Here you will see the feddbacks of real people who consumed the services and products of Taylor Head Provincial Park (Tailor) near Nova Scotia (Canada).
As of day the firm gets a score of 4.8 stars out of 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is basically the best, and it is based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their review when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to write feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

Great trail...superior beach
One of our favorite beaches. So fresh. So clean. So cold. Love it here.
Beautiful hiking trails with various landscapes and striking views.
What a beautiful beach!
Great place for a hike
Love this park! There is a long dirt road to get to this beautiful beach but it's worth it!
Some parts of the trail are amazing others are quite muddy rough. Lots of knee/waist high brush so wear pants and check for ticks when you're done.
The beach is worth the 2 hr drive!
Very long white sand beach, pet friendly on leash, picnic tables close by
Great park and trails. Beautiful big beach.
Good hiking trails. Late afternoon hike is the best. You can catch the spectacular sunset on the west side of both the Spry Bay and Headland trails.
Gorgeous!
This beach is definately worth a visit and has a great hiking trail as well.
Beautiful sandy beach!
Romantic place to walk.
Beautiful. A photographers dream. Walking trails, clean beaches, crystal clear water.
My absolute favorite place to unplug and disconnect from the world.
This beach is a tropical looking paradise right in NS. Just outside The Halifax/ Dartmouth area near Sheet Harbor. Quite a drive into the beach area bit well worth it. Some of the greatest sunset views in the evenings on the way back out the road. Bathroom facilities clean and right off boardwalk by parking. Lots of parking and picnic eating areas. Water tap for washing feet and stuff off in a grassed area just off the boardwalk as well. Small but pristine, white sand turquoise water beach. Waters are clear and calm as it is in a sheltered cove. One end has a rock ridge which is off limits due to preservation of piping plovers. Lots of beautiful birds in the evening as well. Blue herons, seagulls, piping plovers, sand pipers... Awesome
Once in a life time opportunity
Very nice beach.
We went here for the first time to check it out and have a picnic and we were not disappointed. It was worth the drive! This Provincial Park features a rare combination of a nice white sand. Beach with hiking trails on the side. There are picnic tables, and lots of places to lay out a blanket for a picnic. The beach is not rocky but does have some remaining seaweed on the shore which is normal when the tide changes. It seems to be well sheltered as well as there was no wind howling into the shore like a lot of other beaches we have been to. There are a few different trails you can take. We were on a bit of a time crunch so only had time to do the beach trail, but we will be back to do the other longer ones. There are washroom facilities near the parking lot which is an old style outhouse. You can expect this to be no different than any other old style outhouse, so not the most pleasant, but gets the job done. It is better than nothing even if it is not pleasant, but if your realistic, what can you expect out in the country side? Certainly not indoor plumbing! ???? This park also has a very unique layout geographically. If you do the beach trail you will notice on the far right side there is a wall of land and rock that seperates the ocean from a fresh water lake which is the first time I have seen this in a Provincial Park. In addition there is also history to this park which was quite interesting. Overall, a great place to visit and spend the day. I know we enjoyed our time here and will be back ????????
Beautiful just beautiful! A must see!
Best hike in the area. Beautiful the whole way. Well maintained trails.
Beautiful beaches and hiking trails
One of my favorite places in then world! This is a beautiful relaxing place with a great beach and some good hiking trails.
This is a beautiful beach and has some great hiking trails. There are a few outhouses and changing rooms if needed. Parking lots have trails that lead to the beach.
Great beach! Wonderful area to be at with family!
Beautiful park with scenic ocean views
Beautiful beach to visit and it is not overly busy!
Beautiful beach. Barely anyone there mid July. Lovely park around it. Rickety road to get to beach parking and long too. But no biggie! The kids loved it. The boardwalk was great, too. Highly recommend!
Great Beach
What can you say about paradise??? The beach is pristine and the trails are well maintained
A quiet place the day we went, with off-white, smooth sands and a few hiking trails around. Some of the trails have very narrow footing such as the one to the lookoff so be careful. Saw some boats in the area and its overall a peaceful place to relax and walk. Also the bathrooms are outhouses and maintained pretty well, they do have a smell to them but that's to be expected. I'd recommend bringing your own hand sanitizer or wipes for your hands just in case
Great hiking trail in an awesome landscape!
Lots of rocks and lots of ocean! Absolutely beautiful!
Nice, natural, but not worth of travelling from Halifax
This beach is unreal. Could hardly believe I was in Canada.
Good local park
The water is crystal clear, and the sand is super fine and soft.
Great hiking trails and a beautiful beach.
Beautiful there. White Sand. Beautiful water.
Beach is good but no basics things
Beautiful place with a few different short trails, the longest being about 8km. It's often slow going as very muddy in parts, and the vegetation can get in the way. But the views are amazing, white beaches and pine forest, with the Atlantic crashing in.
Great day trip and trail system! Relatively easy hike along the coast with well marked trails and beautiful views.
Gorgeous beach with crystal clear sand. Trails could be a bit better sign posted
Beautiful seaside area for picnics
Beautiful beach. Quiet and calm. Water is usually quite cool. Trails are scenic if a little rugged, though fairly flat.
We love this beach, white sand, surprisingly warm water, and it wasn't packed. Our new go to beach!
Beautiful sandy, clean beach located about an hour from HRM
Great park. It has several walking trails, we did the larger one out to the point and it was not very difficult (be warned there is lots of mud in October). Not much elevation change. The views are stunning and vastly different from one side to the other. The Beach is stunning with soft sand and lots of room.
We hiked this trail in early June. When we arrived, it was a beautiful warm sunny day. We started our hike at the beach end of the trail on the spray bay trail(Red markers) The trail was a bit muddy in places but you could navigate around these areas. By the time we reached the headland trail ( yellow markers) the fog had started rolling in and the temperature probably dropped about 5 degrees.. maybe more. However it really did add to the beauty of the hike. It felt like we were walking along the highlands of Scotland. I loved it. We experienced a few different climate changes. I did have a sweater with me, but wished I had also brought a hat with me. The fog was thick and cool, with a strong breeze. I would consider the trail to be moderate hiking. We hiked the the large loop in about 3 hours with a few breaks for snacks and pictures. I would hike this trail again. I loved it. It was a great challenge
Great day use park. Lots of trails, beaches and places to explore. It's a quite park. Never packed. If looking to stay at a campground in the area I'd recommend Murphy's Camping on the Ocean. It's a bit farther than the other campgrounds but worth it.
Beautiful. The water was freezing as always, but 100% worth it for the white sand, clear water and gorgeous trails.
Lovely sandy beach, very quiet, a little on the colder side though.
Love the beautiful landscape and very friendly staff.
Great beach
Crystal clear waters! One of the warmnest beaches in Nova Scotia, I have been to!
Had a great stroll on the beach and trails
Beautiful and pristine!
We hiked the Headland trail on a beautiful sunny day. The trail runs partly in the woods and partly on the cobble beaches. In early June the woods were full of goldthread flowers and bright mosses, especially on the east side. There is a great patch of krumholz forest at the headland itself. Coming back up the west side, the trail is more rugged with ups and downs and some marshy areas. There are great views over the water. The trail across, back to the parking lot goes through low vegetation. There you'll see pitcher plants and bay berry growing up through reindeer lichen. So, it's a nice varied trail. Most of it is crosshatched with roots; some of it is over piles of cobbles. I would walk the west side first next time, do the hardest first.
Gorgeous beach and lovely boardwalk and education area
Very beautiful
A stunning beach with some excellent hiking trails, toilet facilities, change rooms, picnic areas and fantastic views. Taylor Head Provincial Park is on the Eastern Shore and is about 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from downtown Dartmouth. Well worth the trip! A scenic drive with lots to do on the way. Lots of parking, change rooms and bathrooms. Trails range from short and easy to long and more challenging. Swimming… might be for the more brave or warm blooded… she’s chilly! We did a family day trip and packed a lunch and snacks. A great day was had by all! Will be returning fo shizzle!
Worth a visit
It's pretty far out but it's worth the drive! The beach is a beautiful, white and sandy beach. There are nice walking trails and best of all, all them city folk go to the other beach about 10mins away so this one is a lot less crowded
Wild Eastern Shore beach.Fabulous.
Beautiful beach and a great place to spend the day with family
The Sand is soft and grey white. Beautiful place to relax and catch some sun. You can swim here but the water is rough at times due to the location. Hiking trails and picnic tables around. Good place for a day trip or a stroll.
Nice trail (we did Spry) and BEAUTIFUL beach! Clean, not too rocky, and almost white sand.
Worth the drive from Halifax. Parkngates are open longer than other parks due to birds and overall great wilderness. White sands beach and rugged hiking trails will keep you here 3_4 hours easily. Note that on a hot summer day, this place is always 10 degrees cooler than Halifax
Love this place
Amazing sandy beach! Like something from a desert island!
Beautiful long, white sandy beach with hardly a soul around!!!
-Totally worth the drive -My new favourite beach -Find sand-dollars all over in the ocean - great for kids not big waves - nice beach for walking adventure - scenery was beautiful
Great spot for a swim, hike or a picnic.
Beautiful calm beach
A great diversity in walking trails. Sea, forest, trails....it's all there. Nova Scotia at its best! Love the cranberries too
Great park! There is a great trail system if you like to walk or hike. I spotted some bunnies and a Big Beaver. Lots of ocean views with picnic spots. There are water and washroom facilities. Best Part...Spectacular BEACH
Great hiking area, always will have a spot in my heart
Nice place
Beautiful landscape. Trails need a little fixing up.
Worth the drive.
Nice trails, pretty wet this time of the year still. Nice quiet beaches
Beautiful place to hike, coastal and woodland trails. Also a sandy beach with very little waves so great for swimming to cool off after the hike. Common terns usually nest on the big boulder on the beach. Outhouses and change rooms and some boardwalks.
One of my favorite beaches in Nova Scotia
First time here; I had different expectations. The road to get to the beach is very long, and rocky - the trees along the road are covered in so much dust from the road that the trees look grey. The trail to the beach is nice, wooden with soft white sand. Once at the beach there’s beautiful white sand, but no ocean waves. It has a closed in feel. The water was freezing (in August) I can swim in most NS ocean beaches but this was glacial, haha. The parking lot is somewhat small. I did not check out the trails. On the way out we saw a bald eagle, which was cool to see.
Most beautiful place i ever have seen accros Canada...looks like you have step your feet in the Carribien...
Lovely beach and park. Water was frigid cold
(Translated) The landscape is incredibly beautiful (Original) Landschaftlich unglaublich schön
Such a beautiful spot. A good hike, but not too challenging.
Amazingly peaceful beach. One of the nicest in the province!
Beautiful beach. Great hiking.
Best beach in the province. Quite possibly the coldest water though. Worth the drive and the walking trails are great as well.
Taylor Head provincial park is well worth the drive (if you are coming from HRM). I hiked along the Headland trail on a overcast day and absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend wearing waterproof shoes/boots as the trail was wet and muddy. The coastal scenery was beautiful, and it was a real treat to watch the larger waves break on the rocks.
Fine white sand and very few people make this gorgeous sandy beach a new favourite of mine in Nova Scotia!!
Beautiful white sand, and usually not as busy as beaches in the city! Also, the 20km+ hiking trails make for a nice walk!
Great hiking trails, beaches and lookoffs.
This park is far enough from me (1h45m) that it constitutes an entire day trip and unfortunately we left too late to take full advantage of it. We did the Spry Trail loop. This summer has been so humid and quite foggy on this particular day but the weather can change quickly and by the time we made it back around to the beach the sky was clear and the sun was out. Moving clockwise, the Spry Trail is a combination of a narrow and a little overgrown Woodland Trail as you cross by the pond until you eventually walk along a bit of the beach rock shoreline and then as you circle back you're on a higher elevation with more of an ocean view. It was extremely foggy during our trip but that saved us from the Sun. The parking lot is reasonable but not super large, there's a tap with non drinkable water and out houses at the head of the trail. We'd love to come back and complete the headland trail and have an opportunity to spend some more time on the very pretty beaches.
Well worth the bumpy drive down the track to reach this beautiful spot. Lovely, quiet, Silver sands and warm clean water.
Great hike trail
Beautiful spot to go for a hike and enjoy the outdoors. There are some beautiful beaches as well!
Amazing coastal area and big park, very secluded area.
Beautiful beach for swimming and good hiking trails
Worth the drive off the highway along the dirt road. Most beautiful beach, coldest water.
Beautiful beach !
Best beach in the HRM. It's a bit of a drive, but it's worth it!
What a great place to do a hike and a gorgeous untouched beach #almost.
Great challenging hike.
Taylor Head is a beautiful little day-use park with great hiking trails. The terrain is not difficult, but varied and makes for an enjoyable experience. There is a picnic table at the mid-point of the large loop, and if you're lucky, is a great spot to enjoy a picnic with very few people around. The trails were reasonably well trafficked when we visited, but it still had that feeling of isolation enough to really enjoy nature. I highly recommend taking in the hike here and experiencing the local wilderness.
Such a beautiful beach!! A tad chilly to swim in but the white sand and Caribbean looking water makes up for it!!
Two hikes to choose from
The beach is very lovely. Surprised we hadn't been there before! Definitely going to be going there again.
Such a beautiful beach. Sand was so white and fluffy water was beautiful..to look at???? so cold so pretty you can't help but be tempted. The wash off pipe, change room, and bathroom was great to have. Lots of picnic tables and space to enjoy the day
(Translated) hot water (Original) Warm water
Loves it there ????????
Beautiful white Sandy beaches but the water is very cold and we are from NS. Lots of awesome trails throughout the park and taps nearby to rinse off the sand when you're done. Your car will get super dusty driving down the main road.
Beautiful Provincial park! The beach was spectacular, even on a rainy day.
Beautiful, immaculate, clean, white sandy beach???? Trails are adventurous and scenic ????
Beautiful. Check out Bulls Beach, which is in the same park. Much more private. It's all really great and the walking trails are well kept as well.
Gorgeous beach. Rather cold water though!
Beautiful!
Beautiful spot. Very peaceful.
Quiet, stunning beach. Worth the drive from Halifax.
It is a very fun place an always something todo I love it here and I will be sure to return
The sandy beach is the hidden gem of NS. Kids can play with sands and enjoy the water freely. Trails in two loops come with variety of abundant geological scenes. Intermediate difficulty as some segments of the trails may require extra attention to muddy puddles or bog.
nice day park with nice hiking trails and picnic areas, no overnight camping though
What could be better than a stunning hike and a stunning beach in the same place?!
White sand beach!!
Amazing spot but be careful. Sometimes maps/the national park website will say it's open when it's not!
Amazing coastal area. Beautiful views
Great park and beach, would have enjoyed a swim but it was cold and there were a lot of jellyfish
Absolutely beautiful beach. Very clean. We could have spent the entire day here!
Beautiful white sand and calm water.
The beach is absolutely stunning. Very clean, hoses, outhouses, and change rooms on site. The water is cold, but crystal clear and white sand. Trails in the area as well that are nicely maintained
(Translated) The most beautiful hike in the region. The landscape is amazing. I can only recommend it! (Original) Die schönste Wanderung in der Region. Landschaftlich ein Wahnsinn. Nur zu empfehlen!!!
It's a
Took around 3 hours . Listening to the ocean while hiking is great. I recommend good shoes
Well mapped out trails. Great views.
Beautiful sandy beach with clear blue water. Lots of jellyfish along the shoreline.
Great sheltered beach.
Beautiful beach, well worth a day trip
beautiful place
A beautiful shoreline, beach and trail. Quiet and peaceful during off season.
Excellent views of the Atlantic coast. If you are trying to find a place that is quintessential Nova Scotia this is it. Not very busy either.
Beautiful park and beach
Great beach but cold
One of novascotias hidden jems! Very beautiful not always packed and the walking trails are unbelievably beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous! It looks like a tropical beach with soft white sand and crystal blue water ( very chilly though). It’s a must stop along the eastern shore.
Great beach
Beautiful white sand beach, water can be cold but the kids never mind! Lots of walking trails and beach is typically pretty quiet!
Beautiful beach, cool water temp
(Translated) Great place for a day on the beach and hiking. (Original) Super Ort für einen Tag am Strand und zum Wandern.
It's a beautiful beach
Great place really peaceful
Great beach
Loved this hike and beach. I felt like I was in the Caribbean. Definitely a hike that requires you pay attention to your feet. Lots of uneven ground and small hills through the woods. Amazing views on the coast once you get through!
It was busy the day we were there. They had benches along the drive to stop and take in the view along the way
Its a beautiful part of the province . The only downside to this beach is the water is really cold . The kids loved it and so did my wife but it was a little too frigid for my old bones .
Clean and lots of trails ????
Beautiful park with lovely beach.
The park has a beautiful white sand beach that is uncrowded.
Well-kept camping and picnic areas surrounding the most beautiful beach in the province. Stunning sandy beach with shallow water entry. Pet friendly, with enough space that your dog won't feel like he is too close to be comfortable.
Love this beach!
Nice quiet beach with crystal clear water and fine sandy beach. Cold and almost no waves but great to go for a swim once you get adjusted.
(Translated) Very nice beach and the water is very clear. (Original) Très belle plage et l'eau est très claire.
Gorgeous fine powder sand and the clearest water!
Nice sandy beach but a little foggy.
Absolutely breathtaking view. A beautiful area to visit and worthy of a detour.
Beautiful beach and really cool wooded trails. The landscapes here remind me a bit of Newfoundland. Even on the foggy Day we visited it was a beautiful and unique place.
Great beach.
We went in October right after Thanksgiving and fortunately the park was still opened. The weater was warm and sunny so we did the Headland Trail. It's a wonderful mix of different types of scenery as you complete different sections of the trail. We had to be careful once we got to the eastern portion of the Spry Trail, as we came across four or five porcupines and did not want to spook them. Overall it took us just over 3 hours to conplete
Beautiful
Nice park with a decent sized beach. The trails are okay, but a bit overgrown when we visited. Nice views if you can get all the way to the southern tip area.
Loved it!
Great trail with wonderful ocean views
It's a long dusty drive to the beach. Once you are there, it is a beautiful soft sand beach, with pretty views.
Very nice trail, with the sunset on the west. Beautiful.
It was a nice day for the beach, not overly hot.
Great hiking. Beautiful nova scotia scenic views
Great beach and hiking trail
The sand is like icing sugar and the water was crystal clear and so refreshing
(Translated) Just beautiful. (Original) Einfach nur schön.
Loved it the beach was clean the water was clear' it's a nice place to spend a relaxing day with friends and family and your pet's.
Loved the hiking trails and the beach, but disappointed there is no camping
A special place!
Great waves kids had fun so did my wife and I
Love this beach
Beautiful beach, great place to spend the day!
There is an easy 5km gravel road off Hwy 7 to the main beach. No potable water in the park. Beautiful beach. Cold NS water. Toilets and a changing room.
Amazing beach with few people to battle for space with
Went kayaking with coastal adventures, perfect day
Great park, lots of hiking trails and beautiful beach. Word of warning, on the Spry Bay Trail, be prepared for lots of wet, muddy sections.
One of the best beaches in Nova Scotia
Beautiful beach and trails!!
Absolutely stunning hidden gem. Crystal clear waters, white andy beach and only a handfull of people. The only problem was there was a 'bog' odor, but only in some areas and probably depends on the weather and wind.
Beautiful white sand, clear calm water and amazingly peaceful. It was very quiet and when we went there was hardly anyone else there. We only walked the beach but next time we plan on exploring the hiking trails. Definitely recommend ????????
Love the beach and hiking trails!
Easy to get to, ample parking, great signage, washroom facilities available.
Beautiful - tranquillity - not a lot of people on week days - silky warm sand between your toes - worth the drive from Halifax.
Beautiful beach????
Amazing
Very beautiful place to visit and stay for the whole day
Water was freezing, however the beach was very scenic, and very nice hiking trails.
Beautiful park, great beaches and hiking with very diverse vistas and terrain. Impressive views, great way to explore Nova Scotia coastline. Highly recommended.
Pretty awesome park. Parking is fairly ample, the park itself is large. There are numerous trails and at the entrance there is a guide for the various hiking loops and lookouts. The water around the area is very clear and looks amazing. They also have a fine sand beach as well as coarse rocky areas. As always in warmer seasons bring bug spray and be well covered (I got bit a few times by mosquitoes)
Great beach, a bit far from the city, but loads of hiking trails in case the sand is too crowded for you
Love this place, beautiful beach and great trails
Absolutely breath taking view. The beach is clean and water is so crystal clear. There aren't a lot of people as well which is a bonus.
