What can I say, these guys are magicians. They were able to get out stains from dress shirts that I would have sworn were due for a date with the garbage can and instead made them look like new! I have been using TLC for the past 4 years and will never go anywhere else! The facility is newly renovated, clean/organized, quality machines and the staff is super kind, professional and accommodating. Not to mention, they offer incredible specials/discounts during certain hours/days of the week that you will not find at other establishments of its kind. I'm incredibly particular about my laundry. I've tried nearly every pick-up and delivery service and nothing was up to my standards. I was so discouraged by the lack of care my clothes were treated with. Clothes came back damp and moldy, or smelling like cigarette smoke. Faded colors, holes, missed delivery times. I hate fabric softener and would request it not be used, but many services ignore, or don't offer customization options. I'd taken to sitting in the laundromat for hours because it was preferable to another expensive disappointment. ENTER THE WONDERFUL TODD LAYNE. I can hardly believe someone loves taking care of clothes as much as me. I've used them a handful of times and communication is great, price is good, and my clothes are clearly treated with respect. Folding is exceptional too!!! Highly recommend.

I took my Girlfriends red Canada Goose to the shop after doing a lot of online research. This cleaner did a pretty good job getting the dirt on the edges off the jacket. If you look very closely, you could still see some dirt blended into the material but that’s inevitable given the dirt has been on there for months. They tried their best to avoid discoloration while getting the maximum amount of dirt built up off. And the service was on time and reasonably priced.

They didn't deliver when they said they would, and when I called to check on our clothing, I was told their records showed it had been delivered. Our doorman had no such record. After a bit of searching he found that it indeed had NOT been delivered and it was still sitting in the store. After that I don't have much faith that our belongings won't be lost. Once it arrived, everything was wrinkled and slightly damp. It costs way too much money for laundry service for it to be this bad.

I've been using Todd Layne Cleaners to do my wash and fold as well as my dry cleaning, for years. My laundry always comes out smelling nice, doesn't shrink and is finished quickly. They do a good job on dry cleaning and always manage to get my stains out. The staff is friendly and helpful and they are open late during the week and even on Saturday's and Sunday's, which is a rare find. I recommend you give them a try.

Todd Layne Cleaners did an amazing job on my wedding dress! Even if you never plan to wear it again, your wedding dress requires special care and attention. Todd and Alissa were very careful and thorough when looking at my dress, veil and custom made lace jacket. Todd recommended that they simply and gently steam the lace jacket since there were no stains so that it could be preserved. He then looked at the dress, which needed some TLC to get some of the stains out of the hem of the dress, without over treating the dress. My dress and jacket turned out great, and were given to me in a dress box (that had to be special ordered because the train was kind of big and fluffy). Todd really took his time with me and gave my dress the special attention it needed. Getting your wedding dress taken care of is a bit daunting, and prices run the gamut from sketchily inexpensive to crazy expensive. Todd gave me a fair price as well. I highly recommend Todd Layne Cleaners for their personal touch and thorough, careful work!

BEST OF THE BEST!!! I have been looking for a good dry cleaner for a while now and my friend recommended me to this dry cleaner so I decided to try it out hoping I will get better service compared to my previous ones. And I would say this is one of the best I have seen. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, the service was amazing, they even gave me multiple option as to how I wanted my clothes to be washed which is very rare for dry cleaners to do. The best thing is they also do delivery which is so convenient for me. The result was amazing, there were no stain or weird odor on my clothes, they looked like brand new in short, great service and amazing people. I definitely recommend you guys to check it out, trust me you will not be disappointed.

I have been sending my laundry and dry cleaning to Todd Layne Cleaners since they opened and have always had a great experience. I recently noticed that they also do Barbour jacket rewaxing and decided to bring one of my jackets for rewaxing. For anyone that owns a Barbour - you know how attached you become to the jacket. I own three and I usually send them back to the factory via Orvis for rewaxing and repairs every other year. I just picked up my Barbour the other day and it looks fantastic. The wax coating looks and feels like new! I could not be more impressed!

I have been using Todd Layne Cleaners for the past 6 Years. I have a great relationship with everyone is there as everyone is really friendly. In 6 years, I had 2 small problems but they always resolved it. I love the fact that they clean and fold my cloths on premise and wash only my cloths, and not mix it with other customers clothing like other places do. I would highly recommend them.

Original review: Stay away from this place. They mixed up an expensive suit and sent me the wrong one, and after 10 calls when I finally got my actual suit back it was ruined. I don’t know what they did with it, but it now has waves/wrinkles on the lapel and the breast pocket which won’t go away. Atrocious. Edit after response from the business: Replying with a presidential “FAKE” to customer complaints does not lead to more confidence in this business. I cannot believe they actually delivered me the wrong suit, and want to stick to their guns on this. I suppose you can either have a successful business or a vindictive attitude toward your own customers. Cannot have both These guys messed up my order and when asked “Can you tell me where my suit is?” they kept evading, never directly answering the simple question, instead it was constantly “which suit do you have?” After having that experience we genuinely did not feel they would address the issue on the damage they had caused. It would be more of the same defensiveness being exhibited in abundance here.

After having an awful night's sleep and allergic reaction after washing my laundry at a local laundromat (due to chemical- contamination in the washing machines)I needed to treat my bedding with hypoallergenic detergent, in a hypoallergenic facility. Todd and Allissa have separate machines and protocols for those of us that are sensitive to the dyes and chemicals in regular detergent. They have separate washing machines they treat with organic compounds so there is no contamination All in all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is sensitive to dyes and detergents- one of the FEW places in the NYC- 5 borough area that knows how to handle this. Over the last few months, I've started using TLC and the service has been great! The staff is very professional and courteous as well as detail oriented. I had them clean my suede jacket and they did a great job. They pick up and deliver my dry cleaning in a timely manner which is so very helpful as I live over 20 blocks away from the store. Recently, the staff did me a favor on a rush job to have some shirts dry cleaned for my boyfriend. They turned the order around in a day! Now that's service!

I am not using Todd cleaners for long but so far I really like their services. I really appreciate the fact that they are really committed to offer a genuine eco-friendlier alternative to all the other laundry services available. But yes, I am also willing to pay a few extra bucks to have my clothes washed the way I would do it if I had a machine at home. They accept to take the wire hangers back to reuse them and avoid unnecessary wastes. Same for the packaging, I send and receive back my shirts in my reusable plastic sheath; no excessive individual plastic cover bag. They are really professional and detailed oriented. They specifically asked me how I wanted them to clean my laundry (separate colors, what type and which brand of soap to use etc) and have been consistent since. No mix and no issues. They pick and deliver on time and all the personnel I have dealt with have been friendly and professional. They also promptly answer your questions by phone or email. I am not giving a 5 stars rating (yet) because I have not dealt with them for long enough but expect to keep on being as satisfied as I am now.

After multiple deliveries of OTHER peoples underwear, t-shirts and miscellaneous articles of clothing; after they lost several pieces of clothing and never took ownership of such and after excuses about both of the above, I am moving on. I strive to give people grace: running this kind of business can't be easy in Manhattan and they occasionally responded with insight in a timely manner; however, more often than not, they just justified their disorganization and unprofessionalism with lame excuses. For example, delivering the wrong laundry to me was rationalzied not as conflating my order, but merely placing the wrong invoice on my laundry. No joke, kids! Whatever you call it, the wrong clothing was left at my abode and, in the process of my retrieving the correct order, multiple items (of significant value) were lost. Never an apology or care for even feigning customer concern. There's just way too many other organic dry cleaning places that it's no longer worth waiting for this cast of jokesters to get their act together.

Todd Layne Cleaners is a lazy person’s best friend! I hate doing laundry myself but luckily I found these guys. They even wash my clothes the way I would do them myself. Believe me when I say that I’m EXTREMELY PARTICULAR about how I want my clothes done. I have sensitive skin and they use unscented detergent (I think it’s called 7th Generation?) and they even hang dry my gym clothes! Another thing I love about them is that they do green dry cleaning for decent prices.

Worse dry cleaning experience I ever had. They ruined three expensive blouses of mine and have refused to compensate me, despite the claim I submitted and their admission that the blouses were not the same as when they got them. Now they are avoiding my phone calls all together. If they had just made an effort to compensate me in some way I would have probably kept my business with them but because of the way I've been treated I will do everything I can to keep people away from them. This is the worst treatment I have ever received from a vendor. Take your business elsewhere!!!!

I've grown increasingly frustrated over the past several months with the service I've experienced while using some of the local cleaners. In particular, I'm often pressed for time and although I would prefer to do my own wash, I just don't have the time. I found myself sacrificing the little spare time I have to do my wash on the weekends and venturing to different locations to find a good, if not decent dry cleaner. I googled "upper east side cleaners", given I'm relatively new to the neighborhood, and I read many good reviews for toddlaynecleaners so I figured I'll give it a shot. I'm very picky about how I like my clothes laundered so I dropped off a small load at first and I've been using them ever since. Best part is I can drop my dry cleaning off as well and I live several blocks away so they even come to my building and do both the pick up and delivery. The service is the BEST!!!! so much so I felt compelled to write this long and informative review... 5 STARS!

Oh my god. I have lived in New York City for years. I have a very thick skin and would NOT describe myself as a sensitive person. Their owner actually reduced me to TEARS over the phone. Not only is their service so beyond horrible, but the owner is the nastiness, most condescending jerk I have ever encountered. And I say that as a New Yorker. We know bad behavior pretty well. This place tops it all. I had a wash and fold order that not only arrived 2 hours late at 10:00 at night, but the laundry had not been folded!! It had been thrown in a bag and came completed wrinkled!! They charged my card ahead of time and also neglected to give me the first time customer discount which they advertised on their website and told me I would receive. I had sent in dry cleaning in at the same time, so I called and asked if a discount could be applied to the dry cleaning as well as the "first two orders" promo. The owner not only REFUSED to give me a discount for the mistake OR the promotion that was advertised on their website and that I was told I would receive when I first called to make my order, but also proceeded to berate me in the most disgusting fashion that I actually started CRYING on the phone!! I have never been so degraded by someone I have never met. Absolutely awful. Do not come here. Bad service, bad attitude.

High quality dry cleaning performed for a reasonable price, however it was the customer service that was exceptional. I required dry cleaning of a suit prior to interstate travel & left it to the very last minute. Rather than being told I left it too late (which they had every right to do!), the team kindly arranged to have it shipped to an interstate address when it didn’t come back in time. All this for a first time customer. This will, without a doubt, be my go to dry cleaner on the UES!

We were in NYC for just over a month and used Todd Layne for all our wash and fold, and dry-clean, needs.They were always prompt with pick up and drop off. They provided separate bags for wash & fold/wash and hang/dryclean. They used unscented products, as requested. For the most part, the laundered clothes were cleaned well, except for a couple of spot stains which weren't pre-treated. But had I written a note or called/texted to describe the clothing that needed that, it would have been done (I was always in a rush, and didn't do so). I had a couple of times when the wash and hang didn't come back with the wash and fold, but as soon as I notified them, that was rectified. Overall, I'd highly recommend Tod Layne to address your cleaning needs!

I like them overall but my last order had clothes in it that weren't mine mixed with my clothes. I understand that things happen but it makes me wonder if my clothes are getting washed with other peoples. Also, they took longer to wash the clothes than I was told it'd be which was kind of an inconvenience.

They do a great job of reproofing wax Barbour Jackets. I brought them a jacket I bought off Ebay and it almost looks like new after they reproofed it. Much easier and quicker than sending it out using other reproofing services.

I have been using TLC for about 3 years now and I walk 5 blocks every week passing by multiple other cleaners just to get to TLC. They do a great job with all my dry cleaning and take good care of my dress shirts as well. But the reason I confidently drop off my favorite gear is: Carlos. Today was a prime example of the exceptional customer service Carlos provides. I dropped off my tux in September and unfortunately something went wrong with the fabric during the dry cleaning process. Carlos consequently spent the next 2.5 months trying to find a tailor that could fix the issue. He personally looked after my tux until it was done and delivered it today. It was as good as new. I am not sure if you will find anyone in the industry that will look after your clothes the way Carlos does. I am incredibly grateful for the rare quality of customer service and for always going above and beyond, Carlos. Thank you.

If you want a high quality wash and fold in the Upper East Side then look no further. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Laundry is typically ready next day and pressed shirts take three. Be sure to pick up a dum dum lollipop on the way out.

I was first skeptical to leave my Canada goose in the hands of someone else. I got my coat on 2017 and haven’t washed it for 3 years ! I had some tuna oil stain and just regular dirt from never properly taking care of it. Based on reviews and probably being one of the few cleaners that specializes in Canada goose, I took the chance with Todd Layne. I was ready to buy a new coat if this came out damaged like horror stories I read about. I was wrong !!! My CG looks fresh, in the sense that it actually looks clean !! So glad that Todd Layne cleaners handled my coat well. I’m so impressed and will come back yearly lol. Don’t wait years to get your CG clean, definitely trust this team of cleaners.

tried dropping off 25 lb of laundry for the first time. Mixed laundry but included expensive travel clothing. Service was efficient and friendly. However, requested no scent, tide free detergent. This was written on order and bill. Laundry came back reeking of grape bubble gum scent. Rewashed all laundry in my own machine and re-dried. Still reeking of grape bubble gum scent. Called the store--they admitted mistake. I was not offered either a refund of the laundry bill or reimbursement for some clothes I will have to discard due to the scent. I will never use this company again.

I have been using Todd Layne cleaners for years! It took me a very long time to find a place in Manhattan that was not only professional but also accommodating. My clothes are always clean and folded nicely. They are friendly, kind, and professional. I had surgery and they were so accommodating and helpful. They would place my laundry bag on my chair bc I couldn’t lift more than 5 lbs. Deliveries were always on time. I highly recommend this place!!

Friendly and accommodating staff, and very good service. I've been a customer for about a year and a half and have only encountered one issue (a shirt was misplaced--but after I called, they found it and ran it over to my apartment immediately). They always come within the window they say they will, and if my requested time doesn't work, they are quick to notify me and reschedule a better window. I think the prices are reasonable for the service you get--many of my clothes are delicate and I have never had a garment ruined with Todd Layne. Would recommend to anyone living on the UES.
