Absolutely terrible. I wanted my zipper replaced on a coat and have it exactly they way it was before, but no they had to put it on opposite and leave almost have of the old fabric from the old zipper there. If I could put zero stars I would. DO NOT go to this place the ruin everthing.

TERRIBLE and dishonest!!! I stopped in there to have a zipper replaced on a skirt. It was a rush order that I needed done right away and I was upfront in telling her that if she couldn't do it then I would try somewhere else. She told me to return in an hour with $40 cash. I returned in an hour and she then told me it was $42. I quickly inspected the zipper and it seemed fine. I then went to put it on the next evening and noticed that she never did replace the zipper at all. In fact .. it was the same zipper and the same zipper tooth was still missing and of course got jammed and I couldn't wear it. She apparently jimmied the zipper back together to make it look like she repaired it. This is not my first negative experience with this outfit but I thought I would give them another shot. DO NOT USE these tailors as they are dishonest and shady and they don't do good quality work. I will never use them again and would never recommend them. I basically gave her $42 for absolutely nothing!!!

Incredibly inconsistent quality of work. Sometimes my jeans have come back great, other times it’s like they didn't even listen to what I asked for. Most recently I brought in a pair of jeans asking to have it hemmed to just below the ankle, and they came back going MUCH further past my ankle. This is also not the first time this has happened, it’s the second or third. They’ve also hemmed my pants much too short (I’m 5”2, not even sure how that’s possible) and had to lengthen them with what was left. I will be finding a new tailor to get jeans hemmed at.

I took my pants here to get fitted. They made them fit great and I wore them to a Christmas party. I washed them when I took them out of the dryer, the fitting had become undone. Now there’s holes in my pants where it was stitched. They’re ruined.

Dropped jacket for small repair. Been told that is $10 when cent to collect they charged me $25.

They had 1 week to alter our items and when we were to pick them up they were not done because of instructions were not communicated to the staff...I phone # was left but nobody even tried to call.. the quality was also questionable!!....not happy...will go elsewhere next time!!!

I can’t begin to explain the anxiety I have when I have high end clothing that needs to be tailored. I recently had my Off White sweater altered from a XL to a XS and you cannot even tell! You can find my altered item on their Facebook page! I have never had a tailor in which I was completely happy with, that was until I found the Five Star. They make sure my wants and needs are completely met and they exceed my expectations each and every time! Cannot say enough good things about their quality.

I brought a bridesmaid dress to them to alter and it still didn't fit, was swimming in it and i was quoted less than paid as much as i would at a bridal boutique and when i wanted it to be fixed they wouldnt do it. I still have the dress and want the to fix it because i paid nearly 200$ for the alterations of a dress that doesnt fit me. also when i call to talk to them they hang up on me! absurd! If they fix me dress, maybe i would return but if not, i wont be trusting them with the next alterations.

Dishonest dry clean service. I sent my top for dry clean, came home to find out that it smells as before it was sent, they just press your top and return without cleaning it, yet they charged you for dry clean! I do not recommend this store for any dry clean!

Took my snowmobile jacket here to get the zipper replaced. They were supposed to put a waterproof zipper in for me and they did not. Also the stitching was very loose and some of the insulation from the jacket was pulled out through the stitching. Very poor work and they refused to correct their mistakes or to discount the quoted price. Would not recommend having any repair done here. This was the St.Albert mall location.

Absolutely the worst tailor shop I have ever used. This was my first and ONLY experience with 5 Star Tailors. I brought in a pair of curtains to be hemmed. I feel that as far as tailoring and hemming is concerned, hemming a pair of curtains with a straight line across the bottom would be one of the easier jobs requested. Boy was I ever wrong. I ended up with curtains of two different lengths. And not only were the lengths different, each curtain panel differed in length across the bottom; half the curtain panel was longer than the other. In hemming the curtain, she had cut the panels (I feel thats pretty standard), but because the lengths of curtain panels are now completely different, I can never undo the hem if I wanted to move them to a bigger window. The owner/tailor didn't apologize for the unacceptable job but is re-doing the curtains. She would not refund my money despite the absolute trouble and inconvenience this had been. Not to mention, she took over a week to hem them. With that kind of turnaround, the job should have been exceptional. In addition, in light of this whole fiasco, I found out that two other family members have had pants ruined by this exact same tailor. Those jobs were irreparable and the pants were tossed in both cases. Use this tailor with extreme caution.
