My artist was Fabien. The good v. The bad The good: the tattoo is beautiful. It’s clean, it fits my arm perfectly, it’s applied well, and it covers my old tattoo perfectly. The bad: The tattoo did not come out looking like the design, the design is soft and delicate, the tattoo is a lot darker, don’t get me wrong, it’s still nice, just a lot darker than I thought it would be. Also, I think if he charged you based on the piece instead of by the hour, his work would be done a lot quicker, and he wouldn’t take as many breaks as he does. I also think if he charged by the piece and not by the hour, he wouldn’t misjudge his time. He’s been tattooing for more than 25 years, I think he should know roughly how long it will take, and book you in for that accordingly instead of clients having to wait 5 months to have the piece completed. I paid for 8 hours, and got about 5 and a half hours worth of work done, or he should only charge you for the actual tattoo time, not the time you spend standing, I shouldn’t be charged for the time the needle isn’t on my skin. My first sitting, I was booked from 3-6, the needle didn’t touch my skin until 4:30, he was done at 5:50, and I paid for the full 3 hours. The second session was basically the same thing, I got 2 hours of work done & paid for 3 hours, so I had to book a third session. We got the tattoo done in the third session, 2 hours and it was done- thankfully. However, when I came in for my third session, he did not remember me, and when I showed him the tattoo, he said “oh, I thought we were finished this”, in my eyes that is poor customer service, you should remember your clients, and if you don’t, you should at least look at the design before the client gets there to refresh your memory. I feel like his clients are more of a number to him then a valued paying customer. I would not recommend Malefic.

Here's my honest review The Good: Xavier is the man. It's great to be tattoo'd by someone who enjoys what they do and takes pride in their art. Definitely getting all my future ink here. The music choice is A+ [not talking about Fabien's list] The Bad: There are no tacos anywhere in sight. Also the dog's too quiet, always seems like he's plotting something.

The first thing I noticed about Malefic is how clean and organized the shop is, very nice studio. My artist was Keira and she was an absolute pleasure to work with, she executed the placement and the tattoo itself perfectly and i could not be happier with the outcome. Will definitely be coming back and would 100% recommend Malefic Tattoos.

Fabien's tattoos are terrific, if it wasn't for the terrible customer service. I went in for a consultation for a back piece and was asked to come back in a couple of weeks to map out the design. I arrived and he didn't even remember to make the sketch! That should have been my red flag right there, but I forgave it and returned again when the design was ready. Unlike other artists who start the clock when their tattoo machine hits your skin, in my experience with Fabien, part of the time you pay for is put into set up and fitting the tattoo, as well as him f***ing around, answering phone calls, choosing a music playlist, fixing his vaporizer... He's and nice guy but he just don't care enough to give his customers what they came there for in the first place. I would NOT recommend Malefic tattoos to anyone!

He has such an artistic perspective and offered great suggestions in both the design and the placement of my tat. There is simply no other place I will go to. I went here yesterday to get my septum jewelry changed after "pain and pleasure" screwed it up for me. Brandy was extremely helpful. He cleaned it repeatedly and gave me proper information. Talent is not the question; 500$ for every 3 hours work, and you only get like an hr and a half each visit. after 3 visits of my Daughters tattoo, I said enough...this could go on forever, I'm not here to pay off the bills...so my daughters tattoo remains unfinished, but i refuse to spend another 500 to 1000 . I also had to pay a fee in the beginning to have a consultation. Sure Fabian is nice, and Talented, like I said in the beginning, Talent, was never the issue, He just saw me coming a mile away.

My friend and I came in for a walk-in on a Friday, we called the day before to be sure there would be time for us to be fitted in and the woman on the phone was more than accommodating. The artist we had was Xavier, he did two 3/4 inch letters for us which took no more than 15 minutes each. It was my first tattoo and he was very good with explaining the process and made the entire experience way more pleasant than we thought it would be. I would highly recommend him and both my friend and I agree that if we get more tattoos we’ll book an appointment with Xavier 100%. His lines were very crisp and he’s very professional, he mentioned he usually does larger pieces but still did a great job on our small ones. The shop itself was clean and they had a friendly little dog roaming around if you’re into dogs like we are. Pricing is standard to the market and all the staff were helpful and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend.

Hands down the best tattoo studio I’ve been to and I’ve been to a lot. I’ve been going here for a while now and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Super clean, professional, and inviting atmosphere. Xavier has done all of my work and I can honestly say the man is a god. He will not put anything on you that he would not have on himself. The conversation is always great and it’s always a good time going to see Xavier. His work is amazing and he has the patience of a saint. He is extremely professional and is willing to take the time to hear what you have to say about what you want. I wouldn’t go anywhere or to anyone else other than malefic and Xavier to have my art done. Highly highly recommend this shop. I have been going to this shop for years. Always clean, great atmosphere, easy to access location. Most of my work has been done by Fabien, who is an extremely talented guy. He puts a lot of effort into perfecting every piece and I trust him with all my major work. He has done some custom pieces for me which have turned out amazing. I also recently started getting some smaller pieces done by Keira, who is another fantastic Malefic artist. Her work is very detailed and she's always prepared, punctual and pleasant. Received an appointment approximately a month ago for today at 9am. I’ve showed up to check out the custom artwork/design that I requested. Waited for an hr, no show of anyone from the business. ????????‍♂️... A few ways to pay/prepay is in person or e-transfer. I chose to pay in person, which the appointment I’ve received. And about the fraudulent scenario, I’m able to assume about that way to any individual and or business. Good job bringing that up, does more harm than good for you in this case which I’m not trying to expose. And for the artwork that was started if not finished. You’d think they want the customer to prepay or pay for their work, which she asked several times to e-transfer. I’m still available to come by at a compromising time tomorrow etc...but I’ve received a text not too long ago saying “But I am no longer interested in working with you on this piece”. What happened to the business to reaching out and providing the service to save a sale? July 26/20 You don’t need to tattoo me, anyone could cancel their contract/appointment at anytime. But no one said anything about canceling. The reason I showed up for the appointment is because of you “Keira Renee” gave me a time slot. Which I’m gladly to pay for the artwork/design that you started over a month ago, possibly finished within that day or week. That means your number 3 of the response of today like over 2.5 hrs ago has been debunked. 1. Due to covid hrs, you did informed me that there’s no payments in person. I then asked to lmk when the business resumes so I could show up to pay regardless if I needed an appointment or not. 2. Instead of reaching you I’ve left the shop? I was there that day only because I had an appointment, to check out the design/artwork which I’m able to pay on the spot, the day after including today... If I have any further questions the appointment which I agreed to is the best time. After one hr of waiting of the appointment which started at 9am, I’ve arrived a bit earlier and left shortly after 10am because no one showed up. That minimal amount of time loss can’t be brought back, your artwork could be paid at any day in person or kept in your sample collections which many shops have. Regardless if I accused you of fraudulent or not, I assume a lot of any ideas to anyone or anything. I’m more skeptical after reading one of the reviews by Richard Gibson approximately 8 months ago. Without being pity and holding grudges etc... I still took a chance to do business at this location for the quality of work. I’m assuming again... the gentleman came back for some touch up, so he didn’t received any cash reimbursement. “The negative review” could be easily edited, backed up with a positive review if the customer service and or business policies is up to par which this shop could use some improvements by just researching and humbling stay quiet. Feel free to response later today or whenever after. I’m still available the next couple of days at a compromising time to show up and pay $50 for the artwork/design.

I got my first tattoo here 8 years ago and it's held up so well. It's obviously faded a bit but I wear my hair up all the time and get a lot of sun exposure. There was no bleeding with the lines and the skin healed wonderfully after. They people were awesome and gave me exactly what I wanted. My best friend also got his done and they did a great job. It's a very clean facility and they do good work. I've also had a few piercings done here (which I don't believe they do anymore) but they healed great and weren't painful.

Just had my second session finished at Malefic with Xaiver ! There are not enough words to describe what a great experience it has been from start to finish ! Xavier is a massively talented artist with great vision and great personality . He made me feel super comfortable and super confident In the work he was doing on me . The whole team is great and supportive . They all really enjoy what they do and it shows . Just having great conversations and them taking interest in you as a person not just business is reason enough to go there . Add the talent and you have the only 10 star shop to get Art that is on your skin permanently . If you are looking for a tattoo shop to get your first or 100th tattoo this is the place to go .
