I went to Anthony's after reading reviews online, knowing I was in a time crunch for this occasion and having had only terrible experiences with alterations in the past. I could not have been more pleased with their service or their work. I am extremely picky about alterations because I've been sewing myself since I was six years old. The only time I use other services are when I have too much on my plate to meet a timeline. Anthony is a gentlemen through and through, and unbelievably talented at what he does. The work was done correctly the first time, with amazing quality, and even ahead of their promised deadline. The pricing was fair and I will highly recommend them to everyone I know. The dress looks amazing thanks to Anthony and his staff.

We were going to a wedding and needed a suit to be altered in one day, so we came to Anthony’s. They did so much work since the jacket and pants were too big. We left the suit Friday morning and Saturday morning it was ready. The owners were super nice and friendly. Since we needed a lot of work to be done in limited amount of time I was afraid it might be expensive but price was really good! They also do 10% military discount. Thank you so much for amazing job. Wow, the turn around time for the slim sized suit (purchased two sizes up) for an athletic body was an amazing job. Off the rack availability challenges everyone, especially the tailors. Did a great job for my military son to attend his sister's wedding. Arrived on a Thursday and found a suit late afternoon, said they would be done by 4:00 Friday, decided to alter the jacket and gave that to them Friday morning and it was all done Friday by 5:00. Thanks so much. He looked like a stud.

They did an absolutely amazing job tailing my uniform, and sewing on the appropriate accessories per the military specifications and manufacturer's instructions. If you purchase a new military uniform and need it altered, I would definitely recommend them. The uniform I brought them was a Marlow White ASU, which needs some work after the initial purchase, and they did an outstanding job.

Very unprofessional. We answered an ad for a second item and drove an hour only to find out the owners of this business sold it to someone else when we had an appointment to view the item. We were not informed there were other interested buyers. If this is any indication of their business practices I would not trust them with alterations or rentals for special events. They are devious and discourteous as private individuals and could be equally so in business.

The intricacy of the lace pattern and the eyelash edge made this a difficult task, but it turned out beautifully. You couldn't even tell the bottom hem of the dress had been moved up. It fit perfectly, and I felt like the most beautiful bride on my wedding day!

I have used them several times and while they are not inexpensive, their work is superb. But the best experience I had was when I needed a suit fitted and hemmed for a funeral. I would highly recommend Anthony Tailoring & Alteration! I had an out-of-town wedding to attend and due to the pandemic my black jumpsuit was delayed in delivery. I received the jumpsuit with less than a week of the wedding. I was not optimistic that I would find a Tailor. I contacted the company and explained my situation. They worked me in and I had my suit perfectly fitted within 3 days. Not only did the suit require hem alterations but the suit needed to be let out a 1/2 inch. It fits perfect!! I will not go anywhere else!

This is the best place I have found in St. Louis for alterations. I’m a bigger guy, and off the rack clothing is often way too big in places and too tight in other. I took a pair of suit pants to be hemmed, my daughter was getting married in 2 weeks. They measured the length, on the tag it said no cuffs, went to get them, they put cuffs in them. Went back 3 days later, they were 3 inches too long, said they couldn't fix them because the tailor wasn't in till Friday. I told them I was leaving in 2 days to Texas for my daughters wedding, after pleading with them, they once again took measurements and said they would be done in 2 days. I went to pick them up and they were 1 inch too short. I had to take them because we were leaving the next day. They measured twice. put cuffs in them, made them 3 inch's too long, then made them 1 inch too short, most aggravating experience I have ever seen, I would never again do any sort of business with these people, it was very horrible experience. There was absolutely no customer service!

I had my wedding dress altered at Anthony's. The dress was completely overlaid with lace, with a beautiful lace edging, but it had to be shortened and I was terrified. Anthony's Tailoring was FANTASTIC to work with! I wanted to wear my mother's wedding dress from the 80s for my wedding dress, but we needed to change quite a few things on the dress - it didn't zip as I'm slightly larger than my mother & it was quite dated. Most places we took the dress too just weren't willing to do this type of work. Anthony, however, was up for the challenge and even threw ideas in for what we could do with it! I was a bit nervous that it wouldn't get done on time, but he assured me it would - and sure enough, I had the blessing of walking down the aisle in my mother's gown on 11/9. It was such a special experience for all!

My first visit..they are putting a new liner in my favorite leather jacket..and replacing zippers in two parkas with double pull tabs...so I can unzip from the top or unzip from the bottom to get in my pants pickets...all for 300.00..try buy just a leather jacket for that price

Stop researching alteration shops in the STL area and make an appointment at Anthony's! I recently got my wedding dress alterations here. Like a lot of brides during covid, I ordered my dress online, and there was some damages and missing lace. He was so patient and so creative with the way he fixed up the dress, I was speechless when he showed me the end result! The dress fits so well and I'm so excited to wear this on my wedding day! I was also very impressed with the way they handled Covid/social distancing directives. Only three customers are allowed in the building at a time and both employees wore a mask (properly and over the nose) or a face shield.

I brought my wedding dress here to have it altered. It is not a traditional wedding dress...it’s a simple, but elegant dress from Macy’s. After FIVE fittings, they still could not get the dress right. In fact, they kept making it worse. It was clear they didn’t know what they were doing. I finally had to take the dress somewhere else to have emergency repairs two days before the wedding. When I was leaving with the dress, I saw another bride on the parking lot and found out she is having the same problem with them...also two days before the wedding. Beware!!! Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

Sam and Roya are magicians! I've been going here for years and the quality is top notch. Sam won't let you leave until your dress fits exactly how you want it.
