I have been a patron of the Burlington location for multiple appointments. My first experience I was left with my mind completely blown, simply amazing! Just when you think they couldn’t do any better…they go ahead and out do themselves. Anita is an astonishing artist, yet even more so, she is an absolute peach of a person. The entire staff (from owner Asia and all the artists) treat you like your friends from childhood. The cheerful chatter and complimentary conversations that occur in this building leave you feeling overjoyed. The entire crew cheerlead each other’s work and make each patron feel like they are engaged in the entire experience. My many hours spent with Anita and the crew have been some of my favourite times. Clean, bright and welcoming are the best ways to describe their wonderful sanctuary of skin art. I have been to many shops throughout my years and can tell you that this place has no rivals. The soothing buzz of Anita’s coil machine provides me with so much satisfaction. The incredible intricate artwork that Anita does is nothing short of astounding. This business deserves a 8 star review but my Google button won’t let me go that high. If you are within a plane ride and Uber away, I recommend getting your next tattoo at Painted People! Love these guys and dolls!

This is my fifth tattoo, and is the sharpest, straightest tattoo I have by far! Anita ensured everything was perfect, even with a last minute slight tweak, and I would definitely recommend her and the shop! And - their Soapy Penguin tattoo balm was an added bonus! Love this shop and can't say enough good things about it. My first visit here was such a surprisingly great experience and I felt so welcome and comfortable that I knew I'd be back (and I have been). Very clean environment, everyone I've met is friendly, and the overall atmosphere just has a really pleasant vibe. I've had my tattoos here done by Asia and she's pretty amazing to work with -- very genuine with a collaborative spirit. I really enjoyed bouncing ideas off her, getting her professional input and working out each of my designs with her, from color scheme to positioning, etc. Connecting with your artist is important and I like that Asia listens to me and "gets me". Although I've not had work done by Kristina or Mikhail, I've seen their work on others when I've been in the shop and they're super talented, too. I'm so happy to have found Painted People and the fact that they are in my neighborhood and i don't have to travel downtown just makes it even more sweet!

Asia has been doing my tattoos for over 15 years now, most recently November 29th, 2018. She is amazing at what she does and her shop is a reflection of that. The facility is SO CLEAN. It is so cozy it almost feels as though your in a friends living room hanging out. The drawing she did for me was awesome, and the final result in the tattoo was a mirror image of the initial drawing. Top it all off, they fed me pizza and wings at 9:30 pm after a long day of work and a few hours of tattooing. Top Notch parlour, great experience that I highly recommend!

Anita met me for a consultation about a cover up for a tribal tattoo. She explained to me several things (such as negative space, having to tattoo much larger than the original tattoo, spacial awareness**, and went over some fonts for another tattoo, in which she explained her opinion in how negative space affects certain letters) for almost an hour, ending just prior to the arrival of her next customer. Other than that, she answered some of my general questions about her tattoo gun (rotary vs coil i think). She was extremely friendly, and pleasant to deal with. She has been tattooing since '97, and although I may not be doing a cover up with her anytime soon, she did take the time and consideration to go over various styles, future tattoo planning for myself and share truthful advice, instead of acting as a production shop just pumping out at as much work as possible. I look forward to working with her one day in the future because you can tell she really does take pride & care in her form.

From the minute I entered the studio they were friendly, courteous and ensured I was comfortable while I did the consult. This was my first tattoo. From the moment I called for an appointment to walking out the door, I had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff was very warm, welcoming, accommodating and ensure your comfort AND safety (esp in a pandemic) was a priority. The artist, Ashley, was friendly, paid attention to detail, took her time to ensure perfection and gave good energy all around. I was a little nervous about getting a tattoo, but Ashley took her time to walk me through and talk me through.The shop was clean and in regulation according to the health and safety guidelines.
