One bit of advice for someone browsing at Freed's for the first time: ask a salesperson what is on sale before going into sticker shock. For example, among other things, I was interested in Dockers. But not for $90. Luckily I asked and they we're actually ringing up for $50. So I bought two pair. Just about everything I looked at and put back on the rack turned out to be actually on sale for what I would consider a reasonable price for the garment. This is not always clearly indicated by signage or tags. A minor irritant, but sales associates are quick to explain what is discounted if you ask. So although someone on a Walmart budget (that's me most of the time) will be disappointed you can still stretch your dollar further than you might think and bring home some nice threads. And as always the staff are very helpful.

Combine a large collection of the latest clothing with an old world dedication to personal service, and you have Freeds. Sure you can find a variety of online retailers selling dirt-cheep clothes, which look fine on models in the photos; but disappoint upon arrival. The advantage to shopping at Freeds is that you know you’re going to come out well dressed.

We got my fiance his suit here a few weeks ago and he was treated like the star of the hour - exactly what we wanted! The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful and gave their own personal advice on top of their recommendations. As far as I'm concerned this is the only store for menswear in Windsor. It's been there for many years and I hope it continues to be there for many more. I don't go that often, but when I go I leave with an armload of quality merchandise. If you plan ahead and you don't care so much about the latest trends, you can get high quality clothing that will last you for years at a good discount. I buy all of my work clothes at Freeds and in general things bought there last at least 10 years. If you need a good suit - Freeds is the place to go.

Freeds provides the kind of expert service that is lost in our world of big-box shopping. You walk in, tell the clerk the occasion you're shopping for, and he hands you a suit. Done. He may measure you, but he doesn't need to; he's done this thousands of times before. You can second-guess his initial selection, but you'll go back to his first. This is my favourite place to buy shirts, suits, and shoes.

Lots of nice clothes here. Prices vary from reasonable to ridiculous. My wife and I brought my son here to get him a suit for graduation. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come over and help us. A manager noticed that we were waiting to be served and told an employee to come help us. Once she finally came she seemed rather uninterested in helping us out and put the minimum effort in to helping us find what we were looking for. Price for the suit was reasonable considering it includes shirt, shoes and tie as well as the suit.

I am very thrilled with the personalized customer service I received from EVAN at FREEDS for my online purchase . They exceeded my expectations from the start of my purchase to receiving my new Lorrette Canada Goose Jacket. I purchased my item from their online website - I have to say it was easier to find a variety of Canada Goose Jackets in various sizes from the FREEDS website. We all know this product sells out very quickly at this time of the year however they still have many sizes and colours in the recent jackets. As a result of an error Evan called and messaged me to make sure I was going to be happy with my jacket selection. He then allowed me to speak with someone in their ladies division who knew the product well to give me advise to confirm my purchase. I felt reassured and trusted her product knowledge. This is not typical experience you get from buying on line. Additionally my order was shipped from Windsor Ontario to Toronto in 1 day or less! I am loving my Lorrette Canada Goose Parka and the amazing personalize experience and support I received from Evan and the team at Freeds. They could only supply black suits for my wedding in 6 months. The salesman said it takes 6 to 8 months to order 6 suits in navy blue. He 'used car salesman'ed' me and said "If everyone in the wedding party came today, we might be able to do it". I went to 67 Richmond for the suits instead and was very happy.

The staff at Freeds is spectacular. Andjela and Derek in particular were extremely attentive and helpful when organizing orders for my eight groomsmen. Not only were they able to provide a great deal on a terrific suit package, but they personally went out of their way to ship many of the suits to the groomsmen who live across the U.S. and Canada. On a personal note, they were very kind and responsive when talking on the phone and over email/text. I couldn't ask for better customer service. I would absolutely recommend Freeds for any wedding.

Absolutely terrible. I went to Freeds because of their quality name to get the suits for the groomsmen for my wedding. Everything was fine when picking out the suits, we upgraded a couple options such as the ties and shoes as well making the guys pay a little bit more. When it came time to pick up the suits, one of the suits had oil stains all over it and it had looked like it had been worn. They told him it would come off and just to wash it when he got home, he refused to take the suit until they tried to get the stains out and the stains did not come out. Freeds needed to order a new suit in that will now come in the same day as the rehearsal dinner potentially making him late. Another issue we had was with the ties. They gave 3 groomsmen the wrong tie and all the other groomsmen The other tie. Had I not noticed my fiances brothers tie In his closet I would have not known this until the day of. When I called about this second issue I was apologized to and told that the owner would call me in the morning to discuss all of these issues. He never did call. Instead a sales lady called me about the tie issue and said she would give me the correct ties. When I tried to talk about the suit issue she said "I know nothing about suits I just deal with accessories". My last issue with Freeds is the best man went to pick up his shirt, tie and shoes, but the store did no have his shirt in. It is 3 days until my wedding. I don't understand how a store raved about so highly could be so unorganized and give such bad service. I would not recommend Freeds to anyone. At the end of it all no one from the store has called to apologize about all of the stress they have put me through.

My fiancé and I were picking out my suit for our wedding and we were in the side of the store where the $900+ suits were. An older gentleman who runs that department walked toward us and I was glad he can give us some guidance, but to my surprise he abruptly directed us to the ‘cheaper’ side of the store assuming these suits were too expensive for us and he literally took the suit from my hand that I pulled out of the coat rack and put it back. You know, because a brown couple dressed in regular clothes... of course we can’t afford these suits for a WEDDING right. As we were walking out of the store a kind man stopped us and asked what we were looking for. A younger gentleman who is a Freed from what I recall. He got me fitted and because he was so kind I walked out spending $1000+. I guess the moral of the story is to not judge a book by its cover because maybe that guy dressed in regular clothes is a doctor who earns more money than you can afford. The gentleman working in that department is stuck in his old ways and needs to be let go. If it wasn’t for a little bit of good customer service I would have walked out of that store making sure no one I know spends a dime there.

I went into Freeds today for the suit package (best deal you will find) and was helped by Ryan. His customer service and product knowledge was as good as it gets. I highly recommend asking for Ryan, and let him take care of you. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and I couldn't be happier with my suit. 10/10

Great clothing, new trends. Great selection! The worst part is interacting with some of the staff members. Out of the 10 staff members I’ve interacted with throughout my many years shopping here, I’d say 2 of them were above average decent people. The gentleman who sells men’s shoes is probably the worst human being I’ve ever interacted with. I wish I could’ve just went in the back and grabbed the size I wanted. When I go in, and he is there, I’ll wait until his shift is done, or another employee can get my size. Just conversing with him makes me feel nauseous. Another employee bumped into me as she was walking backwards and rolled her eyes at me. Never a fun experience when you just want to spend some money, probably on the greater end of $2,000 per visit. Really wish they just had the self check out option so I wouldn’t have to interact with any of their customer service and sales members.

Terrible service. The representative picked out a suit for me which was tailored for an important interview. When I picked it up the tailoring job was horrendous and they forgot to take out the stitching in some areas. I brought it back after my interview where they then blamed me for picking out a wrong suit (they choose the suit for me to try) and attempted to charge me to tailor it again. They acted like I did not matter and treated me as if I was little kid. Also, I wore the suit twice and the buttons fell out. Terrible quality for the price I paid, I will never wear the suit again. I strongly recommend you go to Banana Republic where they have amazing customer service, good quality suits and at amazing prices.
