I've been tattooed by a lot of artist throughout the years and Josh has to be the warmest person I've ever worked with. My 7-hour session with him flew by because he was very easy to talk to. He had light hands as well which made the whole experience pleasant and enjoyable. The work he did on my sleeve was so thorough and detailed, I was totally impressed. As a customer, I couldn't be happier and I'm excited to get more work done from him.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Josh. Observing his portfolio online, the versatility in styles made me believe he could do anything and do it well. From the moment I stepped into his fun, clean, and inviting studio to do the consult, I instantly felt good vibes. Between the time of consult to appointment, Josh answered all my inquiries quickly and professionally. He brought my idea to life better than I could have anticipated. The linework is pristine, shading and colour absolutely pops, and the way he drew it to fit my body perfectly showed immense attention to detail. He made the time feel like it was passing quickly, with easy, amicable conversation (of course the fact that we’re both huge Misery Signals fans didn’t hurt). I think it’s worth noting too, that the prevailing advice online for women is in order to feel comfortable getting tattooes on “vulnerable” spots (mine being on the sternum), you should only see female artists. It really shouldn’t have to be that way, and I was 100% comfortable with Josh. I highly recommend considering Inktender Studio for your next amazing piece of body art!

Josh just finished a sleeve on my left arm and he did an amazing job. Josh was always excited to work on my piece and seemed just as pumped for me as I was. He handled things well when an injury kept him off work for a few weeks, apologizing and doing everything he could to re-book a missed appointment when it was convenient for me, especially considering all his other clients he had to juggle. Since my sleeve was completed I’ve had a lot of friends and co-workers show interest in Josh now that they see the end result. He is an extremely talented artist, if you like his style I would highly recommend!

Where do I start? I needed a cover up badly. I had a tattoo (half sleeve) that two other artists worked on, two years apart. I just wasn’t happy with it so did my research and found an artist I really loved, enter Josh. My tattoo was busy, primarily black and gray; honestly I was worried that I was stuck with it and that no one could make this better and Josh managed to make it come alive! His want to make this into something I was going to love was important, and his openness to working on a tattoo, that was already established, was amazing. I now have a piece that I LOVE! 11/10 or 6 Stars or 110% recommend! Josh is just awesome in so many ways! Beyond patient, even when clients are a bit difficult, and always 100% professional. He worked on a large thigh piece for me which covers scarring that I have in the area. He was very respectful in his inquires for photos of the artwork and the scarring. He designed an amazing piece that flows so perfectly with the shape of my leg and covers the scarring beautifully. The detail in his work in absolutely incredible and his overall skill is outstanding. 5-7 hours of tattooing and my pain levels were never too much to handle. He's very gentle and checks in often to make sure the client is doing okay. Just can't say enough good things about this studio and the owner/artist. I would highly recommend Josh! UPDATE: Just more good things to say! Josh has been amazing from start to finish with my tattoo. All 3 of my sessions were a pleasure and he truly went over and above for my final session. At my request he stayed an extra 2 hours past our original end time to finish my tattoo before I have to move away. I could not recommend Josh and his studio any more highly and I truly can't wait to come back to work with Josh again in the future. Well worth any travel necessary in my opinion!

Josh just finished an incredible sleeve on my left arm, and I have nothing but good things to say! What set him apart from other artists I met with is how interested he was in the story behind it. Even from his first email before the consultation I got the impression that he really cares about bringing his clients’ visions to life. This was my first large-scale tattoo and a very personal piece for me, so I was nervous about finding the right artist. But as soon as I met Josh, I was at ease. Josh was friendly, approachable, and most importantly, very engaging. He spent the better part of an hour with me listening to the story behind my vision, asking questions, answering mine, and offering some great suggestions I hadn’t thought of. Other artists I consulted with only gave me only gave me about 15 minutes and not one of them seemed to have any interest in my vision beyond making a buck. But Josh exuded so much passion for his work - he seemed almost as excited about my sleeve as I was. Josh also has the skill and professionalism to match his enthusiasm. My sleeve turned out even better than I imagined. He incorporated almost every element I asked for without it looking cluttered. He put his own creative spin on it, but still left my vision very much intact. His technique and attention to detail are remarkable - every part just seems to come alive right on my arm. And his studio is very clean and comfortable. Scheduling was also really convenient - I had plenty of time to drive from Edmonton for each session without having to leave in the middle of the night. I highly recommend Josh to anyone who is serious about wearing some beautiful and meaningful artwork on their skin. He will work hard to understand your vision, and even harder to bring it all to life for you. And you’ll have some fun getting to know a really nice guy in the process.
