Two of four tattoos done here, and both times I found the artist amazing, the shop and people helpful and professional, and the work done to be absolutely beautiful, however, though I have no complaints about the shop or artists, or anything about sin on skin, people coming in to the shop for the first time should know that they only accept cash payments not debt or credit, so bring cash with you to your appointment ????

Regrettably poor experience from start to finish with reception. Would love for this cash-only establishment to refund my gift card, as I would never want to have anyone tattoo me from here when the first impression was so sloppy. Otherwise, I have a $200 gift card I am looking to sell, and they don't expire! I am sure the artists are lovely if you can make it past reception. Edit: We got our refund everyone! A note to future potential clients that you deserve to go to a tattoo studio that isn't condescending and wants what is best for you, even if it means giving you a refund so you can find a different artist that meets your artistic needs. I personally have worked in retail stores where I have given refunds on gift cards, and know that it's okay to stand up for yourself!

My only go to place whenever visiting back home. Eldrick does my work, he can do fine detail, realistic, light as a feather, I could fall asleep. Cover ups, repairs. Nicole at the desk knows her stuff and will not steer you wrong and can place you with proper artist if you have never been. Clean, attention to detail, pride themselves in being the best and they most certainly are.

it was a clean place, and everyone was nice, but the tattoo I got was brutal and totally botched. I will not say the artist name because I don’t want to bash anyone but the tattoo I got is very uneven, the stencil was not followed, and they went over the lines and some letters are smaller than others and not symmetrical. I don’t understand how they messed it up as they have really good pieces, so I’m disappointed I got a bad one which I have to cover up now. Extremely disappointing and I’m angry I have to spend a lot on a coverup soon. Not to mention, they only take cash and the front desk was so sure all the atms were in service but none on the street were, and they was quite rude about it. I would suggest to do your research before coming here.

I didn't get tattooed at Sin on Skin but I had to leave a review to let everyone know how amazing, helpful and accommodating Nicole is. I walked in taking my chances for an opening (being from out of province) and Nicole did everything she could to try and work something out for me. It didn't end up working out but thereafter she went above what she needed to do to help me find another place. She answered all my questions without hesitation and gave me very honest and appreciated feedback. All of which she didn't have to. She also made me feel welcomed and comfortable. If I am ever back in Halifax I will be sure to go back there. Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

Got a very simple tattoo done and when I asked about touch ups. They wanted to charge a fee and go over the entire tattoo again vice fixing the areas that needed fixing.

I got a tattoo the beginning of June, and it is halfway through October and the tattoo still looks fresh and unhealed. I wanted a solid band around my wrist, and the line wasn’t straight whatsoever, it was faded, and the tattoo itself went past the solid line and looks awful. It is a half sleeve, and I am very, very disappointed. I was never offered to come back and get a free touch up, or a refund for the poor quality work. Overall this was a waste of $700, and a poor piece of art that is on my arm forever.

Had my first tattoo experience today with Michaella! Her work is incredible and will definitely take her far in the industry. I felt at ease as she tattooed my sternum, asking if I ever needed a break or even some water. The studio was clean, comfortable, professional. and the staff make sure you feel at home. I got a cover up By Damen Black and I will say he rocked it! The shop is spotless clean and well organized. One the parts that impressed me so much is that each artist had their own private room. I have not been to Many shops that were set up this way. Usually it’s just one area but this place seems to have gone the extra mile.

I have a total of 9 tattoos... one that I got from a friend at age 18, one that I let another friend butcher my arm because of his "so-called talent", and the 7 others have all been done by Eldrick at Sin on Skin. I LOVE my tattoos by Eldrick. I am proud when people ask the story about each of them and when I get to tell them who did them for me. Everyone at Sin on Skin is super talented and love their clients. I can't wait for #10 and to let Eldrick fix the butchered one that I never should have let anyone but him do. My most recent tattoo by Eldrick is a portrait of my dog.. I asked for it to look like a sketch and the photo realism is unreal. I am so lucky and everyone freaks out (in the best way) when they see it. Thank you to all of you there - can't wait to be back for more ink!

Just got my very first tattoo here and I can't recommend them enough! Nicole was super friendly and patient with this tattoo newbie, answering all my questions quickly! My tattoo was done by Kyle, who gave me exactly what I wanted. Despite the fact that I only got a small , simple tattoo, I was never treated as 'less than' a customer who was getting something big and complicated done. I will definitely be returning.

I’ve had 4 tattoos done here (so far) by Eldrick and I will never go anywhere else. Nicole is always so pleasant and welcoming, making you feel totally comfortable as soon as you show up. I came to Sin on Skin after checking out many tattoo shops. From the moment I walked in I felt at home . Nicole at the counter is very friendly and welcoming to all old and new clients. Gave them my idea and found Lacey to be my artist as she took my idea to a whole new level . Started with just a cover up and I now have almost a complete sleeve done great work fantastic color . They are very aware of keeping every thing sanitized and take every precaution possible keeping their work area clean never a doubt it's a safe place for a tattoo. They are very clear on how to take care of your new tattoo and an AD ointment for it.instructions included . If your thinking of getting your first or fith come try this place out the artist are all good . Me I stay with Lacey it's like she reads my mind for the type of tattoo I want . It's like going home every time I walk in

I would not consider getting my ink work done anywhere else. The depth of colours, the fine line work on the Celtic knot work by Eldrick is standing up to the tests of time. I waited until I was 32 years old to get my very first tattoo. I was nervous and unsure of what to expect. I had gone to a different tattoo parlour originally for a consult and just got such a negative vibe it made me hesitant to try another but from the moment I walked in to Sin on Skin I was treated wonderfully and felt completely at ease. The shop is clean and professional, Nicole was friendly and so incredibly helpful. I chose Eldrick as my artist and he was amazing. My tattoo took almost 3 hours, and we only had to stop once for me to get my bearings but he was patient and understanding. He is easy to talk to and does fantastic work. I couldn't be happier with the final result or with the overall experience that I had at Sin on Skin. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to get inked and if I decide to get another I wouldn't go anywhere else. The prices are reasonable as well - I was shocked that my tattoo cost so little when I had been quoted much more elsewhere. Thank you to all of you at Sin on Skin for making my first tattoo experience better than I could have imagined.

Got my first tattoo from this place. As a first timer, was obviously nervous and wasn't really happy when I walked in and saw Kirk had already altered the design I gave him. But this guy is a LEGEND at what he does!! I left super happy with my final piece (which was his version of my design) and can't wait to travel back to Canada and turn my tattoo into a half sleeve! Would 10/10 recommend Kirk to anyone looking for a good tattoo in Halifax, though I believe other artists are equally good. Also, Nicole, you were just as good at front desk darling! Eldrick definitely lives up to his reputation of a light hand! It’s been the first tattoo I’ve gotten in nearly ten years so I was nervous about remembering pain levels. He was great about giving me some breaks in between sections and walking me through all his steps. My experience was phenomenal from start to finish. I wanted to get my first tattoo in memory of my Mom who I lost to dementia in 2017. Sin on Skin was recommended to me from a few people so I decided to give it a go. I decided to email an idea of what I was looking for and was really looking for guidance. I heard back from Nicole the next day and instantly liked her. She was so pleasant and helpful that I knew I was in great hands. I went over for a consultation and that is when I met Eldrick...again, another gentle soul. Everything seemed right so I booked for later on that week(thank God for a cancellation). Nicole made me feel so at home from the moment I walked in the door. I felt like I knew her for years. She is so knowledgeable and so great at what she does. Eldrick has the hands of an angel. I will admit I was awfully nervous however he had a way of calming me down. From start to finish, we talked, joked and laughed and before I knew it, I was finished! Sin on Skin made my first time such a memorable experience. I will definitely be back and will definitely be spreading the word on how amazing the service and staff are and how amazing their work is!!

OK... newsflash noobies... there's no such thing as a $40 tattoo unless you're getting it from at junkie under the overpass in a studio bult from shopping carts... even a tiny tattoo should cost you at least $100 because even if it only takes 5 minutes the artist still has to clean and prepare all the equipment.... I have been getting tattooed by real artists for over twenty years now and will definitively give sin on skin my support as a real shop that will not screw you around. there is a saying among tattoo artists (real ones) and it goes like this: "good tattoos aren't cheap, and cheap tattoos aren't good" it will be on your body for life. who gives a sh(t whether you got "a good deal" you should care whether you got a good tattoo... sin on skin will deliver a good tattoo... you will remember the quality, but in ten years you will have no idea what you paid for it....

Was visiting Halifax and stopped in for a tattoo. Excellent customer service, as they were all very welcoming and helpful. Clean and professional environment, and were able to provide rough estimates on time and cost prior to the session. Most importantly, their artists are kickass, stand by their work and know what they're doing! Awesome session with a cool cat named Lacey - ridiculously talented artist!
