My fiancé dropped his shirts off for dry cleaning and was told they would take a week due to Covid. Okay, that's fine, we understand. Days later Halifax goes into lockdown. Without any notice they closed their doors. We found this odd. We thought at least a customer service call would be done to give us a heads up & maybe even allow curb side pick up to grab the clothes. Not the end of the world but we definitely won't be back after still waiting over a month to get our clothes back and other dry cleaners still operating. I respect a businesses decision to close down for safety but at least let you clients know & offer to return their belongings through contactless pickup. Update: with below response, I called and just asked if they're open and was told they're open until 3pm today....? The number provided is also listed on google under a different dry cleaner. Very confused now by what "ordered to shut down means" when clients calling are being told they're open. also confused why weeks ago we were given no option to get our clothes, but now there's a surprise delivery option. I'm just all around confused.

I tried to come here in the morning and 2 minutes before opening, the staff member showed up the front door and told me to 'give her a few minutes to open up' and then closed the door on me. No thank you.

They are not a same day dry cleaner. I walked in on a Friday at noon and asked if it could be done for the next day and she flat out told me no, not until Monday. How is that same day dry cleaning?! Besides that, she was a very rude lady. Lillian’s Tailor Shop and Drycleaners on Dresden Row was happy to do it for me and she was very pleasant. I know where I’m taking my dry cleaning from now on.
