Amazing is an understatement for the talents Reem has on working on delicate fabrics like my dress (Eddy K)and my husbands suit (Bureau made custom) ! The people here are beyond amazing! It was my first time at their tailor shop last week. I had just bought a new skirt for an interview and needed to get it tailored last minute! I called them asking if they would be willing to do a last minute alteration to my skirt (I needed it the next day by 11:30am so I basically needed in less than 24 hrs). The lady was soo sweet! she was kind enough to take up the job but was also really professional and kind about it! She called me the next day and behold, my skirt was done to perfection, just the way I wanted it to look- kinda like a pencil skirt but professional. The price is also very decent. Their customer service is unbelievable! I also love how they cater to each person's need. Honestly I cannot say enough good things abput them! My husband took a suit into this tailor on a Wednesday, which required several alterations, to the Suit Jacket & Pants. He asked if this could be done asap. They did the work, called him and it was ready for pick up in 2 business days!!! He picked it up on Saturday. He tried it on and I must say, you wouldn't know this was off the rack. It appeared to be made specially for him. He looked fantastic. He and I were completely satisfied. We will recommend this tailor to all of our friends.

Amazing! I had my bridal dress brought in 6 weeks before my wedding. Rema (I apologise if I misspelled the name) took on the task to hem the nine (!!!!) skirts and fit the bodice. I definitely would not go anywhere else and highly recommend Maurice! I had a brand new dress that needed the entire zipper moved and the length of the dress hemmed. I was nervous to take it anywhere and figured I would try Maurice since he was close, easy to get to and a convenient location near the Boulevard Mall. The work was exceptional and the zipper was perfect! To my surprise, I had previously met the Owner through an old friend once about 9 years ago when he was in a different location in Buffalo. I had a big event coming up and I had to quickly find someone who I could trust to make some key alterations on a new shirt and my favorite slacks. What really stood out to me was the fact that this was owned/ran by a woman. Personally, I did not want a male to do my alterations because I felt having a woman do them just made more sense; after all they know the female body best! Rema and Isabella were GREAT! I reached out to Rema on Facebook messenger and within a couple of hours, she responded with details. She was very catering when trying to work with me regarding booking an appointment. She did not pressure me financially into making a decision during my first appointment. She also sent me pictures of me in my dress at different angles which was really nice as I'm sure you ladies know is hard to get when you're by yourself! I was comfortable the entire time! The turn around time for getting my entire dress altered was really fast, or so seemed that way-- they begin to do the alterations as soon as the bill is worked up! To me this was important because with COVID, you never know when things are going to close again. They added two sentimental sewings for me inside of my dress and added straps with pearls on them which look phenomenal. Not only were they both open to what I had envisioned with my dress, but they also provided their opinion too; which agreed with mine. It was comforting because it solidified my decision and gave me the extra support I needed. Rema walks your bridesmaids through how to bustle and lets them be hands on to learn which I thought was a nice touch. I highly recommend Maurice Tailors! Maurice is the man, he has a great personality and knows what he is doing. When I picture myself getting my measurements done Maurice is exactly who I picture doing it. I have brought a few button downs in where he has given me the "darts" which essentially slims the shirt down around the abdomens so it make the shirt more custom to my body. I have also brought in one my suit where he made the pants more slim on the leg as well as the waste and the slims the jack around the abdomens. I know that I will be an ongoing customer of Maurice. Overall great atmosphere and is very prompt and diligent with his work.

tl;dr - Professional, attentive, friendly, excellent quality work! Stopped in here because it's conveniently close and had great reviews. The reviews did not lie! The woman working when I came in (owners wife I believe) was very professional and attentive. She made sure I was greeted and addressed while she helped another customer. Once she was finished with the first customer, I explained I needed to have the sleeves of a bomber jacket shortened and brought in as it no longer fit me from 50lbs ago. She explained everything thoroughly and went over the pricing of different options, of which I chose the highest because I'm very attached to this jacket and wanted it done right. When I came back to pick it up, I got exactly what I paid for. Sleeves fit me like a glove, the elastic cuffs looked original, and the seam where they adjusted everything looked exactly like the rest of the seams on the jacket. I couldn't even tell they had worked on it, it looked original! Very happy with this place and will definitely be coming here in the future!

We talked about adding fabric, but I was devastated. Maurice's is amazing! I came in with a bridesmaid dress last minute and they came to the rescue! I had bought the dress at Alfred next door. Alfred wanted to charge me $55 plus a $35 rush fee to get the dress let out. Maurice charged me $80 to let the dress out AND shorten it PLUS finished early and had me come in to make sure it all fit. (Took it on Monday and got it back by Thursday) Miracle workers. And the dress looks fabulous and so do I! I will continue coming here for any and all alterations. Thank you!!!

Maurice and his wife are so talented and sweet! I found his place by accident after being turned off by some of the more rude tailors in the area. His wife and him have been taking care of my youngest son's pants since they require hemming to fit him properly. Every time I need work done they take on the challenge and do so with care and a smile! I just dropped off my son's First Communion suit for tailoring and can't wait to see how well he fits it when they are finished! Don't be put off by the negative reviews here. If I had, I would have missed out on all the positive experiences I have had! Maurice and his wife don't just treat you like customers, from the moment you walk in you're treated like family and the way the world is today, that's an amazing thing!

Maurice is hands down the best tailor in town. I have been working with him for almost 4 years now. Before finding him I used other tailors who's work just didn't hold up. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is what sets him apart. He is very affordable and his turn around time is quick. I have brought him everything from basic alterations to major reconstruction work. He has never turned down any job or said that something couldn't be done. I had my dress custom made at JP Tailors. They took two dresses and made then into one. It turned out lovely however I wasn't comfortable in the dress because the top part was a see through corset and I couldn't find a strapless backless bra that worked for me. JP couldn't add a lining or cups like I wanted but they recommended me to Maurice's. I could not be happier with how my dress turned out after Rema and her team inserted the white bridal cups and lining! I am so thankful that I have a dress that I feel comfortable and beautiful in!

Best place to go for any alterations! The work is amazing and so is the price. Would have cost 4x more at David's Bridal and at least double anywhere else. I had my wedding dress altered here. I had my dress converted into a high and low dress and taken in. There was 3 layers, tully, lace etc. The work was done really fast and it was just want I wanted. I was blown away today when I came in to Maurice Tailors to see if they could do anything to rejuvenate a family heirloom that have been passed down through the generations. The item is a stuffed Santa that had eyes that were buttons at one time. This was quite a difficult job because of the number of buttons that were stacked on top of each other and sewed into the face of the item. The owner went to work with one of the tailors in the back to make the repair, which I didn’t expect them to do it right away I thought they would be at least a several week wait to get it done. Bottom line is, this is the kind of business you want to do business with, they’re a caring family business that cares about doing a great job and satisfying their customers. Always reasonably priced and committed to making you happy. I will be back again and again for all my tailoring needs. Thank you so much, I highly recommend this business.

I went to Maurice Tailors for a consultation regarding major alterations needed for my wedding dress. I showed up to the appointment feeling defeated and had a feeling that I would have to sell it and completely start over in order to get the dress of my dreams. Rema was absolutely amazing to work with. She was so patient with me from the beginning, and listened to everything I had to say. I wasn't sure what I wanted, all I knew was that I had a strapless wedding dress that needed to be transformed into anything but a strapless dress. She was able to do alternations and a bustle within a short amount of time and the dress came out absolutely perfect. I actually changed my mind on the bustle and she was so sweet about making sure I got exactly what I wanted. You spend a lot of money on your wedding dress so of course you would be scared to have anyone bring scissors near it, but I can assure you this is the place to bring your dress too. Also! I had a last minute dress emergency days before the wedding and Rema was quick to find someone to help me immediately! I attached some unofficial photos to show how the length of the dress was perfect for me and doesn’t look like it was ever altered! They are the best!

I went in feeling very hopeless and nervous with a bridesmaid dress that was two sizes too small, and he quickly put my nerves at ease, telling me he could take the dress out. (I had to have it taken in) Got home and my husband thought it was still a little too big, even though she did it exactly how I wanted it. Went back in the next day and said I’m so sorry! Rema was the best. I had a wedding dress custom made by a company based in San Francisco. The dress needed a seam line below the buttocks lowered about 4 inches in order to fit properly. It also needed the typical gown alterations like hemline and straps. Rema was confident in her skills to lower the seam in the back. She worked so hard to remove all the lace crest whole new back panels and lower the seam line. The company that made the dress was so nice about the mix up and sent Rema new fabric to create the new panels. She worked with me to get it done even while I was working out of town in California. She was so nice and confident she could get the work done. I would definitely recommend her!

I came in with my wedding dress 2 weeks ago and didn't have shoes yet, but we got down to business right away to figure out what needed to be taken in, etc. She wasted no time and was super knowledgeable and patient with letting me decide how I wanted it to look. I got my shoes and she got me in as soon as she could. Well, that day happened to be 2 days before the governor was shutting down the remaining businesses during the pandemic. Like if I were to get my dressed hemmed I would lose details on the bottom & it would completely change to design so she gave me options in place. Dan Recs Excellent workmanship, knowledge & friendly people to deal with! I was in desperate need of a suit for my Daughters upcoming wedding and came in with little knowledge of buying suits & formal wear. They gave me courteous, expert advice and took my measurements allowing me to buy the proper sized suit, pants & dress shirt. When I returned Rema made the necessary adjustments and promptly made the alterations with-in 4 business days. The result; I have an excellent off the rack suit that looks like I paid hundreds of dollars for. Of note is the tailoring of the shirt. I am 5' 8", 180 lbs with a 20 inch neck. Which basically means I have to buy a shirt meant for a man quite a bit taller, larger and heavier thus the shirt required massive alterations. Basically Rema took a poncho and turned it into a dress shirt! I will be for ever grateful that I will be walking my Daughter down the isle looking my best!

She took the time to measure out everything, and she is so experienced with tailoring and alterations that she would give you amazing advice--and please do take her advice because she knows better! I've brought him my wedding dress after David's Bridal butchered it (I would have saved nearly $100 if I had brought it to him right away instead of having David's alter it, Maurice's prices are beyond reasonable, David's are not).
