Here you have all the opinions of real people who are buying the products and services of Perfect Stitch (Tailor) in Niagara-on-the-Lake area (Canada).
Currently this firm gets a rating of 3.1 over 5 and the score has been calculated on 51 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average score it has is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's based on a large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the valuation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to give their review when they are happy, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Tailor belongs to the category of Clothing alteration service.
Very terrible service with no customer satisfaction. Woman in charge was so rude with an attitude problem. Definitely not worth it.
Super nice staff and they did amazing work on my prom dress:)
Tried a few times....was a bit taken aback when I was I told I'd have to "just lose the 5 lbs" because the type of pants I had didn't have enough material to be taken out. Brought jeans another time for hemming, explained that I like a snug fit at the ankle.....was told I wouldn't be able to get them on and off if that was done.... although other tailors have done so without question. Now I have two pairs of skinny jeans that are too wide at the ankle that I will need to pay for alterations again. We all have off days, but perhaps this isn't the best line of work for you. Listening to a customer's needs and professionalism are the very least we should expect.
It seems to be common practice to accept payments when no service is given! Con artist to the extreme!!! This woman should be arrested for fraud and theft!
I took my pants in to patch up a hole as well as my sweater to have the zipper replaced and I thought she did a very good job. My pants and sweater are both wearable again and near perfect condition. I'm surprised to see the negative reviews...but then again I didn't bring in my wedding dress ;)
Got my uniform and my Vestments hemmed here. Reasonable pricing and friendly staff.
No manners very rude didn't want to be bothered helping us
Good service
Took in a dress I needed for a wedding I was going to. The woman there sailed I needed certain things done so I said ok and left it with her when I went to try on after she really messed it up I wore to wedding but had to get rid of it after to uncomfortable to wear again . Was so made loved it b4 alterations
One star is still too many. My husband dropped off 2 pairs of high school uniform pants at Perfect Stitch located inside of the fairview mall in St. Catharines. We asked to have them hem lengthened as my son had a growth spurt recently. Pants had only be bought brand new this past September 2017 and Perfect Stitch handled the original hemming at the time. Picked up pants the following day and was shocked to see a thick black line where the original hem was, it was a line that was to the point that any professional would have said not to have bothered lengthening as new pants would need to be bought. I am not a seamstress and have no knowledge whatsoever of anything sewing related, I would have expected the seamstress to have seen this and contacted us instead of simply doing it knowing that the pants would not be wearable. She takes payment upfront, now I understand why. I was very disappointed because if she had called and told us, we would have simply bought new pants and had her hem them, she would have made the same amount regardless. I called her to simply state my disappointment in her business practices, not for a refund, even though I would have thought it would have been offered. She did not let me speak, got completely defensive, rude and blamed me, stating I should have known better and that she just did what was asked of her. I would not have known in any way that a dark line beyond a simple crease would have been there and all that I've found on google stated a decent seamstress or tailor would have informed the customer. She yelled, told me the pants were probably over a year old (they are in perfect condition), and ended up hanging up on me. I was polite, I was not asking for anything more than apology and I highly doubt this will be the last time and there is no way this was the first time she'd pulled this stunt on an unknowing client. I would not recommend her, she lacks the professionalism required to run a business and I should be refunded. I have the original receipt and pictures of pants. As a business you are the expert, do not assume your client has any knowledge of your service or product. Do not blame when a simple apology would have been more than enough. This woman and her business are ridiculous and I question how she's managed to stay in business.
Great service.
I had an issue where I was refused a refund ($164) even though no work had been done yet, but they have reached out to me and are resolving the issue.
Never understood when shops allow e-mail communication for custom requests, then they reply "Please visit the store" If you are not going to communicate with that form, drop it. Its poor service to deflect client communication!

This place is the biggest rip off and is run by the rudest owner!!!
Very friendly and competant
I would like to recommend Experts Tailoring & Alterations on Tremont. They are very kind and have excellent customer service. 5/5 would highly recommend.
Super nice staff and they did amazing work on my prom dress:)
Me and my mom went to get one of my dresses one size down and the lady was so rude whenever my mother would ask questions and at one point started raising her voice at my mom
Did a great job on hemming sleeves.
Helpful staff, great service.
Worst !!! I brought a dress in asked for " pockets " for my daughters grad . She did one !! For $25 tried to charge me another 25$ For second pocket . Very rude . Terrible customer service . Don't bother .
As they say/////perfect!!
Hemmed my pants
This place is extremtly rude and over priced. I called the lady, and asked if I could come in to fix my prom dress and she said yes. When I arrived she was extremely rude as she was busy and made it seem like it was my fault. After showing her what needed to be done to my dress, she told me she was going to cut the criss cross straps which was apart of the style! I told her no, and she seemed upset with what I wanted to do with my dress. When I left the store she quoted me 170$, I came to pick it up because I didn't feel comfortable leaving it with her; and she tried charging me 15$. I told her I was not paying for a dress that I dropped off 10 mins earlier that hadn't been touched! Security was called, and after minutes of arguing my mom mentioned she would be calling police. She yelled in my face for the ticket for the dress and threw my expensive dress into a ball over the counter to my mom. This is some of the worst service I had ever received, for someone of that age to yell and try to take advantage of a younger person is unacceptable. Find buisnness elsewhere!! I can guarantee you'll find cheaper & better!
This place is an absolute ripoff and extremely rude. I took my daughters prom dress in to be hemmed on May 13, and was told we could pick it up nine days later on May 22. We were advised you had to pay up front and the fee was $125 plus tax!! I thought since they claimed to specialize in formal wear it was costly but be done properly. Was I wrong. When we returned for the dress NINE days later it was only hemmed in the back and the front left untouched. We were told it would be fixed and we said that it was now two days prior to the event and wanted assurance that it could be done the next day. They said that we would have to call the next day after 10 am as they couldn’t answer that. This caused us much stress spending $300 on a dress and $141 after tax to hem it and the possibility it was a waste of money if the dress was not done. The next morning I called, no apology given, just that it would be done before the end of the day. When we went to pick it up we were ignored a good 5-10 min and she just handed us the dress and walked away. I had my daughter try it on again before leaving and it was a horrible job, still uneven and not the proper length but it was better than an unfinished hem. They don’t give refunds because your satisfaction is guaranteed ????. This place is a total rip off, take your business elsewhere!
Took two dresses in for hemming but after being told how much it would cost (69,00) told the woman not to hem I would pick up my dresses the next day. When I went in to pick them up she literally threw them at me. Very rude and will definately not be using her services ever. You would think that a woman of her age would have a few more manners when dealing with customers.
I got my prom dress hemmed here and a slit added to it. I loved the service and was very happy with the results!
Hemmed my dress pants for me last minute when all others said no. I've been here many times and have always been greeted with a smile and taken care of all my needs. Love these guys! Keep up the good work!
No manners very rude didn't want to be bothered helping us
I had the hem lengthened on a pair of pants and received excellent service. Very friendly, quality job done within an hour at a reasonable price (around $15).
Great spot to have alterations done to new ir old clothes.
Poor service and they overcharge
Did a great job on my summer dress for fixing the straps
