Honestly, I only have positive things to say. The staff is amazing! I went in for a tattoo recently and they were very considerate. Whether it's your first tattoo or you want to try different tattoo shop, this is the one! I got tattooed by Carlos and the drawing was amazing! He was very flexible, I wanted to add something last minute and he did it! The staff is super chill and the music is very good! Can't wait for my next appointment!

I’ve gotten two tattoos done here by Carlos the apprentice. And they have both healed very nicely, and the detail to line work is done very well. Even during the session he was very accommodating & the tattoo didn’t hurt while I was getting it done. I practically fell asleep each time. Very nice work & a nice space! Love this place! ✨✨✨

From the minute I walked into this place it was comfortable and safe. I was early for my appointment and the team was sanitizing the shop. They have excellent COVID protocols in place, staff were wonderful, kind, friendly and I felt included in the entire process from discussing the design all the way to the finished product was perfect. You would be crazy not to give this place five stars. The studio is super well put together and its the home of many great tattoo artists, including the owner David Cote. This entire place is the vision of him and his partner Saska, put together as a tattoo shop that reflects the creativity of the two. A studio isn't anything without good artists and people and this one has it all. David is the most down to earth human being I ever spoke with. As someone who had my first tattoo with David, I can tell he makes the entire process much easier than I thought it would be. I could go for hours talking about how amazing these people are, but this is a review of the studio. If you are looking for a seriously artistic tattoo, with some of the best artists in town, and don't want to feel intimidated by this whole "tattoo studio vibe" pay these guys a visit and you will not regret. Some artists accept walk ins, others don't. Check in advance before showing up though.

I went to Velours to get a tattoo from David Cote, and honestly it was amazing from start to finish. The shop itself is well designed, with a cool aesthetic and a nice, open feel to it. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Saska (one of the co-founders of the studio) who was friendly and welcoming. David (tattoo artist and other co-founder) was also really nice. It's pretty clear that they've put a lot of thought into the experience that they offer their clients, which I appreciated. I found David to be super easy to communicate with and the design he created is exactly what I hoped it would be! He nailed it on the very first sketch. When we were ready to start tattooing, the work station was clean, well lit and comfortable. As you can see from the picture, my tattoo turned out beautifully. The color is sooo vibrant and saturated. I'm living for that rainbow gradient!! If you're in the market for a tattoo, I would fully recommend checking out Velours. The work is so solid and the shop has such good vibes. 10/10 Oh! And they have a list of recommended places to check out in Montreal. A nice touch for an out-of-towner like me :)
