I've had two tattoos here now, Zach did one, which was some script from a card that I brought in, he took extra time to make sure it was absolutely perfect, my second was from Spencer, I went in with two friends, all getting the same tattoos and we had an amazing experience. He took the time to design something perfect. I'm planning on getting a couple more pieces and I will definitely be back!

Lisa is the sweetest! She did my first tattoo around 1.5 years ago and she was so incredibly patient and kind. I came in for a touch up today and she was just as amazing. Her art is beautiful and she went out of her way to make sure it was the piece I wanted. She also made sure to squeeze me in for an appointment. The shop is so cool too and has such a sweet and welcoming atmosphere! Would highly recommend paying them a visit :)

Also the location is meticulously cleaned and comfortable. The staff are wonderful and very easy to deal with. Their artists are all fully certified, as well they have a no drugs or alcohol policy.

My main artist being Caige, he's got a beautiful flash catalogue, wonderful at accommodating custom designs, and proficient in designing new pieces from just a few words on my end. Caige has a fast hand without losing quality and detail of the design. Truly a talented artist beyond his years, he has the sweetest personality and the best smile, he's really good at making you feel comfortable during the whole process, easy to talk to, has a very calm presence, and peaceful energy. The staff is friendly, and care about each other, as I have seen sometimes one will go for a tims run, and I presume they switch who goes each time. But they support one another which I find makes the atmosphere super positive and energetic to be in! Being greeted when you first walk in is like a breath of fresh air, just love it! My tattoo artist is Jonathan, and he is a fantastic artist, and I have known him to specialize in anime/manga and fantasy, but I was extremely happy that he was willing to do a Mickey and Minnie Tattoo for me! It turned out amazing, and I would definitely go back each time for my tattoos, because I trust in him and his creative art skills! I highly recommend him!

I sat down with Jonathan for a sweet little Pokemon piece last week and his enthusiasm was infectious. Jon is clearly one of those people that is incredibly passionate about his work and it was an absolute treat to be able to bring the piece of art to life. While he's still an apprentice, his lines are clean and his dedication is clear. I cannot wait to see what else he comes up with! Recently, my boyfriend bought me a nose ring that was too big for my nose. I called and asked if I would be able to come in and get someone to put it in for me. Without hesitation, the man said that I would be able to come in that same day. When we arrived, we were treated extremely well. The inside is beautiful with plants, sculptures, and exotic fish! The procedure was (relatively) pain-free and done very professionally and quick. Afterwards, when we went to pay, we were told that there would be non charge! Neither of us had ever been there before and we had no prior experiences with anyone here. Amazing staff, probably the best in Alberta (If not Canada!) We will definitely be returning!

Likely the most enjoyable tattoo experiences I have had yet. Shop gave off an incredibly relaxed and approachable vibe while being kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Staff was friendly and warm, easy to talk to. I had a piece done by Lisa and came out with an appointment for the next day as I enjoyed her work so much and wanted more. Both appointments were quick, clean and Lisa spared no effort to ensure the pieces were set up properly in size and position prior to starting work. They are so accommodating to the walk-ins, and ensure the bigger pieces are tweaked so you are in love with the finished product. I've gotten work from Lisa, Zack, and Caige and every experience is just as good as the last. The shop is super clean and welcoming, with each artist bringing their own charisma to each and every session. I couldn't recommend this shop enough - Lisa kills the floral and mandalas, and Zack exceeded every expectation with the elephants on my sleeve. I would highly recommend this shop -- you'll never want to go anywhere else after!

As I was getting the tattoo done, Zach & the other apprentices/artist that was there made sure that their clients, including me were well taken care of and comfortable. It's all fully healed now and looks wonderful. Update: I went back! I got another tattoo from Zach. I was blown away. He custom drew an image that means a lot to me and his execution was beautiful. The healed tattoo looks just as amazing healed as it did the minute after I got it. The amount of detail is AMAZING! It's going to be hard not to just keep getting tattoed by Zach. I would recommend him to anyone who wants something on their body that they'll love forever. Update 2: I cant stop going back to Zach! I gave him pretty much free reign on a hip tattoo I wanted. I named for three specific types of flowers and he definitely delivered. He made me so comfortable and put up a privacy screen so I wasnt exposed to the world. I started a larger project with Boeden in 2018 and NEVER had a problem with getting ahold or booking appointments. However, I have been trying to get ahold of Boeden via filled out your shop form/email/Instagram/calling the shop since July 2021 and nonetheless; I’ve had no contact or acknowledgment of answering my messages nor the courtesy to say whether if he will/will not complete my project. I understand that it is your prerogative to take projects that are a fit for your artistry style & client load. However, what I don’t agree with is the lack of professionalism and communication to at least inform your client that you are not willing to finish your project. I’ve supported both you and Lisa since the Joker days, spoke very highly of you all as artist(s) and a shop. I hate to take this route but I feel that my concerns as your RETURNING client either slipped through the cracks or you simply don’t care. I am giving the benefit of the doubt and will simply take my business elsewhere to finish your project and start the next large scale pieces at another shop.

Lisa: I had a fine lined, minimalistic piece done on the back of my arm of old English numbers in red and not only was the experience itself quick and painless but the professionalism, cleanliness and comfort she creates in the space while working is priceless, putting you at ease, chatting, answering any question, you can see the care and detail she puts on every piece, she’s a lovely person inside and out! She definitely makes you feel like the most important person in the world during your session. If you are scared of pain, don’t be with Lisa, she has a very gentle hand. Boeden: Bo did a traditional Japanese, full sleeve onto chest piece in 2 sessions, minimal color, each sit down was about 7 hours and to say his work is quality is an understatement, the speed, technique, creativity, detail and passion behind his work is proof within itself that he is a master at his craft. Being long sessions he was very accommodating, patient and understanding, asking about pain, making sure I had bathroom breaks, a breather and good conversationalist without losing focus and open to suggestions and change if necessary, my go to guy for Japanese inspired work & realism he even did an amazing job on covering up a small script tattoo under it all. The shop: the aesthetic of the shop is one of the best parts, you get lost in the artwork posted around, you can see the love, passion and respect they show to tattoo culture, Japanese, Asian, culture and not to mention how clean and relaxing the environment is. The whole crew is friendly and approachable, no ego, just love for the art. Very accommodating and strategic in handling the COVID-19 complications. I highly recommend skull and lotus tattoo to all of my friends and curious people I meet asking about my work, in the Calgary/Vancouver area, it’s worth the trip and the money, you won’t regret it!
