Very expensive for the job I got done. Only got 9 letters of basic font which took all of 25 mins, that included writing it out and setup and the actual tattoo....$100!!! Way to much for a small 5 minute tattoo.

I got my first tattoo (ever!) from Jan about three years ago. It was a pretty sizeable tattoo for a first timer, but Jan had no qualms about it. I had gone in a few weeks prior to give her some reference material, and when I arrived for my appointment, she had an absolutely STUNNING design waiting for me. We made a few tweaks but the stencil was on me maybe 20 minutes after I walked in the door. Of my now 6 tattoos Jan was the gentlest artist I've ever had, and with only 2 pee breaks it was complete in about 4 hours. Three years later my tattoo is as vibrant and clean as the day I got it. Just booked my second piece with Jan for the summer and I cannot wait :)

Several years ago now I reeceived a tattoo from Janette Rawding at Oceanic. The art itself is a very high-quality and has aged into an excellent tattoo. The shop was clean, and very well-maintained and the prices were affordable. It was quite hot that day, so some better temperature control might be in order. However, the biggest take away for me was how comfortable and engaged I was in the process. Janette was exceptionally friendly and made the entire experience very enjoyable despite that discomfort from being tattooed on the ribs.

I've had several tattoos done by Jan over the years and they are so beautiful. Dainty clean lines and so very feminine. It's me she is tattooing in her profile photo on the webpage :) The other artist's here are professional and exceptional talented as well. The shop itself is immaculate and chairs/tables are comfortable for long appointments. Really have nothing but great things so say about this place. Call for a consultation. Make an appointment, there will be a bit of a wait but I assure you it's worth it. Timeless art is worth it.

Oceanic Art lacks respect and understanding for clientele and their needs. They are not upfront or professional, and would rather take clients money versus decline a tattoo when they have no interest in providing good personable service. The owner Scott Forbes was very stressed for time and did not want to be in the shop. The service was poor; there was no interest or heart put into providing a welcoming space, only frustration on his end in relation to time, and time away from his kids that got transferred over to me and the time involved with my tattoos. He was very unprofessional not only for dishonoring the price quoted for the tattoos, but for his negative and disrespectful attitude after the payment was received. It was a surprisingly horrible experience. I would never recommend a shop that verbally puts down and seeks to denigrate their client. Forbes completely misses in the department of respect and care for the client, their time and their story.

We came in to get a consultation done by one of two of the main artists. When we got there they were rude in the way they told us to wait. One of them even said wasn't me they were talking to so I'm not doing it. And then the main guy passed us off to some random artist working there front desk. And I mean I'm sure that might be normal. But I had already informed him that we both had never gotten tattoo and we're told to come see either him or the girl (not saying names) what really bothered me was this other guy wasn't even on there website or FB. Both our tattoos were pretty basic why not put us with the apprentice I mean at least he was on the website. I've got to 3 places since and the experience has been pleasant everytime!
