Billy is an awesome artist and guy in general. He is funny, nice, super patient and was very helpful with the final decision of my tattoos. He knew what would look good and is great at improvising. I showed him an old tattoo I wanted covered up when I got there and without any hesitation he created beautiful work on the spot. The parlour is in a new building and it's super clean and tidy. Billy was always checking to make sure I was okay and made my session as comfortable as possible. There is even a pull up bar if you want to get a quick work out in or for the friend you decided drag along with you. Billy is also super quick with replies to emails, which is also nice. I would definitely recommend kiku tattoo parlour to my friends or anyone. I definitely had a great experience and I am happy with the work! I'll definitely be returning for any future tattoos as well!

This was by far the best experience I’ve had getting my tattoo. Billy is such a cool guy! The vibe and energy you get off of him when you walk into his parlour is amazing! Although the tattoo I wanted was difficult, but he made it exactly as I wanted it done. He made sure he did all the prep work accordingly and gave me a really great break down of what he would be doing. He made sure if I was comfortable and if I was in any pain etc. His shop closed at 7pm, but he took me in way past closing time because he wanted to make sure my tattoo would be done correctly and he could take his time. I was really impressed. You can tell Billy is extremely passionate about his work and loves what he does. He loves his job and loves seeing customers happy with the finished product. He’s very funny and friendly too which made me comfortable. I am very satisfied with my tattoo! The price was also very fair and reasonable. Great private tattoo studio in Burnaby! Close to downtown but far enough off the beaten path that it's a nice, quiet and calm place to get tattooed. Billy DeCola, the owner, is a super guy. Not only is he a great tattooer but he's personable and works with his clients to help them achieve the design they are looking for. I have gone to him for three custom pieces including a Japanese Traditional half sleeve, a thigh piece that was partially done using the tebori method of tattooing, and we are in progress on a full back piece. His studio is a calm environment with great art along the walls and exceptionally clean which is something you always want to see in a tattoo studio! There is even space for a couple more tattoo stations for visiting artists and with his extensive network built from his time on New York Ink and extensive travelling to tattoo around the world, I suspect there will be some great tattooers visiting his shop in the future! Billy is quick to answer emails so setting up appointments is a breeze.

First of all, the owner and operator (Billy) is the most professional tattoo artist I’ve been in contact with. He makes you feel safe and confident like you’re at the comfort of your own home. His staff carry the same values as him also. All the equipment is state of the art. Billy is also the best SMP practitioner in Lower Mainland. When it comes to SMP, he’s the standard bearer. I just did a tattoo removal session with Studio Kiku and their machine has a cryotherapy-cooling blower which makes the procedure a 100 times less painful. Kiku is by far my number 1 pick for a new tattoo, SMP or any tattoo removal sessions.

I went to the studio to remove my microbladed brows , at first i was excited and was hoping for a good experience since it was my first time but everything felt rushed ! I didn't feel like they took time and totally not worth the cost. my brows don't even look a slight bit different and the lady in the front desk sounded irritated when i called asking where the studio was, it was my first time and i didn't feel comfortable .

This place is the cats meow, they have it all here removals, tattoos, personality you name it ! Studio Kiku is clean, sterile, follow covid protocols to the T and they even have AC (living the dream guys). I came into remove my old brow microblade, This guy I tell you is a brow sorcerer cause he knew right away that I had a recent brow lamination. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the service done since they informed me about the chemical reactions that the laser could potentially set off or even worse, they blaze on fire. So I opted to remove some Small tattoos on my body instead. Virtually painless. Easy breezy lemon squeeze. Definitely found my new and favourite place and can’t wait to spread the buzz. Tip: make sure you don’t have any tint or brow lamination prior to your appointment.

I usually don’t take time to write reviews even when I receive great service . I had to make an exception this time around as Billy and his team exceeded my expectations . If your considering getting SMP this is the Standard of witch it should be held and measured by. From my first consultation ( witch was over a year ago) Billy took the time to educate me on the process and what to expect . He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed answering all the questions I had ( not pushy what so ever ). When it came time to book Bianca ( admin team )was great . Being slammed with a busy schedule she was very accommodating .She even took the time to send me reminders via txt and email witch I thought was a great touch. When I arrived for my first appointment, I was throughly impressed with the cleanliness and safety protocols took into place do to Covid . All staff had N95 masks on, I also saw Constant sanitizing while in and out of different rooms . This put my comfort level at ease . Time for the procedure to start .... This is where I was blown away . Billy made me feel relaxed and being personable as he is the time flew by . I had a total of 3 seasons and and each time Billy took the time to explain what to expect and how to make sure my aftercare was done properly .. the final result was more than a great job (only photos can do justice) but a confidence booster.. I want to thank Billy and his team again and don’t hesitate to choose Billy if your looking at getting SMP done..

My review is longer and different from others cause it’s more personal and life changing than a typical tattoo people get. My hair started thinning and slowly receding from the time I turned 20. It wasn’t until I had reached my late 20’s that it started becoming noticeable and I began looking for solutions. I had a consultation with the top hair transplant clinic in Vancouver but didn’t have the best experience when I met with the surgeon there and also the price didn’t really seem fair seeing as to there are no guarantees on how successful it would be and I would have wasted a large sum of money for nothing. So I began to look at other options and one day in early 2017, came across this rising trend of micropigmentation. There was only one place offering that in Vancouver at the time and their results gallery wasn’t exactly impressive, so I gave up on that and put the hair thing on hold. It wasn’t until a year later that I started searching again but this time for tattoo artists and just by chance, a guy named Billy DeCola popped up as not only one of the best results for tattooing but also for SMP, and he had excellent results in his image gallery. I guess it was fate and my luck that he had started a business here shortly after my last search. So I booked a consultation in October 2018 which went well and we made a plan for the kind of hairline he would do based on my facial structure and how many sessions I’d need. The place was clean with a great atmosphere and felt more like chilling in a buddy's living room. I also appreciated the fact that it’s a private studio as I like my privacy. I went for my first session about a week later and I was nervous (which I let Billy know lol) but he quickly put me at ease with how friendly he was and used numbing cream so I hardly felt anything. I didn’t even notice how the hours went by but before I knew it, the session was over. I actually wished it would have lasted longer cause believe it or not, I was having a good time talking to Billy about any and everything haha The recovery was quite simple and all went well, as long as you follow the few basic instructions. It was completely unnoticeable that I had anything even done to my scalp by the 2 week mark. I’m Persian and have olive skin and he did a great job blending everything in so that it looked natural, both with my skin and remaining hair. The following 2 sessions were even shorter and easier to heal from but each one made another significant difference. I went for my 3 month touch-up last month and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I paid 1/10th of what I would have paid for a hair transplant and yet have the natural look of having a shaved full head of hair. Also, unlike a hair transplant where they must sacrifice hair from other areas of your head (not to mention the scars) and lose density in order to have it transplanted to the top, I got to keep all my hair in that area. Plus, as I mentioned before, there are no guarantees how your hair will look after a transplant, or if you will have natural looking hair/hairline or enough density to make a huge difference but with Billy’s SMP, my whole look has been transformed and I look as young as I did a decade ago when I was 20. You see the results instantly, unlike waiting for months or years to see the full results of a transplant. It was really a no brainer for me and one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel lucky that the transplant consultation didn’t work out and I got this done instead. My life is a lot different now. I’m more confident and wear hats cause I want to, not cause I need to. No one has even been able to tell that it's not real shaved follicles. Not only do I feel that I’ve gained a new look and attitude, but also gained new friends. Billy is naturally a people person and easy to talk to, I’d recommend him to anyone as he's the best in Canada, and I’m sure one of the best in the world. Looking forward to getting my tattoos done with Billy in the near future too!

I messaged them with my concerns and they got back to me right away, and what stood out to me about them was how kind and accommodating they are. I had my concerns about scarring and other things since I have a medium to darker toned skin, and they reassured me and made me feel so comfortable. I had a consultation with Kaori and she was so nice and helpful and she did a patch test on me and answered all of my questions. I booked my appointment a couple weeks later and Billy did my laser removal. He was so nice and reassuring. I told him that I was a little nervous about the pain of the laser and he went out of his way to make my appointment as comfortable as possible and made me feel so much better. post consultation I had booked an appointment for my first session for tattoo removal. The reason was, I had a hair transplant scar that was improperly filled with ink over an year ago. I went to studio kiku to book a session hoping to have the ink removed in order and possibly have it filled in again in the future to blend in with my desired hair length. My first appointment was filled with disappointment. Upon arrival, Billy had suggested that I cut my hair shorter in order for the laser procedure (# zero). I drove approx. an hour to attend my appointment and was not given any prior steps and procedures to prep my hair for this operation so I assumed I would just show up. (my hair length at the time was #1 length on my scalp where operation needed to take place). Overall, I felt like this studio lacked compassion for what they do and I also felt disrespected. If they had sincerely apologized for their error and took my situation/scenario more seriously then I would definitely have given them another chance and reschedule my appointment. However, it seemed like they had no interest, and I wouldn't want to give a company like that my business. I would not recommend them based on the customer service I received. There are many more businesses out there that tailor the same services and have better customer service.

Worse customer service that I have ever seen!!! I had booked an appointment on Jan 26 for eyebrow tattoo removal with Billy Decola. After my first session, Billy told me I should book another appointment after two months, so I did and booked an appointment for Mar 30. Today when I arrived there, the reception (Biaka) told me Billy was busy, and Kaori was going to do my session. I did not accept that since Billy was the person I knew and I had an appointment with him, not anyone else. I had not received any notification also about this situation. I was so sad and frustrated since I had taken Time-off from my work and had driven about half an hour to get there. After 5 min, Billy came to me. Instead of apologizing, he talked with me in a very unpolite way and told me that I should accept the offer to have my session with her wife. I was shocked by such customer service and did not know what to say, and left without having my session. They should have informed me first, even before coming to my session, and they even did not apologize for what happened and were very rude to me. Logn story short, based on my experience, I just want to let everyone know that they are not professional and how they behave with their customer is not acceptable. They wasted my time and made me feel terrible today. Never recommended!
