I traveled to Vancouver to get my tattoo done at Chronic Ink by visiting artist Yuuz. The shop was very clean and extremely well designed, very efficient use of space, beautiful fixtures and details. Zoe and Jeff greeted me at the door and were extremely friendly. I filled out my paperwork and got to hang out with the shop puppy Churro ???? Zoe and Jeff were extremely helpful and informative about things to do in the city and Zoe even wrote down a long list with different neighborhoods and restaurant and bar ideas for us! A couple of weeks ago, my best friend and I finally planned (but last minute) to get the tattoos we had been talking about for years. We had been turned away from a couple of places in Kits already, but we lucked out and managed to snag the last walk-in slot of the day at Chronic Ink. Our 5-star worthy experience started from the moment we walked through the door. All of the artists were so friendly and found the right fit for us, which ended up being Clarissa. Clarissa was so professional and made sure her drawings were exactly what we wanted and had envisioned. We both walked away with two tattoos that day, but our matching avocado tattoos were the favourite! She was so easy to talk to and stayed well after the shop had closed to finish with us. I'd definitely recommend Chronic Ink and Clarissa to those looking for some fresh ink ????????

I've always lived by the saying "If you dont have something nice to say, dont say anything at all." However, I must say this-Amatuer artists-both artists that worked on my tattoo at Chronic were mediocre at best. The first one, I noticed after she'd already finished that the lettering was inconsistent and she didnt complete the outline of the design properly before she covered it with plastic. The second time was a simple touch up of an old cat tattoo. 2 days later I can see that the ink is all running together on legs and tail! The plastic is still on and it has not been exposed to any water, so I'm thinking she just didn't let it dry long enough before putting the plastic on top... I'm not impressed And would not recommend this place to a friend.

This is a new shop but it’s already being established as one of the best in town. Kaiju & Truong are absolutely insane in their own styles. I have two from Kaiju and her black/grey single need style stop traffic. Truong is probably booked until the year 3000, but having these two as some of leads for this shop makes for some amazing talent and an awesome team. Highly recommended! Also, beautiful shop :)

The worst service ever. My tattoo artist did not even introduce himself and I still don't even know his name. It was my first tattoo and I was sort of nervous and he just made it so much worse. He did not explain anything to me and maybe said 10 words to me the whole time I was there. I asked him how long the tattoo would take and he said "you'll see". The actually tattoo was way overpriced and have since found other tattoo shops and artists with way better communication and work. A few of my friends were looking to make appointments here and I have redirected them to other shops. I am not sure if it was just my artist but my overall experience was uncomfortable and I would not get another tattoo there again. Plus, they also changed my appointment 3 times.

My husband and I had just gotten tattoos from Louise, and despite us being super picky and annoying - she did a wonderful job! We showed up with a sample picture of a dragon we wanted, but we had a lot of changes that we wanted to make to it and Louise executed those changes perfectly and ended up drawing up a better dragon than the sample we provided, with better anatomy and details. To help those looking to get tattoos, here is how the experience went in more detail: 1) We emailed chronic ink our ideas for the tattoo (along with some sample images from google) and then got matched with an artist (Louise) for a consultation. 2) Louise listened to our concerns and jotted down what we wanted 3) Booked for an appointment about a month later (artists have busy schedules but that’s a good sign) 4) Days before the tattoo Louise sent us her renditions and we’ve emailed back with what we wanted changed 5) Day of the tattoo we sat down for an hour to really fix the finer details of the tattoo and she did them in front of us and kept tweaking it until we were 100% on it (she has a lot of patience) 6) Got the tattoo, and then she provided aftercare tips! She was super friendly and professional, truly an artist. Definitely recommend, and when I’ll be getting a full sleeve done in the future, I’ll keep her in mind ????

Shop was friendly and quick to respond to my inquiry. I was visiting Vancouver, so I had only a few days to book and my consultation was done on the spot before my appointment. The original artist I wanted didn't have any availability so I was booked with a guest artist. My 13x7cm floral line art tattoo ended up costing me around $600 in the end which was outrageously overpriced. I love the finished product, but don't think it should have costed $600. After consulting with other artists and friends about the cost of my tattoo, I feel comfortable saying I was overcharged.

I came in for the second time to Chronic Ink yesterday, and for this appointment I had the opportunity to work with Clarissa. For starters, she was super friendly and really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I came in just before the shop opened and because it had been more than 3 hours since I had a meal, she made sure to grab me a snack and some water to make sure I wouldn't feel light-headed or weak - which is something I really appreciated. For the actually tattoo, I was getting a custom piece she designed for me and it was beautiful! She spent a good amount of time talking about the sizing and placement of the tattoo and really reiterated the fact that she wanted to make sure I was happy and comfortable before getting started. Once the appointment was over she throughly explained the aftercare process and advised to contact her directly if I had any questions or concerns. Clarissa is amazing and I couldn't be happier with her work! Thank you so much for designing this custom piece for me. I've been looking for an artist to work with on a floral sleeve for years. I was searching instagram one day in August and happened across Jason's work. I was obsessed, I sent in a request and was booked within 48 hours. When the time came to planning out the piece and getting a drawing, Jason was great, explained his process so that I could make the best decision on how to start the sleeve. We decided to start with a natural plant creeping from my chest onto my shoulder and we'll keep working down my arm. I asked that we start with a poppy and juniper. His drawing blew me away, it wasn't just poppy and juniper, it was poppies, juniper and other leaves. The actual day of, started on time, he was friendly and responsive. He's so light handed, it was the easiest and most pain free tatt I have ever gotten, a couple of twingy spots but otherwise, I was completely floored when he said "We're done!" after 4 hours, time passed so quickly, I could have easily gone 6+. The details are insane, you'd have to see it in person to really see and appreciate his art. If you're looking for floral work, I highly suggest Jason! I look forward to continuing this piece!!

WARNING - DO NOT GET PIERCED BY COURTNEY AT CHRONIC INK!!! Getting my earlobes pierced by Courtney was the worst! The piercings themselves hurt, bled and were very slow to heal due to her lack of skill and care. She lies, does not respond when contacted, and on and on. It took nearly 3 months for her manager to finally contact me, apologize for my experience and issue a refund. In the meantime, I got 2nd piercings on my earlobes by Matt at The Fall. The entire experience with Matt was as good as my experience with Courtney was bad. I had no pain, my earlobes healed super fast, he was highly skilled, patient, kind and always available to answer any questions. Save yourself much pain (both physical and emotional) and just do not let Courtney do your piercing! I have never written a yelp review before, but just had to in order to hopefully help someone else not to have to go through with I did with Courtney!

By total fluke I was able to sneak in for a walk in appointment with Kyle at the last minute, and he was wonderful. So friendly and understanding when I wanted to change a couple things about the design - I have never seen such straight lines on a tattoo in my life! Good experience after all, I won’t get into the details but Louiseflowerbloom is an exceptional artist, she saved the day for me by choosing to do my tattoo when the other artist I originally was booked with couldn’t. I highly recommend Louise as she knows exactly how to make your tattoo piece the way you want it and makes you feel comfortable in the chair. Super friendly and her hand was so steady, didn’t hurt at all. I love my rose piece, very small and dainty and beautiful. So many compliments on it already! We booked an appointment for last Wednesday for 5 pm. They called on one day before and said they could not see us at 8 pm. And I told them it's not 8 it's 5. And they said 5 is given to somebody else. Then they changed it to Friday 5 pm. I drove at the rush hour from port port coquitlam to Vancouver for 1.5 hours. When we got there, first they said they canceled our appointment without even telling us!. But asked us to wait ( with lots of attitude), And the guest tattoo "artist" and told us she doesn't not have any room to book anybody!anymore! And somebody else could see us in April. Or we should go to a different tattoo parlor! It was a terrible feeling and the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

My sister and I got our first tattoos together, done by Clarissa! We wanted to get a flash tattoo that day, but the shop doing the event turned us away. Since we were already in the area, we decided to walk into Chronic Ink to book appointments with Clarissa for her flash pieces. She actually ended up being able to take us right then and there! I recently had a rose with a stem done by Erika at Chronic Ink (Ubi_tattoo on Instagram). She was incredibly patient, kind, and meticulous with her work. To say that I was blown away is an understatement. She does fine line work, and her capability to tattoo detail is unprecedented from artists I've seen. She takes her time and doesn't rush, which I've experienced in the past. At chronic ink you don't feel like another client trying to be rushed in and out. I visited Chronic Ink a few weeks ago for my 3rd tattoo. I was a little nervous of how the process would be during COVID19, but everything was handled professionally and seamlessly by Chronic Ink. They are taking every possible precaution (social distancing, sanitizing, having everyone wear masks). My appointment was with Clarissa, and I have to say she was amazing! She was on time (I believe I was even early), and made me feel at ease right away. I especially appreciate the extra time she spent to ensure the tattoo positioning was perfect. The tattoo itself was fast, painless (which I was surprised for having something on my ribs!), and came out even better than I could have imagined. Heard many great things about Chronic Ink from family and friends that got their work done so I booked a consultation with an artist. I waited 40 minutes and he never showed up. Staff couldn't contact him and said he will be away for the entire next month. Not sure what happened there but very disappointed as I moved my work schedule to make it to this consultation. Will see how it goes and hope to get an answer soon.

I was honestly really scared and low-key freaking out internally, but Louise made me feel much better by comparing certain pains together, so I can mentally prepare myself.
