I got my very first tattoo exactly two weeks ago from Hon Tattoo. Nico was my artist and honestly all I can say is, y’all have my heart. From the start, everything was explained so well to me and I love how Nico gave me her honest opinion about the sizing and location to ensure the best looking tattoo. And I gotta say damn she did amazing. It was a small scripture on my wrist and I left there with a wide grin. Thank you my lovelies. I’ll be back!!

Went to get Jesus piece tattoo last month and my appointment was 11am and did get tattoo until 1 1/2 later. My tattoo was poorly done. I ask for black and grey realism piece and end up getting super high dark contrast tattoo which is not what I expected.The tattoo was poorly done. Lots of ink and dark contrast on it. The Jesus face itself is not realism. From the outline itself you could now tell whether it’s Jesus portrait or some old guy portrait. Realism tattoo must be detail not focusing on dark contrast. I think I’m going to laser tattoo removal to get this thing remove so embarrassing to have this piece . Anyways if you want black and grey realism tattoo go somewhere else period .

Great environment and great employees, really love the piece but if I'm being honest the only reason I'm putting 4 starts because the artist may have been exhausted towards the end cuz there are a few lines off or incomplete (I don't blame him, he was working his a$$ off for 3 and a half hours straight). I know if I needed a little break I could have asked but the same applies to him too, I wouldn't mind the artist taking a few minutes for himself.

Great experience here for my first tattoo! Artist was very accommodating, not only by making sure I loved my design, but also that the size was a perfect medium that fit my budget! Clean and relaxed environment with friendly workers. Overall, great customer service! Very reasonable pricing as well, especially in comparison to other shops in Toronto. Good for walk-ins and short notice too, as I called and was able to book an appointment for 3 hours later the same day. Would definitely recommend Hon Tattoo!

I was scheduled on this shop last year July 23,2020 around 5-6pm and very disappointed of my butterfly tattoo, cause it was not turned out what I really wanted. The Chinese guy was the one who's scheduled for me that day. Now 7 months later i can see how it looks like faded some the area. I really regret that i visit on this shop.

If you are wondering whether to get a tattoo from Hon, I highly highly recommend. I have 3 other tattoos and I thought about going back to my original place but I'm SOOOOO glad I didn't and went to Hon instead!! They were super friendly, professional, and on time. They spent 1hr just getting my tattoo idea down pack (and I'm hella picky). Rafael did an amazing job with all the fine lines and capturing exactly what i wanted. Very detailed orientated and a great listener. Price of my dainty tattoo was very fair and tbh I thought it would've costed me more. Overall if I could give them a 6 out of 5, I would. Definitely going back for my big tattoo piece.

Clean space with helpful staff. We did a walk-in on a Saturday. Our tattoo artist was patient and understanding. However, I thought the pricing wasn’t reasonable, my friend and I paid $250 together for a 2 inch tattoo plus $50 for a retouch on a small tattoo.

My artist, Vicky did an amazing job with my tattoo - she is a very talented artist who takes her work very seriously. The atmosphere is super laid-back and everyone is very friendly, which I think is so important for any business. My tattoo wasn't very overpriced and I am happy with it. I would highly recommend this tattoo studio for anyone looking to get a tattoo! The only thing is that I would make sure to communicate to your artist in a clear and straightforward manner as English is not their first language but this is not a big issue. EDIT: The owner of the studio personally contacted me after reading the review and apologized for everything, which I appreciated. He explained they've been experiencing high volumes of DMs after covid and are also in the process of training new staff. He was also able to schedule time in with one of the artists and was extremely responsive. My overall experience at the studio was very positive. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly and 2 of the owners (Matthew and Shark) came and apologized again for the booking experience. My tattoo artist, Tommy, was also great to work with and was also able to accommodate a last minute tattoo request from my husband. Thank you Hon Tattoo for addressing the situation and for taking care of us! OLD REVIEW: This place came as a recommendation from a Facebook group that I follow. I had high hopes for this place and was hoping to get a tattoo done here. I messaged them 3 weeks ago, they replied back, asked me to send them an image of what I was looking to get done and they gave me a quote. I was ready to move forward and asked for their availability for 2 appointments but they went radio silent and didn't respond back. I followed up again, they asked which days I preferred, I replied back and then they went silent again. I even called to see if they had availability for walk ins. It has been over a week without any response. It is clear that they don't want my business, perhaps the job that I'm looking to get done is too small. Regardless of the reason, I would've hope they'd be more transparent and responsive. While I can't comment on their work specifically, I can comment on their customer service and professionalism (or lack thereof).

They are so super responsive when you're contacting them via Instagram, or trying to get quotes and they fit you with an artist based on what you're looking for if you dont have an artist in mind. Most of their artists feature their insanely good work on Instagram so I definitely recommend you guys follow them on IG. I got three pieces done by Mint today and she is just about the sweetest, most ultra talented artist with such a good hand at doing single needle/fine line work. She's also incredibly fast. I had my first tattoo here. Finding the shop was a little troublesome because it's in a Chinese mall, but they were very helpful with directions. Before coming here I checked out Chronic Ink which was larger but something about Hon tattoo made me feel extremely comfortable. Master Shark was very relaxing. He consulted me on what I wanted my lettering to look like as well as the size, and scrolled through options for lettering. Then his manager walked in and took over so Hon could take his next client, but he was equally relaxing. I left and came back several days later and they remembered me. During the tattoo the environment was cheerful and stories were being shared. What little pain there was was mostly forgotten, and the tattoo was finished before I knew it. The product was beautiful. I have seen several lettering tattoos and the precision of Hon's lines were impressive. I would likely have paid more to get a tattoo that was so clean and error free. They recommended after care and even answered questions I had two days later about the healing process. I will be going back to get my chest done by Master Shark. Highly recommended.

Was quoted 80 cad for a small tattoo and paid double I believe. should've written this review when I first got the tattoo but since it's practically on the back of my neck i don't really see it. Well, in a photo yesterday I could see it really needs a touch up I have 13 tattoos mostly large ones and haven't had this much fallout of colour in any others. The tattoo is a Linkin Park logo I got it done the day after Chester bennington passed away. I showed the guy the logo several times and he nearly tattooed it in a completely wrong direction lol. thankfully I figured it out before it was permanently on me. much better shops out there.

Amazing! I went today to get my first tattoo and felt so much love and joy throughout the entire experience. I initially went to get multiple very small tattoos but left with only one (solely because I didn't feel like it was time for me to get my other ones). Through the sketching, printing and placing of the stencils, I felt comfortable enough to ask TK to move it and adjust certain things; he was extremely kind and accommodating. When my first tattoo was complete I was so happy; it was and is perfect. The other artists were so nice and welcoming. The entire vibe of the shop is amazing, it's clean and modern. The customer service at Hon was outstanding. The gentleman on the phone was super accommodating and informative. When I arrived everyone was welcoming and attentive. They listened to all my questions, concerns and were very helpful. My artist was very gentle with little to no pain during my appointment, great time management as well. The only thing I wasn't too happy with was that my artist did not confirm my tattoo script with me and almost made a spelling error. This made me realize he didn't really pay attention to his work. Other than that, I would highly recommend this studio.

Before I write a novel of my experience, I highly recommend Hon Tattoo Studio for anyone looking to get a tattoo. Truly amazing place, great artists, everyone is kind and approachable, studio is clean and inviting, great place to get inked. I've been looking for a tattoo studio in the Markham area for 3 years after being disappointed in my previous tattoo studios work (Blackys Tattoo Studio). I found Hon Tattoo Studio online and reviewed their portfolios and decided to give them a shot. My artist was San and I couldn't be happier with his work. I got a fox tattooed on my inner bicep, and both San and the other artists took the time to look at the design, share some insights on how best to make the design work, rather than just sitting me down and doing what I gave them, which I was impressed by. They want to make sure the piece turns out as best as possible, even if it means telling you something wont work well. That is an important factor for me, as I'm no expert and I want the artist to tell me if what I want isn't going to turn out how I think it will. Not only that, he touched up another tattoo I had free of charge while he was doing the piece I had come in for, which was fantastic at it had bothered me for years. The studio is small, but inviting and all the artists are approachable and create a great atmosphere for a tattoo. San never rushed his work, and was considerate, asking me if I needed to take a break a few times as it was a nearly 5 hour session laying on my back, with my arm bent backwards in an uncomfortable position. During a break they even offered me a slice of pizza which was great because of the length of the session. I am a rather harsh critic when it comes to tattoos because of my previous poor experience with other studios, so for me to give 5 stars means a lot. I have plenty more pieces I want done, and I will be getting them done by San at Hon Tattoo. I highly recommend that you visit them if you're planning to get a piece done, as you wont be disappointed. Thank you to everyone at Hon Tattoo Studio, especially San, this is the best of my 8 tattoos by a mile.

At first very nice. They booked me promptly and came back with a sketch in a timely fashion. On the day of the master shark took his time and paid attention to detail. His confidence was very relaxing. By this he was confident in his work so it eased your mind. The issues started when I wanted to do a touch up which was free within the first 3 months after getting your tattoo. After 2 weeks I noticed a line missing on mine and requested an appointment. This took over 2 weeks for a reply and the date was booked outside of the 3 months on a random weekday. I replied back asking to see if there were any other time slots. No response. So big pieces they are good in overall service it's just when the come to their promises of a touch up is where things get sketchy.

From the get go my artist Shem was professional; had great co-operation leading up to the actual day of. On the day of, the environment was clean and everyone was friendly and welcoming. Spent around 6 hrs getting my tattoo at no point did I feel discomfort. Throughout the process Shem was professional; walked me through the waiver, showed me the new needles before opening. Took his time to make sure every detail was done correctly as well check if I was okay, and timed breaks properly, was a pleasure talking to him. Shem's art style is unique but it is a style that I personally was looking for; an anime style with his own flavour. Would recommend this place in general for getting your tattoo done, every artist is great; and if looking for some sort of anime/cartoon/ caricatures Shem is your man.

I went to Hon to have Peter work on my first tattoo. It was a memorial piece for my first born who died at birth, her footprint. I wanted it as realistic as possible and not only did Peter nail it with his amazing dot work but he also reworked her name as a butterfly concept beautifully! I am absolutely in love with this meaningful artwork i carry on my body. It is having beautifully. On top of it Peter is super professional and takes cleanliness to the next level! The shop itself had the most Covid safety protocols in place then any other store I have been too! Limited people at the shop, workstations separated with plastic barriers and roped off, temperature check taken before entering into the shop and a face mask given to wear over your face mask! Peter also wore a face mask and face shield the entire process. I felt very safe and comfortable. I highly recommend Hon and especially Peter to anyone looking for amazing ink in a safe and friendly environment!

I messaged Jenny, who I followed for her experience with black floral outlines and super clean/thin lines, and she was super helpful and welcoming right away AND she replied super quick (within minutes for me). She even said I could bring my friend along for moral support. The minute we stepped in it was super clean and was really nicely set up. All the staff at the studio made us both feel super comfortable and relaxed. For the tattoo, I asked Jenny what her recommendation was for both the sizing and location and she was very honest with me, which I loved. The whole time spent there was a lot of fun and she was super patient when I had to pause or laugh or whatever. The studio and the staff are amazing and I thank Jenny for turning her beautiful artwork into my newest tattoo. I love it! I will be coming back for sure!

Came in for a consult today at HoN Studios Woodbine. I was helped by Miyuki at the front desk. She is super friendly, and was extra patient with me as I asked a ton of questions. She made me feel like none of my questions were dumb (even though I thought most of them were!). After 30 minutes of going back and forth I booked a piece with Vicky that I am very excited out. After being recommended to Hon Tattoo by my brother, I came to have 3 tattoos fixed and redone that I was not happy with from a previous artist elsewhere. Michael gave me a great consultation and booked me with TK. TK was fantastic! I am so happy with my tattoos now! He balanced them out, cleaned up the line work and made it more precise, and made the colour more even and vivid! I am definitely coming back, in fact I pre- booked my next appointment and am recommending all of my friends! All of staff are very friendly, nice and helpful! They gave great aftercare instructions. Prices are very reasonable. TK was so kind and listened exactly to what I wanted while being realistic and honest about what could be done to fix my tattoos. He was very attentive and caring with giving breaks in order to cool down the area and check on how the ink was doing ????

If you're looking to get a tattoo done, this is the place. Master Shark is truly a master at what he does. I love art and I love to draw also. I would definitely be picky on who I would want to do my tattoo. But with Shark, I'm totally worried free. If I could, I would fall asleep easily in the chair knowing that I would just wake up with an amazing tattoo. His line work is amazing but his shading is what really got me. A lot of tattoo artist can draw but what really makes shark stand out is how he brings his work to life with his shading. The place itself is very relaxing. Everyone there is friendly also. There's times where they would offer me if I wanted anything from Tim Hortons while getting a tattoo done. This really shows that they care more for their clients over money. I can't think of anything bad about this place. So overall, just go to HON and get it done already. Don't hesitate.

After a terrible experience at another local studio (thankfully I had the foresight to cancel that other appointment and book at Hon), I visited Hon Tattoo (Markham) for a consult/booking. The staff there is friendly, the environment is clean and Emily was assigned as my artist based on my design. When I first contacted her via email, she responded right away and was punctual with emailing me my design on the date/time that she provided. On the day of my appointment, I wanted a small adjustment and Emily was more than happy to oblige. The tattoo went smoothly and it was fantastic. Her talent is incredible; you can tell that she really enjoys her work and I am so happy with my tattoo. I will definitely be returning to Hon / Emily (@emily_hontattoo) for my next piece.

Have been looking at a particular design for a year now and I went to numerous parlors prior to getting my first tattoo at Hon Tattoo. Some of the parlors replied but never got the job done (to-date) others didn't reply. Hon was quick to reply to all my queries, consultation took 5 mins, appointment was as per my preferred time and the tattoo artist (Johnny) is amazing at his art. I was shown three sizes of the tattoo (a Farohar), complete with stencils so I could decide on the exact placement and size. Very little pain involved and I was done in 40 mins tops. The tattoo looks amazing and intricate in detail. My tattoo was properly taped with clear, surgical tape (not cling film) and most friends who have seen it want the same tattoo. I would not hesitate to recommend Johnny to family and friends, and will definitely be going back for more tattoos soon... thanks guys, you did an amazing job.

I went into Hon tattoo studio yesterday with my mom. We were getting matching tattoos, it was my mom's first tattoo and she was extremely nervous. Right when we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff, she studio is extremely clean and welcoming. Every single one of the staff members smiled and said hi.
