume it is because the piercer is better educated on the anatomy than those who've pierced me before. I won't go anywhere else now.. def 10/10.

Very unprofessional setting, all employees were crowded around while my tattoo was being done and I couldn't get a word in to speak to my tattoo artist. It was like he wasn't paying attention at all. And even though we had a meeting before hand and several emails to talk about my tattoo design, he either ignored or forgot everything we discussed. Now I have a tattoo that is not at all how I wanted it to look and I have to pay $$$ to get it fixed, not to how I originally wanted it because that isn't possible anymore, but just to get it to look... Better. Maybe I will find a tattoo artist who actually listens to his clients.
