I got a tattoo here a while back and it turned out pretty bad unfortunately. I think the artist was an apprentice and I wasn't aware. The lines are wiggly and uneven, and the whole thing is scarred and blown out. It looked okay at first but after it healed, it became a 3D blob. I don't think the artist works there anymore but I wanted to mention it anyway. I also went in recently to inquire about some piercing prices and availabilities. The person working seemed pretty stand-offish. Almost like she was annoyed I was there. I ended up going somewhere else with friendlier staff.

Went in to get new jewelry for my piercings and the piercer changed them for me, charged $5 and was absolutely amazing! I usually can't switch jewelry without pain and I didn't even feel it. Only reason I'm not giving five stars is that some of the other employees weren't very great about mask wearing.

I went to Anger Ink twice this weekend. Once on Saturday, tried to do a walk in appointment but was told it was very busy and I should make a appointment. Made a appointment when the shop opened, was told the artist was running late. A few people came in, people talking and eating. After 20 minutes, the artist that they setup me with did not speak english. No problem with that, the front desk girl help and showed him what I wanted and had me wait again. After about a hour of waiting, I walked out. I saw people that came in after I did were getting served and I felt like they didn't care about me. What was the point of getting a appointment when walk-ins would get served before me. The tattoo that I wanted wasn't difficult. And I talked to 2 people that spoke english that work there. And some of the walk ins spoke english as well. Why would I get setup with a artist that I can't talk to? Both times going there, it didn't feel right. Not sure if being African American had to do with anything but I didn't feel like they wanted to served me. Look like a nice shop but I wasn't able to get a tattoo there. From my experience from going there, it was a waste of time.

Crazy pricing! Do not let them start your tattoo until you agree upon a price. Be prepared to haggle to settle on a price. My wife and I were charged $170 each for a tattoo that took 10 minutes. I understand there is some set up involved but we even brought in our own design. When we got there we asked the front desk how much it cost. They said our artist would let us know. Our artist didn't bring up the price until we were done and then said the cost was $200 each! I said I didn't feel good about that so he dropped to $170 each (still crazy, see my tattoo pictured below). I have another tattoo that took 3 hours, the artist designed it based on my input and that cost me $300. The positives? The people are nice and the tattoo was done well.

Called on a Tuesday morning to ask if they did walk-in tattoos which they did! The artist (Fede) was extremely calm and delicate and took time to draw our tattoos and make sure we really liked what we drew (even though the tattoos were very small and simple). This place is a little bit pricier compared to other tattoo shops I've been to, but I definitely appreciated the great service and the professionalism. The place was clean and COVID-19 precautions were very well respected!

I didn't have a great experience at angerink. The staff was really unfriendly and impatient with me. They did not inform me that they charge for a piercing replacement. I requested a full hoop for my nostril piercing but they installed a nostril nail (not a full ring) - and I couldn't tell until I got home and saw that it doesn't have a back on one of the sides,which means it could easily slip out if it turns. They live up to their name - angry staff.. I don't recommend.

We can’t be less impressed with JP “Grim” Denis who just didn’t show and strung us along by texting colleagues that he’d be there soon. Extremely disappointed. We certainly expect more professionalism and have never encountered anything like this from the multitude of shops we’ve gotten work done in.

I find it ironic that this place is called Anger Tattoo because the vibes at this place are really awesome. Everyone is really cool and I spent most of the time laughing. I walked in this morning and was greeted right away and given a more than reasonable quote for what I was looking for by Gabor. Being the over analyzer that I am, I left to think about it for a little while longer and decided to move forward. I went back later in the afternoon to speak with Gabor and he was nothing but helpful and knowledgable about what he was doing. The space was nicely decorate and everything very clean & sterile. My finished tattoo turned out exactly how I wanted it and dreamt about! I would definitely recommend Anger Ink and Gabor! Also, Kati at the front desk was nothing but awesome and helpful as well during my visit. Thanks guys!

Had a very bad experience getting my ears pierced at Anger Ink. I was told to wait 15 minutes and I kid you not, ended up waiting 1h45 mins to see the piercer because he wanted to go grab dinner... Then, he proceeded to talk to my friend and I in a very patronizing and condescending way. The piercing hurt a lot and I almost fainted while he did it (which I don't think is normal) and it ended up being uneven... 6 months later my ear piercings are still infected. I do not recommend, please save your cash and your body and get pierced somewhere else.

Got a piercing by Yan and he's a nice guy but not the most experienced piercer. The jewelry I ended up getting was too short and created a lot of pressure on my ear in the course of normal swelling. After a week, one night, my ear swelled up a lot, I spent the night in pain and worried that an infection had set in, so I researched online and found that the jewelry I got was inappropriate for my piercing. The next morning I went to Adrenaline for help, sorry but I didn't trust Yan's opinion to fix it. They put a barbell in, it wasn't as pretty but it relieved the pressure. The aftercare instructions I got were also quite minimal. I was told to use a spray saline solution but 5 to 10 minute soaks are the norm recommended by many many other piercers online and at Adrenaline. If you've done your research and know what you want and how it should be done, I'd go to Yan, he's fast and likeable but if you're new to piercing and are relying on the best advice, google Montreal's Best Piercers and go to a proven place where the piercers have more experience. It was painful having my ear swell up to the point of being puffy around the jewelry, having the jewelry changed a week in and paying and extra $50 to fix something that should have been done right the first time.

Went there with a friend on a wednesday to get the two-for-one piercing promo. We arrived pretty late, after 6pm, without an appointment. Took a good while to see the piercer (maybe one hour?) but we were in no hurry and they let us know it would take a while, so be ready to wait. The piercer (Loi? Zoi? hard to read the handwriting) was great, very attentive and careful. Overall it was a really good price for the quality and the experience we had.

If you choose to either get tattooed or pierced here you're making a seriously irresponsible decision. I made the mistake of coming in today with a simple piercing question and was met by Eric the piercer who I've literally never encountered someone more unprofessional. He comes from his cigarette break looking annoyed, doesn't introduce himself or ask my name, doesn't say what he's about to do, just tells me rudely to sit down and says "you're being charged for this" I asked him to check if my navel piecing was still open or not and he rudely and roughly dealt with me attempting to shove and force the jewellery through when that's not what I asked for at all, I just wanted an opinion. If I wanted to do that I could've done it myself at home and not have had to pay. I felt a lot of skin ripping and I asked him to stop and he didn't. I ended up profusely bleeding. It hurt and still hurts now hours later worse than when I originally got my navel pierced. After all the pain and bleeding my piercing is still closed. He continued to go and get his piercing equipment when that's not what I wanted at all. I Literally just wanted to know if a piercing would be closed after a week if I had it for a year, I didn't even want him to even touch it I just wanted him to verbally tell me. And when he started to shove it in I clearly said wait no stop, he didn't stop, he just acted majorly annoyed and refused to speak English to me. He had the nerve to say "take a card" on my way out. I don't want your card buddy. This place is a joke and run by a bunch of unprofessional teenagers, who clearly have no idea what they're doing. He ripped a lot of skin and seriously injured me I came away hurt bleeding and feeling sick about how I was treated. I'm not a difficult person at all but I refuse to be treated like this and remain silent. Do not come here, save your money and dignity and take your business elsewhere.

My husband and I were in town for a hockey game and decided to get matching tattoos of our wedding coordinates. We got in at 2:30 and were out by 4:30. Our tattoos took maybe 30 mins each (and that's an exaggeration) and we were charged as if we sat for 2 hours. We paid $260 for an hour tattoo sitting (it was more like 20 mins each). A bit of a rip off. I don't know any artist that charges from the time you walk in to the time you walk out. And not like it was a custom tattoo or complicated. We were told initially that it was going to be $100-$150 per person for a small/simple tattoo, which is fine but then it was changed to per hour. Tattoos turned out great but overpriced.

I went to anger ink to get a couple tattoos with their artist, Rooly. I'd like to first mention that I am very happy with the finished products and that Rooly is a skilled tattoo artist. That being said, I will not be returning to see him again. I was originally quoted for my small tattoo (a snake about an inch as wide wrapped around my bicep) being 2 hours at 150/hour (300$) when I met with him for my consultation. I think 150/hour is a bit pricey but worth it for a good product, in my opinion. When I showed for the appointment though, he told me that the price was now 500. I refused the price and reminded him of the original price we'd agreed on. He agreed and began working. After about an hour and a half, he stopped and told me he would leave it half finished until I came back and then charged me for the full two hours (300$). When I returned to get it finished he told me that it will be another 300$ and that he no longer works by the hour but rather by piece because he works "too fast". After haggling the price down to 240, I agreed because I did not want to have a tattoo done by two different artists or lose my deposit. The remainder of the tattoo took about 45 minutes to finish. In total I was charged almost double what I was originally quoted (540$ not including tip) for 2.25 hours and what is a relatively small tattoo. Rooly is a skilled tattoo artist but I will not be returning to see him, nor will I recommend anyone to like I was before.

I got three piercings done at the same time at the top on my cartillage. Everyone was very nice, I wasnt sure I wanted to do it at first but they were patient. It was done very fast. I actually got to chose my jewlery, unlike at adrenaline. He even have me three shorter barbells for free. *Edit* Just got a microdermal in my chest. He did it so fast and well. Perfectly placed. Took 5 seconds to do!

Only thing that matters for them is money, they have no value for the customer. (I can only speak about the piercing experience with the owner YAN DEL). He was blatantly rude and was rushing to get to a supper with his girlfriend (his own words lol) , which lead me to have a crooked piercing. What kind of professional acts that way? Never again. I can't speak for the other professionals, but don't get your piercing done with Yan Del.

Be careful! I think this store clearly does some good jobs every once in a while. My only experience is with their piercings and not their tattoos. It looks like a nice shop at a glance and everything seemed good to go, but I warn you that they are NOT prepared for the worse case scenario. If for some reason something bad (and I really hope it doesn’t happen to you) happens to you from a tattoo or piercing infection, it seems they will choose to cut you off cold turkey. I unfortunately got a major infection instantly after getting my web pierced that landed me in the hospital. It’s been a week and I’m still recovering. I contacted them TWICE and received NO response (I have edited this review to include the emails I sent them). I wasn’t even asking for a refund, just an explanation or if they have any policies in place for these moments. Just disappointed by the complete lack of follow through or acknowledgement that they caused me pain and I had to spend even more money for antibiotics. So be careful because this store is not prepared to handle your situation should anything go bad.

I was with a friend and called before showing up to know if they had places for us, the girl who answered was super nice, booked us an appointment the same day. We asked the price if we only had 2 small tattoos to do eah. She said the minimum is 80$ and 120$ for an hour. It was perfect for us. We arrived, she welcomed us and we showed our tattoos to our artist, he was ok polite, didn't really talk much. Very young. He did my friend's tattoo under 30 minutes and mine as well. He was concentrating a lot and did a very good job. We were very satisfied. We arrive at the counter and ask the price, the lady tells us 120$ each. We were baffled. It took him less than an hour for the BOTH of us, so why did we each pay the price for an hour? We obviously payed and didn't argue, but we probably won't be going back somewhere that expensive. But, although, the tattoos came out good.

1) I was clear on what I wanted to do as a tattoo with the artist prior to our meeting. I had informed him that if he didn't have any ideas about the artistic direction, I had no worries about going elsewhere. He told me that it was feasible and without problem he could realize it. I sent him several inspirations and recommendations. I even asked him again the same day of our meeting if everything was ok. He answered in the affirmative. 2) The day of the meeting, the artist tried to advance our meeting several times. However, I was working, so I suggested to him to do it another day. 3) Once on the spot, already that not many people wore masks, without saying hello the artist in question goes to look for another tattoer. He tells me that he can't do the tattoo in question and that someone else can do it. So, as a result, I took half a day to go there for no tattooing! Don't make people come if it is to cancel at the last second. Your customers work too!

Got an awesome tattoo done here yesterday. The artist, with my permission, even altered the design a bit, and I love it more than I thought I would. My brother got one as well and he gave us a (very small) discount, but managed to get both of ours done in less than an hour. The only thing I would say that bothered me was that he never introduced himself or chatted during the process...so I don`t even know his name to recommend him to anyone else! But he was very good. I got my fingers tattooed by Yan. Before even taking an appointment, he warned me about finger tattoos and told me how to take care of it. Once i got there, he took time to get to know me and brainstormed different ideas for my tattoo. The result is sick and what I exactly what i wanted! Also, this kick ass artist sketched my tattoo free hand, no stencils. The lines are straight as arrows! Awesome service and shop as expected. I highly recommend the shop and artists to anyone looking for a good tattoo. You'll pay for what you ask for and for quality tattoos! Definitely worth 5 stars! Bless!

I was in Montreal over the past three weeks for work and decided to check out Anger Ink for a new tattoo. At first Yan wasn't sure he would be able to fit me in but when he figured out I was only there for a short time he moved some things around and even came in on his day off to have a proper consultation. Yan is the best! Very chill guy and so talented. His line work is top notch and he is not 'heavy handed' at all. He tattooed me for 7 hours straight and I didn't even bleed! I even fell asleep through part of it! The tattoo is a Polynesian Octopus half sleeve cover up and I couldn't be happier with the results. I would fully recommend Anger Ink and especially Yan! I honestly feel even one star is too many. I couldn't and still can't believe how badly I was treated. was called paranoid, talked down to, and had to pull teeth just to get a somewhat answer on how sterilization was done there. He didn't even really know how an autoclave worked. I was treated like some idiot off the street that didn't belong and had shown up at the shop asking for a favor with my hands out. They didn't like when I asked about sterilization. I was made to feel like I was an unreasonable nuissance because I wasn't part of their click or one of their regulars, and I was doing my basic due dilligence. Ironically, I felt very judged. All they care about is the money. Of all the shops Anger ink was the most upsetting. One thing's for sure, it definately lives up to it's name. Deplorable and disgraceful.

Went once to consult about a piercing and was told to wait a few minutes and ended up waiting for over an hour an half and when they finally had time to see me the piercer was rude and condescending towards me in front of other staff and customers so I promptly left disappointed. Returned with my friend and the same piercer was again rude and snarky. My friends also commented how his piercing hurt much more than it had at any other place he had gone before. Would not recommend considering how many other great places there are in Montreal.

I got a piercing done here the piercing itself is great but the staff were extremely unprofessional. I felt like the process of the piercing was rushed and that my questions were rushed as well. The staff were lounging around and being very obnoxious and unwelcoming to all the customers that walked in. I do not reccomend going here, you're better off spending your money at a place that deserves it. As a young girl, I did not like the vibe that I got from the male staff, totally unprofessional. Went on a Saturday afternoon, as a walk in. The girl at the reception seemed extremely annoyed, but who cares about the reception girl right? Its a tattoo shop. So yea I had the chance to get Gabor. Really cool guy, he was able to put me in a comfortable mood really fast, knowing that it was my first tattoo. Really details oriented guy, he wasn't hesitating to give me his feedback, or what he thought was better, which I appreciated. He guided me through the whole thing, and made sure to inform me of the after care of the tattoo. In overall, I really liked my experience there. Although I had the impression that they were steeling a bit from me. They charged me 200$ for two small tattoos, and for 1h of work.... I really don't care about the money, but then again, I was able to tell when the girl at the reception (yes, her again) looked at my bill and laughed a little. So, what I'm saying here... Fire that girl and try to be a bit more OK with your prices, and don't steel from your customers plz?

The place is super clean and overall my tattoo and piercing were well done. However, the atmosphere is extremely cold. I came as a walk-in for a very small heart tattoo and an ear piercing (which is what they had told me to do) and when I informed them what I wanted it was as if nobody felt like helping me. I was the only client there, and what I wanted was maybe 20 minutes of work combined. They yelled to a tattoo artist in one of the stalls if he felt like helping me and he flat out said no. I understand that he was busy, but there is a way to say it politely in front of a client. Kind of makes you feel unwanted as a customer. They eventually had me wait for one of the other artists to come back from lunch, and when he did he informed me that the minimum price is 100$. My tattoo is literally the size of a penny, maybe even smaller, and took no longer than 30 seconds to do. While I did agree to the minimum price since I wanted it done that day, this is extremely high for a small tattoo. I have gotten other, larger quality tattoos done for much less. The tattoo artist (Rooly I think) was pushy and it felt like he was in a rush to get it over with. Overall, while the quality of the tattoos and the piercings are great, the atmosphere sucks if you're a walk-in. Small pieces should get the same warm experience as large ones.

Went here to get my 1st tattoo. They took some time to attend to me however once they did, getting the tatto itself didn't take long. Overall bad walk-in experience. Cold service from beginning to the end. Made to wait an hour for an artist that I was right there in front of us playing on his phone with ear buds on. Never looked up to acknowledge us. Then we got dumped to another artist, guessing our ideas weren’t good enough. We got tattooed by James Lightyear, while he did take time to customize the tattoos a bit the quality just isn’t up to par. Mine was a 3 blade airplane prop but was crooked (don’t know how he got that wrong with the stencil), outlines aren’t straight and botched shading. Gf’s tattoo was a simple black heart but isn’t symmetrical (again how with stencil?) and missing ink on the right side. Standard safety question answered by smart*ss remark, minimal chat, no cream on tattoo at the end and no healing instructions provided. Price was ok. To my local and tourist friends, take your time and money elsewhere.

I came for a walk in appointment to get my first tattoo done. I was very nervous because it was my first time but Yan made me feel very comfortable and was very knowledgeable about what to expect. I gave him a picture and he went above and beyond to making sure the tattoo looked perfect. Needless to say, I definitely recommend Yan to anyone looking to get a tattoo done. He was friendly, talented, and good at what he does. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. Will definitely be coming back here again!

We came from out of town and read up on local tattoo shops wanting matching tattoos. We had seen mostly promising reviews about Anger Ink so we called to see if they did walk ins. We called around 12 noon, right after the shop had opened to see if a walk in was available. The woman on the phone informed us she could make a same day appointment for 5pm with Kevin and took down the information about what we wanted to get. We showed up at 4:30 knowing there would be paperwork to fill out. When we got to the shop they had us fill out the waiver. We had been sitting at the bar for about 10-15 minutes when the receptionist came up and told us that unfortunately Kevin was working on a project that would take him longer than anticipated and that he would not be able to see us today. This was extremely upsetting since we are from out of town and unable to reschedule our appointment. If we had known earlier in the day that Kevin would have not been able to see us we would have tried to make alternative plans, because we were not informed until 5pm all other shops were full for the day. Definitely unimpressed.
