I recently got some new work done with Mike, at Skintricate. I was greeted with smiles walking in, they ensured proper Covid-19 protocols and I started with Mike almost immediately. Cool, comfortable atmosphere and I REALLY appreciated the loud, large screen tv streaming movies to distract from the not so pleasant part of being tattooed. The talent oozes out of this place, would recommend to anyone. 10/10.

I came here a couple weeks ago to get pierce and I initially only booked to get my lobes pierced but on impulse I decided to also get my helix pierced. When I got there I told Anna before we started and she was very accommodating. I ended up with all three piercings and I'm very happy with it. The process was quick and efficient. Anna sterilized my ears and marked where she planned to pierce. Then I was able to look in the mirror to check and make any adjustments I wanted. After that it was just needle and earring. Lastly she then explained aftercare and answered any question I had. The whole process took maybe 10 min. Overall, if you are from Mississauga looking to get a piercing I would definitely recommend Anna.

Great piercing specials on Sunday (bogo sales). Wish they had more jewellery options for first ear piercings.

I have three tattoos by Tamara, one by Hollywood and one by Mike. Every experience has been great. From booking and consultation to actually getting it done, every part of the experience was positive. Staff at the counter are always professional and knowledgable. The actual work that these artists do is phenomenal. I can't believe how many reviews on here are complaining about price....really? In my opinion, when you are looking for a tattoo thats on your body for the rest of your life, you look for SKILL of the artist and whether or not you like their art - not the price! You will ALWAYS get what you pay for. I can't recommend this place enough. Even the atmosphere is awesome. I can't wait to book another appointment!

The CBD shop down the street made this visit to Streetsville not a complete waste of time. I called the shop on a Saturday to make sure they were open on the Sunday of the long weekend. I said my son would like to get both his lobes pierced and get a basic metal stud. The lady said not a problem. Really? Then why did the shop have NO basic studs available? And when I was shown what they had for studs I was told all they normally have is a clear crystal stud. That's what they considered basic. She said "he'll be OK with it" like she somehow knew what my son wanted. She was handing out business cards that was honouring the 2 for 1 Sunday special they run which means that we weren't the only ones who left disappointed. We ended up getting what we wanted at another shop for the same cost as their "promo."

I discovered Skintricate through Google Maps by searching ear piercings. After browsing the reviews, I took a look at the website which was very informative and was able to book an appointment through their online scheduling system. Their Instagram page shows their beautiful tattoo work and the piercings, which is a great showcase of their work. Fast-forward to my appointment, we had an easy touch-screen check-in at the front door and were instantly seen on time for our ear piercing appointments. My piercer was very experienced and knowledgeable, walking me through the process, positioning and aftercare. Aftercare is available to be purchased in store for an additional fee -- its a spray bottle which makes things easier. Thank you for a good birthday weekend!

Went in to get one of my piercings changed, and customer service is something they can definitely work on. The hoop that the piercer put into my ear was a bit too large and when I simply asked if they had a smaller size, the woman who appeared to be training the male that was helping me replied quite rudely and she seemed like she just didn’t want to be there. Additionally, she mentioned that she would have to charge me for the jewelry if they tried to put it on and it didn’t fit— lol. When someone is purchasing jewelry from you and paying you to put it on for them, the least you can do is give them some information regarding the sizing of the hoops before you put it on and help them to find the right fit. Despite that woman’s attitude, the male piercer (trainee?) was friendly but I probably wouldn’t come back. Edit: When I asked if they could try to put the 10mm hoop on, the woman kept insisting that the 10mm wouldn't fit despite not having closely looked at my piercing. My 10mm hoop from Amazon just came, and it fits perfectly fine. The woman clearly didn't know what she was talking about or had her sizings confused.

Anna is an amazing person to get pierced with! In the last month I have pretty much been in there every weekend getting another piercing and never had any issues. This past weekend I got my Rook pierced and it gave her a hard time because my ear is thick in that area but she was very reassuring and kept checking to see if i was alright. :) Also, got a small tattoo with my sister there this weekend with Andrew he was a guest tattoo artist but honestly had our sides splitting from laughing so hard. The manager Savannah fit me in for a late apppointment to accomodate my work sceduele and get the tattoo done before I leave for university, which I appreciate greatly because I really wanted a tattoo before I leave. Everyone there is extremly professional, extremly kind and the shop is immaculately clean. I love the atmosphere, it made me feel totally relaxed for my first tattoo. The artist, Hollywood was very thorough with placement, colour and spacing choices with my tattoo and made sure I had everything exactly the way I want it. The only downside is that I had to wait an hour when I got to the appointment, however it worked out ok because the placement was a little revealing and everyone was gone by the time I got into the chair. Overall, I am 100% satisfied and once I figure out what I want next I can garuntee that I will be coming back for my next tattoo and possibly a piercing.

Today Destiny finished a tattoo that took years of planning and months of execution. It was an emotional experience that culminated in a beautiful tattoo from an artist that understood my needs. It was a cover up for a tattoo that was outdated and she made it disappear. The support staff, owners and other artists are friendly compassionate and offer valuable advice. Having had tatts from artists in the GTA and the U.S., this one was the most professional, reliable and understanding. I've already booked for future tattoos. In a world where tattoo parlours are plenty, they really are an anomaly. I would highly recommend getting a first, or next tattoo here. Thank you Destiny and Skintricate. You both deserve the reputation you've earned.

I did my research prior to getting my first tattoo and this was, by number of reviews and rating, the best place to get it. And I wasn't disappointed at all! Destiny was my tattoo artist and she went above and beyond the reference photo that I sent in. Now, I have a piece of art on my body that I won't even regret for a second. She also reassured me multiple times which helped a lot. The staff is also very friendly and comforting. Loved the experience and would definitely recommend whether it's your 1st tattoo or your nth one!

I went in yesterday intending to get both my nipples pierced. Anna took the time to explain that for my particular body I should get one at a time to make sure that there are no issues due to migration or rejection, which I'm really grateful for. The shop could have made more money to just give me both regardless of the risks, but I really appreciated her concern and professionalism. It's reassuring to see how much they genuinely care about their clientele! She was really thorough and made me feel very comfortable. I'm pretty OCD, especially about piercing placement (since it won't be moving once it's in obviously), but she marked me perfectly straight and was very precise when piercing. The tools were all packaged and sterile, incredibly clean. Overall, excellent experience! I will definitely be back in due time for the other one!! :)

For such a long time I made the assumption that piercing and tattoo parlours in Toronto are better than those in Mississauga. I assumed being in an artsy city made their art and body mods better. But that couldn't be further from the truth and Skintricate taught me that. I cannot speak about their tattoo artists, as I have never gotten a tattoo here. But I cannot say enough good things about Anna, their long time piercer. Anna is INCREDIBLE. She has helped me with piercings that aren't hers, she has changed my piercings when she had a line up of people waiting for her (I had an MRI I needed them out for and couldn't get them out myself) so she squeezed me in and got them out in 2 minutes, she's provided me with honesty and never does anything that is out of her realm of expertise. The studio itself is clean, well decorated, and the reception staff I've dealt with have always been very kind, professional, and helpful. All I can say is I will never go to anyone but Anna for all of my future piercings. love you Skintricate xo

Artist – Kyle. Design – Iron Fist’s Logo with green energy/chi emanating from it. This was my second tattoo (the first one being 10 years ago) and I have very sensitive skin. Kyle was great at making sure I was comfortable and we were able to take a few breaks in-between the work to give my skin a rest. The design of the Dragon was done perfectly and Kyle free-handed the flames. The tattoo came out amazing and it looks great on me. The placement was done perfectly on the first attempt and there was an overall good atmosphere during my 3 hours there. The shop itself is very clean (even the bathrooms were spotless). All the staff were very pleasant and easy to talk to. At no point did I feel uncomfortable in any way. The pricing was also fair and I ended up paying what I was quoted. For the amount of work done I feel I got a good deal. I would definitely recommend this shop and I plan on visiting again for my next tattoo.

Customer service was pretty awful and inconsistent. If you're looking to get a nose piercing (and it's your first time) you should steer clear of this place. The jewelry they use has no backing and mine fell out after only 2 weeks - meaning the hole closed up. On top of that, they were going to charge me full-price to get it re-pierced (basically $120 at this point).

Got my conch done about a month ago from Anna and it has been problem free so far (she also did a few other piercings for me a while back and all have been problem free). Came in today to have the jewelery changed on a few of my piercings. A great environment. Anna is very friendly and kind and great at her job! But everyone is welcoming and you definitely feel like more than just dollar signs when you walk in. They treat you like a human which is definitely refreshing!!!

I got a cross with John 9 on it the new years of 2019-2020. From the moment I was off the chair I took of a photo of the tattoo. I didn't notice at first but down the road it became very clear how HORRIFICALLY Kyle did on this tattoo. Scarring on every major line to the point where if I were to get it laser removed I would be left with scarring in the design of the ENTIRE tattoo. Spent more time focusing on the TV that was on rather than the tattoo at hand. If an establishment is willingly hiring someone of Kyle's quality, I wouldn't go here. I hope my story of having scarring so bad that its not fixable by award winning artists persuades you to look elsewhere. Below is the off the chair photo and the second is the scarring that came a couple months down the road.

The shop was very clean and the staff were very nice however I got my nose pierced in July and got a little bump next to my piercing. I called in and the person on the phone told me to use hydrogen peroxyde which only stung and made things worse. I later came to find out that you’re NOT supposed to use hydrogen peroxyde as it dries out the piercing and kills any new healthy cells. The problem persisted and I went to the walk in clinic just last month and was told that my piercing was actually pierced in the wrong place. Luckily the doctor was able to prescribe me with antibiotics to reduce the swelling of the bump but I feel like the piercer should have known the right place to pierce my nose.

I received a cartilage piercing and the staff was very experienced. I had not felt pain when she gave me the piercing and it was very quick. No appointment necessary; I went in and met the artist immediately, took about 5 mins! Costed $50 :) Definitely recommend Skintricate.

After a years worth of research I had a cover-up sleeve done by Hollywood and it's been a rollercoaster experience. His work with colors is phenomenal and I really like that part of my tattoo. However, before I started the cover up portion of the tattoo I was told by him that once he went over my old tattoo with black ink no part of the old tattoo will be visible or pop through. That was not the case and I was pretty disappointed. After half of my upper arm was finished I debated if I wanted him to finish the remainder of my arm. I decided to go with him since I wanted the art to be the same. Each session was filled with mixed feelings. The main reason why I felt let down is each time I showed up he was supposed have my stenciled drawing ready. It wasn't. At times I was really nervous as to how somethings were going to turn out and we had a few disagreements. He tried to correct what I didn't want but it was too late. If there were stenciled drawings ready there would be no issues. As another customer of his work pointed out, there was lack of interest and a rush to get the project out the door. Another issue I have with the work is the heavy hands and left me with 3 scars. All in all I paid over two grand for a mediocre tattoo.

Got a spine tat by Hollywood here quite some time ago and was really excited because of all of the excellent reviews. His work online looked incredible and I felt so comfortable going to Skintricate knowing his reputation in the community. Regrettably, my tattoo design was seemingly too boring for him or anyone at Skintricate to really care about. I submitted my idea for a tattoo well in advance of our appointment. When I arrived to have the tattoo done, they asked me to wait while they quickly whipped up a digitized version of the design on the computer. I was particular about the spacing and sizing of my design and tried to stress this to the person who drew up the digital design. I should have been more vocal but thought, "good enough" for a template. Well, the session itself was quick and easy. Hollywood made me comfortable when I got into the chair and was very clean and hygienic through the process. He reapplied the template a few times and reassured me that he was happy to do so since the tattoo would be on me for life. He kept saying how tattoos like mine don't get him excited like the more intricate and complicated designs (totally fair), but it began to feel like he didn't care about how mine turned out. The tattoo ended up being misaligned with some lines crooked because of the way he made my skin taut while tattooing. I really feel like if he cared about the design and me as a client, he would have taken more care in ensuring the design came out in the particular way that I expressed I had wanted it. I've come to appreciate the imperfection in the tattoo, but the overall experience was definitely a let down.

I have had an allergic reaction to every tattoo I have gotten except this one. Obviously they use good ink. The experience was great. We watched movies during the whole tattoo and time flew by. Tattoo needed on minor touch ups. Which I got for free and scheduled very quickly. Would definitely recommend this shop.

I went here to get my nose piercing changed. I previously got my nose pierced at pleasure & pain (I would highly recommend going there over this place - trust me). I told the workers more than once that I wanted a hoop for my nose piercing that would fit my nose nicely; something that would be a bit snug, and not overly big. Just for reference, I had previously tried on my friends hoop jewelry for my nose & it was the perfect fit. My nose is quite small, so I thought they would see that (if they had experience) and would know that I would need smaller jewelry. But no, of course not, I was given the size that most people get & once it was put on I absolutely hated it. It was massive for my nose. It looked like it was two sizes too big. The lady and the guy that worked there tried to reassure me saying that that was how it was “supposed” to look and that the smaller sizes wouldn’t fit me even though I knew they would because i’ve tried on my friends SMALLER sized hoop. I ended up telling the lady to take the hoop out of my nose and put my old jewelry back on for me. Although I was obviously unhappy and upset, they didn’t do anything to try and help the situation, they just followed me to the front desk to make sure that I paid, as if I would’ve just walked out and not paid for it. I will never be coming back & trust me, if I could give this place zero stars, I would. I’ll be telling all my friends to go somewhere else for their piercing & tattoo needs. Biggest disappointment. Also, side note, my nose wasn’t cleaned during the process and the lady did not wash her hands, so hopefully I don’t get an infection! :)

Me and my friends always come here for our tattoos and piercings and there are never any complaints!! DEFINITELY an upgrade from my experiences at Pleasure and Pain.. Anna always takes good care of us at the front and makes us laugh, feel welcomed and comfortable. She does piercings very professionally, doesn't rush through aftercare instructions or when she's explaining exactly how she's going to do the piercing which is fantastic. I got my first tattoo done on my wrist a few years ago by Kyle (I believe) and it came out awesome. Before he started, he explained to me why my original design slightly wouldn't work which I appreciated instead of him just going ahead and doing the original design. I got my second tattoo done by Mike in February on my ribs and he was amazing! He was extremely patient with me and very cautious of how I was doing and always tended to what I wanted. Alike with Ryan, he didn't hesitate to explain why the position I originally wanted on my ribs wouldn't come out how I wanted instead of just going ahead and doing it. Everything came out absolutely stunning, his line work and artwork is flawless! I bruised afterwards since I have sensitive skin and not much fat on my ribs, but I followed aftercare instructions and it healed very fast and with no issues. The price was a bit more than the quotes I got from other tattoo shops, but definitely worth every penny. I will always come here for future tattoos and piercings, and will continue to recommend this shop to everyone!! Staff is efficient, organized, friendly and spectacular. The shop and equipment is always very clean and nicely decorated! The Jessica Rabbit statue at the front is a nice touch

I had my tattoo consultation in October 2020. The earliest appointment for a 4 hour tattoo was December 31st 2020. This already instilled a lot of faith in this location and artist, Kyle, as a wait this long meant a high caliber of artistry. Due to covid-19, the appointment kept getting rescheduled. Fortunately, a temporary relocation in Oakville allowed for my March appointment to be fulfilled. I have to say, I am extremely happy with the quality of the tattoo and the care that Kyle put into his work. The experience was amazing and the entire studio felt like one big family which makes the customer feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Skintricate. i got my helix cartilage piercing done here and it was quick and hurt way less than i expected which was great. my only concern about that part was the way the pieces acted. she seemed like she didn’t want to be here and she seemed very bored and when she was explaining the process she was taking in a very monotone voice, and i’m not saying that she should be jumping around with joy but i feel like a bit more enthusiasm would make me and other customers feel more calm. anyways that wasn’t the bad part. the bad part was about 2 months later when i couldn’t take out my piercing so i came in for them to do it for me. might i add they charge $6 to do this! the piercer was trying to take it off and she pinched my ear multiple times to the point where it was bleeding (i’m sure it was by accident but it really hurt) and she couldn’t take it off so she had to cut it off. it’s been about a week since then and because of her pinching me with her pliers, i have a tiny blister looking bump near where my piercing is ( it’s at the back and it’s not exactly where the hole is, but it’s close). it’s slightly tinted red so i guess there’s blood under there. in conclusion i’m not hating on this tattoo/piercing shop, i just think the piercer could be a bit more enthusiastic and gentle to make sure the person getting the piercing doesn’t bleed and feel pain like i did.

I came in for a septum piercing with Anna, and it was one of the best piercing experiences I’ve had. She was very friendly and her chill personality made it that much better. I had to get pierced about 3 times (as this piercing is a blind piercing, where the entry and exit points are not easily seen), but regardless I didn’t feel uncomfortable, or rushed, or worried at all. Anna was super chill and I was able to stay calm throughout the entire experience. She also advised me that if once the piercing healed that I didn’t like how it sat, I could come in and she would re pierce it without a charge. Customer service was also amazing. After a long 15 years since the death of my father and reconciling with the fact that I'll never see him again, I wanted to honor his memory with a tattoo of a paragraph from his obituary. The Tattoo shop/business looked like a great place, it was busy which is a good sign. I made a consultation appointment with Kyle, which went very well. The followup appointment to view the drawing was amazing as Kyle was able to bring alive the spirit of my dad. When I initially booked my appointment it had to be put off because the artist was busy, but I was told that I could be put on the cancellation list, so if the artist gets a cancellation, they will call me. The nature of my work takes me away for several days, and sometimes my trips are unplanned. I've had to cancel and reschedule the final (actual tattoo work) appointment several times due to unscheduled work. I've followed all of Skintricate's cancellation policies in which I'm to give 48 hours notice. Regarding my scheduled appointment for March 8th, 2019, I sent a cancellation email on Wednesday 6th as I was advised by my employer at the last minute that I would be traveling on Thursday and Friday. Unfortunately, that meant that I would not be able to keep my appointment. I emailed Skintricate as soon as I found out that I would be traveling and asked that my appointment is canceled and rescheduled to the end of May (which is a slower time in my business). Based on the fact that the cancellation notification was sent after business hours on Wednesday it was considered to not be within the 48-hour window and I was advised that I would be losing my $100.00 deposit and when I reschedule I will have to make another deposit. Technically the notice was late by 6 hours. I asked the manager for some flexibility and was told that because of the previous cancellation I don't get the benefit of the doubt and that the artist will miss out on some earnings because they won't be able to fill my spot. I find this odd considering when I booked my appointment I was told that I could be put on the cancellation list. I also don't understand what my previous cancellation has to do with this, considering it was done well before the 48-hour requirement. I really feel that this manager was disregarding everything I was trying to explain. I was even willing to lose the $100.00 for now, but to at least be credited back when I actually get the work done rather than having to pay another $100.00 deposit, but she was unwilling to make any type of compromise. I have every respect for anyone trying to earn an honest living and I'm really sorry that I've had to cancel and reschedule my appointments because I am absolutely looking forward to getting the work done. I find it surprising to experience this kind of customer service at a small place like Skintricate - the customers are the number one for a business like this - it takes very little to change this around for Skintricate

I love this shop!! I've been a few times before for piercings with Anna, but this was my first tattoo. First, the initial consultation was amazing, it was very thorough and reassuring. They used several of my example pictures and took the time to ask me what I wanted. When I came in to preview the drawing, I was floored. Destiny did an amazing job and I was so excited. The actual tattoo process was fantastic as well! Destiny was wonderful, and she really made the process much easier for a first-timer. She did an amazing job, and I will absolutely be returning for many many more!

At least 6 of my family members, including myself have gone here for tattoos and have collectively spent thousands because the facility is nice and the tattoo artists are that good. They're professional, friendly and skilled. So you can imagine how surprised I was to experience the opposite when I went in for a piercing at the same shop...a $70 piercing that was slightly botched (for lack of a less dramatic word). Went in for a nipple piercing. Excited about the piercing itself and likely distracted by the pain of it, I didn't realize until I got home that it wasn't done right. The side the needle entered through was done just fine. Close enough to the base of the nipple that the ball of the bar was comfortably resting on the areola. The other side came out through about a third of the height of the nipple. Picture someone lifting weights but only getting one side of the bar off the ground...that's what I looked down at for a couple days while waiting for the piercer to be back in office. Went in, showed the piercer (Anna), she agreed it wasn't straight and at different heights on both sides. We pulled it out (ouch) and she offered to redo in a couple weeks once it had healed. Waited three weeks and went back in only to be told that it would have to be pierced like the side that stood away from my breast - yes the same side that had been the reason I had it removed in the first place. It didn't make sense to me as it was done right on one side before, why not just adjust to make it like that on the other side. So I decided against going through the pain for something that was pretty much guaranteed to be done wrong. I was told that the manager was spoken to and neither a credit note for jewelry etc. nor a refund were an option...however I could have this or another piercing done. I was no longer comfortable or confident about getting anything pierced there. I had spoken with a more experienced piercer at a piercing boutique in Toronto about what had been done, went in to see them the very next day and they were able to pierce it straight and properly positioned without all the ums and ahs and excuses. They used clamps to have the nipple extended and in full view of where the base actually was, which the piercer at Skintricate did not, even when asked. The piercer at the boutique also took the time to make sure they got it right. Quite a few things were done differently at the boutique versus Skintricate. They also didn't treat me as though they were doing me a favor...as was done at Skintricate when I was told "its a free piercing man"...when in fact it was only being done over "for free" because it wasn't done right the first time. I've written less than a handful of reviews in my life and the others were from positive experiences. I try not to put negativity out there just in case someone was simply having a bad/ off day. But this end result was after three visits and phone conversations. ie. Plenty of opportunity to better the situation. Understandably not every piercer is equal - inexperience, patience and skill being the factors to consider (all of which could possibly improve over time)...but doing the right thing and good customer service is the same across the board.

I decided to get a double helix piercing and researched about 5 places before settling on Skintricate. I was nervous about pain and cleanliness. The shop was clean and the piercing set-up/room was clean. Anna did a great job, I felt relaxed and it was quick with minimal pain. I went with two others who also had piercings done. Anna ensured we felt ok before and after the piercing and that we were satisfied with the positioning. We are all happy with the results and would definitely return. I wish I could give more stars! I just had a tattoo done with Tamara and I cant say enough great things about her work! From the moment I walked in all of the staff were professional and welcoming. I did my septum piercing here about an hour ago, and I had an amazing experience with customer service and how my piercer did it overall. The place is very clean, and sanitary and I could see the tools she was using. She went through the process of the aftercare as she was doing it, told me to take a deep breath and she pierced it and it didn't hurt at all. She ensured that I was okay afterwards as I was shaky and a little light headed. My piercer was very sweet and informative and she made me feel very comfortable. Piercings are at a good price range and I tipped because I was happy with the turnout. Definitely go here for piercings!!

I have 3 tattoos and have had all of them done here. My first was when I was 16, and the other two just recently after turning 18. The artists and managers here are super respectful and incredibly talented. I love how my tattoos turned out and I trust skintricate with any design i bring to them! Even when i don’t know exactly how i want it to look, the artists I’ve worked with both turned out wonderful designs that captured exactly what i was trying to describe despite my lack of any artistic/creative abilities. Tamara and Destiny were my artists and they are amazing! I will definitely be coming here again for as many future tattoos as I desire! During COVID they have also implemented many sanitization procedures and the whole place is very clean, organized, and consistent. Overall, for anyone looking to get a tattoo, I will always recommend skintricate (even though I live 45 minutes away) because of the wonderful service and artists! Keep it up Skintricate!!

My gf and I went into Skintricate today to get our rook ear piercing. Anna is quite honestly the kindest, most genuine soul that works at this location. She was super friendly and knowledgeable about piercing and took the time to explain and guide us towards what worked best. Anna was the one who actually does the piercing herself. Customer service skills were really lacking as the staff comes off as very condescending. They do not seem to enjoy their work. The girl who does the piercings has a terrible attitude. Please don’t waste your time here. She said she couldn’t do a piercing that I wanted... so then I went to another place in Mississauga as they were able to do it for me. Would not recommend!

First time here to get my fourth tattoo done. Excellent Artists, very professional. Showed them a sample of the writing I wanted done. I must admit was nervous as i did not think it would fit properly on my leg due to the size. They assured me it would. Booked in my tattoo appointment for a week later. Kevin was my artist, very friendly and made me feel at ease. He applied a stencil to my leg. Was not happy with it so he cleaned it and applied another. Have to say I was impressed as to how meticulous he was. The atmosphere was fantastic as we were all joking and laughing, there must have been 3 other people in the studio getting tattoos done and we all had a blast. My tattoo was exactly how I wanted it and the after car instructions were explained very well. Definitely recommend Skintricate.

The large shop manager with the bangs is VERY rude. Was basically accosted by this lady last week for sorting thru the shirts on display. No note about not touching them on the wall. If we can’t touch them move them away or just have one on display. Easy solution rather than yelling at potential customers. During a pandemic especially a small place like this should be so Grateful for anyone willing to drop any hard earned $$ on something as non essential as a tattoo, or a shirt with two ladies practicing sex acts on each other. Not sure her value or why they hire her at all

In Early November I decided I was going to get my first tattoo. I came across Skintricate Facebook page and fell in love with Jamie's work. I went to the shop and asked for a simple outline tattoo on the wrists. I was told that Jamie was an apprentice and I should go with Chris instead because he has more experience. I stressed I wanted a clean, precise tattoo and I was assured that Chris could do this. I added another tattoo to the appointment and I was given 2 and 1/2 hours for both tattoos. Before the appointment started he mentioned being excited to tattoo his friend's mom, whose appointment was right after mine. Then he introduces himself and begins talking about the procedure. The tattoo I wanted was a cursive script tattoo that starts from the top of ribs to the side of my butt. He told me he would have to cut the stencil to fit the curve of my body and where he cut the stencil is where he messed up. Where the stencil was cut is where he left out a period and the space after it. My orginal tattoo was of 6 personal phrases that were supposed to look like: Phrase 1. Phrase 2. Phrase 3. Phrase 4. Phrase 5. Phrase 6. Instead I got: Phrase 1. Phrase 2Phrase 3. Phrase 4. Phrase 5. Phrase 6 I couldn't see the mistake because my skin was so swollen. Also, halfway during the appointment his next appointment came in early. They stood, watched and talked over my tattoo. I told Chris at the beginning of my appointment that it's difficult for me to sit for long periods of time. He said we will take as much breaks as I needed. He started from my butt, I got one break just past my hip bone. When I asked for another break, he said power through it. It took 40 minutes to do both my wrists and rib tattoos, I was told it should take around 2 hrs give or take. I felt rushed. Things went from bad to worse. When I booked my appointment I told them I was moving out of province at the end of the month. I spoke with the shop owners Hollywood and Savanna about my experience. They offered me a cover up, squeezing in a period, getting their guy to laser a part of it off to create a space but no full refund. After all they offered me they couldn't actually do it because the skin needs time to heal and because I'm moving there's nothing they could do for me. I told them that the mistake was made on the most important phrase to me, the one closest to my heart and is in the most visible part of my tattoo. Which is why I'm so upset and sad about this mistake. Still no refund. They said because they offered other options (even though I'm moving) they can't give me a refund. I told them that i was assured that this guy was experienced and knew what he was doing. They said that they didn't understand how he could make a mistake like this but there's nothing they could do. I told Savanna I'm willing to walk away from this mess if I get my refund. She said she'll talk it over with Hollywood and call me back. I haven't heard from her since.

Pros: Amazing shop, amazing people. I always call and ask for the "coffee-blooded white dude, with a bunch kids in his early to mid 40s dude"-Kyle. My Tattoo was 95%, and since they offer free touch ups, I got it done 100% on my second visit. Oddly enough, on my second time I passed out, and Kyle was so supportive, and the owner brought me a cold coke to make sure my blood sugar was in check. These guys are so professional, and great at what they do. Cons: If you read my comment, and the many others, you'll see why they are so busy. So, if I may find even the smallest complaint is these guys are way too busy! I needed to book a month in advance. So maybe in my own self interest, I should tell you these guys are terrible, and hog this shop all to myself, haha.
