Walked in to make an appointment and was thoroughly ignored for five whole minutes by a guy who was sitting in the office and could clearly see us standing there. No 'hello,' no 'I'll be with you in a second,' nothing. You definitely lost this and any future business from us. If you don't want to talk to anyone, keep your door locked and put up a sign saying 'by appointment only.' Pffft. Just because you're a tattoo parlour doesn't mean that being friendly and welcoming is taboo or uncool.

I went in to book and get a consultation of sorts. This was all after a string of phonecalls trying to find somewhere that would take me and my siblings. Karen. The diamond of a woman is the best manager anyone could ever speak to. She was pleasant on the phone and better in person. We got to speak to one of the artists who'll be doing my sister's tattoo and they were just enthralled on conversation. The shop is so incredibly clean, smells amazing, and if you're a DC (specially Superman) fan...you'll love it. Everything abouty first visit there is beyond five stars and I can't wait to get all of my tattoos there!

Literally the best tattoo shop I've ever been to! I found this place from doing some research on the internet; the name itself got me hooked from the beginning to be honest haha. When I got there the first time, all the staff were super welcoming & extremely friendly, AND they fed me too! (: I had Andi do my tattoo, and I am absolutely floored by the result! I am looking into booking my next tattoo here and realized as I looked through the reviews - my original review never posted! My first experience at this location was amazing for many reasons! I was tattooed by Stephen. He was extremely kind and clearly passionate about his work! When I had tattoos done before, I was quite nervous, didn't want to look and at times found it quite painful. At Kryptonian Ink, this was not the case! I actually found it interesting and enjoyable to watch the tattoo be done (on the inside of my forearm) and Stephen was encouraging of this, though very supportive of my nerves and let me go at my own pace! This tattoo although the more intricate of all of the ones I have, felt the least painful. I think this was attributed to the comfort, professional skill and resources at the studio. Overall it was a great experience and a story I love to share. Much respect for Stephen and his studio - would definitely recommend! :)

A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE WITH GREAT ARTIST AND STAFF My dad always told me Rome was not build in a day. Five months ago, I walked into Kryptonian Ink to discuss a tattoo that I wanted to get. Stephen the owner welcomes me in and explain to me the art of tattooing and what its all about. His staff was friendly offering coffee water,making you feel comfortable. Stephen showed me different types and styles of the tattoo I wanted done. I told him your the expert you have an idea of what I want, I will leave it in your hands. Great he said I can really see he wanted this so he can make it flow to my body showing the right angle of the tattoo, to my body's muscle points. So he had a plan. Then I asked him can I come in next week? He laughed and said five months, I replied what!!! he said you heard me correctly five months. Waaaaw. Then I thought people who do great work are busy,I was thinging am in business my self and am booked way ahead as well, I tell my customers better to wait a little now,than to wait later and pay more to fix someones f..k up. So I said yes lets book it. So finally five months past I met Stephen again two days before to go over everything, he spent another hour or so making sure we were on the right page,with what I wanted. The day came, I was there at 11am, Steaven sent for coffee bagles before we got started, after our coffee, I was asked to go into the tattoo room with staff member,she was showing me how they prep the station,cover all the equipment in the room all tools ect ect. Oh and you can acually smell the cleaness when you walk in the door. Then finally the moment came Stephen is working away, everything is going well, its almost 6pm we are about 60% done. Steaven orders pizza and pop because he knew we were going to be there for a few hours yet. This was a two day sitdown, but Stephen knew I wanted done in one. No pain no gain????. After the pizza he went back at it and at 10 50 pm he was done including the bandaging. This tattoo was exactly what I wanted it was FREEKEN OWSOME. He then took another hafe hour explaining the aftercare the healing process,he had already done that before,but wanted to make sure. Oh and by the way the ointment for aftercare was FREE its included.???? I can go on and on but I think by know you know why I gave KRYPTONIANINK a well deserved 5 star. I totally recommend this place. REMEMBER you DONT NEED a licence to open a tattoo shop. So ANY Tom Dick and Harry can open a shop. So please do your HOMEWORK. Thanks again Stephen. Wonderful experience! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Steve is very educated on the anatomy of the skin and healing process, and a very talented artist (one of the only shops in Hamilton that will properly do white script tattoos). He also will show you every step of setting up his very very clean work station. This is the cleanest shop I've ever been to. I highly recommend this shop!

I have had 3 tattoos done there in the last 2 months and have been very pleased with all of them! Andi has been my artist for all 3 and she has done an amazing job! Stephen, the owner, runs a very organized, clean and friendly atmosphere within his shop. They care about your tattoo and how happy you are with it and go the extra mile to ensure it heals the way it is meant to! I would absolutely recommend going here for any tattoos you need done. There is a bit of a waiting list but it is absolutely worth it!

Long overdue review for Kryptonian Ink. This place is AMAZING. The atmosphere is over the top, comfortable and most importantly CLEAN. I had Andi as my artist and wow. She is extremely knowledgeable and efficient when it comes to using a sterile and clean technique. She was also so patient with me and made sure I was 110% happy before we started. Not only was Andi awesome but the rest of the staff was just so pleasant and like a family. They offered beverages throughout the session, made sure I was comfortable, and even offered to get me something to eat (because I forgot to eat earlier that day). Additionally, they have Netflix and wifi for us! You literally feel like you're in first class. Overall, I was more than pleased with my tattoo (thank you so much Andi <3!). My tattoo is healing perfectly thanks to their advised aftercare. I will definitely be back for more! 12/10!

Great experience...they are fixing a hacked up and badly scarred tattoo I got three years ago from another shop here in Hamilton. Stephen and Andi were awesome and really took their time. Tattoo is being done in two steps so it isn't even finished and am already beyond happy with it...highly recommend this shop. UPDATE My tattoo is finally done and looks 1000% times better than it did and even over scar tissue I had less pain during and after the tattoo. Highly recommended shop...get after care and concern for the client. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Shop is clean and bright. Artist Dita is great, except she has to go answer the phone and help people that walk in to answer their questions, instead of continuing to tattoo the person that booked their time to come in and pay to have tattoo done. Each time needing to reglove and have you sit and wait. Not Dita's fault. Shop owners need a front desk person for amount one pays for a tattoo so to get the professional attention on expects from the artist.

Horrible and frustrating experience, booked the appt with Lauree for over a month just to be told half hour before the appt that she cancelled on me! “Threw her back out” the day before which she should of called me to give me a heads up!! Very poor excuse.. frustrating and very unprofessional.. will never suggest her as an artist to anyone. P.s glad the management & the owner are lying in response to this.. we did not leave abruptly we sat and waited the afternoon for the owner to arrive in order to give us our money back as she couldn’t do anything without him present! They refused to have another artist do the work saying they were fully booked and we’d have to wait another long wait.. and for what to be cancelled on last min again?? No thanks!! UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT!!! This isn’t highscool either so take the blame like any good responsible owner and work to make better not blame the customer for being unsatisfied with poor service!!!

What an amazing place! The staff are super nice always asking how you're doing and offering coffee, water.. you could literally eat off the floor in there, their cleaning of both the facility itself and the regime they go through each and every time a client comes in for a tattoo to make sure everything is germ free is spectacular. Warren was so fast, he was able to completely rework an old tattoo as well as do a new one in about 4 hours. Thanks Warren and Steve.... you rock!

UPDATE: went in today and met with the owner Stephen he was such a sweet man, man who keeps his word & I freaking love my new tattoo he did an amazing job. Love that he took the time to draw me something custom while I was there I walked out with something different than I had envisioned in a awesome way. This is a shop that cares not just about money but about what he does. He also showed me alot about what I should be looking for before getting a tattoo in any shop very informative & takes pride in his shop & what he does! Today everyone in the shop was super friendly and offered us drinks and made sure my son and I felt comfortable. Will be returning in the new year this shop is so busy lucky to get an appointment 6 months to a year in advance now I know why. 5 Stars Isn't Enough I wish that I could give more than 5 stars following our experience at Kryptonian Ink. My sister in law and I went to this location after a lot of thought and consideration. We were extremely pleased with our experience. We had the extreme pleasure of meeting and working with the owner Stephen Stacey. Due to our inexperience he took the time to talk us for over two hours. He showed us all of his equipment and the additional steps he takes to ensure the safety and comfort of all of his clients. When it came time for us to get our tattoos he made sure that we were comfortable. He was friendly, considerate and very funny. He made the entire experience fun and interesting from start to finish. My wife and I got matching tattoos from Laurie.... Very nice and clean shop, offered water, tea and coffee countless times while we waited and although Laurie had a migrane she toughed it out for us.... Nice private tattooing rooms with viewing windows, only thing that caught us off gaurd was the pricing as a little over an hour combined for our tattoos was $400. Overall a good experience and would definitely consider a return if we were to get more work done

It was mine and my sister's first ever tattoo experience and it was by far anything we could have hoped for. I had called that day to see if they had any time to do a couple small tattoos and they don't ever have time but I was lucky enough to call when Stephen had a client who didn't show. We came around 5:30 and Andi and Stephen were so incredibly thorough, clean, tidy and careful and caring it made our experience absolutely amazing. The tattoos turned out exactly like we wanted, the process was not as painful as we had thought it would be and it went like a breeze. They are booked up for the next year but I will absolutely be booking my next tattoo with them!!! If you have the chance to work with these guys it is an opportunity you cannot pass up on.

Had a great experience at Kryptonian Ink, it is a cool looking tattoo studio both inside and out, the shop is inviting and immaculately clean and hygienic, and everyone there that day was super friendly, I felt comfortable and safe there. My appointment was with Andi, she brought me into her room and went through the entire disinfecting and sterilizing of the room, work area, tray, machines being used, she covered the table with a sterile sheet, she covered exposed equipment in medical grade plastic - she even went as far as putting medical grade tape on the chair handle, nothing was exposed and everything was sterilized/disinfected in front of me, she took her time and was thorough and it looked and smelled like an operating room by the time she was finished. Andi also inspected the needles under a magnifier for flaws before using them on me, she has a light hand because I don't handle pain all that well, and this tattoo experience felt practically painless. I would absolutely refer anyone to this tattoo studio you will not be disappointed...actually my sister came with me today and left very impressed and will be getting a tattoo there herself soon. Thanks again Andi and Stephen, see you soon!

Warren was my tattoo artist. He came highly recommended by a friend of mine. This was my first visit to Kryptonian Ink (KI). The consult was quick and painless. The process was professional and explained well. The contract was signed and a deposit was provided. On tattoo day Warren met me with a wide smile and came prepared with a stencil which he had developed based on email correspondence between the two of us. Therefore, we hit the road running immediately. No time was wasted. I really appreciated him doing this. Warren’s work area was very clean and all important work space and tools were appropriately protected. Warren is a very personable man. He is also clearly experienced as I felt his “touch” was perfect. The almost 3.5 hour session went off without a hitch and it felt like it flew by. The tattoo after care was exceptional. The process the KI team has established truly puts the client’s well being at the forefront. Detailed instructions were provided which included timely photos to be sent to Steve (owner) for after tattoo assessment. This was very cool indeed. I have no reservations recommending KI. I look forward to my next visit and I thank Warren, Steve and the ladies (sorry I did not ask you for your names) for a wonderful experience. Cheers….

Beyond happy experience! I went to Kryptonian Ink a couple weeks ago to get my second tattoo. I left with a tattoo that was even better than I had envisioned in my head. Not only is my tattoo beautiful, I had such an amazing and unforgettable experience with Stephen and his staff. Everyone was so friendly and heart warming, they made me feel so comfortable and right at home. Even before he started the tattoo, Stephen was so professional, examining the needles with me, showing me exactly how safe and and sanitary they were. He even showed me the difference between a good needle and bad needle. He explained everything he was doing during the process and made sure to even check in on me after some time. I was feeling a bit light headed (from lack of eating beforehand) and his wife was so sweet to give me a homemade protein ball, and I felt better soon after. He took his time and knew exactly what I wanted for my tattoo, even better than I could explain it myself! This is how you run a tattoo shop! I had the best experience, and already wanting to plan my next tattoo with Kryptonian! Highly recommend!

Thank you kryptonian ink for making my first tattoo experience amazing! I was at a different local tattoo shop in the morning and they told me my idea was stupid and it defied the laws of nature and they wouldn't even try or make a sketch for me. I got my first tattoo today (April 6, 2018) by Andi. She did an amazing job in capturing the colour of my cats in a cartoony way. I highly recommend her, and will definitely go back again! Update: 4 days or so after my experience, I booked my second tattoo. I gave Andi basically free rein over what it looked like. While I had to wait 3 months (July 14, 2018) it was worth the wait. I got an absolutely beautiful and unique work of art. I can guarantee that I will never be going to any other shop or set of artists. It was the 5 star Tattoo, hygiene, equipment and professionalism. The one thing most people don't think about when deciding is the after care provided. This is not your regular tattoo shop, this one of the best experiences you will ever have. For starters, their prices are incredible, especially for the high quality work you will be recieving. Secondly, the knowledge (santization, sterilization and after care) you will take away from them will leave you questioning why you even went to any other tattoo shop in the first place. Finally the quality is by far some of the best I have seen in all of Hamilton. If I could give this 10 stars, I would still feel like that isn't enough. I would like to take this moment and thank Dita, one of their best artists, who tattooed me earlier today. She is incredibly skilled and extraordinarily knowledgeable. I went for my first tattoo there and I had a great experience! I first heard about this place because I heard people with dark skin had a good experience there. The thing is tattooing dark skin is different and sometimes tattoo artists dont know how to. However, that's not the case at Kryptonian Ink. Stephen was very professional: he walked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. He also collaborated with me to make a design that best suited my interests and the outcome was beyond my expectations. The accommodations are nice as well, while you are getting tattooed you can watch netflix, or listen to music and relax, if that's what you'd like. The tattoo required me to be shirtless, and while I dont like to be shirtless, I felt very comfortable because of the professionalism and the accommodations. If you are looking into getting your first tattoo (or just another tattoo of course) definitely book a consultation at kryptonian ink, it'll definitely be worth your time. The artists there are interested in working with you to create what you want, even if you don't know what you want.

Made my booking right when Covid hit and was pleased that Karen reached out to me to reschedule near their reopening and was able to work around my 3 week vacation + quarantine by having Stephen as my artist on a day he usually doesn't take the chair so it was very appreciated of Stephen! The shop is amazingly clean and well taken care of. Stephen was amazing during my process of getting my 2nd ever tattoo by taking me into his room to include me in the brainstorming and overall design of my tattoo. It turned out absolutely amazing and Stephen made me feel very comfortable and confident ensuring me it was looking awesome. He was very friendly and easy to talk to, cracking jokes, poking fun at each other, and listening to music. He answered any questions I had throughout the tattoo, explained the process and understood what I was feeling when I was in discomfort. Throughout the process Karen would also check in on us to see how we were doing and asking if we needing anything to drink or eat. After the tattoo was finished he was very thorough about what he was putting on me to keep it clean, a paper of what to potential look for during the healing process and what to do in case of said situations. He also told me about the plasma discharge so I wouldn't freak out, and has me text him pictures throughout the first week with the bandage on to ensure its healing properly. Overall an amazing experience and if I decide to get another tattoo, Kryptonian Ink is definitely where I'm going!

I had the most incredible experience at this shop! 1. I was accommodated with the last minute changes I made to my tattoo (it was a lot of extra work for Stephen- but NEVER did he complain about having to redo it or make me feel like I was a bother) 2. This is the cleanest environment: I was shown everything from top to bottom of what measures they take to protect themselves and the public from cross contamination. 3. Best Owners- I spent a total of almost 12 hours with the owners and staff on a Saturday and returned for another 6 hours to finish my piece. During this time I was fully accommodated (pop, snacks, lunch etc) these are things that just DO NOT happen anywhere! I was made to feel completely at home and comfortable- I really appreciated this. 4. Professionalism: simply can't get anymore professional. When you are working with areas of your body that are exposed, it can be naturally uncomfortable. The level of professionalism that Stephen and staff demonstrated I was extremely thankful for. I LITERALLY felt more comfortable at this shop then my own Doctors office!!! 5. Truly Talented- incredible artists and pays attention to EVERY detail. From natural body movement, placement, right sizing your personality, etc. Just amazing.... I would go back to this shop in a heartbeat and also recommend it to friends/family. I have no words for how incredible my experience with Steve and Kriptonian Ink was. For my very first tattoo, we were a little short on time because I had to run afterwards but Steve and Andi made the experience so beautifully well-rounded for myself and my younger sister's first tattoo experience! Both of these individuals had such extensive knowledge on tattooing and made this experience so comfortable! They thoroughly explained every single thing that they were doing (it also helped that I was asking questions and curious to hear what they had to say), they demonstrated the entire station cleaning process as well as the do's and dont's of proper tattooing so as to ensure that there is zero possibility for infections or any sort of cross-contamination. They are absolutely pros at what they do, and you can just feel how passionate they are with their work just by talking to them! It felt as if I knew Steve and Andi for years after the process was finished, even though I had only met them an hour or so prior! Highly highly HIGHLY recommend this shop for tattoo virgins, these two made the experience legitimately stress-free. Honestly I want to come back to this shop for the rest of the tattoos I ever want to get!!!

Kryptonian Ink is the 5th tattoo shop I have been to and the last!!!!. Wow!!!! I have never been so impressed by the customer service and cleanliness in any shop!. The accommodations that were made to meet my schedule were impressive. The fact that I was told how to take care of my tattoo in detail, to take pics everyday, send them in and get a quick response was remarkable!! Amazing is an understatement! Stephen was phenomenal. My wife and I went in at a time when they weren't even supposed to be open but he was kind enough to work around our busy schedules to help us out. We were blown away by how clean the business was and even the set up process was super in depth about keeping biohazards out. Very very strict with keeping things disinfected and sterile which was great to see. Stephen took the time to make us feel relaxed and had us watch him set up the room in which I immediately felt calm and trusting with doing the job. It was a very relaxed experience (my first tattoo ever) and it was such a thrill that I'd only ever go back to him to get work done!! FANTASTIC!!!

I first started off looking at other places to get my half sleeve finished and had terrible experiences. So I looked online and found this place and decided to give them a call. Stephen was very accommodating and met me after hours to discuss what I wanted. This lead me to walking into this studio in October and instantly feeling welcomed. I sat down with Stephen and we discussed what I wanted for probably two hours. The best part is he even said I don't have a time limit on consultations. He will literally sit with you for hours to design the tattoo of your dream. Well today I went and I got my half sleeve finished by Warren and honestly I have never been so happy with the outcome of a tattoo. He is ceazy talented, along with all of the other artist there. All of the staff are so amazing and make you feel like you are at home in your living room. From the coffee offerings to water to pizza to everything, it was the best experience I have ever had. I recently got a tattoo done here and would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get work done. Stephen is fantastic and really cares about his customers and giving them the best experience. He spent time talking to me about the pieces I want done and connecting me with the right artist. During my session he would check in on me (while he was work on his own client) and offered both food and drinks during my sitting. When you leave his shop the care continues. Regardless of who your artist is, Stephen asks that you send him daily photos of your tattoo so that he can monitor the healing process and make sure that everything is going fine. I have had 3 other tattoos done and no one has ever gone above and beyond like Stephen. Not to mention that the quality of artwork by the artists is unbelievable. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BESY PLACE TO BE TATTOOED! Everyone from the artists to the admin is phenomenal. The environment is 200% clean and sterile and amazing decor. I have 2 tattoos, and was going in for a third and flew in from Boston for it. Stephen took one look at my second tattoo and said they mauled my skin and caused keloid scarring and went too deep (raised lines and lines that spread). He knows his stuff, but took time to explain what happened and how he could fix it! (He does reconstruction and fixing of tattoos, this man is amazing). As he tattooed, he kept checking on me, did what he could to numb the pain when it got bad, set up music and TV to watch in the meantime. And when it was done I had a tattoo that I actually wanted! After care is also amazing, they give you all of the good stuff as well as personal care throughout the healing. Just the kindness and education on the tattooing process alone was worth the money. This is the only shop I will ever go to, there are no others like it! This is not a fake or paid review. Note: give Stephen free reign on design, he is a magician and creative badass, you will not be disappointed!

The tattoo “artist “ Lauree was terrible I had an all day session for a tattoo that was supposed to be started and finished that day and we agreed to a Price before the tattoo was started but she didn’t finish the tattoo that day because she kept taking smoke breaks and finish before the time of are session because she “had to leave at this at a certain time “ even tho we scheduled an all day session which had a time of 8hours then she made me book another session to finish my tattoo and made me pay more then The price she originally gave me. Fantastic studio! I had work done by Andi and was very happy with the patience and time she put into something as simple as black script. I also got to see Steve and Dita work while I was there and was also amazed by their work. The owner, Steve, made everyone very comfortable and relaxed in his business. I was a little on edge at first but Steve immediately picked up on this and worked with me to put me at ease and got everything on the right path for an awesome experience. Andi perfectly explained every step of the process. This included explaining how and why each piece of equipment was sterilized and how it was going to be used. They went to far as to offer to let me see the bottle of sterilizing solution they used on the ink pots! Every step of the way I was impressed with their professionalism and service. At the end of the work customers are asked to visit Steve to have him review the job to make sure it meets his standards! I'm in the follow up days right now and I've been asked to text a picture of the tattoo to Steve each day to make sure the healing process is coming along properly and safely. These guys are definitely my choice for my next work.

Just a bonus that Stephen is a brave business owner doing what we all wish we were doing by taking a stand against these lockdowns that are crippling small businesses in Ontario!! For anyone with judgement towards this, you cannot truly believe you are more at risk with a one on one service in a sanitized shop as you are at Costco or Fortinos shopping among 200 people. Whether or not you consider this to be essential, it’s essential for him, his family and his staff to be able to stay alive and taken care of. Much respect for this guy!

I went to Kryptonian ink for my first tattoo, I decided to get "grandpa" tattooed on my foot in memory of my grandpa who had passed away recently. I have to say that after going here I do not think I will go anywhere else. The shop was very clean and the staff were very friendly and understanding. I also loved the fact that they provided care after the tattoo was complete (sending pictures everyday, tegaderm and lotion after the tegaderm is removed. The owner was amazing, as well as my tattoo artist. Andi did amazing lines and she was very friendly, I will defiantly go back to her.

They explained everything they were doing because it was my first tattoo and made the experience a great one! They kept offering coffee/tea/water and were doing everything to make me feel comfortable. As for the tattoo itself, I came in with a really simple concept, and Stephen turned it into an amazing piece of art. He is truly an amazing artist, as are all the tattoo artists at the shop. Original review: Walked in today for a consult for a large piece. The place immediately attracted me as it appeared spotless and Karen was amazing. Unfortunately Steven had just finished an all night session and was unavailable, but I did the consult with Karen. Despite not meeting Steve ( I am completely not holding that against him as I know what long days are like, and I love the dedication it implied), I am so much more comfortable for my first tattoo in 20 years and excited to see what he comes up with and working with him. Through my conversation with karen, I discovered that the owner has many similar interests as me, is a very talented pencil/realism artist ( clearly inspired by JD hillberry who i also try to learn from although not as well.) I felt so at ease just during my consult I immediately booked a smaller piece with the other artist there. So.... two tattoos coming soon. Highly recommend at least having a conversation if you're looking for a unique and relaxed experience. Karen mentioned i sound like a "lifer" and if the rest of my experience continues like my initial one..... i just might be. Edit: should have mentioned the second artist for the smaller piece will be Lauree, with whom I am also looking forward to working with.

This place is top notch. The owner is running a 5 star shop. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. The shop is exceptionally clean and well organized. I think that this is the best place to get a tattoo not just in Hamilton but the surrounding area. I have been to many tattoo parlours but will only go to this one from now on. I would trust any of there artists, if they are at this shop then they are excellent. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks Stephen I will be back.

Andi is so absolutely amazing! I have had 3 tattoos done by her and she knocks it out of the park each and every time! My first tattoo was a walk-in and she made sure to make time to do it for me! My husband also got his very first (and second) tattoo from her and she made him feel calm and at ease the entire time. I’m going to give some background first. 8 years ago bilateral mastectomy with no nipple saving. Lived thinking that no nipples was ok and any tattoos worth having quoted 700.00$. Fast forward to present and started considering tattoos after my husband met Stephen whilst tattooing an amazing sleeve and spoke of my situation. I met Steve and was so impressed with how respectable and caring he was in determining if my reconstruction was perfused enough to take the ink. Fast forward a year, my fear and insecurity the reason for waiting and now thinking why did I wait so long! I was greeted by Steve and other artists warmly and so excited for me. Steve wore a pink shirt for the occasion. It took 2 hours working together to create the perfect nipples for me. Consideration in size, colour, texture, and position were carefully created by Steve. Another 45 min in picking colours and drawing them on me ensuring he was completely happy with circumference and placement. The actual tattooing took 4.5 hrs, all the while respecting my modesty and dignity. The finished product took my breath away and made me cry. It was an all day affair and a lot more emotional than I had anticipated. It was interesting how Steve noticed that as my tattoo progressed my modesty increased as well Stephen is truly an artist and a man that cared about the journey that I had undergone and that I had finally finished because of him. His generosity in the giving of his time and talent will never be forgotten. I look at myself in the mirror and feel that I have never been without. Thank you from the bottom of my heart❤️❤️❤️❤️

Steven , the owner, and Andi made sure I was comfortable (water and coffee were offered several times) and provided all the information I required for aftercare. Steven goes over and above what you would expect being involved in the aftercare. I am already planning my next tattoo and it will be certainly be done by Andi in the Kryptonian Ink Studio.

She is absolutely amazing, super talented and her eye for detail is like nothing else I've ever seen and I've had 5 tattoos done elsewhere before I found her. I don't think I'll ever go to another place for a tattoo. My artist was Warren and to start off, he was darling! He truly got to know me and understood the seriousness of my sentimental tattoo. The equipment is state of the art and extremely clean and up to date. My favourite part of Kryptonian Ink was that as soon as I got my tattoo, I'm asked to send a daily picture to Steve, the owner. He understands that tattoos are forever and should have the upmost care during those times. If anything seems wrong, he opens the shop for you, just so he can check it! You will not regret it:)

Art is meh. Can definitely get better ink elsewhere in the city. But everyone has their own aesthetic taste. My biggest issue is the lack of care for infection control. Stay open during a shutdown; whatever. Data demonstrates that personal care and similar businesses are not places with high transmission. But to blatantly ignore basic infection control measures like physical distancing when possible and wearing a mask indoor demonstrates a lack of care or understanding of infectious diseases. If they disregard these infection control measures, what about infection control for blood-borne infections? Not worth the risk. [Edit after response from owner] - As I indicated in my review, I have no issue with a personal care business of any kind remaining open during a shutdown. The evidence demonstrates these type of businesses are not responsible for high rates of transmission. This is particularly true when proper infection control is in place. My review is about the lack of adoption of infection control measures for upper respiratory infections. With such disregard to infection control in a tattoo studio, the risk of infection (viral or bacterial) outweighs the benefits. I would rather go to a shop that is open practicing proper infection control measures than a place more interested in making a sensationalized political statement.

I need not have been though, because my experience was wonderful from start to finish. Dita spent a lot of time explaining the entire process and the safety precautions she used, and she was engaging and professional throughout the procedure. Went here for my first tattoo on the recommendation of many people. This was the best experience one could of asked for. Very clean and inviting shop, extremely knowledgeable, and very sanitary. They took the time to explain everything, make sure your comfortable, use top notch materials and inks, and basically set the standard on what your experience should be when getting tattooed. Stephen was there to answer any questions and review placement, check fonts and everything. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Andi was my artist was on point and very gentle and thorough. CLEANEST tattoo shop in town! Stephen was very throrough and surprisingly very knowledgeable about infection control. It really says something about the shop's reputation of working safe and clean, which really appease any customer's worries about unsafe practices. This shop is awesome! 5 out of 5 and would recommend to all of my friends! I just want to take a minute and write about my whole tattoo experience. First off, I went to Kryptonian Ink to finish my incomplete tattoo (Before and After pictures are attached). I originally had half of my tattoo done at a shop in Toronto by a family friend in April 2015. The reason I only got half of it completed was because I fainted during the tattooing process. After doing tons of research online and getting a full nights sleep and eating a healthy breakfast the day of; being totally prepared for my tattoo, I fainted during it. Now granted I didn't want a half finished arrow on my arm so he rushed through the other half just so I would be happy. I don't know why I fainted because it honestly wasn't that painful. But besides the reason, I needed a new place to get my tattoo finished the way I wanted. This lead me to Kryptonian Ink. After going to another local shop in Hamilton (I won't say which one), they told me my design was too small and they would not be able to do it. But after speaking with Stephen at Kryptonian Ink, I was super confident he would finish my tattoo and get the design the way it was supposed to be. I made my appointment in Aug/Sept 2016 for January 2017. It was the earliest he had available so I made the appointment. I was very anxious when the day came to finally have my tattoo finished. I arrived at 1100 and the staff there offered me coffee or tea and even went to Tim Horton's to get some timbits for the clients (at the time, it was only me and another girl getting a wrist tattoo done). Stephen took the time to show me all about tattooing, talked about his background and experience and spent a long time getting the stencil to perfectly line up over my unfinished tattoo. He did not actually start tattooing me till about 3pm. He was very gentle with my skin and constantly checking in with me on how I was feeling (after knowing how my first tattoo experience went). His apprentice put on Netflix to distract me. It was over before I knew it. I felt completely comfortable about getting my tattoo done here and the final product was amazing! I was so incredibly happy :D To make a long story short, If I could say anything about this shop it would be that the wait for one of these amazing artists to do a tattoo is ABSOLUTELY worth it! Please give them a chance and you will not be disappointed!

The price was very reasonable and the service was great. BEST QUALITY TATTOO SHOP!!! I came across this tattoo shop online and based on the reviews decided to check this place out. I had the honour of getting my tattoo done by Mr. Stephen Stacy, who is the owner. I desperately wanted to get a tattoo before returning to work in a few weeks and he let me come back in just a few days. I am a VERY PICKY person and he took the time and the patience with me to make sure my tattoo was exactly what i wanted and placed exactly in the right spot, even drawing a line down my arm ,which is where I got my tattoo placed, to help put my mind at ease knowing that my tattoo would be straight. words cannot describe my gratitude towards mr. stephen and his wife for trying to figure out a day and a time all within my deadline to get this amazing tattoo. i was freezing and i was offered a blanket and the heat turned up!! made sure i was 100% comfortable and answered all of my questions which were alot of repeat ones. this place has a home like environment that makes you want to go back. the quality of my tattoo is remarkable. i went into this place thinking i only wanted to get this tattoo and left thinking about my next design. the whole process is explained in depth and all equipment is set up as your in the room. all the packaging is inspected and explained in detail. look no further than Kryptonian Ink!!!! This shop is fantastic. From the first time you walk into the shop to the time you finish. Stephen, Dita and Andi make you feel comfortable. You can also tell when walking into the front door how cleanliness is very important to them, which makes me feel comfortable knowing that they take every precaution to ensure that the equipment they use is sterile. Andi did my tattoo. She did my son's tattoo and I was so impressed by the job she did with his tattoo that I decided to have her do mine. I am glad I did as she did a fantastic job on my butterfly with a drop shadow. They ensure that the tattoo is coming along the way it should as they have you text a picture of it every day. I am not sure whether I am stopped from getting another tattoo but I do know that if I decide to get another one then I will most definitely go back and have Andi do that one too.
