Had a pair of pants sent in for invisible mending. While the mending itself was done to a good standard, the overall service was poor. The pants came back with some large stains that were not there when i had sent them in (see the uploaded photo). They took responsibility for these stains, and i will have to pay for the dry cleaning (if they are indeed able to be cleaned). When i dropped them off, i left my phone number to be contacted on when they were ready. I was given an estimate turnaround time of 2 weeks. 2, 3 & 4 weeks went by without contact, and when i went in store to see if they were ready, i was told they were ready 2 weeks ago! Again, they took no responsibility for their mistake, as they said they called the number i had given, which is not true. While the work is undoubtedly very good, i would recommend you find another a tailor if you want the work done on time and undamaged.

I personally chose this place to have my wedding suit altered for the high ratings it has achieved and I’m glad I did. Maher was most professional and honest. He knew straight away what needed to be done when I requested having the suit slim fitting and explained that with my muscular build he would need to fix a few areas around the shoulder blade. Tried the suit on once it was done and it fit perfectly. The pants fitted nicely, the jacket was snug and hugged the shoulders. Definitely a high quality place, perfect for formal wear. I had Maher alter two sports jackets that my late father purchased in the 1960s. Needless to say these jackets have sentimental value to me. Maher understood this right away and made sure I was getting exactly what i was after. I couldn't be happier with the workmanship, Maher even kept all of the original labels, one with a hand written date of purchase. After repairing and cleaning they are basically brand new and they fit me perfectly. I will be going back to get more tailoring done.

It's my second time back and I've gotten a bridesmaid dress altered for $90, hemmed a pair of pants for $25 and fixed some holes in my coat pockets for $15 all within a week. Previously also altered a pair of work pants for $80. My bridesmaid dress ended up tighter than I would have preferred around the ribs, but not sure if that was an alteration issue or my own. Will definitely return.

I have had many items adjusted and repaired, including expensive items such as Chanel jackets, Louis Vuitton dresses, leather pants, silk dresses, as well as basic items such as jeans. His workmanship is excellent and he will make sure to get it right. He also has an amazing understanding of how clothes are put together and how to make the alterations to achieve the best shape, rater than just pulling it all in at a seam. Had a shirt and jacket extensively altered for an event that was in two weeks time, for everything that I was getting done it was very reasonably priced and Maher was incredibly polite, helpful and I got the impression that he really knew his stuff. It took two weeks for the alterations to be completed and I ended up having to pick the clothes up the day before the event. This wasn't ideal for me and I was worried that I wouldn't have time to correct anything if it turned out that things still didn't fit properly. Thankfully though everything fit perfectly and no adjustments were necessary. All in all I'd recommend them based on the helpful and polite service, their prices (which, though a bit more expensive than your run-of-the-mill alterations place, were more than reasonable) and the quality results.

This is a review for invisible mending on a suit. Tore a hole on the sleeve of a jacket. About 5-10mm rip. Before and after photos included. I dealt with Maher who was polite and easy to deal with. I was happy with the result. While his prices are above average, it's worth balancing that against confidence in workmanship. I would use Maher's services again for more important clothing.

Maher and his team did a wonderful job in altering my husband's suit for our wedding back in March. We'd originally planned to get a made to measure suit, but were unable to get it made in time because of Chinese New Year delays. So we bought a suit off the rack from the city and took it to M&R Tailoring to have it altered, after researching tailors online. Maher made recommendations on how the suit would fit best and we were really happy with the final outcome. When we came in to pick the suit uo, my husband wanted the shirt to hug a bit tighter around his waist. Maher informed us this would be a quick fix and to come back in 15 minutes. After grabbing a bite to eat and returning, the suit fit my husband beautifully. Will definitely return if we need more items altered in the future.

I went to M&R Tailoring & Alterations after seeing stellar reviews. I brought in an off-the-rack suit with two shirts for alterations. The cost of alteration was a bit more than I was hoping, but the customer service was immaculent. On return on the specified date, the suit had been altered but some minor details made the suit not fit my body type perfectly. It was an interesting experience, as it also allowed me to learn more about the variances in my body shape between my left and right side. In noticing this, I told the tailor and he was more than happy to fix this for me free of charge, also pointing out areas that could do with more adjustment I would have not picked up myself. Overall it took three visits to finally receive my suit completely fitted. Though the long period, it didn't bother me as much as I had prepared well in advance for when I needed it. I put it in 4 weeks advanced. Final alteration time took 3 weeks. I am happy with overall result.

Magician. When every other “tailor” in town said it was impossible to adjust size 58 pants down two sizes without destroying the shape, Maher did it no sweat and made it look easy. Maher and the team are magicians. Having lost 40kgs, my clothes required a significant amount of work in order to fit properly again. I had two suit trousers and a business shirt altered. I recently took my Paul Smith suit jacket here to be altered as it had become too tight after a couple years of going to the gym. Maher was incredibly friendly and helpful and gave an honest opinion of what was possible. He only charged me around $100 and the jacket is now infinitely more comfortable. He also sorted this all out in under a week. Highly recommended!

Put a suit in for tailoring. The suit wasn't ready at the pick up time. The pants were not complete and jacket not pressed. Was asked to come back later that day which I did only to find, shockingly, that the jacket was still not pressed. I had a problem with the pants also as they were way too baggy and it certainly was not that way before. Not sure what caused it. The owner was very rude and kept saying the pressing is not a big job and had no regard for the fact that I had to take time out of work to come twice and then I still had to wait for pressing the 2nd time. No apology offered on the 2nd visit. I had to get my pants done properly elsewhere. The owner agreed not to charge me for the pants. Very pricey for very poor service. Not going here again.

I have had three suits mended/rebuilt by M&R. The work they do is top quality. They were able to save these three suits (that I was otherwise unable to wear) including fixing pockets, full re-cut of the jackets, altering pants and other mends etc. They seem to be able to fix anything and work in a very timely manner. 5 stars, I had done my research on suit alterations before heading in, it was made obvious on my first consultation that this man knew his stuff, later to find out that he has been in the industry for decades. I trusted him with two garments, one of which essentially had to be re-built due to odd sizing, the end results were impeccable, an amazing silhouette that hugs my body without pulling from any direction. I was quite anxious to leave my new $1500 Saint Laurent biker jeans with anyone (yes that's not a typo - the jeans have a one thousand five hundred dollar value), but having a bodybuilder physique I have big thighs and small waist, and desperately needed the waist on these brought in. The staff at M & R Tailoring & Alterations didn't disappoint. Their alterations were perfect. They kept all the original detailing and still managed to make the waist feel perfect. The price also surprised me, it was very reasonable and I almost offered to pay more than I did. I highly recommend their services and will be using them again.
