Yesterday (December 8) I got tattooed by Isis (@isismuniztattoo on Instagram) and oh - my - god, she absolutely crushed it. Her style is absolutely fantastic, and she worked with me through several revisions on the original concept and is literally just the nicest person. I’m always thankful to work with a tattoo artist that is obviously excited about their work, and also who is more friendly than strictly transactional (which I feel like a lot of artists tend to be). If you’re looking for an artist that has a super unique style, is extremely nice, wildly talented, and is more than willing to work with you to achieve what your vision is - I would 100% recommend Isis!!!

Very chill, and very hygenic spot. Went in with an idea, was recommended to an artist by the staff. I was able to check out his work on instagram and make an appointment. The tattoo turned out great, and was well priced. I have a 2 hour follow up appointment for free because we came up with more stuff to add that needs to be designed. Also the cover up is going to take some white ink.

Hands down the best atmosphere from any store. Staff are very well trained and are experts at what they do. It doesn't feel like you're going to an appointment but instead, you're going to a place to socialize and just hang out. Process was so easy and all of their information was accessible online so I knew everything that I was dealing with ahead of time. Wonderful service and overall such a pleasant experience. What an incredible experience with Hayden. After speaking with Hayden on Instagram for a while, we finally booked a date via Deposit on an incredibly dope realism piece. He was incredibly patient with me on instagram with quoting and sharing ideas. The shop on the outside didn't look too good but as soon as you enter, it is an incredible vibe. From the decor, to the water and snacks in the lobby, to the incredible service. It was top notch. Then, when you enter the studio, it's a whole other world! Bright and beautiful and clean with mirrors so you can see the work! Hayden did an incredible job and I am extremely happy with the piece. It was an 8 hour project and he was extremely patient with me on placement. I've had 20 tattoos and this was by far the most painful but still an incredible expreience. Will be coming back. As soon as i left, I received an email about a 20$ gift card to use for my next ink!

Ink & Water has a reputation for being the best of the best, and truly lives up to it. I found my artist, Ola, on Instagram and waited what seemed like forever for her books to open (it was only a couple of months, but when you know you know). I jumped at the chance to have such a talented artist for my first piece. The shop itself was a little challenging to find. Since the signage hasn't been updated, I wondered if I was at the right place.... Walking in though, you know. Whoever was the concept designer for the shop - major kudos to you. You walk in to what looks like a street market at night, it's dark and has that old school grunge feel. Even the front of the shop is meticulously maintained, just spotless. Huge plus that the water comes in tetra packs. Such a small change to help save our environment! Walking to the back of the shop, you'll notice how drastic the change is from the front of the shop to the back. I was tattooed mid day, and walking back was like walking into a neon cathedral. White walls, concrete floors and massive sloping white lights on the ceiling, it was truly gorgeous. Definitely calming. Front desk was kind and patient while I took ages to sign in (nerves), as well as when I was asking questions about a design for my husband afterwards. I would recommend this shop to everyone.

A very welcoming, warm place! Walked in and was instantly greeted, offered some snacks and drinks. Everyone was very nice and obviously proud of their work and everyone else's. The studio is bright and airy, just a very comfortable place Judy did a touch up for me, and she's very nice, and looks a lot more comfortable here. Her work is amazing, so I definitely recommend getting a tattoo by her. They also played great music! A whole mix of jams. And I mean, they played Africa, so an instant 5 stars in my books!!!

She designed this tattoo from couple of concepts I gave her prior and let me tell ya it is the MOST BEAUTIFUL piece I have on my body. What a talented woman I still can’t get over it!!! She was very kind, accommodating and professional. Made all changes I requested quickly and adjusted the design up until it was time to put it on me. Tattoo was done beautifully and Isis was so sweet and careful the whole time. She made me feel very well taken care of. Everyone at the store was very friendly as well. Clean and professional environment as well. I went after working nights and she made sure I was comfortable at all times. I am still In awe couple of days later and can’t stop showing off ☺️???????? Horrible customer service. Asked about artists who would be good with a certain design and the receptionist couldn't articulate a sentence to tell me, sounded confused, i kept having to repeat myself. When i came up, music was blaring and it took a mimute for him to realize he couldn't talk to me and play music at the same time lol. I left the shop with no answer, because of the uncomfortable awkwardness.

The place is nicely decorated, and my friend and I were warmly greeted by the staff there and were offered drinks and snacks. Got my first tattoo (a rib piece) done here by JD about a month ago. Almost done healing and its perfect! He made the experience 10/10. Everything was super professional, we started right on time. He let me know when he was starting the tattooing process, and did a few strokes first to let me gauge the feel of the needle. And my friend was able to keep me company the entire time too!

I recently got a new tattoo with JD and he did such an amazing job. I’m so happy with it! From the moment that I came in for a consultation, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. And once I came in for my session, JD worked so hard by making sure that the final drawing was to my liking and that the stencil was aligned properly. They also offered complimentary refreshments! I’m very happy with my experience and I will for sure be coming back for my future tattoos.

This location is probably their best location yet! The design of the space is so cool! They have a garage door at the back of the room. If you enter the building from the back door, you won't have anyone there to help you, but if you walk through the front door, it feels like you have walked into another dimension. You have to go through the front door to get assistance with your appointment. It doesn't feel like you have walked into ink & water, but you're in the right place. I arrived 2 hours early to an appointment and they were able to fit me in earlier than I was expecting. Definitely my favourite tattoo shop I have been to. Their tools and materials are premium as well. I have never had a tattoo heal as good as the tattoos I've gotten from here.

Francis & his assistant Carolina have done 2 of my tattoos now and each time I go in, they're both very kind and professional. I'm excited to come back for more ink!

Amazing experience with Isis for a script piece on my shoulder. Consultation and tattoo was all in one session, Isis knew shortly after sitting down with me the kind of font style I was looking for and we both went through designing the tattoo on her iPad until it matched my vision. She was very enjoyable to work with and we had great conversation despite it being the first time meeting. Along with a other artist, they made sure my tattoo was straight and that it was exactly what I wanted before she began tattooing. The appointment took about 2 hours total with about 30 minutes of being tattooed. Would definitely visit Ink and Water again!

I shot her a DM on her insta the night before to ask if she was able to do a small custom piece to match my sister and she quickly agreed to see me the following day. I went here for the first time, customer service was great and refreshments were provided. The place was pretty cool, it was modern and fun. The tattoo artists are very kind and make sure you approve of the work and like to get feedback from other artists. Pricing varies from artist to artist, but is pretty reasonable.

Okay hear me out. This place has great artists no doubt and the atmosphere is welcoming and clean. The one thing that completely ruined my experience was the fact that I didn't have any control over my own tattoo. So I dm'd the artist back in September. I explained what I wanted and where I wanted my tattoo. The artist asked for reference pics, size and location and thats pretty much it. I assumed I would show up on the day of my tattoo and we would work out the logistics of where its going, what we can change yada..yada..yada like most tattoo shops do because its ON YOUR BODY FOREVER. But when I got to the shop, the artist already drew the design and was like "I cant change anything because I drew it". I didnt like that at all. I hated one part of the tattoo and was basically forced to tattoo it onto myself. Because I wasnt gonna walk out after travelling and hour and paying a deposit. Pathetic. I have a sleeve and have always had the option to shape the design to my liking. The tattoo isnt bad, its beautiful, but this is not acceptable. If it takes more appointments to discuss design, I would rather that. The tattoo artist didnt even tell me that they needed more info to come up with the stencil anyway. So basically, im never coming back here. Thanks. Go to Heartstrong tattoo, theyre way better.

The first time I went to Ink and Water on Yonge Street was to get a script tattoo by Gabriela, a visiting tattoo artist from Brazil. I loved it! Hoping to see her again in August. The second time I visited the shop I was getting a custom tattoo by resident artist Alex D. I really loved the outcome of the tattoo. Alex is an amazing artist and person. I have a lot of tattoos from different places and artists and I have to say Alex's technique is amazing, didn't hurt at all! Highly recommend him. I gave the shop 4 stars because there is no where to put your things, the benches wobble and are uncomfortable and the flourescent lighting (which is everywhere) hurts my soul. Other than that, the staff was super friendly and they offer free refreshments.

Front desk is wonderful, they’ll answer any questions you have and can help direct you to artists if you don’t have one already. Leading up to the tattoo a reminder is sent out to confirm and you’re set up until tattoo day. Looking forward to being tattooed here again

Yesterday I had one of the most incredible experiences in a tattoo place I have ever had. First of all let me start with the physical space; it’s modern, clean, bright, large enough to social distance properly and designed beautifully. The equipment is modern, the bathrooms are clean, and free beverages are provided to customers. LOVED IT. The best part were the people though, everyone was so awesome and fun, and the atmosphere is electric. Kelly who did my first session for a quarter sleeve is a gifted artist and is meticulous with her work. I will post a picture once both sessions are done. I am excited to come back to finish!

I used to live very close to this shop, and just wanted a tiny script tattoo. They take walk ins, however I made a appointment just in case, but they were able to get me in within a few days. The shop is very aesthetically pleasing. There was a very strong smell inside, however the shop was very clean, so it was probably their disinfectant smell. The staff were friendly and seemed very happy. My tattoo was a very tiny one, however it turned out exactly what I wanted (:

CLARIFICATION: I have no problem with the shop at all. It's a great shop, they're very welcoming and nice and they have tons of experienced and lovely artists that do great work. I have even scheduled to have another tattoo done here WITH A DIFFERENT ARTIST. My problem is with the one particular tattoo I got done by Sara Pea (Salad). The tattoo turned out great after I got it. However I was given very vague aftercare instructions (she knew this was my first tattoo) but Sara told me if I had any questions I should email her and she'd get back to me. I ended up getting more detailed instructions from another artist at the shop who was very helpful (these instructions still followed what Sara had said they were just more detailed). A couple days after I got the tattoo I noticed these little red bumps forming around the tattoo. I wasn't too concerned because it wasn't on the actual tattoo. A few days later they got bigger and more appeared so I emailed Sara twice with a description and pictures (like she said)... It's now been about a month and I have not recieved a reply. I spoke to another artist at the shop while scheduling another tattoo (definitely not with Sara) and she was very helpful and understanding and put my mind at ease. It has been over a month since I got to tattoo. No word from Sara. I followed all aftercare instructons and this is what my tattoo currently looks like. I'm not even mad so much that this is happening, I'm mad that Sara could not be bothered to respond to my attempt at communications

Bunch of pretentious bullies! Had an appointment booked for myself and 2 other friends for matching sentimental tattoos. Upon walking in, we were ignored by every single person/ artist in there! We waited and waited and finally asked the gentleman what we should do and where the consent forms were. He went ahead and told us, we dont have times for walk ins, call the shop and set the appointment. We then proceeded to tell him we had an appointment booked for today and that we were 5 mins early. He then literally looked at us, sighed and then walked towards the back ignoring us! Our experience was so unacceptable we as a group decide we cannot support a brand like this so we left! Stay away from this location! Go to their downtown one or just simply find somewhere else!
