My boyfriend needed a new suit for a number of weddings we had coming up and decided to go to Master Tailor. I was blown away with how amazing the whole experience was! He had never invested in a proper suit so he was a little hesitant but Shabir was able to help him find something he felt comfortable and confidant in. The quality of the suit is beautiful and he always receives compliments whenever he wears it. I would definitely recommend Master Tailor to anyone who's looking for a great product with an elevated experience!

Master Tailor is awesome! I bought a chiffon wedding dress that I needed altered. I was looking to get the train of the dress removed/ hem the gown ( I don't like the look of a bustle). I contacted multiple alterations companies in the area but was quoted high fees and crazy long turn around times. Called up Master Tailor and they said to stop in anytime. Came on a Thursday early afternoon - they pinned and trimmed the dress and told me it would be done by the next day! Sure enough, I showed up friday afternoon and it was ready and perfect! I tried it on and it looked absolutely amazing! I will definitely be back!

First time cleaning my Monclear jacket and Master Tailor did not disappoint. The jacket took about 2weeks ish to be cleaned because it had to be cleaned by there specialist, but when I went to pick up the jacket it looked as good as new. I live in downtown but heard many great reviews about them and couldn't take a chance with my wedding dress with regular tailors so I came to see the Master For my wedding, I bought a non traditional beaded gown. As a petite women, I needed significant alterations on the straps and sides. From the moment I came into their shop with my dress, Hajjy made me feel at ease about the tailoring process. With just one fitting, he was able to make the dress look great on and make me feel confident! I looked absolutely stunning and was comfortable wearing the dress on my wedding day. I also brought bridesmaid dress with a deep plunge neckline. Hajjy to needed to reshape the whole top of the dress. He did this wonderfully and again I left Master Tailor feeling great! I'd highly recommend Master Tailor to anyone looking for an experienced tailor with a great eye for dresses !

Dropped off a suit for alterations two weeks ago. had a thorough evaluation and pointed out all that needed to be fixed which they noted down. went in today to pick it up and the job was incomplete. they tried to say it hadn’t been discussed and then said would charge me $50 extra to finish it. AVOID!

The dry cleaning service is amazing. The owner is so nice and helpful. My fiance brought in my wedding dress and his suit before our big day (sept 19). For my dress I wanted a quick steam, but he pointed out that it needed a clean- We hasnt noticed that it had scuff marks on it! He kept my dress covered so it would stay a surprise for my now husband and I. When I got my dress back and put it on - it was glowing. I felt so beautiful and I know that it was because of the great work done here. My husbands suit was also cleaned so nicely. Would recommend and go back again.

Took my suit jacket to get dry cleaned and they completely butchered it. The color was leaking and one of the buttons from my sleeves was missing. They even went as far as re-buttoning the sleeves to mask that one of the buttons has takenf off. The customer service is good sure but the work is not.

Hajjy was a life saver! My dress took 8 months to get in and when I got it 1 month before the wedding it was almost 2 sizes too big. The bridal boutique in downtown I got my dress from recommended Master Tailor. Multiple alteration places turned me down because they said I didn't have enough time for alterations, but Hajjy and his team made it happen. Not only did he make it happen, his work is amazing. My dress was ALL lace and he hand-sewed every little detail. As any bride would be, I was a little nervous making so many changes to the dress so close to the wedding, but Hajjy and his team took the time to walk me through the process and made me feel at ease. He also helped me re-do my mom's veil, which was so special. Not only is his work amazing, but the experience was great. Thank you so much!

I brought two of coats, BOTH BRAND NEW, one costing $336 and the other costing $250 to this cleaner, they were super nice people and service was great until I picked up my coats today. The coat costing $336 was visibly damaged and both of the owners told me that I brought in a dirty jacket, that they cannot remove all stains, they are not in charge of the machine used and they are not inside of the machine either to see if it damages coats. They also explained that their machine has damaged other people’s items and they cannot do anything for that. That this is my problem. In addition, another customer came to pick up his coat and I asked him to look at the jacket. He told both myself and the owner’s wife that my jacket is visibly damaged while her husband grabbed his item from the back. When I explained this to the owner (husband) after he dealt with said customer, his wife denied the customer said anything to her. I expressed to them that my coat costs $336 and they must compensate me as my jacket was brand new when I bought it in with no stains or damages. They told me that they were not going to compensate me and that they were not at fault. This is absolutely ridiculous, I will not being using them again, neither will I recommend anyone to them.

Brought in my shirts and suits in for cleaning, that had stains on them from food and wine. The owner told me that they would try his best to remove the stains. I returned back in 3 days and the shirts were spotless and pressed perfectly and it was like magic how they removed the stain. Great service and great people, definitely will be returning back and will recommend anyone for their dry cleaning and alteration needs.

I found Hajjy & Sons online, while contacting Master Tailor & Cleaners hoping for a custom bespoke suit that would really fit perfectly. I'll be a lifelong customer. Shabir was very helpful, from my first call through following up about maintenance. He knows his stuff. Basir helped me pick out fabrics, and I went with a grey Zegna - a great quality and not as expensive as I was ready to pay. Basir and the Master Tailor Hajjy fitted me, the whole process was easy and they were very honest and professional. As a younger guy looking for my second custom suit, I felt comfortable right away. The first fitting sold me. This suit is perfect, right on the first try, and I don't say that lightly. I'd never looked that good, and the fit is slim and modern without any tight spots. I'm all confidence in this thing. No alterations needed, first time working with them, and a quick manufacturing time (made in Toronto). I recommend Hajjy & Sons to anyone, you can't do better period (and the price is good.) They also did a great job on my suits and shirts dry cleaning.Thank you!

Great Service and absolutely fantastic tailors. I came with my daughters prom dress and it was too big and the tailor was able to make some initial adjustments. After the second fitting we asked them to make some more adjustments and they said no problem and made the changes without charging extra. My daughter was happy with her dress and the fit and I found the best tailor in Scarborough and they are a family run business so its great to support families. Great job Master and his team !!!

So my wife and I, after last minute changes by my brother for his wedding, needed a few items (dress, suit, and a pair of pants) altered. We found Master Tailor initially through a coworker and also Google. Can't say anything more then THANK YOU!! The alterations were done perfectly to everything and done within the time frame that Hajjy told us. A friendly individual whose quality of workmanship is incredible. I started using Master Tailor and cleaner based on the Google reviews. I wear a lot of dress shirts for work, so I need a good dry cleaner. I used them 1 other time without incident. Yesterday, I picked up the 9 dress shirts I had done. I tried one one of them on this morning and I noticed there were visible oil-like stains on different parts of the shirt. I had this problem with previous dry cleaners before so I took the shirt to back and spoke to the owner Hajji. I thought he would see it, apologize and have it re-done. When I got there he looked at the shirt and repeatedly said he couldn't see any stains. I had to physically change into the shirt to show him the marks. He took no accountability for these stains caused by his cleaning solvent. When he saw it, he said that these stains were caused by myself - perhaps by food or perfume. I showed these oil marks were on the front and back of the shirt and I explained to him that when I dropped the shirt it did not have these stains. He accused me of "not remembering" the stains on the and that he "was offended" that I was suggesting it was caused by his cleaning solvent/process. He then reluctantly said he would clean the shirt again but couldn't "make any promises." He tried to make me feel like I did something wrong. I declined his late offer, took my shirt back and left. This place lost my business and I will not recommend them.

Several months ago I decided to invest in my first bespoke suit for my wedding. After researching my options, my decision led me to Master Tailor. Hajjy and Basir are amazing tailors and a top notch professionals. They guided this novice through the selection process, provided suggestions and took an abundant amount of measurements. After six weeks passed, I was presented with my personal master-piece. Basir initially asked me what I was envisioning and then turned it into a reality. We looked through the fabric selection, suit lining, customization options and more. I highly recommend getting a custom dress shirt made. That was a game changer. Basir created a beautiful white herringbone dress shirt with french cuffs. He also personalized my suit jacket, pants, and dress shirts with my initials, which was a nice touch. Got my first ever Bespoke Suit and they did not disappoint. The prices and fabrics they have is much better quality the other custom suit tailors in Toronto. These guys clearly understand the art of tailoring, it's worth every penny for the personal approach and final product which you walk away with. horrible service. after they messed up the fit of my pants they decide it was my fault that it doesnt fit because the pants were too small to begin with. why make me try it on and do the work if you already know it wouldnt fit? crooks! never coming back again. if you want to take the chance go ahead but believe me, if they make a mistake altering your clothes. you'll be forced to pay to pretty much throw that garment in the garbage. the 4.5 rating is a lie!

I had my blazers and dress pants tailored here, the owners fully understood what I wanted and made an exact fit to my height and weight. Before, the clothes were baggy and made me lool short, but after the tailoring I got the perfect fit that was very slimming. Amazing job and service, price was well worth it. Got 2 pairs of pants tapered and hemmed. They did a decent job. Only thing that stops this from rating higher is the prices as well as minor difference in the taper of which were measured to look the same when completed. Nothing to cry about... overall decent place. Very friendly people.

EDIT: STAY AWAY! Editing my review to one star for two reasons. 1. I Have read other peoples reviews that the owner charges different prices based on how he feels or what he can get. My pant tailer and taper went from $20 on my first visit to $34. He wanted to charge me nearly $70 for two alterations across a pair of jeans and a button up. When I objected, he slashed it down a bit but the fact that there is no listed price is reason enough to stay away. 2. I dropped off my items on a Tuesday morning, and was told I could have them next Tuesday. This is longer than I would like but I suppose they're busy and this is reasonable. I came the following Tuesday, and he told me the items were almost done and they would be fully finished for two. I asked to see the items to see if they were actually being done, and sure enough, they hadn't evens started. The owner was chatting away and not working. They had the items for a week and didn't even begin, then tried to lie about them being worked on. I will not be returning to this sketchy tailor. First time getting basic items tailored (sweaters, jeans etc) & I was not disappointed. Pristine tailoring with no imperfections. Very professional, friendly and helpful staff. Very happy with my experience here and it was worth every penny.

My bf And I both didn’t know anything about custom suits, so Basir took us through the step by step process, making recommendations on what he thought would look good at the event that would compliment my outfit as well. They had a great selection of Fabrics and we were able to find the perfect shade of blue that we were looking for. Answered all my questions and gave me an appointment with the Master Tailor When I went to the store, I met the Tailor, Hajjy. He was very helpful and explained the best method to proceed with the alteration of my daughter’s prom dress. After the alteration was done, my daughter looked absolutely amazing! My daughter had a grad dress that needed to be altered last minute I brought it to these guys and they saved her plus the price was awesome. Hands down you guys are the best. They even fixed my whole zipper kn my coat which saved me from buying a new coat and got out the oil stains on my white dress which they cleaned twice just to make sure I was satisfied.

Yess! I finally found a place that -no jokes- are masters of alterations. I asked if they altered even the smallest things and they do! They alter almost everything from bridal and suits to plain t-shirts and jeans! The place is filled with so many other clients but consultations took only less than 10 minutes! The tailors there really do know what needs to be altered even without you needing to tell them. May I also add how friendly the front desk lady was! When I came back for pick up, the garments fit me perfectly! I left feeling satisfied! I recommend getting all and I mean ALL your alterations done here: no regrets!

I took in a pair of bell bottom jeans to have the legs narrowed. Their professional, honest, and pleasant customer service made me happy to return again to have a silk dress treated. In no time at all they were able to remove most of the oil stains from the silk and save my dress for me to wear to a wedding that night! I had previously had the dress dry cleaned at a different place and got no results back. So I was amazed. I was satisfied with the jeans. They weren't able to be narrowed as much as I was hoping, but I'll wear these straight cuts outside. I appreciate that when I returned the owner and son explained to me the risk of narrowing the pants further without any fuss. 4.5 stars. Visit them first. I haven't been to other tailors to compare, but prices seemed reasonable.

I had a dress that did not fit properly anymore (I slimmed down). My brother is a frequent customer and recommended this place. I could not go in person to get it fitted, so I used safety pins to pin it to my current size. My brother took it to them, and in a week it was ready! It fits perfectly now, service is very efficient. Will come to them again with other alterations and dry cleaning in the future.

Bad experience lost 45 dollars.They did not done proper cleaning to my suit,long coat and shirts.Even the press/ironing was with lot of creases. The sale person kept on saying not our fault that's how the clothes are!???? everything was branded.Not recommended for any services.

I bought a Suit from Master Tailor, great price and the alteration of the pants was free. I needed it right away and so the tailor made sure that the suit perfectly-fitted me, measured me up and did the alteration right on the spot. I bought a suit for my graduation, but the pants were one size too big. So I brought them to Master Tailor to get them altered. I needed them to be tapered, shortened and taken in. Went in there for a suit alteration. Mr Hajji is an expert and a very nice man. He fixed a mess that another tailor made when shortening the sleeve of my $1000+ suit jacket and also tapered my suit jacket arms to give it the perfect fit. He did it for a reasonable price and in one day since I was in a hurry. Will definitely be going back for any future alterations!

Jacket alterations are very expensive here. $60 to let out a suit jacket amd $35 to shorten sleeves! That's $95 + tax! Save your money and buy a new jacket. Not worth it. Definitely a learning experience. Owner could also use a mint.

I will make sure to never visit this guys shop again. First thing thats a red flag is they dont advertise their prices anywhere on signs, paper, etc. What he does is when you go in he will give different ppl different prices based on how you look/dressed, etc. He also lies to you and says "for you i will do for $_____ but for someone else I'd charge them $______ (little higher price). First time i was at his shop he hemmed a pair of pants for me, when i came to try it on it was too short but he insisted it looked "professional" and refused to redo them. In turn, i had to go to another tailor to have them redone and they added some material on the inside cuff of the pant to lengthen it. another time i came in i was wearing track pants and a winter jacket and he quoted me a price for alterations, and then when i came in with the clothing about 2 weeks later (but I was wearing a nice suit this time) he quoted me a significantly higher price. also, i left 2 pants for him and without my permission he did some extra alterations to it and claimed he will give me "special pricing", even though i didnt ask for those alterations, then demanded that I pay him for them and he said the best he can do is take cash from me to avoid taxes. Whatever you do, make sure you get detailed quotes from him BEFORE you leave your clothing Read his other reviews he has many complaints and they're all similar situations, this guy is far from a "master tailor".

Great place for last minute pant-hemming or suit tailoring! Brought in a pair of super slim dress pants along with a looser suit jacket; the owner recommended I slim down the suit to match the pants and I was very pleased with the results. The suit and pants were for my university graduation, which were tailored perfectly in time for me to wear (only took a day). The owner seems to be a master at the craft and is able to deliver the service fairly quickly. If you're in the Scarborough area and are looking for a good tailor, these guys are it!

Great Selection of Mens Formal Clothing!! I recently purchased a new Suit from Master Tailor and I love the style, material and fit. I tried on a few different colours and types of suits before I made my decision, but now it feels like it was custom made for me. The Tailor helped me with the fitting by doing some minor alteration, and he did it on the spot, which was great. I also bought a new mens formal shirt and tie, cuff links, and belt. Honestly, they have the right stuff. Price was good too, I got a nice deal, can't complain. I bought a Hugo Boss suit off the rack, the fit was decent but I wanted a perfect fit. I looked on Googfle for a professional tailor. I found this place and the reviews were almost too good to be true. As soon as I walked in and explained what I wanted to the owner I knew I was at the right place. He agreed with my wishes, and then he schooled me in extra touches he would do to make it as perfect as an off the rack suit could be . Couldn't be happier with my experience here! Super helpful and friendly staffs, there were quite a few customers when I went in. I had my wedding dress that needed to be adjusted and I got my dress fixed to exactly how I wanted it. There price was reasonable compared to other tailors in Toronto and work was phenomenal. Brought two high quality dress pants for hemming and requested for same day service. The tailor was polite and confirmed the job would be done. Measurements were taken accurately and the hemming was done well. The only negative were the fibers from surrounding areas that had attached themselves to the pants. Although easy to remove, it is a slight nuisance that can be avoided with ensuring work areas remain clean and debris free.

A first time user of Master Tailor and Cleaners but I must say I was very pleased with their services and will definitely go to them for any dry cleaning needs in the future. At first, I was skeptical and feared leaving my $400 dollar suede jacket with them but after talking to Basir, he told me the 1.5 year old stain I had on the jacket was something they deal with on a day to day basis. He explained to me the process and that will take less than a week to get it clean. A week later, I get a phone call telling me to come pick my jacket. The jacket looked clean and looked like a brand new jacket. I was really impressed with their efficiency and their work ethic. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!

I brought a jacket to this company for a clean 3 weeks ago only to receive it with new stains and a huge tear on the inside. I expressed my concern and politely asked for my money back but I was poorly treated and told 'they can't get all stains out' even though I stated the stains were not there before. This place is ridiculous! Never seen ANYONE as stingy as the people running this business. My boyfriend had asked me to drop off dry cleaning and I mistakenly thought he said Markham and Sheppard when he accidentally said morningside and Sheppard dry cleaners. I dropped the clothes off at master tailor cleaners around 6:45 only to realize it was the wrong dry cleaners. Around 7:05 I called them and said I made I mistake, is it okay if I get the clothes back. The man on the phone said okay you can come back now and get it. I arrive there shortly after. The man there was with another customer and the lady was helping me. Right away she says "give me $5" for the receipt paper (maybe 5 inches long) they used and the time they took to tag and throw the clothes in a bin. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? At first I thought she was joking. I told her I'm not paying $5 for nothing.. and she kept arguing with me and kept saying "my receipt paper", "my tags", "my time". Then the man gets involved and says oh maybe give me $4? I said no, I'm not paying when nothing was done just give me my clothes back. Then they both proceeded to tell me how now they are spending more time to get my clothes back (from the bins) and that I need to pay. First of all, the clothes were primarily in the top of the bin and secondly, two of the pants were ontop of a box and untagged. I kid you not, the lady told me to stop using her time and retrieve the clothes my self from the bin. The man quickly cut her off and said somethig in his language to her and she became silent. He kept repeating "it's your mistake it's your mistake" and I kept saying "yes I understand which I've already apologized for". The pair proceeded to dramatically act like they were breaking their backs looking for my clothes when all articles of clothing were right there in plain sight. Keep in mind that no servicing was done to the clothes and I've already apologized multiple times on the phone before I got there, which now I realize I shouldn't have. The lady working there is extremely rude even though I could barely understand what she was saying. I understand service doesn't come free but this is another level. Especially after I admitted it was my fault and said sorry. All I wanted was my clothes back.. just the way I dropped them off 20 minutes prior. I'm never the one to complain or write bad reviews but my encounter with these people was definitely frustrating. Advice to both the man and woman: owning a business 101, you win some and lose some. Do not think every second of your time you put into YOUR OWN business is going to be paid out. The lady took a very long time to type out my phone number and name down (making typos and asking me to repeat everything multiple times).. do you see me asking her to pay me for the time she took for that? Something's are inevitable.. like mistakes. As people, you guys need to learn that. Do not tell me you guys have never made mistake. And really? Was it REALLY a waste of your time? You run a business, when I walked in initially the man was just sitting there. Is that not a waste of time? Please, if you are not getting enough business... exploiting people's MINOR mistakes to get money is not the way to go. Oh and btw, they cut the bag I had brought the clothes in, maybe they should pay me $5 for the bag if this is how low they want to stoop. My lord, for a damn receipt paper....

Best Tailor in Toronto - Master Tailor I am from out of town and was looking for a quick repair for my daughter's dresses. They were in the vicinity, great location, central, so I decided to try them. This tailor is so gifted with the needle it's actually insane. He's so good, that you should rip a piece of clothing right now and bring it to him so you can see for yourself how good this man really is. I ripped my denim jacket and brought it to him after I googled "Tailor in Scarborough". One look and he said "No need to patch, I'll fix to look new".
