Ana was so accommodating to me as I'm not from the city. I didn't have a lot of alterations to be made and not in a rush. She even did a very special alteration which was cutting a small hole in my pocket in order for me to thread my insulin pump tubing through to utilize the pocket. I would recommend her for all alteration needs.

Ana's sewing are truly magicians when it comes to bridal gowns, the seamstresses skill blew me away. My dress was entirely covered in sequins and not at all easy to work with but she made it fit me LIKE A GLOVE. I was terrified to get it altered because there was so much that could go wrong with it but she instantly put me at ease and honestly I am just so grateful that I went to her for alterations. And the price was extremely reasonable for what I got. Brides, trust me, your won't regret taking your gown to Ana's sewing, they are amazing!!

Originally I had a lot of apprehension about my wedding dress. It was made from scratch overseas last year. First time I tried my dress on, there were a few issues as I have gained some weight and the length was a little long as well. It also looked flat. I was scared of getting it altered because it was heavily beaded from top to bottom. Ana helped and reassured me that everything will turn out great. I remembered that my last fitting was memorable because after Ana addressed all the issues, I tried it on and that was the moment I felt like a bride. Ana is a miracle worker. Your dress is in good hands with her.

This place completely butchered my dress. It was a horrible experience. I imagine she will reply with something regarding the difficulty of the fabric but I thought I could count on a seamstress to not put holes in a gown. She put a huge thread for a bustle that has ripped three holes in the dress (before I have worn it) and caused a run across the whole gown; I have photos of the holes before the gown was worn showing the rips. She kept saying I stayed up so late to work on this.... Yes, it is a silk gown that will most definitely require more work than a polyester flowy piece of tulle--and I was willing to pay for that. I am so very sad, the holes and puckering that was caused from sticking the pins in, clicking the silk, is visible in photos. Do not go here. I wanted to resell this gown since it was over three grand but I don't even want to wear it anymore and therefore am confident no one else would want to.

Although Ana does do good work, she is extremely expensive. Make sure that when you go there for alterations you ask up front how much she is going to charge and get it in writing. She never writes anything down. My daughter took her wedding dress to her and it only needed hemming in the front with train left on (no bustle) and my daughter only had 2 fittings. She was charged $450 . I personally know that there are girls that took their wedding dresses to her that needed lots of alterations and went for 4 or 5 fittings and were charged $500 (only $50 more and they needed so many more alterations). This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Just make sure to ask up front so you are not hit with a huge surprise bill. Also do some checking around ,we have many great seamstresses in this city.

I'll start by saying that the alterations themselves on my bridesmaid dress were done promptly and seemed done well. However, I would not describe the staff as friendly. During the first appointment where she was seeing what needed altering, she told me that my dress was a bit snug in the waist. Thanks for that! I had honestly felt really confident in the dress prior to her snarky comment. The whole wedding I could not stop thinking about her remarks. I am paying for alterations NOT to be criticized for my body. Talking with another bridesmaid who went here as well, she too had a similar experience. She was told to "lose little weight" before the wedding. As if women aren't criticized enough. Getting alterations is NOT the place to have your weight commented on. I wouldn't go back because of this. Also, as a frame of reference, since they do not give estimates of costs, my dress cost $88.80 to alter. The other bridesmaid's dress cost over $100. The bride's dress cost around $500.
