AVOID THIS PLACE! Awful service upon pickup. I realized I was charged more per item than was indicated on the very visible price list. When I asked for an explanation the clerk refused to give me one, telling me the boss decides prices arbitrarily for each item. I told them this was not acceptable to me and I wanted at least a reason. The person dismissed me and said that they weren't responsible. I did ask for my items "quickly", but the sign says "Service by 10am the next day" so my request for 48 hour service didn't justify charges. In other words, they screwed me. Choose one of many other dry cleaners nearby instead.

Avoid at any price! The owner is rude beyond salvage, to the point that it made me wonder whether he took me for someone he knew and hated, even though it was my first time in his store. So do yourself a favor and find another drycleaners or tailor.

I was offered to compensate for the failure a meager $ 12 rebate (while in total I had paid the cleaning over $ 100 with taxes) on a NEXT alteration. It's almost insulting. "Oui, il est prêt et les taches sont parties," m'a-t-on précisé. Ce qu'elles ne l'étaient pas. On a tenté de me convaincre en me disant que c'était "moins pire qu'avant," que "ça ne paraît presque plus," et soit, nous étions d'accord là-dessus. Mais ce n'était pas la promesse qui m'avait été faite. On m'a offert de le refaire nettoyer, à mes risques. J'ai refusé. Ensuite, on m'a offert de le refaire nettoyer au risque de l'entreprise, mais ça allait prendre encore 4 jours et il y avait tout de même un risque de dommage et aucune garantie de succès. On m'a offert pour me dédommager de l'échec un maigre 12 $ de rabais (alors qu'au total j'avais payé le nettoyage plus de 100 $ avec taxes) sur une PROCHAINE altération. C'en est presque insultant. Je n'y retournerai surtout pas réclamer ces 12 $.

Worst service ever. Told me my stuff would be ready 36 hours after I dropped it off, then it wasn’t even ready. The guy told me they had “too much to do.” Ok then don’t lie about when my stuff will be ready? When I finally picked it up, they tried to charge me more than the amount on the original receipt. Don’t go. Might be convenient on your way to work, but don’t fall into that trap. Go somewhere else.

I really don't like leaving negative feedback, however I would like to prevent other people from having a bad experience. All I needed was a dry clean my almost new winter coat & the sleeves seams stitches reinforced as 1 of them was a bit undone due to rough usage. Long story short they absolutely ruined my coat. Instead of fixing the seam they altered completely BOTH sleeves. They cut & sewed a big patch through the sleeves. I had left perfectly fine coat and got back a coat with botched sleeves &what seems like brown & white water stains all over. They also ruined the fur on it.

Listen man, im going to be honest, we often clean up our shirts and alter pieces for our customers at this establishment and we haven’t encountered any problems at all with the owner, or the people that work there. They are all very kind and do the service pretty quick if you really want it, same day cleaning if brought before 11 with no extra charge? Sounds perfect to me! I definitely recommend this place as it is close to the metro and the staff is very kind.

Owner wanted to charge me 68$ for fixing a zipper. I went there because location was convenient however. Never again zipper he fixed is already broken (less than 2 days later). This is without mentioning he is condescending and racist. When i him i would go to my regular dry cleaner he drastically lowered the price and started a whole speech on how the Chinese do awful work and shouldn't be trusted. When i confronted him on pricing he said he needs be extra careful as it's a high end jacket... It was a 60$ jacket from old navy..

Long story but the short version - we agreed on a method of alteration for a pair of pants. He suggested an alternate method which i emphatically said no to. We agreed he would do what I originally asked - move two buttons. Came to pick up the pants and he did exactly what I asked him NOT to do. Ruined the pants. Got my money back for the alterations after a loud argument with him. Won't go back, doesn't respect the customers wishes.

I never do this but since I just had the worst customer experience of my life: The owner of this establishment in Cours Mont Royal in Montreal is a liar, a cheat, and a scam artist. Never ever give him business. The convenience of the peel metro stop is not reason enough to go here. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional in my life. He should be kicked out of an otherwise upscale and beautiful mall for handling his business the way that he does. A total stain and embarrassment for Les Cours Mont Royal. I am a business woman in Montreal and have been here a total of 2 times because it is conveniently located near the Peel subway. The first time I was pretty sure he charged me twice (once when dropping something off and once when I returned) but since I didn't have a record of it, I let it go. He also upped the price of cleaning a blouse by a dollar because, although not silk, it "felt like silk". The second time was for an alteration on a dress. Not only was the price a bit high but the hem looked terribly uneven, he refused to fix it, said he should have charged me twice as much anyway, and shouted over me through the whole discussion. He also changed his story about why he wouldn't fix it several times. First he said it was because I was bringing it to him 5 months later but when I showed him the bill dated a month ago he changed his mind and said it was because I asked him to hem it unevenly and now I was changing my mind. What??!!? Does not even deserve 1 star.

I recently got service from Alteration Karim and forgot how thier service was exceptional. I use to got there for the longest time but since I had change jobs It was no longer on my way to work. The service is fast and on point. They took the time to call and remind me that my closes were ready. Every time I go there, they always smile and call me by my name and I don't fell rush. Had an absolutely terrible experience at this establishment. I went in to ask about alterations and finally decided that it was too expensive and decided to simply have the clothes cleaned. He proceeded to get angry at me and started ushering me out. He eventually apologized and offered me a 'better' price. After I agreed to have the alterations done, he then attempted to sell me some clothes he had in the back... absolutely ridiculous. When I went back to get my blazers the work obviously had not been completed even tho he claimed it was. The sleeves were still too long and were obviously not worked on. He consulted with one of his workers and neither one could prove they had done the work... they had also not written down what was done... how can they charge someone for a service and not even know what was supposed to have been completed?? they finally agreed to fix it. When i went back to finally pickup my stuff, he again attempted to sell me his shoddy merchandise. Total sleaze ball. NEVER EVER go there... what a terrible experience...

At first I didn't believe some of the negative reviews and thought they were unreasonable customers. The fact is that if you're lucky enough to get average service you might not feel the need to complain but if you're unlucky and get the usual disrespectful service you'll understand why I'm writing this. He will try and take advantage of you and squeeze you out of every dollar. I highly suggest supporting another business as this kind of small business should not be supported and will only reinforce poor behavior and mistreatment of customers.
