Very good assistance with makeup counter
Service was poor and it is not wheelchair friendly. Sad state when the disabled are treated like dogs.
Decent selection of clothing and other items and a large 2 floor sales area. However even on busy days like Saturday, limited staff at cash, long lines and no one to help you on the floor. Fitting rooms are limited and with one staff available to work cash, you wait forever to get one. Also rooms are disgustingly filthy. The one I was in had blood on the wall from someone's bloody nose it looked like.

Worst customer service. Would give 0 star if possible. Girls are busy in chatting with each other and just address to the person who looks rich and white skin. Feel ignored and after standing for 15 min they saw us and did billing.

Went here earlier today for some Polo Ralph Lauren shirts. The cashier Manson was incredible. So incredible that I actually decided to buy another Ralph Lauren item off him. He was great. Planning on coming back to Fairview Bay in the near future!

Went to buy a Dyson hairdryer and the price in store was $50 more than it was on the hbc website. When we questioned, they allowed for the price adjustment...but the fact that their store prices are more than online for the same product seems crooked. Make sure to double check the price of what you buy in store.

The Bay is my favourite place for shopping. I get most of my clothing and appliances from the Bay. They fave a wide array of midrange selections for clothing and houseware which fit my taste. The quality is good and the pricing is very reasonable especially during their sales period. Being a regular customer, I know where to find the things I'm looking for. Don't expect to easily find someone to help you. As with all businesses, cost cutting has led to fewer staff in the stores.
Largest mall in the Sydney area. There is a decent variety of stores and they have fared better than some other malls in this end of the province in regards to keeping places open.

These two stars are only for a nice lady whose name is Fatima or Fatemeh in the cash register. I had to return something two weeks ago and she managed the return process wisely; however, one of the manager who was passing by in purple shade hairs, gave ma a hard time that I should not have returned a defective item I bought online! I tried to be nice to her but it is so unprofessional to disrespect your customers to be honest! I hope, she sees this review and reconsider her attitudes towards the customers!
I drove to the bay to purchase a women’s perfume for my wife. Sold out. So the next day I smartened you and called another store to check on stock. They never answered and after 5 minutes of ringing I gave up. Hmmmm. Why do bricks and mortar retail stores close.

We have our gift registry through the bay and have chosen Fairview as our pickup place for our gifts when people buy something for us. I went to pick up items that I have been emailed about being ready for pick up. When I went to thegift registry section no one was there. I went to the nearest cashier desk to ask for assistance and was ignored entirely (she even placed a box right in front of my feet and still didn't acknowledge me). I asked her then if there was someone who could assist me. She passed me off to the next girl that had just walked out from the back. When I explained that I was there to pick up my gifts the second lady told the First Lady this again. Then the First Lady turned and said to me oh the gift registry person has left for the day. They will be back tomorrow. Why is it that no one else in the store is equipped to help with this if the only person who is is able to leave before the store (and mall) closes??? Aside, these ladies are working in customer service.... and are also human beings..... where is the kindness, morals and compassion??? To be treated and talked down to the entire time after waiting patiently and politely asking if there was someone available for help that she could direct me to it infuriates me to be treated so poorly. No one ever deserves to be.

Hudson's Bay steals money. Horrible shopping experience, ruined my wife's birthday. Bought a gift card, spent it, most of the order was cancelled. No refund has been made. Support is terrible. Unprofessional, don't understand what's going on and how to fix it. Literally on the phone with them for half an hour listening to waiting music.

This place has to LEARN what professional proper customer service is. For one, they do more following you around than getting their jobs done. Secondly, its a crime to ask a question. Its either " over there" or " I'm not sure" or nothing at all. If you're black entering this Hudson Bay, they assume you're stealing and have people on you 24/7. Its hilarious to me, because that's a Human Rights case that can open once someone complains especially if he/she was just shopping around in peace and had undercovers, workers and security continuously following them. This Hudson Bay is absolutely waste compare to Scarborough town Centre, Eaton Centre and Sherway Gardens. They need better workers who know how to say hello and smile and also more cashiers, so people don't have to wait 20 minutes to purchase an item!

This is a large department store, although I find it a little more expensive than other stores. There are some good items on sale from time to time.
I have been shopping with Hudson Bay for almost 5 years but this is first time leaving reviews for Employees . I am glad to say the customer service and professionalism by Ast Manager Mohammed was excellent. I selected an item which was on flash sale and i left it at service desk for hold till the next day but the register laday did not mention that the price will change the next day. I went back the next day and the item read regular price. I spoke with lady on register Fahimeh or Fatimeh and she suggested to speak with Manager. Only negative is Manager could not verify from any one working a day prior that the luggage items were on flash sale which is a failure of communication and record keeping but another employee Lauren verified that it was in fact was on sale . Manager did not wait another second and approved the flash sale price right away even though he did not have to do it . This is taking customer is right to next level and putting the customer first. I never had to experience the service in hudson bay as i just go there and buy stuff. This is the first time and the bay really delivered. I thank Mohamme(a)d,Lauren and Fatimeh and keep up the good work.
Mehhh.... I walk around the bay a lot because I work next door. Sometimes I randomly find something nice or cool.. But for the most part I leave feeling unimpressed. Unimpressed by; the styles or lack of, the prices, the unhelpful staff that I've encountered so far, I'm sure there are some good ones... Maybe? I mean, it IS Fairview mall..
It just so happened to be a Bay Day and it was quite busy. The sales associates constantly had customers asking questions or ones waiting in line to pay. I could see that the sales associates were starting to get a little frazzled but I think they handled it well. Customers just need to realize that they can't jump queues and should patiently wait like everyone else.
The manager yelled at me and threatened to call the cops because I wanted to take a different exit a few minutes before the store closed, he forced my family to take the wrong door and it took us an hour to find out car because of it. Awful service, and overpriced bad quality items.
I can usually get great deals and sale items. The stores are looking tired, carpets dirty, lots of clothes everywhere. It looks like a discount warehouse. Not the Bay I am used to. So much potential....I feel badly for the staff. What is the future of the Bay?

Went in to pick up some new clothes for an upcoming event. While there were lots of staff milling about (mostly standing around talking with each other) - and very few other customers - getting any assistance was like pulling teeth. I eventually gave up, and went down the hall to TipTop.

Excellent one stop shop for all clothing you need. Recently, the prices of parfums almost doubled, which is a pity and difficult to understand why.
Memories of a more beautiful shop space not replicated presently and I know the ravages of Covid has a huge hand to play in it.

When they have a sale it's great but waiting to pay is very frustrating. I think management should get out of their offices chairs and walk around the store to see what's happening. You have one cashier attending to a long line up and it's the same person looking after returns why for heavens sake they don't have a cashier for sales and one for returns after they are finished with the returns they can help out the other cashier with the paying customers.
I placed and order for a suitcase 2 days ago and selected and payed extra for the one day shipping.. After calling numerous times I was told that I would not receive my item for more than a week. Which is false advertisement, because on the website they give you the option to pay for one day shipping. I cancelled my order and I do not recommend ordering anything online for the bay as they are very unorganized and cannot guarantee when you will revive the item you pay for.

There are lots of nice clothes in here from luxury retailers, however some staff are bordering useless/rude. I came in to buy a housecoat for my mother for mothers day and needed help locating the area where housecoats are kept. The first staff upstairs told me where to go (downstairs and near the lingerie section), cool, all good so far. When I get down there, I'm still lost, I don't shop lingerie so I don't go to this corner of the store. I find a staff in the lingerie section, wait until she is done checking out a customer then ask for help finding the housecoats. She points in the general direction of them. I walk in that direction with no luck. And so, I don't know this store. It's a department store with 1000 of each item. So I ask her to show me exactly where they are. Well apparently that was too much to ask because she "already showed me!" No a good experience, especially given that people come in for mothers day sales where they can (potentially) purchase hundreds of dollars worth of clothing.
Horrible customer service. Called their phone ans their options are misplaced. Instead of routing me to mens fragrances they sent me to opticians ans the optician department said they couldn't help transfer me. Will just buy from amazon going forward.
Every year my husband and I go to this location for some big sales on their suits and we always deal with a woman named Alice! She is so kind and helpful every single time and she does not hesitate to help ever. Alice youre the best!! We only go to this location because of Alice that works in the mens suits department.
Always a great place to shop ! Great incentives for people who are loyal customers. Associats are always courteous and professional. I stop at the Bay often all of them. Anytime I am near one I pop in to check them out. Keep up the good work Bay . Your doing customers right .

Great sales on boxing day ! I love this store but, the very frustrating thing is when there are no people on the floor who you can ask for assistance. The service desk people are very busy with customers who are standing in long lines and you have no one to help you out.
Closest thing Canada has to a national retailer. Purchased a pair of Dockers today for 38% of the original price. I have a real nose for bargoons

I bought a Nespresso Hill crest branch and they told I can pick it up in Fairview branch and received email to confirm availability of it. When I received there about an hour later just after asking the apparatus I received an email indicating purchase has been canceled. It seems they can cancel anything any time they want. unfortunately it is not possible to choose zero star for them.

Spent over $1000 for a birthday gift that I was told will be delivered within a week. They ended up selling out the item and then blamed it on covid? No matter how many times I asked for assistance all they did was tell me I'm sorry. Extremely frustrating experience and clearly they don't care about how I feel. Unbelievable service, and I regret shopping here.

Nice clean store but prices are very high on most items
I am starting to get very disappointed with the store. It is getting extremely pricey but not the right assortment. I have also realized that their stores are really messy now, their service has gotten much worse, and overall the store has gone downhill. I would not recommend it to someone.
Worst customer service faced. First the counter was occupied for returns for 15 mins. Then other counter had only one person. We bought a winter cap which showed 30% off. The rep said its regular price. We went till the place where it said 30% and in very small below it it said excluded item. She herself had difficulty to read it. Then she said will give you a courtesy discount this time. And once billed she says "I hope you don't return the product after using it " and felt so rude. An old white lady said to her never say that again to anyone. Worst experience never going there again.

The suits department has the worst staff I have ever deal with. I went there two days in a raw trying to get a suit. The first day I went 45 minutes before closing and asked the person who was there to help me find the right size and he answered me rudely that I have to come again another day as there is no time to figure out what is my size as it is "a long process" he said. So I went back the second day morning and I find another person there so I asked him to help me find the right size so he pulled a suit and asked me to try it out, in my way to the fitting room i grabbed a shirt to try it with the suit but it was not the right size so i asked him to bring another size so he measured my body and asked me to wait a little bit but he took to long, after 15 minutes of waiting I got of the fitting room to see him helping another customer!!
Great Customer service
At the bay you can find very good deals that are cheaper then even online stores when certain items are on sale. However, to beat online prices you will need to use their Hudson Bay credit card which usually gives an additional discount (which varies at times). With online shopping, it's difficult to see what certain products actually feel like, so we usually buy more then what we need (free shipping with minimum purchase) and then return the items we aren't satisfied with. Good return policy with no hassle.
I visited different departments at this Bay location several times in the past for gift purchases including jewelry and women personal, make up sections and myself in men's wear and I always had a good experience but it was even a much better experience just last few days when I was shopping for shoes. The first day was a big one day men's shoes sale and was crowded but there were a bunch of ladies patiently helping customers non stop. I was helped in no time. I visited again for some more shopping and exchange yesterday and receive equivalent sincere service like the first day. Keep it up ladies and thank you.
I Love the store and its pre-Christmas Sale. I am a frequent customer, Infant clothes selection is limited, specially for boys. Also, I was dissapointed when i vosited the Toy section. Very surprised to see almost no toys, specially so close to Christmas.
I usually purchase my clothes from here. Little overpriced comparatively other shops in mayflower mall but still with it. They only sell quality products and it lasts long.

Large department store with lots of with lots of available selection. A ton stuff always labelled sale and clearance so always somewhere to go for the price conscious individuals. I come here for the Dockers and Levi's. Best place to get them.

My first time there, obviously it's Bay so they have high end stuff, but customer service isn't good. It took me a long time to return a few items. This isn't expected from The Bay

If there's only a way to put a review here without a star at all. Fairview Mall Hudson Bay doesn't deserve not even a single star. March 23, around 6:45pm - I went to perfume section. I've waited 3-5mins and I understand that the saleslady was busy with other customer (but didn't buy anything). When I was standing in front of the versace products, a saleslady - grayish hair, 40's-50's age or older - approached me. She was ok and started talking about the set of the versace bright crystal ($135). She couldn't even tell me right away the price. Then I asked, "is this 50mL?". She became rude, tapping to the box few times (pointing at the perfume) like she was mad, while saying, "this is not 50mL....this is large...you're making me confused...I've been working here for so many years, I know the product....you're making me confused". And I was kinda shock that all of a sudden she became rude like that. I just said, "you know what, if you're being rude like that, I'll just go somewhere else". If she's working there for so long and if she knows the product, how can I make her confused with one, single question? I've been buying versace for how many times already from Hudson Bay - I went to Centerpoint Mall and Yorkdale - they were very accomodating, gives you all the good deals if they have. But Fairview Mall location - first time I got treated like that. The nearest mall from my place but I rather travel and go to Centerpoint Mall or somewhere else. Based on the reviews here, seems like they don't give a damn. That's ok if Hudson Bay won't do anything about this incident. I went to Hudson's Bay to pickup an online order. Safiash helped me at the cash. Completely the most pleasant experience. She literally ran into the back where online orders are kept for pickup, then instantly appeared with the order, pleasant and cheerful to serve. Woosh like a magician she was. Keep it up Safiash, others should follow your leadership and customer satisfaction behavior.

WORST THE BAY EVER! I went this location to buy a Christmas Gift. The lady called “Associate Manager” was extremely rude and treated me like a some maniac asking something random. Eventually she told me where it might be and nothing close was there. Doesn’t know where the items are in the store.
It is a shame to see the wonderful staff there struggle as there obviously isn't enough people to cover the floor. There is good selection but buying the product can be challenging. Anybody you can find is always really nice though

Lots of quality products, not much staff service but the cash out is very organized and fast.
The bay is always good for shopping options. We don't have many good ol' fashioned department stores anymore. So this is a tad nostalgic. That said some of the designs are expensive. I can see why less people would shop there. I would mostly wait for online sale deals rather than shop there in person
This bay store has a good amount of supplies. We got really good service at this store. Staff were very professional.
Selection is worse than ever for menswear. The Bay has beaten out Eatins, Simpsons etc who were quality operations. Most Bay's never have enough size ranges available, usually a lot ofsmall sized very boring range of outdated 1950s plaid shirts. Face it Bay management you lack buyers who have quality product experience..or any idea of inventory and styles. Mostly Bay stores cater for Asians with products from there.

Reviewing skin care / makeup department only : The staff here aren't very helpful. They aren't rude but they seem disinterested in helping customers, and more interested in chatting with their colleagues. Gf needed help as she doesn't wear a lot of makeup and no one asked if they can help her find anything as she was browsing and walking through the different sections (E.g. Clinique, Mac, etc.) The rep at Bobbi Brown was particularly odd. My gf specifically asked her about waterproof eyeliner and she just waved her hand over the lot of eyeliners they have; then she stood there staring at us without answering my gf's question. It was very uncomfortable so we left without purchasing anything even though I told my gf she can buy anything she wants... Saved my wallet lol. Seemed to have a lot of selection of good products so that is nice if you know what you are doing but would not suggest visiting here if you are a newbie to makeup
Great store with quality clothing and helpful staff. Prices are a bit high but you have to catch the special sales. The store is clean and well organized. Good variety of products to try on and compare. Washrooms and changing rooms available.
This location is not bad, its sort of unorganized at times but there are only so many employees available and so many customers moving things around and asking for things. This place is generally clean and can find most things. I'd say they would need more staff for this size of department store. Overall, not bad for a mall store.

Not good selection in my size. Generally overpriced
The curbside pickup service was not very good as I Called 3 times for them to pick up the phone and explain my need to pickup the item. I searched least three entrances to finally arrived at the DVP entrance and parked where the sign says curbside and called for the fourth times and they said I have to walk to the entrance to pick up.

Awful customer service. The manager on the mens section in the Fairview mall location his name is Ryan and his assistant Lisa are very unhelpful and do not care about customer service. I am a very honest customer that expects appreciation for being so. I bought a suite (Ralph Lauren) paid 700 dollars for it. I wore it once and it’s cleaner than when I got it. I am not comfortable with it and took to return it. First they said where is the tag so I said I wore it once and I removed the tags but I have them with me at home. They said please bring them. Then Ryan and Lisa came and said no I can’t return the suite. We as a family normally spend around 2000 dollars a year at the bay. And this is the customer service they provide. I could have put the tags back and said that I did not ware it but I always opt for being truthful. I guess this is not appreciated. Fine I will certainly express my opinion about the bay to everyone especially this Ryan. Don’t ever shop there.

Returns handled at same registers as sales, took us too much time to spend my money, waiting for people to handle returns. How about an extra register or area, to handle returns only, like other retailers have.
It's a good place for quality stuff, no the cheapest one but if you're lucky you can find something good on sale or clearance. Clothing, jewelry, watches, shoes, make up, perfumes, etc.

Not what it used to be. Service generally hard to find. Seems really disorganized and dated. The retail space is obviously really tough right now and the Bay seem to be loosing the battle. Shame.
Talk about a rundown place. So many things seem to be not the regular quality and variety. They're down greater themselves a lot.

As far as department stores go it is better than any I've in for a while. Huge selection, many many brands. I can't always see how the cost can be so high on everything but it is at all department stores. They have many High end brands. …
Good selection but time to renovate this Bay location. Look at your cousins at Yorkdale and downtown by the Eaton Centre. Even The Bay at Hillcrest Mall is even more upscale now. It's still an anchor that Fairview cannot do without only because it has been there for so long, but without refreshing its space and strategy, it's easy to fall behind.
Great shopping
My experience was a quick passing through but based on the visual housekeeping and upkeep of the store, I was a bit disappointed especially being the Bay. The ceiling looked a bit water stained in a number of places. Just the little attention to details.
Over priced items
Fancy department store with a big selection of men's wear. I like this store because they usually have most of things i like. Good customer service if you can find someone to help you. Always line up for check out.
Medium sized, the staffing is poor, less than helpful and hard to find during the week. Also less than knowledgable about the product lines and availability when asked. If your know what your after and where to find out you will be fine. If not pack a lunch/dinner, it'll take a while to get any sort of help.

Never buy furniture from Hudson’s! They are lying about delivery dates.
Although we can not shop in-person (atm) the curbside pickup process was seamless, efficient and the sales rep. who assisted me was approachable and friendly! If only the IT team would work on the seamlessness of their website ????
I am unable to get past the cosmetics/perfume department...at my preferred Mall Entrance! Please move the overwhelming smelly stuff to the back, in a corner, especially away from clothing. I will definitely shop there more often if the smells weren't an issue for me.

Horrible service ! There were about 5 customers waiting around in the Mens clothing section for a good half hour without any kind of assistance. Some of us actually had to go hunting around the store for someone and the girl we did find just said "someone should be over there". When I asked if she could page them because nobody has been there for a while and people are waiting, she said she would. Another 10 minutes went by and still no page for assistance! Ridiculous. Everyone ended up walking away and you probably lost at least $1000 in sales as it was the suit section. Not to mention the place looked like a tornado hit it and the fitting room had pinning needles and garbage all over the ground!
great sales but it's too over crowded with all the product all over the place like a flea market !! yes it feels like you are walking in to flee market and finding your way around to locate the items . honestly like the bay for so many years and shopping from this location but disorganized scattered.
My wife and I waited for nearly an hour for SAFIA to return from her supposed 15 minute break to make a gift registry return. The ladies working in housewares provided mediocre customer service, at best, in the meantime. Management at this store should train employees on effective communication methods and timely customer service. Avoid this Bay for knowledgeable staff regarding gift registry concerns.

Compared with other Hudson Bay locations, this one always seems chaotic, frantic, and a little bit in transition. The aisles get crowded, merchandise is in disarray, and it takes a long time to find service. In spite of that, it's still a decent place to get good deals on quality products.

WHERE are the sales clerks? I wanted to ask whether they carried UA clothing. So I wind up wondering around two levels during my quest (yes, they carry UA clothes).
Hard to find help and many of the staff are very unfriendly. Prices tend to be high and the way the staff treats you reflects this "high class" vibe.
I urge all who don't frequent traditional retailers give this location a try. I was looking for a dress shirt and Emelin was able to gauge my size just by looking. She made the whole process easy and stress-free. Here's another happy customer!
Lack of staff during a prime hour and had to wonder for to the men's because the only register open in women's had a large line up. Even men's was slow although the women was helpful. Also people making comments about your bathroom being disgusting is not encouraging.

Yesterday we had a great experience in Hudson bay cosmetic section thanks to Celeste. She was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the products and my Mom could finally get a great foundation to match her skin color. I extremely recommend her if you are looking for a great customer service and a satisfied shopping experience!
Clothes organized more by brand than category, making it impossible to search for just "pants". Nothing in my size. Friendly staff, but a nightmare to shop.

The Hudson's Bay Store's span the entire country. I do find this store well lit with wide aisle's which makes it much easier for people with mobile difficultys. The clothing selection is excellent. Slightly on the expensive side.
Love the jackets collection and available brands compared to other stores. But the prices are unpredictable. Keeps changing now and then.
The Hudson’s Bay is great. I love their apparel. Not sure why a brand is closing. A large cosmetics company is shutting its store- Deciem. Sorry to hear that they are not going to be in Hudson’s Bay after being sued by Estée Lauder. Deciem should seek business -social help.
When this place is on sale the deals are unbeatable. Even a discount and past season reseller can't compete

Massive big box store. Exactly what you'd think- the staff here aren't that great- no one really seems to know what's going on and aside from their small sections they dknt tend to know where to find things- and aren't really willing to help with items that aren't in their small departments. I find sometimes in this store it can be hard to find specific items unless you know exactly where they are. I also find this store to be a bit pricey. All in all- its okay.

While waiting to assistance in the ladies department a lady that appeared to be a manager rudely stated the I was standing in the very narrow walking space with my infant child in the stroller. There was plenty of room to go around us. She just didn't want to make the two steps horizontally. Everyone else understood the situation.

Bay Days are ok. Hard to find store assistance when you have questions. Long line ups at cashiers. Prices can be more competitive. Displays contains clothing with wrong prices, or prices not updated in the system. If stores are cutting back on staffing they can at lease install electrinic price checkers.

Online pick up is terrible. I was on a power hold for over 40 minutes. I was following up on an order ready to pick up. Today is the last day, but I needed an extra day. 2 days ago I called the store, they referred me to the 800#. I sent an email and spoke with a telephone rep. He said he will ask the store to hold the item. Yesterday I get a reply to my email saying they can't do it. Being confused, I called today to find out, since their emails are delayed. I was put in a power hold for close or past 1 hour, total silence. I'm switching to ebay, alibaba, or amazon. It's really hard to support Canadian industries when their customer service is this negligent.
I agree with the people saying that they never answer their phones, for some reason the staff at the Bay Fairview is nearly impossible to get a hold of on the phone. I used to work at a different Bay location and any time we needed to call this location for a customer, they'd rarely answer. However, the store itself is quite nice. There is a nice selection of clothes/brands that other locations, such as Scarborough Town Centre, don't have. The store is generally clean too, clothes are nicely folded/hung and easy to search for. One issue I have is that it seems like certain cash registers aren't open/being fully used. A line begins to form and only one out of the two registers will be used. Overall, the good outweighs the bad for this location and it is quite a pleasant shopping experience here.

I like the selection especially men's sportswear and colognes. They have great offerings for jeans and a wide selection of men's footwear as well.

It’s no wonder that Canadian retailers are struggling. This Bay store and Scarborough Town never have adequate staff to serve clients. As an example, there show department is a disaster, try and find someone to help you. Customer service is a suggestion only to these people. It’s a joke!

I purchased a living room set from another location, and the person who worked at there encouraged me to purchase a 5 year warranty for it since it would cover "almost" everything BUT make sure that the sofa your are buying is not going to be on clearance, in that case the warranty is worth NOTHING! They replace your existing furniture BUT your have to pay the difference AND they set a time limit on when you to make that decision! It's a total scam and that's not the way your costumer of 15+ years should be treated. Be aware of that!

Usually when I went in to the Hudson Bay store, you could not find people working. Now when I go into any Bay store, I see a lot of employees. I am happy that there are more employees working in the stores.
Excellent experience last Sunday. Very Rarely do I shop at the Bay, I had Just made it in the door minutes to 9pm. Waiting in line I would never have expected the patience or kindness of the gentleman who cashed me out, past closing time, on a Sunday night. I must include that I have No interest in applying for Any credit card, however "Juzer" had simply made my mind to do so with his outstanding positive attitude. I will look forward to shopping at Fairview Mall's The Bay from that day forward. I find it is Rare to encounter employee's this devoted to putting a smile on the customer's face, especially at Last minute of the Black Friday weekend after closing hours. I like the clothing and jackets at the store and I am may be wrong but the supervisors at the store does not have a pleasant face and though I don't remember the date I have seen international part time student workers being questioned in the store and I strongly felt they are discriminated. Yesterday my wife went to buy a gift for me and she told me the staff don't even smile to my little daughter who is three years old, so I can imagine how they treat customers especially immigrants. The billing counter staff looks as if we are taking stuff without paying and very rude looks. There are few staffs who are good to us but not all.

Not enough staff or registers open..EVER. Long line-ups for all servicing needs. When you call you either hear a pre-recorded message that the departments '"is not answering their calls" or you are left to hold in the phone queues for lengthy periods of time and then 'disconnected'. Poor service all around! Moving forward, I will be giving my business to a department store that actually values me as a customer and provides the quality of service to reflect that.

Today I just went in there and really really feel awful. I am in line to pay my item and their are cashiers name Alice and Mohammd assisting 3 people each infront of them and I even do not know if they are there for a payment or exchange of an item. Anyway to sum it all Me and the person behind me waited there for 15mins long and the cashier did not apologize for the long waiting. The lady cashier even treated these customers like royalty. Went out from her post and gave there items i don't know whats going on but i guess they might atleast ask apology or ask us to transfer to the available cashier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was under construction and everything was very much all over. One of the staff member was eating a bagel right in the levis clothing section. Nice place to eat food.
Lots of clothes to choose from but there are too few fitting rooms and the lineup to pay for was very long. The same salespeople are doing sales and returns.
I found a shoe that I wanted to buy, but the sales help could not find the mate. She said that they would call me and never did. Very disorganized shoe department.
Not a great selection of clothes (you are better off going online because most of the stuff is picked over). There is a serious lack of staff to help or even to check you out. The staff that is there is usually not very helpful (they just want to get the job done and go home). I get the feeling that staff and management have stopped caring about customer service here.
AVOID this Branch as much as possible! The most unorganized Hudson's Bay store I've come across. The staffs are clueless, they come up with their own stories & policies each day & different staffs have different policy LOL This store is a joke! No one's professional & you'd plenty of confused faces when you ask them something. And there's nothing called as " Customer service ". They run the store with a " take it or leave it " attitude and staff are either rude or unwelcoming. Once you visit other branches such as Eaton Centre, Scarborough Town Centre branches, you'd notice the difference.
Just phoned for some help purchasing gifts for my friend's wedding (a sheet set). The woman who helped me was SO helpful. She took the time to put items on hold, check with others on procedure, and double-check stock. I wish I got her name. But if her manager's reading, and knows who she is, please know you have a great staff member! Thanks!

This bay has an extensive kitchenwares and home section just like Scarborough Town Center but the service is absolutely horrendous. This often stands for any Bay but you will not find someone for any department since they seem to have the minimum amt of people working on weekends. You can only find them behind the cash and that too they seem under staffed. Like the store but service is lacking pretty much across the board at ant Bay

Bad experience encountered on June 15, 2018 at 8:30pm. Went to the store with a VIP coupon mailed to us by Hudson Bay offering us $50 off if spend more than $150. Select some under wears and shoes and went to the service counter in Kitchen department to pay. An old lady wearing glasses looked at the coupon and yelled at us with a very unfriendly tone saying she can not apply the coupon to the stuffs that we are buying, she didn't even check and force us to leave, we went to the other service counter and was served by a Chinese lady with a smile on her face and she checked the computer and said those items are qualifying for additional discount. We bought our stuffs and went back to that old lady and told her we that we have got the additional discount and asked her never treat your VIP customers with an ugly face. She yelled at us again loudly saying "NEXT". How can Hudson Bay has staffs in the front line which are so extreme in serving VIP customers, really shame on that old black lady.
My wife wanted to buy some boots online with next-day shipping. Great. She puts in an online order on her credit card. Doesn’t go through. She puts in a new order with updated information. Doesn’t go through. Frustrated, she makes another order on my credit card with my information. We put thousands of dollars through on Amazon on this card every few months. She is contacted ONE WEEK LATER by The Bay indicating that the order STILL didn’t go though. Oh, and her boots are now out of stock. Seriously, what online retailer only knows that an order didn’t go through ONE WEEK LATER. Corporate obviously has no clue what they’re doing. There is a reason that these stale old big box stores keep going out of business. Shop Amazon, even if it’s a bit more expensive (it’s usually not), and avoid this unnecessary hassle. Shareholders and buyers beware.

Cashiers should fix their attitude. Last time I bought a tommy hilfiger scarf with maching hat and they forgot to take off the security tag . I had to come back another day to take it off. Never trust the prices on the tag ...always check again before you pay.

This Hudson's Bay store occupies two floor of the CF Fairview Mall. It houses a variety of products ranging from household items, toys, scents to garments. They carry a lot of brands as well such as Levi's, London Fog, Columbia to name a few. You might not always find what you need here but most essentials are sold at the store.

I shop here at least once a week. This comment to the older sales lady that chaces ALL customer around store with 5 envelopes in hand. Re promotions for the photography downstairs. Today I waited in line with 10 others to buy my 4 items. While the employee of the Bay turned customers 5) away. Because she was doing promotions!!! Gimmicks, to get you in there, spend your money to get the quote "freebie". She is rather pushy as well, with why don't you want this great deal,after customer says NO thank you! Shouldn't be a employee of the Bay doing this. This is harassing of your customers. We are there to shop and enjoy. And why isn't she working cash when there is line ups 10 people long!

Nov 27 2021- I had a pleasant experience shopping here to buy winter gear mostly because of Waeel who was at the shoe counter, he was very helpful with advising and guiding me to buy the right pair for the winter.
Limited selections in comparison to other malls. The layout is not so great compared to Scarborough town centre, but It'll do.
It is the worst Retailer in Canada. They wasted my time for couple of weeks waiting for my order for 2 times and when checked with them they said Security department has canceled your order and called them again and the guy in Customer service told the item been reordered now 100% and u going to receive an email and then no emails ! No anything and called again to find they canceled my order again! They are not people looking for business or keen for business they are staff just to enjoy setting in office and they refused to do work instead of doing their job! You should shut down your business as you just do frustration for customers
Was at the perfume stand and was helped by Mayada. She was fantastic. Let me smell so many things, knew everything she was talking about and sold me on my new signature scent. Will definitely be coming back for her!

I never write reviews and made an account just for this. HORRIBLE customer service by cashier/sales associate named Ghazal. I came in to purchase a sweater, it was the last of its size but the logo thread was pulled and will only get worse as it was white on a black sweater. Anyways, as i’m standing in line I can already see Ghazal giving me looks (ok whatever), as I approach her, I ask if there is another size in the back telling her that I already checked on the floor, so she starts walking away to check the same spot I just told her I checked.. took a few times for her to understand there was no need to RE check. So she scans my item and I ask for a gift receipt. She proceeds to do the transaction looking very lost as what to do just staring at the screen, an older woman comes and tries to assist her (not much better of an attitude) as a line up is building behind me. Ghazal whispers to her in a snarky tone that “she didn’t tell me she wanted a gift receipt” Yet I did. I got fed up and asked for a 10% discount because of the thread and spending a fair amount of $ on a sweater that was partly damaged. As a woman who looks much younger than I am (pretty sure that’s why I was treated so poorly) I do not appreciate AT ALL being given dirty looks, talked about like I am not there, and treated like garbage. I have a very good paying job, I have and could spend lots of money in any store. Unfortunately I chose this Bay location, and never will I be returning. Train your staff how to respect PAYING customers, and train them how to do their JOB. Horrible customer service!!! Ghazal needs a mirror for her garbage & immature attitude.

Customer service was terrible. When we did find an associate they were not engaging except for 1 lovely lady in the purse dept. Dressing rooms were a mess with no assistance. The manager at Olsen's was amazing however and we purcashed a lot from her. She is dedicated to her brand and was extremely helpful.

I like the Fairview location because it's a good balance between having a good selection and not being too busy (basically, it's not Yorkdale but it's not the Eglinton Square) Cons : finding a Service desk with an associate to process my online order return and then my purchase afterwards.
This was my first trip back since the virus hit. I can't believe the positive jump on service levels. New Store Manager?
I was the only person in line with a single item to purchase and the cashier tells me she'll be back in a minute and leaves. I went looking for another cash elsewhere in the store. When I found one that cashier refused to serve me because I had clothing...and he was in a linens section... had to get his attention from the conversation he was having with the cashier who had abandoned me. Worst service I've had in years anywhere.
The Bay used to be a iconic CANADIAN institution, however, it seems whenever one of our golden prizes which we nurtured and babysat, grow up we give up for adoption. Regardless I've always supported the Bay, I gave 4 stars only because trying to find help is like pulling teeth. I find the quality of their merchandise suits my budget, the one thing I can depend on shopping at the Bay is TRUST.
Same store as what I'm used to in Ontario. Selections are more refined than in past. It is refreshing for choice. I found limited home, furniture. But I would still shop there. Now if only there website worked right.

Wrong very expensive perfume was purchased . The settled fragrance did not agree with her.and they were very accommodating and allowed her to exchange it for different brand as price equal to the original purchase. The Staff was very professional and understanding.
Customer service is very slow. I ended up leaving without being served.
BANKRUPTCY OF MALLS LIKE HUDSON BAY LARGELY BECAUSE OF THE UNPROFESSIONAL AND OUTRAGEOUS SALESMAN!!!!!! Went there to buy winter coat. The salesman really made me furious. The coat I grab was the only medium size I can find. The tag on its sleeve was missing. I didn't know that until I brought it to the counter. The salesman acts like I broke the tag and refuse to look up the price. He ask me to bring another same coat with a tag to him, so he can proceed to check out. My boyfriend went to grab another coat. With me standing at the counter with another coat I want to purchase. That guy didin't start to scan the other coat on the counter, but push my coat aside and start to help another customer behind me! My boyfriend got back in a minute and still have to wait for the next customer to finish. I'm pretty mad but didn't say anything, signed a little messy after purchasing with my card. And he's mad, saying he's wrapping up my coat, he's doing all things for me! How ridiculous!
HBC has really gone down hill past few years. Very limited selection, low stock in this particular store in Sydney makes it difficult or impossible to do much shopping here. Staff are friendly and helpful, if you can find anyone. I honestly don’t know how HBC manages to keep this store operating. I seldom see many shoppers here, compared to other HBC stores in other cities. It’s a bit sad because I like supporting HBC stores generally.

One of the best place for all your clothing, I get most of my clothes from here. In fact all my winter parkas are from here only. Great sale items.
Large store inside the mall. Clothing selection for the entire family. A little expensive. Friendly cashiers. Difficult to find someone to help you locate size or item as there were no staff floating around to assist. Had to line up at cashier then she paged someone to come and assist.
As usual nobody to help! No prices on goods. Staff busy having fun with visiting rep.

Very low quality of service, most of the time you should chase salespersons to get to talk to them, even with this circumstances they are not helpful at all. Good for browsing and trying, bad for shopping. Most deals and discounts are fake, you can buy better prices online or in other stores.
Clean and organized. Not enough staff on the floor or fitting rooms. The cashier that helped us was nice and knowledgeable

I was at the Gala yesterday, I was planning to purchase a perfume, I was confused as to which brand to get. I asked for help from an associate named Marjan. She was great, kind and patient, helped me out and I ended up purchasing more than one lol. Had a great experience I strongly recommend Her to anyone trying to get help with fragrances.

Horrible customer service. Ordered a product online - opened it and found that it was defective. I read about the Bay's exchange policies for online orders and found out that I had to return it IN store first and THEN call to request a replacement. When I got to the store to make the return, the lady helping me did not apologize for the inconvenience and seemed very annoyed to have to process the return. She had to call someone for some reason to do so - this took her over 10 minutes! Did not apologize for the wait either. Very disappointing, and not the first time I've had terrible service here. When I called to request a replacement, turns out I have to pay for shipping since they can't ship it to the store AND for some reason I didn't get the discount on my product that is offered online. Now I can't cancel the order either..

It's nice to see a variety of different designs and colors, the only problem is 1- only small sizes or over size 2- it is not organized it's like going to the flea market 3- the prices are not bad , but it has a small defective inconvenience, so check your merchandise before you pay
