It doesn't matter how good the artists are from this shop based on other reviews....but the professionalism is garbage! Book for a month with no reply and followup, called them 5 days before the big day to ask and guess what NO DESIGN still! How can you trust someone to put a permanent ink in your skin who doesn't even know how to follow up with their customers or REPLY to their Email! A Simple task that they cant seem to do!

I had Justin do my Monroe piercing and it was amazing. He made me feel super comfortable and he's so personable. When I said I was going out for dinner afterwards he took the time to make sure I wasn't bleeding anymore and gave me extra q-tips just in case. As well my friend got an ear peircing and was feeling like he was going to pass out and he was super patient and attentive to him. And told us stories to help him get through it. I cannot wait to go back and get more done!!

Do not get pierced here. Although they follow proper sanitary protocol, they are not experienced pierces. Myself, as well as other friends of mine have developed keloid scarring from improperly placed piercings. My nipple was pierced too shallow, and the wrong jewlery was used! I only found this out after going to another piercing shop and having another experienced piercer tell me this. My best friend got her nipple pierced here and it got so badly infected she had to go to the hospital to receive daily IV antibiotic treatment, she assumed it was just a coincidence, and once the infection healed, had her nipple re-pierced by sinister. It became infected and swollen again, so she went to another piercer for a second opinion, only to find out that sinister had pierced too shallow, and had used improperly sized and shaped jewelry! Althogh they seem completely professional, they are proving to have a track record of poor piercing skill. I've had dozens of piercings, and almost every one I have had done at sinister has had problems. Beware guys, beware.

Nice work, poor people skills. An audio system is set up to provide music for the entire place but boo for you if you're in the booth next to it. You can't hear anything and if you need to talk to the tattoo artist, you're screwed. You need to yell to be heard and then you get admonished for raising your voice. Also they're cash only, but don't tell you that until after they've done your tattoo for a walk-in.

I got my septum pierced by Justin back in July. It was my first facial piercing so I was super nervous! Justin was super calm and really fun, he made the whole experience painless and comfortable. The septum was done in the right place too which was a great relief! (I've heard many stories about how piercers mess it up easily) My septum isn't doing great though, so hopefully when I go tomorrow everything will be okay! They really deserve the tip they got from me! ???? I always recommend this place.

Having came away from a really bad experience at Black Rabbit, a friend recommended going to Sinister. Seriously, the whole experience couldn't have been any better! Very thorough, very profesional, really welcoming - there's a real family feel to the place, even my wife and kids were made to feel very welcome. The tattoo I wanted was no mean feat (based on an illustration) and Sam absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! I couldn't be any more happy with it. Sam managed to translate the illustration, embelish and elaborate on it - and turn it into something better than I possibly could have imagined!! Her line work is immaculate and her shading is spot on!! Sam was also very gentle, easy to talk to and made me feel very relaxed - so much so that I managed to sit for 6.5 hours! I'm now saving for my next tattoo and can't wait to go back to sinister skin. I'm a customer for life - couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Having bought a screw on post earring for my helix piercing, I was having difficulty putting it in on my own so I made an appointment with Justin. While it was a relatively quick fix, he was friendly and I really appreciated how he took extra care to not aggravate the piercing itself as the skin needed a bit of stretching from my previous, smaller earring. To top it all off, I wasn't even charged for his time (meanwhile a friend of mine paid $10 elsewhere for essentially the same thing). Based on this experience, I'd be happy to recommend and return for future piercings!

I had my septum pierced here the other day, and it was about as good an experience as I could have hoped! I just walked in with my friend, but I'm sure we also could have made appointments. Our piercer was Justin, and he was a great mix of knowledgeable, professional, fun, and comforting; he made it so easy and I totally trusted him. Just so you know, they are cash only, so bring cash! I also follow a couple of their tattoo artists online, and their work is excellent!

I got my septum pierced a couple of months ago from here, I noticed after awhile that it got pierced in the wrong spot, it was not pierced at the bottom where the cartilage is. It got pierced pretty far up in my nose, I had intense pain for about two weeks after it was pierced To the point where I couldn’t even touch my nose without being in pain. It finally stopped but I decided to take it out after. It’s been out for a couple of months now and I continued to clean the area but now it is severely infected. However The service was really good and the people at the store are nice. I just wished it got pierced in the proper spot.

I got two nose piercings and a industrial by the piercer, and can I just say he was amazing!! Number 1, he talks to you when he’s piercing you. Number 2, he’s so funny and kind. Number 3, everything he uses is very clean, it comes in packages so no one has touched them. Number 4, he makes sure if you are okay after getting it pierced. He’s a great guy! I never bleed out once! For a 5 star place the pricing is not bad at all! Everyone is very friendly too:) I’ll be coming back here.

If I could give a negative review I would, that's how mad I am at the extreme lack of professionalism. My daughter had an appointment for an ear piercing at 5pm tonight, at 4:30 they phoned and said they were running late and could she come in at 5:15. Sure, no problem, it happens. They show up, follow the protocols and texted the piercer. No response, so my wife calls, no answer, my daughter calls, no answer. They wait outside, in the rain for 20 minutes, then someone inside turns out the lights to the front door/stairwell. My wife then calls the front desk, no answer. Completely and absolutely classless and cowardly. Just answer the phone and say you are still running late. Not very hard. They still aren't answering phone calls. So very very unprofessional. I would like to add to this review and say that the owner contacted my wife the next day and my daughter was able to get her piercing that day. Free of Charge!! This was much appreciated and I am very thankful for the owners stepping in and making everything right. This is why we like to support local business, they can and do take the time to make things right when mistakes are made.

Justin calmed my nerves going into the piercing, followed all precautions and made the whole process an totally pleasant breeze. My piercing turned out perfect, not crooked at all and he seems to be an incredible experienced piercer! If you’re looking to get a piercing done I can not recommend Justin enough! Sinister skin took and followed all COVID distancing, capacity, and safety precautions and took great care of me and my friends(only one of us permitted in the building at a time due to COVID rules which is wonderful to see them truly taking the safety of their clients and themselves seriously!) we all left VERY happy. 10/10 would recommend for your next piercing!

First time I went here I was met by a girl who was very off hand, blunt and unfriendly. I wasn’t going to go back there but it’s the only place around Coquitlam that I know of that does piercings. So begrudgingly I went back there today. This time I was met by a super nice, friendly guy who happily swapped out my piercing for me and didn’t even charge me. He just said pay it forward. Sooooo it is not the shop it just happened to be that girl. I will go back :)

If I could give this zero stars, I would. We had an appointment for my daughter to have her septum and helix pierced. She was very excited to have this done. After waiting several days, the day had finally come! She shows up for her appointment but was told the piercer had some sort of emergency and they had to cancel. Apparently they had left her a voicemail, but she never got it. She was pretty upset as she was sooo looking forward to having the piercings done, but understood that in an emergency situation, of course her appointment would be cancelled. It would’ve been nice to gotten the vm beforehand, but okay, these things happen. So she reschedules her appointment for the following week. Again, she anxiously waits for the day to arrive. It finally comes. We show up for her scheduled time and called the number on the door so she can be buzzed in. No one answers. She tries again, no one answers. She calls the studio number, no one answers. She stood there for 20 minutes, calling both numbers and no one answers. She comes back to the car where I’m waiting for her as she didn’t know what else to do. I told her to go back to the front door and keep trying. So she does, and 10 minutes later, she’s finally let in. We were both relieved! As she’s waiting for her piercing, she’s chit chatting (with someone who works there) about what she’s having done and making small talk etc. 20 minutes go by when they finally tell her, “your appointment was yesterday, you missed it!” Um….excuse me? I’m pretty sure we had the right day and time!. Needless to say, this was a huge disappointment and what a complete waste of time! We won’t be going back a third time

Fantastic tattoo artist (Aaron) he did my aunts’ tattoo and it was impressive. I really love his job. I get my piercing done here and it’s a very sanitary place, clean equipment, friendly and very cool artists. My friend gets his tattoos done here as well and he’s very satisfied as well. The girl on phone was so helpful .She got us in immediately and my daughter said Justin was so nice and helpful and did not make her feel embarrassed for not being able to put piercing in herself. A moment later piercing was in and my daughter relieved. He wouldn't even accept money for it. A great guy! A terrific piercer!

Justin is such a funny guy which helps take your mind off things. A very professional individual with great attention to detail.
