The seamstress Ana likes to make degrading comments about your weight and size while taking measurements. I saw another review mention this, and I know of two people personally she has done this to. Very unprofessional, would not recommend. Also notice there seems to be a few fake positive reviews on here, probably from the business itself trying to offset the negative comments.

I got my wedding dress alterations done here and it was beautiful! Also I take summer dresses to get hemmed. I'm always happy with the outcome. Only place I go too and trust to not mess up my clothing. Professional and pleasant service :)

Not only were the staff so sweet and kind, the work they did was absolutely lovely. They were able to add a bustle, steam and give me everything I asked for with my dress. I would highly reccomend this place for any alterations and work for clothing and I will definitely return the next time I need tailoring!

Absolutely amazing customer service!! My sister and I originally brought 2 bridesmaids dresses to them to be altered and after more than one emergency on our part they ended up altering all of them. My dads wedding is 2 days away and last minute I needed my daughter's dress hemmed so she told me to bring it in right away in the morning. I am so grateful she was willing to hem her dress the day before the wedding!!! Thank you so much!

My best friend of 20+ years used Violetas for her bridesmaid dress alteration. To give context, my friend wears a size XS and when she was younger she had an eating disorder. She no longer does, but still struggles, as we all do, with her self image- even as a petite woman. The seamstress, Anna, thought it was appropriate to negatively comment on my friends weight, both at the initial measurements and the pickup. My friend even went on a diet due to her rude comments at the initial measurements, and was met with a "maybe you shouldn't eat until the big day" at her final fitting. I am disgusted , appalled and yes angry on behalf of my friend. How dare this woman. How dare she think she has the right to tear anyone, let alone a customer down. How dare she bodyshame ANYONE. I was considering using Violetas depending on how my friends service went, and this solidified a no on my end. I shutter to think what this woman would have to say to me, a plus sized woman. Do your self image a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Great Little Business... I took my winter coat in to have sleeves altered. They only charged me $25!!! Most other places charged $50 on up. It did take a few days to get it back to me. But the quality of work was perfect and exactly what I was hoping for! Unsure if they accept credit or check, as I paid via cash. But...Highly recommended! I will definitely use them again!!!

Whatever you do, NEVER trust them with a $2,000 wedding dress. Thank goodness my mother came into town a few days early and was able to at least fix some of their mistakes but you would think since they had my dress for 7 and a half weeks I would at least not have raw cut edges that were uneven and my dress would've been the right length. Then because they made a mistake try to tell me I needed to switch my shoes for more height and even try to tell my bridesmaids that picked it up with me to try and convince me to switch to higher heels. My poor mom spent a ton of time adding slip stitches to my dress in the front so I could walk without tripping. She even had to add more the day of wedding while riding in the limo, all because Violeta's didn't take the proper time or care with my dress. They added extra stress to myself and my mother by having my dress until 6 days before assuring me the entire time everything was fine. Obviously not.

Went in for tailoring on a pants hem, dress halter top shortened and bottom sides of a dress taken in. However, I was unsolicitely groped on my chest by an older male with a birth mark on his face multiple times and obviously in spots that didn't need pins. He was the only person there with me so I left asap and had my mom go back in an hour to get the items I left because I didn't know what to do. Please beware of letting your young daughters go here, alone especially. I have never had a problem with Violetta but unfortunately she was not there.

I felt it was very expensive and I was disappointed that pressing was not included in the price I paid. In addition to that, I had to ask for my clothes to be put on a hanger and in a bag before I took them. I went to this place because according to google, it’s the closest seamstress to me but going forward, I will drive further to go to a different business.

Just one example, I brought her my husband’s jacket that had a flaw that we didn’t notice when we bought it and it was too late to return it. The pocket was poorly made , too small, and had a huge hole in it. She remade and expanded it. My husband was so thrilled. Her prices are reasonable and she does great work. I was so happy that she was able to relocate after that fire.
