You must have seen that it has an average rating is high, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to rate when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set scores when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

A fantastic and unique service that was both friendly and professional as well as entirely bespoke as the name suggest. Excellent depth of knowledge and John so very obviously loves what he does as he speaks with real passion. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to engage a tailor for one off suit!
Just picked up my check jacket and it looks amazing! Thanks Mr. Bespokeman, you and your team are always wowing me. It’s been several years and your work just keeps getting better and better! G your sense of detail is extraordinary. I trust you more than my wife????
Just came to pick up my new custom suit and was very happy. I have been dealing with John and his business partner Sofia for about a few years and they have really opened my eyes on how different a custom suit made by them, than the designer labels I use to purchase at Harry Rosen and Holts. I'm about 6'3" and 260 pounds. I really have s hard time fitting anything off the rack, except the Bespokeman's hand custom made suit. It really is as bespoke as you can get! But, John is very particular about what is what! So much so, that his bespoke is something I am working very hard towards getting. Maybe next time! Enjoy the bottle I brought you today. You guys deserve it! Glenn
Within York Region, I dare say The Bespokeman is the best Made-To-Measure store you can get. Also, their expertise in fitting an off-the-rack suit is commendable. John is meticulous and welcoming. I surely will return as I have continued to do these past years.
I believe I was very rough on John. After all perhaps my expectations are greater then the sales, which he is actually very very good at . Thanks for all the help john. When you have both my suits ready to be picked up, let me know. No more money from me and no more drama from you I imagine. Lets be friends, its easier.....
If you want real help getting the perfect suit for your requirements, this is a sure bet! I am a first time suit buyer and they spent ample time with me trying several different sizes and styles to find out what fits and looks best on my fairly custom body type. At a downtown store you are likely to pay up to 50% more for the bespoke look. Most of that cost goes towards paying for the real-estate and some handsome young tailor. If you go here, you are serviced by John, a man with over 40 years experience dressing the everyone up to the rich and famous. Bonus he is also handsome. He and his executive store manager, Giovanna, will make you feel very welcome, even if you lack fashion knowledge. They will spend time to ensure you are well informed about your options and happy with your purchase. I know in the first five minutes that I hit the jackpot, but I spend a lot longer than that inside not feeling rushed at all. I very much recommend this place to anyone in need of a suit. The service and quality will surpass your expectations.
Great selection and quality, fair prices, great value and amazing personal service.
Thanks to the Bespokeman for making this custom jacket for me, I wore it for my business portrait that has since received rave reviews and helped me grow my career!
Update: The fact that the owner is constantly monitoring the google review and responding to reviews added another layer of suspicion to the legitimacy of the 5 star reviews here. Downgrading to 1 star from 2 stars. I tend to be skeptical about positive online reviews. The negative ones are the ones I pay attention to as they have higher probability that it is from a real client. I went to this store a couple of weeks ago ad I am shopping for a new tailor. The owner and his wife doesnt do the real tailoring, they are only outside to sell and measure. They have a lady upstairs doing the tailoring. I observed for a long time while in the store and witnessed the owner serviced a client. I felt he only says things to please the client and not honesty. He would wiggle the suit so that it "appears" more fitting in order to get the client OK the suit. Not honest, period.
I'm an investment banker and looking sharp is my calling card. I visited the Bespokeman and needed a fine custom suit made. I have had suits done in England, Paris, and Bulgaria and wanted to try a local guy to see if he would stack up. Well! John and Giovanna gave me an excellent experience and were spot on as far as measurements and style. The suit fits great and I received many complements from my well heeled clientele.thank you Bespokeman for a great experience!
Amazing! The level of professionalism and talent is fantastic! Took a few items in for alterations, all exceptionally done. Went back with more and couldn't be more impressed. Thank You!
By far the best in the business! Thanks guys for everything, I will be sending in my family and friends.
I have been a client for over 10 years. Very good people who are creative and caring. Always happy to see you with an espresso and a keen eye for details. Their standards are high and marginal quality just doesn’t cut it! So bring your A-game if you want the best!
Amazing service! Definitely coming back????
I’m going to provide my utmost honest review to this place. I recently brought in an off-rack suit (Hugo Boss) for tailoring (the suit is about half a size bigger than my husband’s size). The suit was a gift to my husband and I didn’t want to waste it so I decided to go to Bespoke (Richmond Hill) to have it tailored in hopes that a good tailor would be able to tailor it. Moreover, I want to shop for a good tailor so that I could use him/her going forward near where we live (Markham). The suit place that we regularly go to is in downtown so it’s not very convenient – we thought since we have an off-rack suit, maybe we could use it to try to see if we could find a talented tailor. The initial consultation was great. The owner and his wife(?) were very positive and charming. I basically asked the owner what he thinks and he was enthusiastic and confident about transforming the off-rack suit to look as if it is custom-made. The cost to have the jacket and pant tailored was $375 (plus tax) – I was fine with the price as I read good reviews online as well as I believe that a good tailor is going to be pricey. The owner jokingly told me “It is a bit pricey but if you want cheap then you could go to a Dry Clean, but we do quality work here.” I agreed with him so I decided to go ahead with it. And of course, according to the store’s policy, we had to pay the amount upfront in full, which we did. After a couple of days I received a call that the suit is ready. On the day of pick up, my husband was not impressed with the result. I was also disappointed in their work. We have a couple of made-to-measure suits so instantly we can tell the difference. The owner noticed our disappointment and went on a defensive mode and basically told us that the suit’s fabric is very boardy and they did the best that they could and asked us to manage our expectations. He basically lectured us and said in the long run we would lose money if we do that. He also told us that we should let him made a suit for us so that we could see the difference and their real quality work. I was furious. First of all, wouldn’t an experienced and qualified tailor be able to tell if a fabric is “boardy” on our initial consultation? If he knew that the results isn’t going to turn out great, why did he overpromised and charged such a high price and delivered such a poor result? If only he had told us to manage our expectations due to the boardy nature of the fabric, I probably would not spend the money to have it tailored in the first place. What we are mad and disappointed about is not the fact that they did not turn the off-rack suit into a custom-made suit. It is the fact that they overpromised and once they realized we are able to notice the poor tailoring that they did, they blamed the fabric. The real problem with this store is that the owner is dishonest. To be frank, I would have been more than happy to purchase a made-to-measure/bespoke suit from them instead of tailoring an off-rack suit if only the owner were honest about it upfront. In hindsight, it’s obvious that they just wanted to make a couple of hundred dollars from us instead of winning long-term clients. Did we argue with him? No. We’re classy enough not to make a scene out of it since he had another customer in the store. However, don’t expect us go to back there ever again. I will also tell my coworkers/friends/families to stay away from this place. I’m throwing the suit away after I’m done with this review. Can you imagine you purchase a bespoke suit from them and are dissatisfied and then next thing they tell you it is because you didn’t purchase the most expensive fabric? The fact that you have to pay upfront indicates the confidence they have in their work – they probably had a lot of unsatisfied customer not wanting to pay after seeing the results. The tailor that I use in downtown always allow me to pay a deposit and the full balance on the day of pick up.
By now I've used a few tailors in the GTA. Working with the Bespokeman continues to be an exceptional, full service tailoring experience; not only because of the sheer quality and fit of the garments themselves but also for John & Giovanna's expertise, professionalism, attention to detail and commitment to the ethic and legacy of bespoke tailoring.
