I wish that every small business was run like Colvin Cleaners runs its business. They are highly professional to a capital "P" and they also do a lot for local non-profit organizations especially St. Luke's Mission of Mercy, for one. I always take my dry cleaning there, and also any sewing jobs that I might need done. Everything that they do, is done with expertise and gusto, and it is very clear that they LOVE what they do because it truly shows in their results. God bless you fine folks!

I am giving 1 star for horrific customer service. Our daughter had her first homecoming dance and we dropped off her formal attire as well as our usual dry cleaning and was told it would all be finished and delivered to us a few days later. When clothes were delivered to us, 1/2 were missing. We called and asked where the rest were (especially the formal pants we needed for the dance in 4 days) and they apologized and said it would be delivered in two days. We were relieved as this allowed enough time to be ready for the dance. The delivery came and it appeared all set. The evening of the dance, after getting her makeup done, she went to put her formal pants on at 4:50 (the dance started at 6:00) and they were NOT there. We called at 5:00 and were told they "must have missed them" and they'd be delivered with next day's delivery. We explained we needed them now because her dance was so soon and she had nothing formal to wear. They told us they were closing at 6:00 and there was no driver available. (We live in Elma and as loyal customers, have continued to use this business). We explained that we lived at least 40 mins away. We asked if someone could meet us 1/2 way to allow enough time for us to get the pants and drive back before the dance. They were disgruntled and said they had to ask if their suprvr would allow someone to leave a little early to do so. (I left and began driving there anyway at 5:10). They waited an additional 15 minutes (5:15) to call us back and said they were told they're not allowed to leave just 1 person working (for 30-45 mins at the end of the shift) while someone else drove to meet us 1/2 way. They also told us that if we tried to leave now and make it there to pick them up ourselves, they could not guarantee they would stay open past 6:00 to give us the pants. Our daughter was upset as this was her first dance and she had nothing else to wear (it was a matching pants suit). Needless to say, I was forced to leave my daughter's pre-dance festivities, (I missed my chance to take my own photos with her and touch up her hair) and FLY to Kenmore in terrible rainy conditions. I made it at 5:59 experienced a rude employee when I walked in. She abruptly told me they waived the fee for the pants as if this should provide some type of consolation. I sped back to Elma. I didn't get back until 6:50. My daughter missed the (paid) photography session with her friends prior to the dance. It ruined her first high school dance experience and placed me in an unsafe situation driving in that rain, frustrated and in a hurry. To add insult to injury, after all of this, we got the pants back and the zipper we paid to have fixed on them still jammed. The lack of empathy we experienced has led my family to another cleaners. Shameful!

Awful service. Mistakes happen, but what defines a good business is stepping up to the plate and resolving a mistake! Colvin Cleaners made an error with an item of mine. I complained multiple times, which they ignored for a month. I escalated to the Better Business Bureau, and Colvin Cleaners ignored that for a month, too. When they finally did respond, they clearly didn't review the content of the complaint, still didn't offer to fix the issue, and they were smug about it to boot. Never again - you've lost a customer forever, there are plenty of other area dry cleaners with pleasant service and that stand behind their work!

Really nice staff that offers federal/military discounts. They offer some tailoring and 3 day dry cleaning. Unless requested for sooner. Will update rating if necessary after return of Tuxedo and French cuff shirt. They offer to clean up the extra threads that were on the clothes.

This is not a reliable business. Not even worth telling the boring story. In short, they don't follow directions, they can't keep a schedule and in my opion the tailoring is of poor quality. I say poor because every pair of pants I had hemmed here has a highly visible seem. Not to mention they ignore special instructions on that type of work. This was the last time. Don't bother responding because I gave you an opportunity to redeem yourself today and the management took a pass. Needless to say, account cancelled.

Dropped off a suit for cleaning on Tuesday, for pick up on Thursday. I received an email Wednesday - ready for pick up. I stopped by after work, and they couldn't find my suit! They apologized, said they would find it, and drop if off at my house. At 8:15 last night, they stopped by my house to deliver my suit! Mistakes can happen - thank you to Colvin's people for excellent customer service follow up.

Simply the best!! Only complaint I have is this wonderful company does not come to Lockport. We are stuck with subpar non green friendly dry cleaning services that have quite the reputation for treating their employees very poorly. Come to Lockport please!! The place here needs competition and us residents deserve a choice, not being stuck with them because they are the only game in town!!

I have been a loyal customer for a number of years. Dry cleaning is timely but prices are a bit high. I had an experience where I brought in two panels of sheer curtains to be hemmed. Simple, straight cut and sew ( No dry cleaning included). I picked up the curtains and they had charged $50. I felt that this was ridiculous and sent an email to the team who then made an adjustment to my account for the correct pricing. I appreciate them making an effort to make it right.

rip off - telling me once thing at dropp off and change price at pickup and of cousre seamstress dont speak english or do not recall conversation - charged me $10.00 for a pully on zipper (which i brought the orignal ) they just clipped it back on ( hard labor) i would have rather cut holes in it and put buttons on it - this was on a Duvet cover by the way - not going back there

At first I thought the driver was high or drunk because they were driving 20 mph under the speed limit in the passing lane in a construction zone. I am a customer of Colvin Cleaners and am on your pick up and drop off route. On 12/10/21 I included my 6 year old granddaughter's nightgown for alteration. The hem on her very favorite nightgown was frayed and coming off. As it is quite worn I was not able to mend it and hoped that your alterations department might be able to just put it together somehow. We received it back on 12/17/21 and were amazed at what a fine job your alterations person had done! Not only was the hem repaired, but the armholes as well! I cannot tell you how much this meant to our granddaughter and ourselves. She has barely taken it off...lol! I just wanted you to know about this and would appreciate it if you could pass our thanks and appreciation on to your wonderful employee who was so kind and thoughtful. Where do I start...? Several months ago I started looking for a new cleaners as I was "cleaning" up everything in our lives :0 Simply re-evaluating all the products we use in our home, put in our mouths, and put on our skin etc. I started to research a better option for dry cleaning. I called many times with many questions and each and every time my questions were answered professionally and throughly. I never felt pushed off or that they were annoyed with my calls. I did switch over to Colvin Cleaners and my husband loves his shirts being laundered here. I appreciate a professional local business that takes pride in their business and customers. I feel that your "green" cleaning is the best option for me and my family.

Very friendly and helpful folks. I walked in to get a suit altered and dry cleaned on a Saturday. They gave me a pickup date of the following Wednesday evening. They do a lot of community events like the coats for kids collections plus prom gown collections for people who can't afford them. They even clean them free.

When the delivery truck left a large stain on my driveway, the owner himself came over within hours and cleaned it off completely. They come to pick up clothing from my place of employment twice a week, so I have used their service here and there. After some time has passed they have rudely called me numerous times telling me that they would appreciate it if i would have at least one item dry cleaned a month. Sorry, but I am not going to get something dry cleaned for no reason. Harassing phone calls have turned me to use other cleaners instead.

I had been trying to wash my winter coat to no avail. I took my coat to Colvin Cleaners. I just wanted to say they did a really good job in cleaning it! The staff was courteous and they got the item cleaned and back to me in 1 1/2 days (considering the weekend). I decided to go to colvin cleaners a few sundays ago.. I couldn't be more pleased! Being open on the weekends is very useful for busy workers like me and my husband. I was greeted by an employee named sara, she was absolutely amazing and took her time to make sure everything was done correctly. Staff is friendly. But items come back damaged. Never had this issue at a different place I went to prior to this one. Stained an expensive sweatpants of mine and just found out they damaged two more today. It’s only a drawstring, but the sweatpants they are attached to are worth a shocking amount.... I pay for them to clean but it’s clear they’re not capable.

I was really impressed because they picked up and delivered to my house, the hats came back in almost new condition and on top of that they gave a treat to my dog when they came to the door. I find that they always go a step beyond what’s necessary. One day the young delivery lady came to my house twice rather than leave my dry cleaning on the door in the rain. I was called by Colvin cleanses a few weeks ago offering free pick and delivery for dry cleaning and alterations. I called this morning to inquire how to notate my alterations. I also discovered while on the phone that I had not been given a “green bag” which is odd as Colvin cleaners had been to my apt twice and have never mentioned or dropped this off prior. I explained to the person on the phone that my items would be in a white bag, the person told me she’d let the drivers know. The driver came and went and my white bag for Colvin cleaners had not been picked up. I called Colvin cleaners and inquired and they told me nothing was noted in my account about the white bag. If Colvin can’t even communicate to their workers about a bag pick up I’m glad they didn’t get my clothing for alterations, who knows what other miscommunications they’d have regarding those.

Not only do they bend over backwards to make sure every detail is perfect, they do even more than called for. When my very pregnant daughter found the only dress that fit her....but it had make-up stains, they successfully removed the stain ..which was severe. Called us early to say it was perfect and ready...and gave it to her as a shower gift. Very touching..you just do not find people like them every day. They also collect and clean coats for kids...you get a discount if you donate. Very good people highly recommend !

During the pandemic I gained so much weight sitting around that my wedding gown didn’t fit anymore and the seamstresses took care of me. Even with limited amount of time. In two weeks they made my gown fit me beautifully again!!! They are so nice and willing to work with you as far as time goes. Thank you!!!

I dropped a dress off here to be taken in and hemmed for a wedding. I took it in on a Wednesday and they told me it would be ready the following Monday after 3pm. Monday after work (5pm) i went to pick up the dress they told me they had not finished yet and I should come back the following day after 5pm.... The following day after work again I went to pick up the dress and when i walked in she could not find the dress. I waited for 15 minutes for her to find it in the same exact place it was when I dropped it off with the markings still on it and nothing done... With the wedding the following day i had no choice but to take the un touched dress and wear it pinned with a safety pin... I was and still am furious beyond belief... I wouldn't suggest going here if you are on a deadline or honestly at all... This is so unacceptable.
