I had the owner of the shop start working on my sleeve years ago. I originally just wanted to start part of my sleeve but the owner recommended she design the whole thing since it would flow better and I agreed since she is the ‘professional’. Fast forward to 10 months of waiting for my first session, when I came in to start it she had only designed a piece for my upper forearm.. I was quite shocked and disappointed since we both agreed she would be designing my whole sleeve.. I asked what would be put on my hand/inner forearm/upper arm and she responded with “What do you think we should put!?” This is something that she should have done prior to me coming in for my session, she even took a stencil of my entire arm to know the exact size everything should be. She then proceeded to find stencils off google to fill in what would be on my hand and inner forearm... (we didn’t even get to the upper arm, thankfully). This was the one of many issues I’ve had with her lack of professionalism, every single time I would come in for an appointment I waited over an hour for her and would not hear anything from her until she would randomly decide to come out and bring me in. Appointments would be cancelled by her and it was almost impossible to reschedule. Probably the worst of it all was the amount of fall out I had from her work. Over 60% of the tattoo fell out while it was healing it looked like random splotches and dots all over my arm. The whole thing cost me roughly 1,900$ (including tips) and I completely regret having wasted that money being tattooed by her even though the actual artwork she does is amazing. I’ve since had to get every single thing she did redone which has been quite expensive. Also wanted to mention how she added colour when I specifically said I did not want any colour and proceeded to justify it by saying ‘it’s how you make the colour grey’. Till this day I still have an 100$ deposit and have NEVER been contacted back or followed up by anyone at the shop. I hope this artist has since improved her work ethic and skills so another client never has to go through what I did.

I'm odd as hell and that's why Leanne Thief is my favorite artist - she gets me! This girl has done 2 of my 4 tattoos and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She's my ink guru. She somehow (is it sorcery? how the hell does she do this?) comes up with an image of exactly what I want. A master of her craft, this girl is so skilled, you barely feel the damn needle! Not only that, she's a lovely person who chats about interesting things while working on you, so all in all it's a fabulous experience. Am I going back to Leanne Thief until I have as many tattoos as I feel comfortable with? HELL YES! Get ready to do that Harry Potter sleeve we talked about, Leanne!

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for awhile getting my entire front torso done by Christina! She’s fantastic, she’s super sweet and she’s one of the most talented tattoo artists I know. As a tattoo artist myself I understand that big projects aren’t done over night and understand you have to be patient as a client, it takes multiple sessions. I go monthly to have short sessions done since I die and can’t last longer than 3 hours haha (so painful) but she’s extremely patient and understanding with me. I let her take total creative freedom with this piece and I’m in love with the outcome. The work I have done by her so far is so fantastic, has healed so bright and amazing! Worth every penny!!

Never again will you feel intimidated to head to a tattoo shop! These ladies are all so welcoming and sweet - the shop has such a comfortable, inviting vibe. Besides the fact that they are all ridiculously talented, they are just so committed to making their clients happy that you will leave feeling amazing. I've been to numerous shops and Black Rabbit has definitely made an incredible imprint on me - literally and figuratively.

DO NOT GO TO THIS TATTOO SHOP. The artists are unreliable (Christina - the owner - even told me that Leanne had taken deposits from several other clients and then never given them artwork or a tattoo), they don't listen to you or what you want, and the service is unbelievable -- they don't return messages, they don't communicate with their clients as to Why things aren't getting done (they just avoid you), they straight up lie to you, and it takes MONTHS to get One tattoo drawn up.. and then it's not even what you asked for. I was told Christina was on medical leave so we'd have to reschedule, and then I Watched her walk into the shop half an hour after the time that my appointment was supposed to be at

These trash bags that post 1 or 2 star reviews about this shop are laughable ????. Guaranteed they are dodgy customers with the artistic tastes of a mentally challenged bowl of cold noodles.

Look no further, you've found your tattoo shop. The staff here are all super friendly and helpful. The shop was clean and inviting. I walked in just to look at their portfolios and ended up having an on-the-spot consult with Leanne. She took my basic tattoo idea and totally ran with it. She was very easy to talk to and listened carefully ot everything I said that I wanted in my tattoo. This was my 5th peice and have never had such a good connection with an artist! She let me see the artwork 5 days before my appointment, which I really appreciated as I am sort of a control freak. On the day of the tattoo she greeted me with big smiles and made me feel so at ease. During the tattoo she chatted and answered my many questions. The tattoo itself is AMAZING. I could not imagine a more perfect tattoo design for the ideas I gave her at our consult. I will recomend her to anyone who is talking or thinking about getting a tattoo. Hands down. I was refereed by a friend to go there for my tattoo over a year ago. I popped in to be greeted by a young woman, I think the front desk who proceeded to tell me my tattoo wasn't of interest to them because it was only a line of text. I said I would pay the hourly rate, she still insisted was not interesting enough to want to proceed. I was taken quite aback. My daughters last summer decided to go there for two tattoos, they booked. When they showed up they were told that the tattoo artist wasn't in. They asked why there were not called and told as the one daughter was from out of town. No decent response. Nah don't waist your time here. Edit - This was over a year ago (missed) so there was no notice posted on the door. While I appreciate the reply - there isn't excuses for arrogance, and superiority of the person I spoke to. I did get the tattoo and to her saying she'd never tattoo words in any colour other than black, my red words are awesome and remain so a year later.

I was in the studio July 3rd to get a touch up on my half sleeve. Pre-Covid I would say that Black Rabbit is one of the cleanest and most professional studios in the lower main land. Post-Covid I was beyond impressed with the detail and attention Black Rabbit has put into making your tattooing experience as safe as possible in this crazy world. I work in the Health and Wellness industry and I would say currently Black Rabbit is setting the standard for other to follow. Well done!!

I have been to many tattoo shops. I came to Black Rabbit years ago to fix up a crappy tattoo I got when I was 18. Christina did such a good job, not only with her amazing work, but with making me feel very comfortable, that I refuse to go anywhere else. I am not a friend. I am a real customer and I think Black Rabbit is fantastic. Christina's work has gotten so much better over the years, and she was very good when I started going there. She works extremely fast and can get quality work done quickly. I would pay no attention to the negative reviews you see on here as all you have to do is be a reasonable person and you will find Black Rabbit a wonderful shop with great artistry. There are a lot of shops with major attitude. Like they are doing you a favour instead of a business transaction. There is no pretentiousness at Black Rabbit. Go in and you'll see that for yourself.

Got a tattoo done here almost a year ago now. I love my piece but unfortunately the situation that happened is why I have not recommended this place to friends… Booked in with an artist about a month and a half in advanced for a smaller piece, everything was great, he was happy to do it and we scheduled a day and time. Tattoo day comes around and the artist was 20 minutes late, didn’t say a word to me when he came in and got right to setting up his area (I brushed it off thought oh well he’s running behind he needs to start his prep), another 20 minutes of radio silence goes by before I was approached by the owner of the shop who was asking if I was waiting for another customer in the shop. When I explained I had an appointment scheduled for 40 minutes prior with the other artist she was very confused and called my artist over. We spoke for about 5 minutes, I pulled up our emails to remind him and prove we in fact did have a booked day and time and he apologized and said he must have forgot to book me in. Unfortunately the artist I originally booked with was now unable to do my piece because he had booked a bigger sleeve piece over my time… I can’t help but feel as though my artist shrugged off my smaller piece and banked on me not showing up for more money in his pocket for this bigger piece (he hadn’t even drawn up anything for mine). The owner of the shop was kind enough to take me in as she had some time before her first appointment and was able to draw up and do my tattoo for me. In the end I’m in love with my piece but the whole entire situation has put me off this place. This was my first professional tattoo experience and it was really disappointing. I guess just make sure you confirm your appointment multiple times!

For all the advertising I see from their shop you would think it’s easy to get in contact with the artists or any staff. But I gave up. I didn’t get one reply on any of my emails I sent. And no answer to any calls I tried to make for a potential tattoo consultation. Maybe they just are busy but it’s the first time any tattoo shop completely disregarded any of my attempts to try and get in touch.

I recently got my full arm tattooed here at Black Rabbit Tattoo by Mark. He was so easy to talk to and made me feel super comfortable. He knew exactly what I wanted, and brought my vision to life. His work, creativity, and skills are absolutely impeccable. I had been wanting to get a full sleeve of Medusa tattooed on me since I was in highschool, so this literally was my dream come true. And seeing it all come together was so much more beautiful than I had ever imagined it to be. While getting tattooed here, I also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with another artist, Christina. She is so lovely and sweet, and has amazing work as well. I highly recommend getting a tattoo from Mark, or anyone at this studio. All of their work is beautiful, and they are all very friendly and charismatic people. Cheers guys! Nirmal

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. I have been getting tattooed here for about 7+ years and have had work done by both Birdy and Christina. They are so wonderful about making sure I am as comfortable as I can be while in a ton of pain. ????(tattoos hurt, guys.. ok, maybe I am a baby) I have had both feet done, chestrocker and now working on a full leg sleeve! So it's safe to say I have spent a good number of hours there. And even though I clearly don't love the feeling of getting tattooed, I look forward to going in since they make me feel welcome and have been so great about planning out my tattoos and art direction! Post-Covid things are different, but I think an excellent different I feel like they are taking my safety seriously and personally appreciate it!!!

Came here for a simple lobe repiercing. People there were friendly and could tell they were not big on sales rather they are there to just make people happy and give them what they want. Very professional and friendly place. The piercer even tried to help me save money by simply breaking the skin barrier, but it was too thick. She was still great and it was my first time getting it done by needle. I typically go to Salons and my ears kept getting infected plus they would always try to sell me on jewelry and anti-septic solutions. The piercer seemed genuine and suggested to simply make my own or purchase saline solution from shoppers. I will definitely come back to get two more lobe piercings.

I loved the idea of a women owned and operated tattoo shop, so I thought I'd give it a try. My friend and I were getting very simple small tattoos, and we've both been tattooed a few times before by different artists. Anyways, Leanne was a little late for our appointment, and seemed kind of hungover, but maybe she was just having an off day. The studio was clean and overall nice, and Christine came in to talk to us while we were getting tattooed which was also nice. However, when we were done getting tattooed, Leanne didn't even bandage us up. When the we were all healed, that's when we really noticed the poor quality of our tattoos. The lines are uneven, as if she didn't know the right amount of pressure to use, and she went outside of her own lines. My friend and professional tattooist of 20+ years saw it and said it looked as if she had smashed her tattoo gun on a table before tattooing us, and I couldn't agree more. My friend and I don't even trust her to touch it up for us, so we'll be paying for another artist elsewhere. I can't speak for the other artists and I really tried to like this place, but when you give someone such a poor tattoo and fail to even apply a bandage to it afterwards... I will definitely urge my friends to find a different artist.
