This place is bar none the best place to get men's wear in the City. Without costing an arm and a leg, you can get a suit made for you that it's going to wow everyone you meet.
Value: other places in the City may make you a suit for cheaper, but you are going to get something glued together and not stitched, which will look worse. Other places will make perhaps a "nicer" suit, but they will cost between 3 and 10 times more than a Kent Wang, and frankly, you cannot tell the difference.
The Experience: the shop itself is a perfect metaphor for what can Kent Wang is: the best kept secret in New York. It is on the thirteenth floor of a nondescript building in Chelsea/Garment District. There you will meet Aaron who will show you book after book of fabrics and will walk you through the process of customization. He has an incredible depth of knowledge of suiting and makes sure that you are getting something that's going to impress.
Creativity: most custom suit places in New York make you purchase fabric from them, but at a significant mark-up. Not Kent Wang. To my knowledge, this is the only place where, at no extra charge, you can bring in your own wool and they will make a suit out of it. (Of course KW offers their own selections of fabrics on which they also do not charge a mark-up). This lets you be as creative as you want to be.
Bottom line: everyone who works at an office should stop by to see Aaron. You won't be disappointed.
