My wife and I booked with Jessica last year and it was a great experience in every way, she was awesome. Comfortable atmosphere, nice people, clean and some amazing work. If you haven't already, check out capitals portfolios and you will see what the good buzz is about. I've already booked again with her to start a sleeve in the fall and we will both be booking more work in the future at capital!

The first two tattoos that I had done at Capital Tattoo were amazing. My third third tattoo this past October however, was extremely disappointing and will be my last at this shop. I had selected a piece of flash from Dustin and asked if he could match my cats markings to the piece of flash that he had drawn up. He said that he could. I sent him pictures and was pretty excited, even if in the end, only the face markings matched. He was able to get me in quickly; a few days after I had contacted him. Dustin pushed back my appointment at the last minute by a few hours because he tried to squeeze another tattoo in before my session and wouldn't be done in time. I was told by Jessica that this isn't uncommon. This was the first time I had experienced such an occurrence. The session itself, wasn't bad. Dustin was pleasant to talk to and had a light hand. I was getting my shin tattooed and it felt good. We finished up, but something looked a little off. I couldn't place it and figured it was just because it was a fresh tattoo. I went home. I didn't realize until evening when I was cleaning the tattoo and thinking about getting Dustin to do a matching tattoo on my other shin for my other cat, that the bridge of the cats face wasn't filled in. Which is why I had thought the tattoo looked off. After it healed and I asked if Dustin could touch it up, he told me that it would be $160 and he would darken up the face IF he thought it would look good. Things devolved from there. I have never been treated that way by a tattoo artist or an owner before. I thought that maybe it was just me taking it personally. But I've talked to other tattoo artists, other tattoo owners and other people who have been tattooed...they all agreed that my complaints and requests were valid. Once the lock down is over, I'll be looking at getting someone else to touch up the cats face.

Definitely average. Basically needed a flash from the Internet done. I understand artistically these might not be the most fun for the artist but tattoos are not about the artist and rather about the customer. After a couple days healing I'm able to get a good look at it. Outline lines are not straight, they look pretty shaky. Shading does go outside the outline in spots as well. Once it's completely healed I'll be looking to get it fixed somewhere.

last time i went there 3 years ago they had done an amazing job on my tattoo on my right forearm, clean organized ans good service. however its been years since i have last been there as i go back oct 7 th for my next tattoo with corey,so we will see how good they maintain there reputation as i have been to many other tattoo shops and they failed miserable. other than that they are amazing.

It was an awesome experience. I've never been into a tattoo shop to get a tattoo before and I'm lucky to have gotten in so soon. I love my tattoo, the shop is clean and every one is so friendly ! I would definitely go to Capital Tattoo again & I do tell everyone where I got my tattoo. I'm skeptical about going somewhere else for a tattoo, so I think ill just get on the waiting list for Capital (:

Met with Kyiel for a consult for my asian dragon tattoo. Can't say how glad I am to have found a different artist who was excited to work with me on this project. Kyiel insulted the design I wanted, was rude and far too arrogant for my business. I can appreciate that the artist will always know more than me when creating and tattooing (as I'm not a tattoo artist by any means), however I did not feel respected as a potential client. A simple and polite "I think something like this would look better" would have been nice. I will never go to Capital as long as they hire people who clearly do not want customers.

Professional service. It was my first tattoo and Poppy walked me through exactly what she was doing, making sure I was comfortable. Relaxed environment, and remember - it's 18+, expect others to treat it that way. I was in and out within an hour, and even asked for one little extra bit freehanded, with no hesitation from the artist. Will be returning.

I went in yesterday for a cover up tattoo from autumn dancer, and it turned out stunning! The shop was clean and everyone was friendly. She kept a conversation (while I could still focus on words) and when I had to focus on not moving she didn't keep trying to push me to talk. She was so nice and friendly, and made the experience of getting stabbed 1000's of times over a 5.5 hour period enjoyable. Keep up the good work!

Its been a long time since I got a tattoo here but I did have a good experience when I got my tattoo done there. I wish I remember the guys name becasue he was really good. He was very professional and took his job/artwork seriously. What I wanted was something that a lot of people may call "questionable " and he put up a pretty good argument to urge me to really think about it and if I was making a decision I was going to regret. Tattoos aren't easily erasable so I really respect that he did that. I just wish I would have listened lol. The tattoo artist however, did an excellent job.

Booked in for a tattoo and was originally told if I had to change or cancel the appointment I could get my $100 deposit back. I called a week after to cancel, which was still at least month in advance, and the artist would not refund my deposit. Thanks Cory Leeson hope you spend it on something nice. What a joke...

I highly recommend this place, all of the artists in this place are extremly skilled and very friendly. Spent about 2 hours here getting my 1st tattoo and lee did an excellent job. If you are looking for a great tattoo place this is definitely the place to go!

Got my first tattoo there! I was definitely a little nervous- the type of tattoo I requested would require a highly experienced artist. It was suggested that I go to capital tattoo and im so happy that I did. Devin was very kind and reassuring throughout the whole process. Super positive place for a first timer- im absolutely in love with the outcome too!

I LOVE CAPITAL TATTOO. I get tattooed by Jess! Ella hablas español y es muy bonita! (Aaaand she's also an amazing tattoo artist) The artists at Capital are among the top artists in the city, let alone Canada! The studio is sparkling clean with a very relaxed feel. Covered in great art, each artist has a semi-private booth. This is an accessible studio with room for those with reduced mobility.

While it took a long time to get in for an appointment, it was easy to see why. When you have the great service and quality or artwork that you get at Capital, it's no wonder appointments have to be booked so far ahead. I made a special request of Jess as I gave her a relatively unique idea and asked her to put something together for me. It was not what I expected at all and COMPLETELY AWESOME. Far better than I every could have imagined. After approval of the art, it was coming in to get it done. Capital was very clean and well kept. Extremely professional. Jess figured it would take about 6-7 hours to complete and while I was able to sit for quite some time after 4 and a half hours... I couldn't take it any longer. Jess was very understanding and had me come in just under a month later to finish up. 3 hours into the second sitting it was complete and I have a tattoo that I get complimented on virtually every time someone sees it. (back right calf) I have recommended Capital Tattoo to EVERYONE who talks about getting a tattoo with me, and I will definitely be coming back for another one in the future.

Autumn is a great artist, she had done my first tattoo (thigh piece) back in may and she made me feel so comfortable I didnt even feel much pain from the tattoo. Amazing work, so excited for her to add more onto my thigh piece Jan 31. Very proffessional, asked her if she could start on my sleeve and she straight up told me that she doesnt feel comfortable doing smething that isnt her style of tattooing so she reffered me to another talented artist at another shop and that is something I greatly appreciate! Shes not just in it for the money, she truly cares about her clients

I went in, went over a design idea and put a deposit down and set up a date for the first sitting. The tattoo artist ignored all my attempts at contacting him and never sent a design like promised about a month before the sitting. He never even sent the drawing and never followed through on the appointment. Taking someone's money and not providing a service isn't even bad business, it's not conducting business at all! I would never recommend this place to anyone. Update 8/18/14- Jessica was prompt and courteous in issuing a refund. And her staff at the front was very professional in doing so. It's unfortunate to book a sitting six months in advance and spend significant time deciding on an artist in order to ensure you have a product you will be happy with(for a long time!). However I appreciate that it was concluded professionally so thank you to the owner and front staff.
