I got work done from Nadia relatively last minute as there was an opening in her schedule. I felt so welcomed at the shop, I felt physically safe (never been in a tat shop where I felt this way the whole time), it was pristine clean AND I felt like my artist genuinely cared about what I wanted and making it look perfect for me. The process was so smooth and fun. I wouldn't get a tattoo from anywhere else now! I also appreciated that it was clear Nadia and the shop cared about clients as much as they do their personal morals - they will have a respectful conversation with you to ensure clarity and informed consent on both ends. Literally all I could ask for in a shop.

Amazing studio. Couldn't ask for a more comforting staff. They were amazing right from the moment we walked in the door. Very relaxed setting and might I say they play the best music. Their playlist while I was there, was killer. Now about my artist, Purtalic! She was unbelievable. Her personality, her friendliness and her calming effect were unbelievable. Her design, her execution and her ability to to nail the tiny details down are unreal. I will also say o saw other artists working there and the work from all was incredible. I will definitely be going back and in fact already have my next date scheduled. Cant wait to see Purtalic again, soon! Not your average tattoo shop, these girls are amazing. I have been to about 4 or 5 different shops including this one, and it is by far my favorite. First, the girls that work there collectivley are awesome. They are so easy to talk to, you don't feel rushed or pressured to do something their way, they make the whole expereience very enjoyable. Being only tattoo'd by males in the past (not complaining), it can sometims feel intimidating going into a shop- I felt very welcome. The envrionment was relaxed, there wasn't loud music playing, and you could see that the artists respected each other, for an all female shop this kind of surprised me. Secondly, Lahncey (Purtalic) did a phenomenal job on completing my 3/4 sleeve. I had 2 other artists add work to it, and was very nervous it wouldn't match. She did a great job of not only incorporating my previous peices into her work, but also including me in the creative process as well. If you are looking for someone who has an eye for detail, if you want wicked mandalas, or someone who has a passion for perfection go see her! I highly reccommend both her and the shop overall, and will be back :)

I’ve been tattooed by Danielle Ouellette a couple times and I gotta say she’s probably the best person to ever touch my skin with a needle. I’m pretty covered and most of mine are blown out, scarred or just kinda crappy and these are from people who have worked in the industry. Danielle has not given me one raised line, not one blow out. She’s amazing. She knows how to pack the ink without blowing it but at the same time does not hurt you. (and she did my shins!) If you need some spooky or dot work done , definitely check out her stuff.

I got this tattoo done with Kelsey Nicoloff on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019. She was absolutely lovely and had no problem making changes to the design to make it exactly what I wanted. She made sure the whole time that I was comfortable (as comfortable as you can be I mean) and was awesome to chat with. From my understanding she hasn’t been tattooing for a super long time but you would NEVER be able to tell. She has amazing skill as an artist and tattooist! 100% recommend making an appointment with her. Her prices are also surprisingly very reasonable based on the quality of work you get!

My experience was awesome. Very kind people. The Artists were knowledgeable and gave appropriate guidance when my friend sought advice one styles/techniques that would fit his tattoo needs. Even with light colored (light blue, white, silver and yellow) ink and a few sun burns the tattoo he had done stands well today!

It was my first time at Ruby Tattoo Studios and wow, was I ever blown away. An all-female staff was super comforting and left me feeling relaxed and reassured of safety. Right when you walk through the door, you can smell how clean the place is. COVID precautions were also super in effect which also made me feel comfortable and safe. A very spa-like waiting area, super aesthetically pleasing! The variety of art styles done by these lovely ladies are truly amazing. My tattoo was done by Lahncey, aka @Purtalic on IG, and she was outstanding. Conversation was fun, she was friendly and gentle. Her linework is amazing and she has very gentle hands. Thank you again to everyone at Ruby for making my first tattoo since pre-COVID be one to set the bar so high for future tattoos.

We all remember the day Cary Fisher died. I was set to get her face tattood on me. She was a big inspiration to me growing up and I loved her. I didn't get the tattoo because she died, her death just landed on my appointment day. The artist was good, the tools and atmosphere clean, and the conversation interesting and fun. I need to get a touch up, so I wont share the finished product because I don't want to insult the artist skills because I scratch when I sleep. If they ever tour to Quebec I will use their services again in a heart beat. The owner has always been artistic and open, caring and warm. Her business reflects that. You wont be dissapointed.

Last summer Danii did a tattoo for me of my dog who passed away that spring. She ran with the idea I had of a pawprint with rainbow watercolour splatters and suggested I added his name since I wasn't able to get an actual stamp of his print before he passed. She made sure that his name was spelled correctly, that I liked the font and she made the whole process feel really special for me, even though it wasn't my first tattoo. To this day the watercolour detailing on the pawprint looks brand new, even after being in the sun this season. :) 100% will be going back to these ladies in the future!

The women at Ruby tattoo studio are not only talented and knowledgable but friendly and welcoming. It is comfortable and fun to be there. They are always willing to point you in the direction of the best artist for the artwork you want. The studio itself is clean, with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I've gotten tattoos from 4 of the women there now. Kelsey is so fun to sit and talk to while she tattoos you, especially about your or her pets. Her watercolor is my favorite but she is far from a one trick pony, she also has some awesome realism stuff for sale. I'm getting a full sleeve done from her soon. Lahncey is the shop mom. She takes care of you, makes sure you're comfortable, and works with you on whatever tattoo you want. I have some incredibly detailed mechanical insects on my arm from her and she is currently fixing up a previous tattoo (by another artist). Hayley started with a small screw from the Iron Giant on my arm and made it look exactly like the movie. Then we moved on to these incredible mermaid scales on my leg. She was so enthusiastic about the idea and was so fun to sit with and make this tattoo come to life for me. Alex their apprentice did a small watercolor beta fish for me and it is the cutest thing! She did an amazing job and is definitely an artist you should start following. The shop feels like a second family sometimes with how open they are. Danielle (or Dani with one I. There are two in the shop) fit me in when my grandma was dying to get a small tattoo in memory of her and all the ladies there just made me feel like I was in a safe space. I love this shop and cannot recommend it highly enough.

I had such a great experience at Ruby's! I found them after having a hard time trying to contact a different artist at her studio. I won't mention any names (cough cough *beamers*) So glad that I found Ruby's!! I got the delightful Christy (hope I'm spelling that right). I went in with an idea of a tattoo and left with something so much better and more meaningful after Christy spent over an hour sketching a tattoo that would be perfect for me. It had to be perfect she said because it was in memory of my mom. She nailed it. I have found my forever tattoo artist! The studio is clean and hygenic. The girls are all super nice and friendly. They were very helpful. Love love love!!! Highly recommend!
