(Translated) Worst motel experience in my life! I had booked with my boyfriend for one night, when we got to reception on mr. was very disrespectful and accused us of “faker” our identity (because we are both adults) even though we showed him passport, health insurance card, driver's license! In the end he agreed to let us in, but we left at the end because the owner was unprofessional. Accuse us of being a minor without even verifying our identity? I presented driver's license and health card. My boyfriend, he showed his passport and he didn't even know how to read the date of birth on it… Really not a pleasant atmosphere and welcome. 0/10 if I could give. A hotel or motel begins with welcoming customer service, but unfortunately this is poor. * I'm 18 and my boyfriend 19 * the owner thinks it's 21 for a credit card we think he's in the wrong province. Go do your research "How old to get a credit card and be of legal age in Quebec" you will see that it is 18 years old. You lose 2 clients, we went to another hotel (travelodge hotel) the lady welcomed us and check our identities at least. Not recommend at all the worst motel that I have ever been to in my life and we went to Gaspesie this summer and we did about ten motels. 1/10 * Photo which proves that me and my boyfriend are of legal age because the owner insists that we are underage even if he has checked everything ???? J’avais réservé avec mon copain pour une nuit, lorsque nous sommes arrivés à la réception le mr. était très irrespectueux et nous a accusé de “faker” notre identité (car nous sommes tout les deux majeurs) même si nous lui avons montré passeport, carte assurance maladies, permis de conduire! A la fin de compte il a acceptez de nous laisser rentrer mais nous sommes parti a la fin car le propriétaire manquait de professionnalisme. Nous accusez d’être mineur sans même vérifier notre identité? J’ai présenté permis de conduite et carte maladie. Mon copain il a montrer passeport et il ne savais même pas lire la date de naissance sur celui ci… Vraiment pas plaisant comme ambience et accueil. 0/10 si je pourrais donner. Un hotel ou un motel commence avec laccueil du service a la clientèle mais celui ci est malheureusement médiocre. * j’ai 18 ans et mon copain 19 ans * le propriétaire pense que c’est 21 ans pour une carte de crédit nous pensons qu’il se trompe de province. Aller faire vos recherches “Quel âge pour obtenir une carte de credit et être majeur au québec “ vous allez voir que c’est 18 ans. (Original) Bien que le personnel (Helana et Michel) aient été très accueillants et qu'ils nous ont suggérés des lieux à visiter et des endroits où manger à proximité, la chambre laissant fortement à désirer. Le plancher était très sale, le climatiseur bruyant, la ventilation de la salle de bain laissait à désirer, le matelas n'était pas aussi confortable que je l'aurais souhaité, le wifi était instable et les murs trés mal insonorisés. La dernière journée, au moment de notre départ, un homme s'est mis à crier comme un forcené et la propriétaire l'a sommé de se taire d'un geste de la main. Certainement un proche ou un membre de sa famille. Outre cet incident je ne peux pas dire, objectivement, que mon séjour à été mauvais. Lorsque l'on veut un toit dans le secteur à prix abordable, le Motel Deblois reste une option viable.

Our room was very clean, and had its own air conditioning unit -- it was very stuffy inside (no windows to open), so it was great to have it. We were given a room near the river, making it a lot more quieter and giving us a more peaceful sleep at night (the view was also fantastic). There was also a small playground, if you have little ones, take care that you keep an eye on them though, as it is near the river. The owner was great, very accommodating. We notified him of our later arrival (as reception closes at 11pm) and he was glad to wait for us. He also noted to call the motel directly for a better rate! Will definitely be staying here again if I'm ever in the area!
