I got my full sleeve completed by Bobby and what a great piece of art it is. I get complements about it whenever I am travelling to other cities and also by locals. Both Bobby and San are only getting better at what they do. Both artists put 110% in all their pieces. I would highly recommend visiting these guys for all your tattoo inquires! Been getting tattoos for years now, Bobby was actually the person who did my first tattoo 5 years ago and it still looks fresh! Heard from a couple of friends and they said that he opened up a shop by my house and I wanted to get a new tattoo spontaneously. San greeted me when I walked in and said he could do my tattoo. BEST TATTOO EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE ???????????? Hosung is an absolute legend. I requested a design from a game that’s meaningful to me, and he drew it out more perfect than I could ever imagine. He was attentive during consultation, and extremely so during the session. He made sure the stencil was placed evenly on both sides (It’s two symmetrical ankle tattoos). That really helped because when I looked, it seemed good enough, but he took the extra step to reapply and make it flawless. For tattooing, he had a gentle hand and I didn’t experience any real discomfort aside from myself slouching XD due to the nerves in the foot, I think I kept involuntarily jolting a little, but he was so patient with me (sorry Hosung :’D) I’ve had a smaller tattoo done by Terra before too, she she was equally as attentive! Overall, the entire team is the greatest I’ve encountered so far. They’re a professional kind of friendly (stay relatively quiet because they’re busy focusing, and to not disturb the other team members because it’s an open studio with no walls between). Very sanitary practices in a modern studio setup (check out their Instagram for the studio in case you’re uncomfortable with being seen by other customers). I can’t recommend them enough. A million and one thank yous to Cloud Serpent Studios ????

Bobby did my first tattoo and he did an amazing job. He took what I envisioned and added his own creative style to the design. I didn't need to change any of it, I was very impressed with the details of the design. He was very patient and thorough throughout the process. He took his time to make sure the piece was aligned perfectly. 5 hours and another 7 hours on the ribcage, didn't seem so bad! Would highly recommend Cloud Serpent Studios! Amazing staff and artists! I went to Hosung for my first tattoo and he did not disappoint! He exceeded my expectations and drafted what I wanted as a tattoo perfectly. I only have these old outline pictures from my first appointment since I got a new phone but my tattoo is looking amazing so far and I can't wait till its finished. I just had my first tattoo session with Bobby. He sent me the final draft of my tattoo a couple days before my appointment. The sketch was made from scratch and was completely constructed by him. After going back and forth making minor changes I was very satisfied with the final product. I really appreciated that he was willing to listen to his client and was very responsive. We sat for 7 hours long...it was quite an experience since it was my first tattoo but he was helpful and guided me through the process. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a good tattoo experience to go to this studio.

Bobby is proficient and provides more than what the customer is expecting. I have dealt with a number of incompetent tattoo artists in the past and was intimidated that I would receive a similar service. That was not the case. Bobby produced a sketch prior to my arrival to the shop and explained to provide any necessary feedback I had. It was evident that he invested a number of hours on my sketch to try to achieve what I was looking for. He is probably one of the best Japanese tattoo artists located in the lower mainland and that reflects in each and every piece that he completes. I'm extremely happy with my full sleeve! The service was great, the artist I went to was San and he was so thorough.. even when I wanted to just get it over with and move on with the script I had chosen he was very persistent in making sure the script was perfect (he even took the temporary tattoo example off me and re-did it because he thought it wasn't straight enough although I thought it was). San was honest and trustworthy, he made me feel at ease and that says a lot considering it was my first tattoo!! I would recommend anyone to go here to get their art done. Although I only dealt with San personally, all the artists seem extremely talented, the studio is impeccably clean, and over all I just had a great experience with Cloud Serpent Studios! I was not disappointed :)

Bobby is such an amazing artist. Him and his team are very professional and talented. It was worth the waitlist for Cloud Serpent to get a piece done. Bobby is extremely patient and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and likewise I noticed the same standard from the other artists when they interacted with each of their clients. The environment was awesome and the variety of music that was playing throughout the day was chill, not too upbeat, to provide a more relaxing ambience. Even during this time of COVID, as I was there from open to close, I felt safe as their shop strictly adheres to health guidelines: having guests wash their hands upon arrival, limiting the amount of people by only having the artist and their client allowed on premises and no entry to walk-ins, curtains to divide each artist’s stations, consistent disinfection and sanitation, and ppe worn by everyone inside the shop.

Words cannot describe the professionalism and pride they have for the tattooing industry. As everyone mentioned, the cleanliness of the shop is at the top of its game. But aside from that, they use updated equipment and top of the line materials. So far, I got my lining done by Bobby just about 2 weeks ago. He’s very flexible on fulfilling what your ideal tattoo would want to look like. He explores different perspectives of the image and gives you various options on what you want your end product to be. I’ve been on Bobby’s waitlist for almost 2 years and needless to say, the long waitlist is worth every penny. I’ve already signed myself up for another year and a half wait to get a couple sleeves done. San and Terran did a few of my friends tattoos as well. Although their waitlist isn’t as long, they still do an amazing job. Based off their Instagram accounts (San: “hstattoo_css” / Terran: “terran.tattooart_css”), they each have their own respective uniqueness. San does a really good job on his hannyas and koi fishes. Terran, on the other hand, has anything with flowers on point. I think they are also accepting walk-ins from time to time. Overall, these people take pride in what they do and makes sure you walk off beyond satisfied with what you get. Also, if you ever get a chance to walk by their shop, make sure you stop by to check out the giant portrait of their infamous cloud serpent that’s hiding behind the counter. The amount of detail is phenomenal. PS. I’m not a paid reviewer if y’all are skeptical.
