I was visiting family in Truro and wanted to get a tattoo, looked through all the work and really liked the work Taryn did. So I contacted the studio and set a date. When I got here and it was close to my tattoo appointment I got a message from Taryn informing me she was sick, this disappointed me a little, but we were still able to arrange a day before I left. Really happy with the tattoo and the experience in the shop.

I had a great experience here ! I got a flash tattoo done with Jillian and she was absolutely amazing. It was was my first tattoo and I got the option between hand poke or the machine and they talked through everything with me making me feel safe and taken care of. The tattoo is fully healed now and I couldn’t be happier, highly recommended X

I just got finished my first session with Taryn and this tattoo is THE nicest and THE least painful tattoo I have. And I have 7 ???? Will be going back for the completion of my sleeve and beyond lol Professional and personable. Clean. And accomdating. Probably the best spot to get your first tattoo and even your 100th plus! I went to HFX Tattoo on my Birthday when I saw they posted on Facebook that thay had openings for walk-ins. I just wanted something fun and spontaneous and I picked a flash piece from Nate. Nate was awesome! He put up with me being a baby and had an amazing colour selection that went perfectly with that I had in mind! It turned out even better than I had imagined! Taryn (the owner) is so awesome. My appointment was for 1:30 but she took an hour of her own time re-drawing my tattoo design because I am so picky, and it ended up so much better than I could ever expect. The place is lovely and Taryn does such a unique design. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was so happy with my results so for this one I did ! ❤️

Absolutely not a artist at this location who I would ever allow to tattoo me even if they offered to pay me to practice on my skin. Of course tattoos are forever. I refuse to suffer humiliation by wearing poorly designed and even worse applied tattoos this is an experience I must avoid in this lifetime. Others are obviously so immature or insecure that the local peer-group pressure to belong has overwhelmed their better judgement, I looked at the portfolio and could see that no one in the building could apply a tattoo with any skill that I could honestly call quality art. Sorry for you people working at this business tattooing unsuspecting consumers. I am a collector of real art and in my opinion the work being done at this location in childish and appears to be desperate attempts to pay the rent and nothing more. I also did not appreciate the arrogance that I experienced when I was there.
