I had a wonderful experience choosing and ordering my wedding dress from Shades of White Bridal! The consultants were all so helpful and truly made the experience special. As a plus-sized bride, I really appreciated the wide selection of samples in inclusive sizes so that I could get an idea of what my dress would actually look like. The salon staff are very communicative, especially given that COVID-19 delayed the anticipated arrival of my dress. Their safety policies are excellent and truly make it possible to still enjoy the experience of trying on a wedding dress in a safe manner. Thanks again!

I had an amazing experience here yesterday, when I went in for my appointment dispite the fact something had happened and whoever I spoke with over the phone earlier this week had accidentally booked my appointment for September 2019 (2 months ago) instead of November 21st, 2019 (yesterday). They did some shuffling and made it work and my consultant was wonderful! She had such good energy and really made my vision of a dress a reality. I understand that mistakes happen, but it is how they are handled that matters. My consultant handled it like a pro! I was treated like a princess! I highly recommend this shop.

BIG HIGH FIVE to LIZ she is amazing!! She made me feel so comfortable and at eases... felt like I was family!! She was super honest never made me feel rushed took her time with me. Together we found my dress!! I feel amazing and beautiful in it as well as my six bridesmaids did in there dresses. I have to also mention Lori as well she is very knowledgeable skilled reassuring and helpful with all 6 of my bridesmaids as some might know with larger bridal party's its like herding cats lol they made it work for all my girls Lori was amazing! The girls dresses hardly needed to be altered they fit great!! Ladies take it from this OCD bride lol... I had an amazing experience at Shades of White. Everyone was helpful, accommodating and above all, patient with me. I had been in to the store a bunch of times over a year trying on a myriad of dresses, including the one I decided on! I think I tried on every single dress and spent hours trying them on each visit. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and it's obvious that they don't want to just jam you into a dress, convince you it's the one and send you on your way. I couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies to take care of me. The seamstress the recommended was phenomenal and the dress fit like a dream. Thanks guys!!!

The best bits being that they have a really wide selection and lots of natural light. I was very nervous as it was my first fitting, and the woman that assisted me was very kind and assuring. However, we only tried on a handful until I found that I liked enough to try on twice. I was ready to try on more but she wanted to end our appointment on a "high note". They had scheduled a 2.5 hour appointment, but it was over in an hour. Zero follow up, felt rushed, but ended up finding my dress elsewhere the same day and the difference in service was really apparent.

Her spunky personality allowed us to warm up to her right away, and she was extremely helpful with finding a dress that suited my style. She offered helpful comments, and welcomed all my requests and questions. We were encouraged to look around the store ourselves as well and pull out any dresses, while she found some that matched my descriptions. Our appointment was at 3:30, and we were given 2 full hours to explore dresses until they closed at 5:30. Highly recommend this beautiful bridal store, the staff are amazing and the experience was perfect!!

My partner and I brought his daughter in to find a prom dress. Due to covid restrictions we booked ahead but had a large variety of times and dates offered. Booking was easy online; less than 5 minutes. We were able to send a list of photos, colours and preferences to enable the stylist to be prepared. We were greeted promptly and in a relaxed but courteous manner. The space is clean and roomy with a huge selection. Our 17 year old was new to the experience but our salesperson knew just the right questions to quickly determine what her wants were. Our daughter was a little nervous and was instantly put at ease and made to feel empowered. She and even ourselves, felt special and attended to. We came away with a happy young lady which was all we could ask for. Prices are reasonable; service impeccable. I would highly recommend this boutique and will be shopping here for any party dresses or formal wear in future.

I had been to one store before with not much success but I knew walking in I would find my dress at Shades of white,they have such a range of dresses to choose from you are sure to find more then one that you love, the staff was also beyond amazing Chris is fantastic I highly recommend her as a bridal dress consultant, she knows exactly what to pull, she seem to know my size with out my having to tell her, she made me feel beautiful and helped make the experience of dress shopping everything I wanted it to be !!! I went to Shades of White Bridal in hopes of finding my wedding dress this summer. I knew I’d be purchasing off-rack as my wedding date is in September, and knew my selections would be limited, but I was only able to try on four dresses with an incredible lack of help or service. I was pretty much completely ignored. When I arrived, the associate said that I had limited choices due to my wedding being two months away. The sale rack was indicated to me and then the sales woman left, not offering to help me choose some dresses or even direct me to what sizes might fit. There was a vague comment of “dress sizes are different than clothing sizes” and then she was gone. There were very few dresses in a size 8 on the racks so we tried to look elsewhere in the store. When my mother tracked the associate down and asked if I might try on a dress on display in the window, or one in a similar style, I was simply told “no” and basically ushered away from anything in the store that was not the sale rack. My budget was “hopefully under $2000” so I don’t feel that the discount rack should have been my only option. I went to three other bridal stores and all were willing to let me buy off the floor regardless of whether the dress was new in or old stock, as long as it wasn’t from a trunk show, and every other store made me feel welcome, excited, and beautiful. A very stark contrast to the feeling I got at Shades. We left after twenty minutes. The dresses I was allowed to try on were ripped and makeup stained. The final straw was the associate leaving to help a walk-in looking at veils despite the fact that I’d booked an appointment and with Covid there aren’t supposed to be walk-ins. If you’re looking for a dress, go to Blush or go up island to Nanaimo and try Bride’s Closet and Ladybelle. The sales associates at those stores go the extra mile to make sure you find your perfect dress and have a wonderful time doing it. Also - they are currently booking appointments so you are the only one in the shop so everyone can stay safe and healthy.

Shades of White truly makes brides of any size feel beautiful. I'm a plus size gal and I was worried I wouldn't find 'The Dress' because I know so few samples come in my size. My consultant didn't let that ruin my experience. She put me in all these fun dresses of varying styles and sizes so I could know what I did and didn't like. Then when we think we had the perfect dress for me, it sadly was way too small so without hesitation she put me in a sheath dress that was my size and then pinned the dress I loved to me. I couldn't stop crying because it really was 'The Dress' and she made me feel just as beautiful with it pinned to me as I would of actually trying it on, even the consultant helping me and the woman that was coming over to measure me starting tearing up too. Talk about feeling special! I never once felt fat or any of those negative feelings all women feel when trying on clothes. Every single dress, she made me feel fun and happy. The experience was everything I always dreamed it would be when I thought about dress shopping. If you want to feel absolutely beautiful no matter your size. Shades of White will give you that moment you always dreamed about when thinking about wedding dress shopping. I'm almost sad I found my dress on my first ever dress shopping trip as they did make it so fun

I would expect a small selection and only a few sizes during a sample sale but they had multiple racks of sale dresses in a variety of sizes My daughter was assigned a staff member to help her. She listened to the style she preferred and pulled dresses in her style and price range. My daughter found a beautiful dress that is exactly the style she was dreaming of and it looks like it was made for her. It was part of the sample sale and cost under $1000

Mixed reviews- our first visit to purchase the dress was amazing; the consultant was informative and worked well with the wedding group; second visit (consultation with the seamstress) was also excellent, but the third visit (actual alterations was rude, cold and insulting) The attendant helping us was disrespectful and felt the need to make her point. It’s a shame the last visit was a negative experience as I would have recommended this shop. I’d highly recommend the seamstress they use as she was amazing and accommodating. As we exited the shop to say thank you and Good bye, No one said anything to us to appreciate the business. Sad that this happens on a Day that you remember purchasing your dream wedding dress.

Walking in with my mother and my best friend we were met at the door by a 50ish woman with a smooth sales approach. When hearing we were looking for a non-traditional/colorful dress for a wedding 2 months from now she disappeared to "look at rush order deadlines" and then sent a girl to help us who looked like she randomly picked her clothes out of the clothes hamper this morning. We were dismissed and there was very little help from an experienced agent. All in all a horrible experience, and why I've been dreading shopping for a dress in the first place.

Very poor service, I didn't even stay for my full appointment. I was there to try on wedding dresses and needed to buy a dress off the rack as I did not have enough time to order one. The consultant had a negative attitude the entire time to the short notice (4 months before the wedding) and then to the limited sizes available. I am a size 10/12 and she made a very hurtful and insensitive comment about my body. I left immediately and will not return to the store. On a day where you are trying to find a dress that makes you feel beautiful and special a sales person should never be that rude. Very disappointed.

The woman that helped my mother and myself was rude from the moment we walked in. She asked what our budget was and upon discovering it was in the lower end of the spectrum became dismissive and condescending. She treated us as though we were beneath her. I am at the age where all of my friends are stating to get married and because of this experience I will never go back and will recommend that all my friends steer clear as well.

I have to say from the moment I arrived to the moment I place the order for my dress everything was perfect. The young lady that opened the door for me even without an appointment, to the moment that I met Amanda and simply the way she treated me with so much respect, joy, charisma and a great energy. This is our second time there and I tell you to not be looking around too much there aren’t lots of options in Victoria they are the best. Price was also a welcoming decision for my needs. I went to so many stores in Victoria and I wish this had been my first appointment. I am a size 14 and at each bridal store I would find three or four dress that would fit and maybe, one or two I might like. When we arrived at Shades of White there were so many that I loved right off the bat. They had a really large selection and great service. Chris was my sales woman and she really kept the appointment on track, as well as a very private and fun atmosphere. They carried dresses close to or in my size and I loved more than one. It actually ended up being a hard decision and I cancelled all my future appointments.

The experience and finding the dress was 5 stars. Many selections and I fell in love with the dress. However, the dress I have makes me give this place a 2 star. Here is my story. I tried on the dress on the floor and loved one. It had a slit, but it was so well hidden that no one would be ever able to tell it was there unless I stuck my leg out very far left. It was elegant. When I got my dress. The slit and my leg were very visible while standing. It made me look trashy. The people at the bridal shop told me I could sew the slit in and no one would see. So u took the dress thinking I could fix it. I am not a seamstress. When I took it to a professional, she told me that something was incorrect with the slit. She took it in, but when I stand the slit/imperfection is clearly visible. At least I no longer look trashy. Reason for my 2 stars is. Their floor models did not do this. But the dress I got goes. So either, the size difference makes the slit placed in a weird way, of there was a malfunction to the dress and I took it without knowing.

After a highly disappointing experience at a different bridal store a few days earlier, I was beyond glad we decided to visit Shades of White. Liz, our consultant, was absolutely amazing. She couldn't have given us a better experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable, she really listened to the vision I had, and worked hard to help me find my dress. Never pushy, she gently encouraged me to try a variety of dresses until I found the most perfect dress. She was also helpful coordinating beautiful accessories to create the perfect look. The store was very nice, lots of dresses in a variety of sizes and price points, well laid out and easily accessible so you could see what they had. They also had a great natural light viewing space. I never felt rushed and had the full attention of my consultant the entire time, unlike at other stores. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a top notch bridal experience.

I asked an associate she had a simple black dress I could wear for Halloween. The sales associate bombarded me with questions, and looked at me as if I were crazy. She then told me to "Try the value village or the mall". If I wanted a second hand dress, I wouldn't have went to Shades of White. Also wasn't happy with the selection of dresses at the time.

I went here to get my wedding dress and the experience was absolutely horrible. The woman "helping" me was impatient, rude, and would often take off without saying where she was going. I purposely booked for a day when the store is not open for walk-ins to avoid this issue. When I sent in photos of dresses I liked, not single one pulled, upon my arrival, had any of the elements I highlighted as what I was looking for. Any time I would try to look at other dresses, since the ones picked out by the employee weren't what I was looking for, I was quickly and swiftly ushered back to the changing room. This happened multiple times and was very frustrating, but I didn't know if this was how things worked (upon speaking to my coworkers about their experience buying wedding dresses at other stores, this behaviour is extremely abnormal). This business may say they have a large selection of dresses in all sizes and for a wide range of budget, however this is a massive lie. If you are anywhere near the average sized North American woman (between sizes 14-18) I wish you the best of luck at Shades of White. There were maybe 5 samples to fit those sizes in a decent price range, all of which were the same 2 styles. There was one dress that I managed to mostly like, when the employee had randomly taken off, but was quite low cut for me. When I asked about the difficulty of having it altered to be higher the employee gave a deep sigh and seemed extremely annoyed and put out with me. She finally had her boss come over who started going off about my request being very difficult, as it means they have to order more lace to match and the designers don't like to do that. I was told by the manager/boss that evening "just order a dress online if that's what you're looking for". The rest of my appointment was spent with the employee helping me pushing me to buy a dress online through Shades of White that I COULDN'T try on. My mom asked the employee to go into the next price range and show us what was available in a sample size. The woman took off came back 10 minutes later with a tight fitted mermaid dress; when I had already said numerous times, after trying on all the other mermaid style dresses she had pulled for me, that I did not like that style on me. I tried it on anyway and sure enough hated the cut. When we asked the employee what else there was she sighed and walked away. She had disappeared for nearly 15 minutes and returned with nothing. How is it possible they only had 6 dresses under $2500 for a curvier (size 18) woman? According to the Shades of White website they have a "huge selection of plus size" samples sizes. I left my appointment crying and felt like I was dirt beneath the shoes of the employees. I will never recommend this store to anyone. If you make a bride cry because of how poorly she was treated while attempting to find her wedding dress (the most important dress of her life) then you as a business need to step up your customer service! Thankfully, 2 months later I finally found the courage to try on dresses at another store that treated me like a human and made the experience fun and joyful.

A VERY disappointing experience. This store is very apparently one that is commissioned based. I was having dresses way over my budget brought into me and my consultant kept putting me in dresses I didn't like. By the end of it both my girls and me just wanted to get out. Very, very pushy and then when we clearly weren't going to buy anything, our consultant didn't even say good-bye, she just disappeared. The lighting wasn't very good for me to see the dresses once I was standing on the block (It was pushed into the walkway away from the mirror in the change room. That being said, there was a wide array of dresses so if you're prepared to be pressured you might like the store..

I worked with Chris, and she was an absolute delight! She listened to everything I was saying about what I wanted to try and found the absolute perfect dress that checked all the boxes I had. They didn’t have it in my size as it was a new dress, but she put it on a mannequin and showed me exactly how we could customize the back to be what I wanted. I ended up going to another bridal salon afterwards and they did have the dress I ended up purchasing in my size, so I did get to see it on with the veil. But I went back to shades of white to purchase it since their customer service was absolutely amazing! Definitely looking forward to working with them in the future!

If I had to choose one word to describe my experience at Shades of White it would be AMAZING! My consultant made me feel super comfortable and they had a very large assortment of gowns in all different colors and styles. After my first appointment I was sure I found “my dress” but because of it being my first time trying on bridal gowns I didn’t want to jump the gun. After the first appointment I did not feel pressured at all to purchase my gown that day, and my consultant suggested coming back in a weeks time to have a second look. During that week I had a very unfortunate experience at another salon in town so I was looking forward to going back to shades of white! I ended up purchasing my dress on that second visit and I could not be more happy with it! I couldn’t recommend this bridal salon enough!!!

She helped me pick out a few different styles which was awesome cause I didn't have a clue what I wanted and she was bang on! I spent quite a few hours trying on dresses and I never once felt rushed... I actually ended up getting the very first dress I tried on. Service was very descreet and professional. Even when I came in for my fitting and there was other brides trying on dresses I felt like I was the only one in the store. I just received my wedding dress from Shades of White and I couldn’t be any happier with my experience there. My consultant Brittany took the time to truly listen to what I was looking for and helped me find the dress of my dreams, which was no easy task as I only had 4 months to find and order a dress. Brittany was helpful, and honest in letting me know which dresses were no problem to order, and which ones would have to be checked for availability. I was able to walk around the store and pick dresses out myself, which I really appreciate as I’m a very hands on person. They have a great range of variety of styles and designers and are one of only a few salons in Victoria that carry Watters gowns. Brittany saved me the disappointment of trying on dresses that I did not have time to order, by taking anything away that was not possible for me to order and not letting me get my hopes up. She has a great sense of what order try the dresses on in, and was very intuitive to how I was responding to everything I tried. As a plus size girl it can be tough trying on sample dresses that don’t come in your size, but Shades of White has a wide range of sample sizes and the consultants do a great job of helping you envision what you’d look like in the correct size when you’re trying sample sizes that don’t fit. When I narrowed it down to the final 4 dresses, Brittany and another wonderful consultant Rayann, had great advice for comparing and contrasting the dresses. They gave me the right amount of support paired with time to think about what I wanted, which made making my decision really easy. Brittany and Rayann both took the utmost care in measuring me for my dress, and made sure that they ordered the best size for me, as well as made sure I was comfortable with any possible alterations. I just had my first look at the dress and I can’t wait for my alterations appointment! The staff is that fantastic. I highly recommend going to Shades of White for your wedding dress, the service is unparalleled. Their wide selection of styles, coupled with thoughtful, no pressure service provided by their talented consultants makes shopping for a wedding dress a true joy, something I hadn’t experienced until I came here! I really can't say much that is good about this store. The first thing they do when you enter is ask you to REMOVE YOUR SHOES, a strange request to be sure and quite off putting( I have been in many bridal stores around the city of Victoria and have never been asked to do this) Not very friendly when you will probably be spending thousands of dollars for a dress. I would go to Blush instead, they are warm and friendly and can't do enough for you.

This review is from more then a year ago when I went into the store to purchase my bridal dress with my soon to be mother in law. I walked in, was welcomed and immediately got in to a room to start trying to find my DREAM DRESS. I was in the store for over 2 hours and ended up falling in love with a beautiful simple Alfred Angelo dress. The sales lady who was helping me knew I was getting married at the beach in the summer and I immediately gave my "half" deposit and waited 4 months for it to arrive. I got the call it had came in and went in to try it on, and I took my family friend with me to show her how beautiful the dress was. When I put it on and stood in the sun light she had a worried look on her face and said "did you know this dress is see threw"? MORTIFIED I stood in the sunshine with a mirror and burst into tears. You could see EVERYTHING! The sales lady called over the manager and expecting them to offer to do something to compensate me, she looked at me asked for the rest of the money and gave me a card with the seamstress information on it. I left in tears and came back a week later to my "fitting" appointment. The seamstress told me the dress was missing the lining and it would cost me over 400.00 to get it fixed. I just paid hundreds for this dress. I asked to try on the original dress i fell in love with and it was perfect. I went back to the manager to show her the original dress and she looked at me and said "NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS," not even an "ohh no!! let me help you pay for this to fix it" I took my dress home and it has sat in my closet collecting dust. It was cheaper for me to buy a whole brand new dress that I LOVE even more and sell the one I have in the closet. I had such a bad experience dress shopping when it should be the happiest day in a girls life! I will never walk into this bridal shop AGAIN! and many people I have talked to have turned to go to somewhere else. When there are so many bridal/graduation dress shops why would you treat your customers like GARBAGE? How is that supposed to generate business? updated details: I went to try and get a response out of the management team no manager will return my calls and they have recently blocked me from their facebook page to block all contact with me. HOW MATURE!!!!!!!!!

I bought my wedding gown from here and they did an amazing job. At first they let me try on exactly what I wanted then they asked me try on one of their recommendations. I ended up getting what they recommended to me. They are very knowledgeable about what they do. I was so happy with their service I returned to buy my bridesmaid dresses there as well and they gave us a discount because I had purchased my gown from them. My experience at Shades of White was extremely unfortunate. Upon our arrival, we began looking around the store with my Mom and bridesmaids. This was the second store I had been in that day and had found a dress I liked, but wanted to try others on in order to be certain of my choice. Therefore I asked to try on my personal fave alongside others. The woman (who was cold and uninviting) then proceeded to tell me that I had obviously already found my dress and was now just "playing dress up for fun". Prior to this she was also very rude to my bridesmaids and was irritated with them for trying on a couple of dresses as well. This experience encouraged me to leave, drive all the way back downtown, and purchase the same dress from another boutique.

I heard rumours that they order a size up to make more money on alterations. This was definitely the case for me, except my dress couldn't be fitted properly because of all the embroidery. So it didn't look that great on the day. Really disappointed in them. I even told the salesperson that I wanted to order the size down but she urged me to order the size up. It's upsetting that they do this to so many people. Very dishonest.

I had the most amazing time back in April 2021. Hayley was helping me for my entire appointment. The professionalism she demonstrated and the cleanliness of the store and the dresses was amazing! The change rooms were extremely bright and well light and Hayley's attention to detail was wonderful. I had 2 dresses I loved but had an appointment elsewhere right after my appointment at Shades of White. Hayley was so kind to say that I could phone back after I was done at the other store and I could potentially be able to get back in for 15 mins that same day to try on the 2 dresses again. I ended up having an awful time at the other store and I couldn't wait to get back to Shades of White! Hayley ended up being able to fit me in for a full appointment again that day. I'm so happy because I found my dress AND it was on a sample sale and was 50% off! I'm usually an XL in clothes and I was so happy to see that a lot of the dresses were still able to zip up on me. My consultant was Chris. She was extremely knowledgeable in the way of different designers, and gowns that accentuate a shorter curvier figure, as well as being conscious of the budget I set. Chris didn’t hesitate to explain the layout of the dresses and let my mom and I pick every single one I wanted to try on. Chris was patient, courteous and funny. I’ve been to a few other stores where the consultant pulls items out of the price range “just to see if I like it” and it leaves you feeling cheap (because it’s not in your budget) and defeated. Shades of White has many different gowns available for all budgets (I’m not at all saying you can’t have an expensive dress if you want one and can afford it) as well they currently have a few items left in stock that are half price - some serious bargains I tell you! Don’t forget about their sample sale room too! There are some really nice gowns tucked in there too! Chris didn’t push to make me spend more money then I was comfortable with. I ended up purchasing a beautiful $2,000 designer dress for just 800 bucks! (Something that would have been completely out of budget and I never would have tried on had she not been upfront about the end of the winter sale items) Chris was funny, and actually had me buckling over with a few jokes, but it made the appointment so enjoyable and comfortable. She never told me I couldn’t try something on because of what she may have thought I should wear. Chris didn’t push us through our appointment quickly, she encouraged me to try more and stay longer until I was sure I LOVED the dress I was buying. Chris did not hesitate to inform me that Shades of White will store your gown until your wedding, where it’ll stay clean and undisturbed in a controlled environment. The in house seamstress popped by during my appointment to let me know we could easily make a few changes as needed at an affordable rate. They both let me know I can come back anytime to have some minor alterations done to the dress, IN HOUSE! (There’s about 7 inches of length that needs to come off) talk about less stress when you can “one stop shop!” Ladies if you’re looking for a Bridal store that has more options, more colors and within most budgets, look no further! You cannot beat the exceptional customer service, knowledge of seasoned consultants, as well as a no-judgement environment to feel comfortable shopping for your big day! We will be back for bridesmaids dresses and mother of the bride dresses as well! Thanks so much for making this stressful experience one that I would love to do over and over, if I was allowed or could afford to have several weddings to my fiancé!

My Wedding and bridesmaid dress shopping experience at Shades of White was amazing. I especially loved the customer service - all of the staff were very welcoming, attentive and were always happy to assist when asking for feedback on colour and fabric styles and ideas. They had several suggestions for accessorizing my dress that I never would have thought of on my own: including different belt options, hair accessories, shoes and jewelry, but were never pushy about any recommendations. I never felt rushed during any of my appointments. I was trying to come up with a unique colour combination for my bridesmaids dresses and they helped me narrow it down by explaining which designers and which fabrics would work best to coordinate dresses for my 6 bridesmaids, not an easy job!! I could not be happier with the way the dresses turned out, everyone had a unique style and colour but they all were so well coordinated and each of them loved their dress, which made me very happy! We have had so many compliments on our photos and bridesmaid dress colours (we did grays and pinks) and I could never have organized it without the help of the amazing staff. Of course, they also have a huge selection of beautiful wedding dresses and designers. I am beyond thrilled with the dress that I chose, but had a difficult time narrowing it down because there were literally so many I loved. My consultant helped me decipher between what I want and where I was getting lost - dress shopping can be very overwhelming, but they made it as easy and fun as possible! Their prices are absolutely affordable, I truly believe they have something for any budget, size, and age and are truly dedicated to finding you and your bridal party the perfect dress..Can't thank you enough for the wonderful experience!

I would like to preface this review by saying I've worked closely with Shades Of White over the 10 years that I have worked in the Victoria wedding industry - this review comes from my perspective as a bride who used them for my own wedding. I knew without a doubt that I would be purchasing my dress at Shades Of White - I have had such positive experiences with their staff over the years that it was a no brainer. That being said, the experience I had from start to finish was incredible and exceeded my already high expectations for their service. I am a street size 12, shopping for a wedding dress when you're curvy can be intimidating and disappointing. One of the reasons I was so set on using Shades is because they have a great selection of dresses in a variety of sizes so you don't feel like there are only a few dresses in the store you can try on. I was unsure what I might love, and Ray showed me at least one dress in every cut so we could determine what I loved the most and then zone in on specific dresses in those fits. Ray was awesome at pulling a variety of options she knew I might like and offering alternatives if I had feedback on a specific style. It was such a simple and fun process - I never felt overwhelmed or confused. The staff has great knowledge about what can be adjusted and altered on specific dresses which made it easier for me to imagine what could be done to the dress I ended up with. There really isn't enough I can say about them - I loved my dress, it fit great when it arrived and only required minimal alterations. Also, the price points on their dresses are awesome and they carry such a great variety of brands. If you're in the market for a wedding dress, absolutely give them the opportunity to wow you! It's such a comfortable environment, I've been in many high end dress stores where I felt really out of place and like what was available didn't represent me in the slightest - this definitely wasn't the case at Shades. What a fantastic experience I had at Shades of White Bridal Fashions! When I first entered the store, the staff were immediately very attentive, professional, knowledgeable and fun. The customer service was incredible. I tried on several lovely wedding dresses and before making my final decision, the staff offered honest and helpful feedback which alleviated a lot of stress for me. They were excellent with offering suggestions on certain alterations that made the dress look more personal and specific to me. The staff took their time with me and made me feel like I was their one and only customer even when the store was busy. They were also very helpful in assisting me choose the perfect shoes and accessories. There are lots of dressing rooms which are spacious with plenty of mirrors. The entire store has a lot of great space to move around, especially if the bride brings an entourage of friends or family. Everything about my purchase fell into place perfectly. The wedding dress I ordered arrived on the date I was told that it would. The fitting appointments were made at my convenience and the dress was completed, pressed and ready in plenty of time before my wedding day. They are definitely the wedding and bridal dress experts! At a later date, I purchased a beautiful evening dress for a different occasion and once again the service was amazing. The staff were most kind and helpful in assisting me find an appropriate evening dress. This store has a large wedding dress selection to suit everyone’s needs along with dresses for the wedding party including all types of accessories. They also offer a beautiful line of dresses for the mothers-to-be and grads. This is an excellent, well organized and managed store with exceptional staff. I highly recommend buying a dress from this store for any occasion!
