My initial impression with Montagio was anything but impressive. The consultant was completely inept at all levels of customer service. I spent 30 minutes explaining what a tuxedo was! They couldn’t understand that I wanted and even told me they don’t sell shirts? The consultant actually asked me the customer, what fabrics would be suitable. The consultant felt like a work experience kid and then managed to mix up what I wanted four times. I was helped at the end of a miserable experience by another male staff member who sensed my frustration but it was a little to late. The next day I called to cancel my order due to my experience and was connected with Cedric. Cedric talked me through the problem and assured me he could turn the situation around. He even offered to come to my office and redo the fitting. Cedric, redid the fitting and advised me on what I needed, he was like the Michelangelo of suit making. He worked through the different cuts and how they’d sit on my body, what would look good and what wouldn’t with utter confidence. He could even tell that I had a shoulder injury and one shoulder sat slightly higher. I was impressed. The situation went from nightmare to a dream experience. Thank you Cedric for realigning the hype of the GQ articles with the real experience! Love my new tux!!!

I know them personally to be good guys. Having seen how they operate first hand I can safely say that they do deliver great suits. Overall I would highly recommend Montagio. I am new to the tailored suit experience so did a fair bit of research before-hand yet this really wasn't necessary. At the initial booking they took me through every option and choice in a simple manner and made it all quite fun. At every stage the communication is amazing - emails - text messages letting you know what is happening and the ability to track the order online were great. I had some minor concerns about my fit and these were addressed with some minor alterations being made to the shirts I purchased. Everything else was explained really well and the staff make you feel welcome. The end result was great - the fabric is beautiful Will be back for my next suit or maybe a blazer in the near future :)

I recently purchased a tuxedo for my wedding from Montagio’s Sydney outlet. They provide custom made suites and tuxedos which are created in Thailand and imported into the country using measurements taken and materials selected in the Sydney store. I found their prices were a lot more reasonable than other stores in Sydney. I was happy with the fit and appearance of the final product. I was most impressed with the high level of personalized service that I was provided, from the moment I walked into the store to the final fitting. The store was very accommodating to my requests and maintained a great line of communication, which was important as I actually traveled down to Sydney from North Queensland in order to purchase this suit and needed to know time frames for booking repeat travel. On the negative side of things and the reason I can't give 5 stars is that there were a couple of things wrong with the ordered tux, which I suspect was miscommunication between the store and their producer in Thailand. (1) The presence of belt loops was easily ameliorated in store (they were removed) but the (2) Lack of a lapel buttonhole for the boutonniere was a problem as on my wedding day I had to pin it through the lapel (which would damage set lapel and it kept falling to the side), which was less than ideal. I did specify the above two features in my original order and given I spent nearly 2 and a half grand I was disappointed this wasn't correct in the final product. However, overall my experience with Montagio was a positive one and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Highly recommended. The fit of my tailor made shirt was exceptional. Off the rack shirts rarely fit me properly. Riz at Montagio helped me design a shirt exactly to my specifications and measurements, and the end result was fantastic. As soon as I tried the first one on, I immediately booked in to order several more! One word of warning - once you start getting tailored clothing made by Montagio, nothing else will compare!

Absolutely Brilliant! Jatin, Fred and the rest of the team could not have been better. We wanted our son to feel extremely special in buying his suit for his upcoming wedding. We wanted it to be an experience like the bride feels when she buys her wedding dress. Montagio did not disappoint. As we live 500km from Sydney, we rang around quite a few suit specialist to gain a feel of which one would provide the best experience. Montagio won hands down. Jatin at once knew what we wanted and they even supplied bubbles for my wife, daughter and future daughter-in-law and the whiskey for our son and myself. From the moment we arrived (quite noisily with the five of us), Jatin guided us through the process. His expertise in advising our son on colour, fabric, style and individuality so that he will shine as the groom, was intuitive and incredible. He then turned his focus to me. He knew exactly what would suit my body type (not quite the same as a fit young 25 year old) and again expertly advised me on what would look great on me. A month later we return for the fitting - how good do we look! Our son's suit with it's embroidered personal note inside the jacket, fitted like a glove and he looks amazing in it. My suit was equally brilliant but needed slight adjustment to the sleeve and they did it that day for us which was so accommodating as we flew down for the fitting and did not want to have to make another trip. We thank Jatin and the team immensely. We are so excited to go to our son's wedding looking so amazing.

Just picked up my wedding suit from Montagio last week and it looks great. To be honest I was a little unsure if the finished product would live up to expectations as I’d never purchased a tailor made suit before, but the guys, (Martin, Riz, Jatin and Bally) really helped me out to design something that was not only unique and special for my wedding, but could be reused for other occasions – so it made it more worthwhile. The finished product was perfect. It fit extremely well (I have a stocky built for a suit!) and the quality of the materials and stitching were top notch. Great product and no hesitation to wear it on my special day!

As the Groom seeking a tuxedo and suits for my bridal party, I was very impressed with the many levels of customisation and options included in the one price such as fabrics, position/numbers of pockets, and size of lapel. Turn over was on time as promised despite the current worldwide postage delays and Christmas season. Suits and shirts were well received with minimal changes to the party. Mine was perfect without any need for alterations. Will be back again for many more suits. Don't forget to try some of their fine selection of whiskies they generously have on offer for each visit.

The experience I had at Montagio was first class, and I wanted to write a detailed review to cover the good and the bad (although there wasn’t much I could complain about!). I am a regular suit wearer and am also quite fussy when it comes to the way I dress. Having tested and experienced all types of suits – from off-the-rack, full bespoke and also from fly-in tailors from HongKong and Thailand, I have to say that this was one of the best experiences and products I’ve seen. The only other one on par was my full bespoke suit which I of course paid through the nose for! For what they call a ‘custom tailored’ product, the result is superb. Jumping a little ahead - and I know this probably isn’t typical in tailoring, but when I tried on the suit at my first fitting, it was near perfect fit - just requiring a slight nip-tuck in the trouser length to sit how I wanted on my shoes. I had never experienced such a great fit straight off the bat – even with my bespoke suit. I was simply astounded by this fact alone. Now jumping back to the start – Riz, the stylist that attended to me ensured he listened to what my requirements were and then made some sound recommendations in terms of fabric, style and also matching up shirts for my suit. I’m no newbie to this, but still found his advice to be on the mark with what I wanted. This made the biggest difference as there was a lot of communication throughout the process as well as great suggestions and taking the time to understand what I needed. The fly-in tailors usually just give you all the fabric swatchbooks, try and upsell you to more expensive fabric, and don’t really listen to what you are after or provide advice. The measurements are also done with minimal feedback or discussion, whereas at Montagio Riz really took the time to discuss the measurements with me so that we were able to refine as much of the fit as possible before the garment was made – hence the excellent result! Around 3 weeks later - earlier than expected - I received an email & text saying that my order was ready (a great little service), and I arranged a fitting time. On the day of the fitting, Riz wasn’t there as it was his day off – this was my only qualm about the entire experience as I would have liked to have dealt with Riz again. However, the guy that attended to my fitting was also great and ensured I was happy with everything. In fact, before I even noticed that my trousers were a little long, he pointed it out and said they would adjust it and folded up the cuff straight away. He could have left it and hoped I wouldn’t notice or mention anything, but what I loved was the proactive approach – it shows that they truly want their customers looking damn good! In terms of the quality, I would have to say that both the suit and the shirts are superb, especially for the price I paid – the finish and fabric is excellent. I would have to say that Montagio is almost as good as the suits and shirts I’ve previously paid more than double the price for, and they are leaps and bounds better than the stuff I’ve gotten on the cheap from fly-in tailors. One thing I should note is that before making the decision to go to Montagio, I read through these reviews and researched other businesses as well. I saw only a couple of reviews that gave negative feedback, which could easily discourage people who are considering using these guys. But the positive reviews were overwhelming, which convinced me to check them out. I can’t say what happened with the two guys that wrote the negative reviews, but I can say this - I would personally recommend Montagio without hesitation to anyone, and they are now my tailor of choice considering service, price point, quality and fit of the end product. - Cheers Montagio!

What makes Montagio superior to all other suiting stores in Sydney is the level of customisation. I DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE, I AM DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE PROVIDED TO DATE. NOT RECOMMENDED BY ME. I was measured and ordered a $4,500 suit on 22/7/18 for wedding . It didn't fit properly and was altered in numerous places. I was inundated with emails after I had to change suit pickup date that kept confirming my old booking. I emailed back, called and got very frustrated, being told it was all computerised. Shirt supposedly made from Egyptian high quality non shrink cotton, shrank 2 sizes and was told 2 new would be remade. Paid for suit and shirts in full on 29/10/18. Told shirts would take 2 1/2 weeks to remake. Then told I had to wait for dry cleaning. STILL WAITING AFTER 3 1/2 weeks.

Montagio went beyond my expectations. The process of getting a suit and shirts made is as much an educational as it was a sartorial experience. The service was first rate and the results of their unique process has made it difficult for me to wait to use Montagio to further expand my wardrobe. In contrast to every suit I have purchased elsewhere--when it would feel as though a sale was being pushed on me or I was falling prey to some bait-and-switch tactics--at every stage it felt as though Montagio was trying to help me get exactly what I want. The styling options available for suits allows you to have a lot of input into getting the look you're after, and the range of colors, weaves, plaids, stripes and patterns met everything I would have conceived of for a suit or business-appropriate shirt. And even though there were many potential decision-points, the advice I got from Montagio allowed many of the details to swiftly take care of themselves while I could focus and dwell on the particulars that would most crucially personalize the suit. What this means is that the process did not take long despite the vast array of options available. A few bits of advice are worth mentioning to anyone thinking about getting a suit with Montagio. Firstly, getting a spare pair of pants made with each suit is a good idea. The pants of my Montagio suit are the best fitting and most comfortable dress pants in my wardrobe. If you are like me, then you will want to wear them even for semi-professional office days or smart-casual events even when you are not wanting to wear a suit; they look smart and breathe far better than jeans or any fabrics made with polyester blends. They are also allow quite a bit of free movement, so you don't need to still or sit at a desk when you're wearing them, but are fine to walk some distances, commute, or even wrestle small children. Secondly, don't just consider getting business shirts when looking for shirts at Montagio. Keep Montagio in mind for smart-casual as well. Places like Tarotrash might make lots of zazzy prints and patterns for such shirts, but they are not much cheaper in price and are largely made from synthetic weaves (that make it very hard for the skin to breath--even under Office conditions). Moreover, such off-the-peg shirts fit nowhere near as comfortably or as flattering as the Montagio shirts. A good casual shirts from Montagio makes your efforts at the gym show far better than a billowing flappy thing from Target or a constricting Roger David shirt that sticks to your skin like glad-wrap. Thirdly, don't be afraid to ask questions. I am not at all expert in fashion or suits, and the staff at Montagio readily understand this. They have received all my queries with respect and that extra thought seems to get a better outcome I am very happy with the results and have already booked to get more. The value for money is obvious, especially when you consider that equally or more expensive suits and shirts can be found in stores like Myer or David Jones, of far more moderate quality. There is nothing in these stores that Montagio doesn't seem to be able to do better in terms of fit, cloth, durability, and price.

From start to finish the experience was flawless and I ended up with a killer suit that rocks. Highly satisfied! Initially you come in to choose fabrics and make decisions about style etc. There are loads of beautiful Italian/English materials on offer. I choose the highest quality of everything and upscale to all the added features (including engravings and surgeon cuffs etc). Even though I became a little carried away in the mistaken belief I was James Bond, it still ended up extremely reasonable in terms of price with zero corners cut. After the suit was sized, it was ready in a couple of weeks. I came in for a fitting and it was like a second skin... Perfect fit. As part of the deal, some free alterations are included in the price. I went searching for problem fitings that I could adjust. I asked my fiancé, mum and sister for criticism, but try as I might to find problems, there were none. It was a perfect fit first time. All in all, I would highly recommend the process to anyone looking for a bespoke quality suit at off the shelf prices.

They tried every way under the sun to get me to take the suit anyway and promised to give us discount on the next purchased which we have confirmed with email. Come next time, they claimed the person who gave us the promise is no longer with the company and it was void. The suit came after about 6 weeks, and after the first fitting the suit was a little too big but their tailor took new measurements for the alterations. The suit came back after another 2 weeks and the jacket fit was much better, almost perfect. The pants fit well, a little looser fit than I prefer but it ended up more comfortable to wear.

From start to finish our whole experience was top notch! I came into Montagio a few weeks back to get my partner’s suit tailor made. We hadn’t tried tailored before but we had heard good things and thought we’d give a try. Wow! We were not disappointed. Riz (I think that’s his name) was really helpful and guided us through the design and what seemed to be endless options for fabrics and design. I thought I knew a bit about suits, but now I know a lot more. I never thought that so much went into making a suit, but they explained everything to me clearly and it was easy to appreciate the effort and process that goes into it. Truly amazed! One thing I really appreciated was that I felt that they were’nt so focused on the sale, as making sure we got something that was perfect for our occasion (a friend’s wedding). The end result was great, a few small tweaks needed but the onsite tailor took care of them right away and we were able to pick up the suit later the same day. As for the price, there were many different ranges to choose from. We selected from the italian range and the fabric is excellent – feels light and has a little shine to it which I like. My only criticism would be that the suit did take a little longer to arrive due to the tailors being on holidays, but overall the process was great and my partner’s had many compliments!

My 22 year old son recently bought a $1200+ suit from Montagio only to have it arrive haphazardly thrown into an express post bag with no packaging, tissue paper or box in sight! The suit looked like a cheap, mass produced number from China!! Not impressed. Montagio, your staff need to show more pride in their product and it's safe delivery to the customer. When informed of the appalling delivery service, the store manager blamed Australia Post! I don't think so.... In this instance, my son was placated by being given a 'pocket square' (basically a hanky!). Not good enough. My other son is a loyal Institchu (rival tailor) customer and all his suits arrive in a beautiful, secure box, via registered post with a 'thank you' note and a free dry-cleaning voucher included. Now that's how it should be. Montagio take note, please, and improve your delivery service! By the way, all the store manager at Montagio could say about Institchu was that they "have a different business model" to Montagio. What?! In this instance, my son and I think that "different" may just mean "better". Further, Montagio staff should read and follow their own motto (as found under "pricing" on their website) - it says that their customers won't receive their suit "crumpled in the mail" - yet this is exactly what happened. This suit is not worth the $1200+ my son paid for it. We won't be repeat customers and I wouldn't recommend Montagio based on their sub-standard delivery service and staff indifference and lack of care. Maybe if my son was older and wiser (or more astute, like your other customers maybe?) this may have not happened - shame on you for taking advantage of him.

I visited Montagio in October and wanted a suit to wear to weddings and special occasions. I was fitted out by Bally and we went through the styling of the jacket, trousers and then through to the shirt. I picked a English wool 120s and Bally added a red stitch lapel hole and added some nice purple linning. The second fitting I was greeted by their in house tailor and minor adjustments were completely taken care off, I am fairly large body and not easy person to fit out. I am extremely disappointed. Nearly 6 months after I ordered a suit I am empty-handed. Nothing but a shrug rand a promise refund of my money, and many hours of wasted time. I am barrel-chested so I expect alterations to a suit. However, the jacket was so badly altered by the seamstress that it was beyond recovery. When the second attempt arrived it was already so badly tailored that no amount of alterations would have made it fit. The two pairs of trousers I’d ordered fit perfectly but were of no use without the jacket. So, 6 months of waiting and many visit ... for a shrug and a promised refund (I hope - I've not been informed it’s been initiated). Two stars given for past service on a previous suit, when I had good service. On this alone it would have been one.

Staff treated me well and I had no surprises and ended up with a suit I'm happy with in exactly the time promised. I would suggest the following however 1) it may be a good idea to show people an idea of what they're going to look like as first time suit buyers may be very overwhelmed. Pictures of what average people look like in well tailored suits will go a long way. 2) make a suggested colours and accessories guide for your client as this will foster a taste and respect for your knowledge and surely increase your sales. I still have trouble choosing shirt and tie colours and your guidance would be greatly appreciated. 3) best not to remind people in text form more than once that your time is valuable. Anyone paying approximately 700 -1200 dollars should be aware that all time is valuable and needn't be patronised about it. All of that said, montagio treated me extremely well and accommodated my hectic schedule to the best of their abilities.

My experiences goes back to earlier this year! This review is not going to benefit or harm me in any way but I just wanted to share my experience with Montagio and the staff at Montagio. You have on your records the full details and description of the suit I originally designed with James. My measurements were taken twice by James and another guy I forgot his name. I was so excited about my suit and did not have any doubts that my suit will look great as I selectes the most expensive fabric up until the day I went for my first fitting with my fiance where everything changed! On the fitting day I was shocked as the lapel was not as per designed. The lapel was not satin and I had asked for a tux suit. James tried to convince me somehow that the lapel will get changed. He said that the tailor will add satin to the lapel! I don't know how that was going to happen. I tried my suit on and the measurement were so bad. The jacket needed major alterations to the point your tailor (Asian lady) said it will be easier to make another jacket. James and the tailor literally pinned the back, chest, shoulders, sleeves and length of the jacket. The monogram was on the wrong side inside the jacket. The pants was so baggy and needed taking in from the hip, knee and ankle. The shirt was baggy and needed slim fitting, shortening the sleeves and slim fitting the sleeves. Now I got turned off by the suit as it was supposed to be tailor made. I'am a real estate agent and I wear suits on daily basis and to be honest that pre-made suits suit me better in terms of measurements. My fiance got really upset and emotional and she started questioning James about why this happened. James rudely replied by saying that he will refund the money instead of calming us down and try to help me out. James was not professional as he was screaming at us. At one point the tailor said (JAMES STOP THE CUSTOMER IS RIGHT)!! Here I was left in a very difficult and stressful position and I was very upset with your unprofessional manner when making business. The fact I was left without a suit few days before the wedding caused me stress, disappointments and turned me off about my own wedding. Note that I chose your most expensive material and I had no problems with paying for my suit as I was looking for quality that I never received from Montagio or it's staff. I had to take a lot of time off work and drove to the city around 4 to 5 times to find a suit last minute. Please also note that I'm not asking for compensation that I actually can ask for but, I'm just sharing my bad experience with Montagio and it's staff. I opted for the $1200 2 suit deal as advertised. You get the basic 110's with this price range and a fair few inner lining options. I needed to refresh my basics and went with a navy and a grey. Suit took about 4-5 weeks to finalise, then a couple additional weeks for a few corrections. Had a couple hiccups with the sleeves and how it rotates along the shoulders, along with limb length, but that was sorted within a couple weeks. Natalia handled the entire process for me and was always kind and professional (a tad cheeky as well). Definitely valued her opinion. Any issues raised were immediately addressed. Good value and good service for the price. Would easily recommend this to my friends and anyone with that budget range. I'll definitely be back in the future, perhaps trying something in the price bracket above. Thanks guys!

The whole process of designing and ordering the suit was very easy and the advice given by Romit and Riz helped greatly in getting a suit that fit with my style and intended purpose. You feel the staff are very humble and work with you to get exactly what you want. I love the idea that my suits were hand-crafted just for me. The Montagio team were very kind to actually explain their difference in quality and feel I wouldn't want to buy a suit from anywhere else now (especially at the prices they sell for!).

The knowledgeable staff as well as the selection of suits already on display makes you feel like this is the place Barney from How I Met Your Mother would have his suit made. They have an excellent selection of fabrics and they're extremely thorough in the explanation of different fabrics, cuts, styles and colour combinations. My wedding suit needed to be completed in 6 weeks and I was extremely impressed with how accommodating they were given the quick turnaround. The suit was completed in 5 weeks, and even though it was slightly larger at the time, Natalia was able to tailor it to become a perfect fit a few days later. If you want a custom suit made that actually fits and doesn't look like your dad's old prom suit, come to Montagio.

Just recently purchased 5 shirts and they all fit perfectly as well, no adjustments required. Edit Got the suit made. Complained about folds/creases on the shoulder. The guy dismissed me, saying I don't know what I'm talking about since I only buy off the rack, that it's all fine, that it'll be fine if I wear it for 30 days. Many months later I read a reddit article about how a tailored suit should fit, which confirmed the shoulder crease caused by the cut not conforming to my shoulder. Didn't bother going in to the shop because of the way the guy tried to talk his way out of it, like some tradies do. Wrote a google review to warn future customers. Management contacted me, asked me to come in and get it sorted out, that the person who fobbed me off is no longer with the company. They measured me again and re did the whole suit, not just the shoulder. Thank you.

I went to Montagio as a student yet they treated me with respect and helped greatly. I went with the intention of just looking yet the professionalism of Riz helped me greatly and was unusually candid for a salesman giving me huge confidence in trusting Montagio. Furthermore, the quality of suits is ridiculously good for what you pay. The material is hardy yet elegant to gaze upon. Even the insides of the suits feels wonderful to wear. I have been to several tailors and mass produced retailers but Montagio have been the only ones to create a suit for my unusual body shape at such a good price. In addition, do not hesitate to ask questions. They put up with my extremely pushy mother very well along with giving me their genuine opinions instead of trying to get me to pick the most expensive options. So thank you Montagio. You guys made me an awesome tuxedo for my formal and a stunning suit for my job interviews. I hope to come back again in the future!

Better quality fabrics, a more relaxed larger showroom, and with lots of other suit styles to compare to. I picked up the suits and shirt yesterday and the fit is perfect. As I was told on my first visit - once you've had a suit tailored that fits perfectly, you'll never buy off the rack again. I haven't, and wouldn't dream of it in the future. First class service.

I have purchased 2 x Super 130's English Wool suits from Montagio. Their service is exceptional, however the quality of the stitching and finish on the suits has been frustrating at times. Suit fit was great, style, colour everything in that respect is perfect, cannot fault them. As presented in store on first wear, everything was perfect. The first suit that I purchased the fabric burred on the pants on the first time wearing them. No problem's I posted them back and they replaced them without question. I purchased a second suit, the stitching came undone on the pants after a couple of weeks. Again after emailing them they were happy to pay the cost of repairs (I live in Brisbane so not worth posting them to Sydney). They even offered me a free silk tie to make up for it. Since that point the stitching on one of my shirts, and on the pants has come undone. Not by force, but just casual wear. I have had them repaired at the dry cleaners both times. I stopped contacting Montagio to claim the repair costs as the hassle is not worth the $15 paid for the repair job. I have had tailor made suits from Thailand in the past that lasted many years without stitching coming undone. Whilst I cannot fault Montagio on customer service, the stitching coming undone repeatedly on different items is frustrating, produced at different times makes me wonder how long the suits are going to last. I've had them for about 10 months now and each suit gets worn 1-2 times per week max, in an office job. I would be more acceptable of the stitching issue if they were the ~$500 suits, but on the more expensive English Wool suits, it shouldn't be an issue. For a $1500 suit I expect 2-3 years of wear at least, maybe my expectations are too high.

Offered me a discount to lock-in the suit on my first visit. Said the words "if you lock it in today I will give you a discount rate". Turn up 6 weeks later a week before my wedding and am held for ransom for another $500 with James saying that he wouldn't have offered a discount. No invoice PDF was sent to my email on payment or any details of the total cost in the email body of the order confirmation. I had to log in to thier website to see the order which I obviously didn't do. If I saw the total cost I would have asked for a refund immediately. If you get anything from this place make sure you double check what you're paying. I'll be reporting them.

From start to finish they gave me the advice i needed and after a few final tweaks (albeit due to my fussy self) - all done. I've worn the suits for a few weeks now and cannot fault them. Having come from a business conference, I thought what I was wearing looked nice until I walked in and tried my brand new suit. Feels amazing, looks amazing, and fits perfectly. As a young skinny bloke whose last suit was a poorly fitting off-the-rack for my highschool formal, I am so glad to have scraped together some money for such an amazing suit. It was my first visit of this kind of store, so I can't compare with other places. The whole transaction went pretty smooth, they gave me plenty of options, they were open to my ideas, they've created exactly what I wanted. The one missing star is because I'd appreciate a tiny bit more of attention, as I spent more than a thousand dollars there, I was quite nervous about if the suit looked ok, etc. As I said, it was my first visit of tailor store, so maybe that's how it goes. An average experience on the whole. Their suits are Australian wool, spun in England or Italy, and made in Thailand. I purchased 2 suits and 3 shirts and the price was fine, but ultimately took nearly 4 months to deliver. Some of that time was planned, wanting to get the first suit right before ordering the second, but a month was lost because the second suit just wasn’t ordered. The customer service ranged from good to poor to surly and back to good. The cut of the suits is okay, though the degree of further alterations just goes to show that the staff who do the measuring aren’t tailors. TBH, the end result in terms of fit is no different to buying off the rack and having alterations made. They are great in terms of alterations until you’re happy, but honestly it's taken 3 visits so far and I’ll just get it fixed somewhere more convenient. They’re very much pushing for the lad look, which I should have been more aware of as it has wound up with me not liking one of the suits. On the whole it’s not bad, but certainly not what I’d hoped for

I have been a regular customer at montagio for the last 8 months and ever since I have had all my suits made from them as well as a beautiful cashmere overcoat. I have been more than happy with the service and quality and have referred at least 3 colleagues and friends to them. I went in last Saturday again to get 3 suits made for my brothers wedding and were greeted by a young lad Fred as well as the owner and founder Bally. The service was fantastic and Fred was very knowledgeable and patient and helped guide us through every step of the journey as to the fabric selection, suit styling and lining options as well as letting us pore through the myriad of fabric options which were presented to us from the essentials wools to the english wool weaves and to the ultra high end italian wool and cashmere blends. I definitely recommend Montagio to anyone wishing to purchase a fully tailored suit either for business, formal or casual wear. Their prices, quality and fit surpass all other small startup tailors and their superior service and comprehensive fabric selection rival those of the other higher end tailors in sydney. I have been buying suits and shirts from Montagio for a couple of years now. The quality of the suits is always excellent and the fit and feel has always been perfect. The show room is very cool, they have multiple styles and fabrics on display and dozens more that you can choose from swatches. If you are like me and not very fashion aware the staff are more than happy to point you in the right direction. Their service is very good, all of the staff are very professional and they make you feel important, not just another order number. Having placed several orders they have always delivered on or before the promised time frame. They have kept my measurements on file and from my second order on wards, I did not have to be re-measured. I simple came in to the show room, chose my fabrics and style and they took care of the rest. Possibly the best thing about Montagio is the price. You would be very hard pressed to find tailor made clothing and service like this at such a low price.

Had my suit and those of my groomsmen made by James and his team at Montagio for my recent wedding. We were very impressed with their attention and care to detail, so much so that my best man opted to have his wedding suits made here too! The staff at Montagio in Sydney helped us through the whole process, from the minute suit details to advice/suggestions regarding colour pairings (such as tie and pocket square combos). Their range is almost limitless, and they have fabrics to suit every purpose. I never felt like I was pressured to chose a different option or buy a more expensive fabric. Nothing was too much for James and his team, especially with the number of adjustments that had to be made due to weight loss (or gain, in some instances). The final products were fantastic, and fit like a glove. Would highly recommend Montagio for bridal party or individual suit needs, and I definitely will be making a trip back!

Natalia was lovely as she took the measurements perfectly and the suit fit perfectly as well. However, when the suit arrived , it had a fake button hole and no coin pocket even if the receipt stated clearly that I should have a real button hole and a coin pocket. This has nothing to do with Natalia as I understand that the suit has to be sent back to wherever it has been made but I wouldn’t have enough time to get these fixed before my event so just a little disappointed with those small details as I was expecting them to be there.

My experience with Montagio was fantastic. This was only the second time I had ever ordered a custom suit, and after doing so this time I would never buy a suit off the rack ever again. The level of detail in the initial consultation was just incredible. In the space of about 30 minutes I must have made at least 20 choices (or maybe more) about how exactly the suit would look, including choices about sleeves, collars, buttons, lining, fit and so on. The quality of the finished product was exceptional, and the overall experience was very unique. I don't think I realised how ordinary some of my other suits were until wearing this one. Well done Montagio, and you will see me again soon!

Where to start. Suit took 13 weeks to be delivered, and when it came in the pants were so short they could barely be fixed. Ordered 5 shirts, only 3 of them were the correct fabric - 2 were different fabric with completely different collar and cuffs to what I ordered. All shirts were too short, and too baggy. Onsite tailor took in the darts too high, thus pulling the shirt even shorter. Overall, a poor experience - poor customer service, uncompetitive pricing, and staff who know little about correct fit and the latest styles. Would give them zero stars if I could. Absolutely would not recommend to anybody. Edit: I did make my concerns known at the time, to which I was told there is only a limited amount of alterations covered, and any more I have to pay for. Considering you took my measurements wrong in the first place I felt this was a pretty poor response. I also complained about the delay in my suit arriving, and was told that nothing could be done this time, but that I would be taken care of on my next order. Again, hardly seems fair that I have to spend more money with you before being compensated for your first mistake.
