Some of the staff there are on point and are about their business. Some other staff members ruined the name by being lackadaisical and slow. I had to leave my walk in appointment because my artist found everything else to do in the shop except tattoo me.

Lloyd saved my life . I had a gift certificate to a different shop and I decided to go for a tattoo . I recent had my daughter ( first child ) and wanted her hand print. This other shop messed my tattoo up it looked like a claw from jurassic park . luckily I went to loyd right away and told him how heart broken I was and with his help I now have a beautiful hand print for my daughter. Such an amazing artist and caring person. I will not go anywhere else.... EDIT - I will not return to this shop but I'm leaving my review up because its about Lloyd. This shop let lloyd go and not only was that a mistake for them they posted it all over social media with a bunch of lies and accusations. With the owner doing so it made the shop look trashy that they would do that to someone they trusted as a manager. Just imagine what they say about their customers after they leave . Very unprofessional .... Ill be following lloyd where ever he goes.

Went in and was tattooed by Rich. The shop was very clean, great atmosphere, and most importantly I felt very comfortable throughout the whole experience. I came in with a vague idea and Rich turned it into something that blew away my expectations. I had a visual in my head and what he produced went above and beyond. Not only was he thorough and professional, but him and the other artists in the shop made it feel like I was just hanging out with a bunch of friends rather than just being another customer. Three hours in the chair and never a dull or uncomfortable moment. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back for more ink.

Got my first tattoo here on Thursday for my birthday, got tattooed by James, and I can't even fully explain how happy I am with the job he did. Got my sons name on my collar bone, he did such an amazing job, I'm still completely obsessed with it, highly recommend this place to anyone, such nice and welcoming staff, super clean environment and just a chill place to hangout and get tattooed! Got my septum pierced by James here as well back in September and I still 110% love my piercing he did. I refuse to go anywhere else for tattoos or piercings and hope to be back for a tattoo again soon!!

Absolutely one of the worst tattoo shops I've been in and I've traveled the world. Atmosphere is typical of a Niagara Falls tourist attraction. Computer bar meets sleezy biker bar. Staff was ok, I found the counter guy rude and a little full of himself. Maybe on drugs. Smelt of pot for sure. Music was so loud I could barely hear him talking. All staff were wearing the same thing, where is the individuality/personality of each artist. I felt like I was in a garage getting my car fixed. After being told I couldn't have work done by the artist I'd chosen and Id have to choose someone else, I decided to leave. After all the good reviews I chanced this place to find it doesn't live up to its hype. Definitely not the best tattoo shop in Niagara as they claim.

Me and my friend are visiting and decided to get piercings done on a whim. They were able to take us immediately, I had the top of my ear done. James is an awesome guy, made us feel safe and at-ease. He was quick, efficient, and very friendly. If I lived in the area I would 100% get any future piercings done by him.

Took my girlfriend to get a tattoo of her home’s coordinates. We wrote down the coordinates properly on a piece of paper and they tattooed the wrong number on her arm. Once we realized we took her back in to get it fixed and they wouldn’t give us our money back and they did a terrible job fixing it and left a big scar on her arm. When we first went in to get the tattoo they didn’t ask for her ID and they didn’t make her sign anything. Sketchy place. Be careful before you get a tattoo here.

Great accommodating staff got my wife and her sister in and out within one hour without an appointment. Artists were very skilled and made waiting entertaining as they were hilarious. Ask for Rich if you want some sort of script tattoo done. But I am sure all the artists would do a great job!

Visited the shop yesterday while I was visiting Niagara Falls and got two helix piercings from the owner, James who was very nice. As soon as I walked in, he acknowledged me right away, asked me what I was looking to get and immediately started setting up. He also told me the price before I signed the release form, which I appreciated. The prices here are awesome: $40 per piercing with jewelry and taxes included. I'm from the states and I pay around $80 just for one piercing, so this shop is definitely doing it right. The piercing was quick and painless and I was in and out within 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to get a good quality piercing. Thanks again!

Came a few nights ago to get tattooed and just after 8 i was told i couldnt get it done so i paid 20 to get it the next day after working an hour with the artist, a day later i go in, the artist forgot we made the appointment so he was doing another tattoo, i waited 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment for another artist to do my tattoos and he did half of one of them darker than the other tattoo and a half, good money though and if the lines werent lighter in some places id give a 4 and if i got the original artist i designed my tattoos with it would have been a 5. Shit happens i guess.

Not even asking if we had an appt, or if we needed help, walking by us, as tho we weren't sitting there for 15 mins. Walked in first of all, we talked to the tattoo artist. First he wasn't helpful in the guidance of making what we were looking for to be our own. Then add in that he was overpriced. 125 an hour for a small piece that should've been about 80. Avoid here, there's a bunch in town however.

Don't waste your time. I walked in over a week ago asking about getting a half sleeve on my arm done. Craig sat down on a computer with me and wrote down my ideas and said he would draw something up. We then booked a reveal appointment and I gave a $40 deposit. I showed up for my reveal appointment and he told me he was too busy to even get to starting my tattoo and to give him another day. 3 days later and I still haven't heard anything, what about my $40? What a joke. Go elsewhere or don't deal with Craig.

Me and my friends came here for tattoos. we are from out of town... my friend got something as small as a quarter, and i got something else that was the similar size. it's cash only, and the minimum of the shop was way too expensive for what we wanted, so we tried to crack a deal, but they said no in a rude way - which was fine, but then i asked to fill the time with something else very small and the guy said no - that's what i was pissed off about. customer service could be way better. you cant even watch your friend get a tattoo, you gotta sit on the couch in the lobby all alone.

I was over charged (270$ for something the size just a bit smaller than a hockey puck), the tattoo was spelt wrong, and the "artist" (loyd) made me re pay just to get it touched up after he messed it right up! the entire thing is completely faded, line work is HORRIBLE and thats after a touch up! First you walk up narrow steep stairs and enter a room with loud music and computers. It looks more like a sleezy computer bar. There was a sad looking child sitting alone on this random black sofa. No one waiting at the counter and I stood there for 6 minutes (I timed it) until a guy looks up and screams from the other end of the shop. They did not have any labrets and suggested that I go to Claire's. For a place with "piercings" in its name not to have studs is sad and to make such a suggestion scary dangerous for someone's ears!

Over priced and unprofessional.

My friend and I were walk-ins for a touch up and a small quote. The tattoos were 5 stars and the experience was about 2 stars. We were told that the wait would be about an hour which was expected and accurate. Note we never signed any documentation, paid in cash and were not given receipts. We were told that we would be receiving our tattoos from Korey. As we waited we chatted with Hank, who ended up doing both of our tattoos. He hand wrote my friends quote and free hand drafted my tattoo over the existing one I had. The tattoos came out great and we were very happy with the final products. My friends quote was $70 (shop minimum) and my rose was $100 (fair for the work he did). HOWEVER, Hank was unprofessional and extremely inappropriate. There was a multitude of sexual and racist jokes that Hank made, which all made us very uncomfortable. When asked to stop making offensive jokes, he continued. This is extremely uncomfortable to go through when someone is holding a needle and ink to your body. It came out during our session that he was suppose to take another girl before us but that he took us first because “She is brown and I don’t tattoo brown people.” He continued to make racist jokes even while she was in the room next to us. Overall the experience was uncomfortable and we were happy to leave, never to return again with our beautiful new tattoos.

If I could give more stars I would! My friend and I went in today to get tattoos. These people were so amazing and welcoming... EVERY SINGLE PERSON WAS WONDERFUL! I’ve never walked into a shop and felt so comfortable! I had no idea what I wanted, just something to commemorate our group trip. Craig helped me come up with an amazing design. I love my tattoo and if it wasn’t a 4 hour drive I’d never go anywhere else for my tattoos

Love the piercing hated how they ripped me off. I am traveling from the US came and read a lot of good reviews on this place. Paid for it and didn't realize that I gave the piercer way too much money. $80 in US money is $106 Canadian money. Pocketed $40 by not converting my money and will not allow me to get that money back saying US money is the same as Canadian money. NO. I'm very dissappionted.

Alex did an amazing job on our tattoos! It was a group of 5 of us that he was able to accommodate same day walk in. Very professional and great atmosphere! I’d highly recommend! Three of us girls got the 3 hearts tattoo and my brother in law got the other. Our 5th friend got another tattoo artist(sorry we didn’t catch your name!) to do a sick jellyfish! Reason I’m giving 2 stars is cause Jenn was great with my small tattoo done a few months back ! My piercings I got [each ear got the helix] never healed properly..once I got back home I got both removed and both were pretty infected, especially my right ear. I do believe [also based on the piercer’s observation back home] the quality of jewelry used is not good. Both of my ears were still really red and throbbing which never happens with a good piercing. I had to go on antibiotics to help heal my ears.

Best place to go if you're looking to get some great work. The staff are great, and seriously talented. I've been going to Rob James for years and have never gotten a bad tattoo. If you want a clean environment with awesome artist, this is your best bet.

Cheap Piercings are not better. I had a piercing done here and it was done completely wrong. I visited with a well known 18 year veteran APP piercer in Toronto and was told it was pierced incorrectly with cheap jewellery. Which explained the discomfort I was in. After numerous failed attempts to get in touch with the owner I've decided to leave this review. The piercer here was not trained and the jewellery is cheap. You get what you pay for. Do your research before attending this establishment.

Been thinking of writing a review for a couple months now. Didn't want to throw the business under the bus. With careful consideration I've decided to write this review. The atmosphere is clean. That's the only plus I can list here. The staff is arrogant and they ignore you when you walk in. The quality of work is poor and imo overpriced. While I was there I witnessed a physical altercation between staff members. I believe in regards to a personal issue. The level of unprofessionalism was astounding and frankly uncalled for in a public setting. I left upset with my experience. This review is a result of months of stewing on the unprofessionalism I experienced. I will not be recommending this tattoo shop.

Absolutely amazing! Was there for 5 hours the other day with my dad and he absolutely loved his tatto he got done. Rich did the tattoo for him and i highly recommend going to Rich for any tattoos being done in black and grey. I got my tatto touched up as well by another man and it was script and made it look so much better than before. I'll for sure be coming back to get my sleeve done here. Would recommend to get whatever tattoos you need done at Dog Pound.

Craig helped the 3 of us and despite running a little late (not his fault) he was very professional and really took the time to ensure we were getting what we wanted. He even put on some music for us we requested. This was a first tattoo for 2 of the people in our group and we all agreed it was a great experience.

This place is the used car lot/salesmen of tattoos. All these good reviews must be fake or pushed for. They mislead you to believe this is a good place. They don't work with you on design. The guy suggested we chose a design online for him to copy. Over priced. Poor customer service. Bad attitudes. All the guy wanted was our money. Bringing my son here was a waste of our time. I suggest somewhere else that values customers.

This was the worse service I have ever had. Me, my cousin and sister walked in and they didn't even acknowledge that we were there, didn't even say hi nothing. We waited there for about 20 min just to talk to someone about getting a tattoo and no one even spoke to us, after waiting we walked out. Worse experience every!!!

Rich completed a tattoo of a wolf on my arm. It took over 3 hours. It came out 1000x better than I could of imagined. He is extremely talented, I was there for most of the day & all the guys that work there are extremely friendly, make sure you feel comfortable & are super chill. This is my third tattoo from dawg pound & will deff not go anywhere else. My boyfriend was tattooed by James & absolutely loves his tattoos as well! Amazing service & talent!!

What an awful experience. I was actually referred by my ex husband as he knows owner, I don’t believe he was there. They were beyond rude. What an awful feeling. The one guy with the card tattoos on his hand was so out of it, I don’t know what he was on. My ex felt so bad that we were treated so awful and was embarrassed he sent us there. I will take all future business else where.

Its the worst place I ever had been in ... they don’t not how to talk with customers. Its my first tattoo I got done in this cheapest shop. They didn’t tell me anything and didn’t get my sign on any form. When tatto was healed ,half of tatto is disappeared. I went back they said we can’t guarantee .. have to pay full amount same as before...they were so rude they said we don’t care about clients.. I don’t know about whom they r caring if they don’t care about customers.. Totally ridiculous service.. no words to describe how cheap they are... I don’t recommend to anybody.. I went there about a week ago to get my belly button pierced. I have been cleaning it 3 times daily with 1 cup water to 1/4 tsp salt. It is oozing green liquids; common sign of infection. The piercing is not straight, at ALL. I would NOT recommend to go there, although the employees were really nice. EDIT: The piercing is NOT straight, now tell me that has nothing to do with the piercer. Explain this one to me.

I have only 3 tattoos but oh my God I love them all thanks to these guys! Rich did an amazing bamboo stock on my back that looks beyond realistic! And Rob did a huge piece on my arm that I'm in love with and wont stop getting compliments on! Both of these men have amazing personalities, and are great men to get along with. If you ever walk into a tattoo shop thinking you know more than they do, you shouldnt be getting tattooed. I've heard people speak to these artists like they have no clue what they're doing, and they wonder why the artist would be slightly offended? Have a down to earth personality, want a great experience and an amazing tattoo? Come here.

This was simply the worst customer service ever experienced. From the moment I informed the artist my design idea, I was quickly met with disappointment, lack of enthusiasm and an overall unwilling attitude to completely hear what I was saying. I walked in enthusiastic and by the time I was done explaining my idea, I was turned off by so much by their attitude, that I told them to forget about it and walked out.
