The tailor shop is on the second floor, and cobbler is on the first floor. Excellent, high quality work delivered by both. I would not go elsewhere. Tip: take your apparel in at least 2-3 weeks before you need it. They are a small shop with overflowing business.

Excellent workmanship, and completed quickly! I needed daughter's Communion dress taken out as the ceremony had been pushed back by months. I went to two places closer to my home and was told "nothing could be done, buy a new dress". Then I called Ms. Fama. She took one look at the dress and said, "no problem". A week later we have the dress back, fits perfectly, and looks fabulous! The best part was the smile on my daughter's face, because she gets to wear the dress she loves!

Maryanne Fama is an expert seamstress. She takes a tremendous amount of pride in her craft and it shines through in her workmanship. I brought my mother of the bride gown to her at the last minute and she was able to get the dress to fit perfect in a few days. When I got the gown home, I inspected the sewing on the inside of the dress and she performed absolute perfection. She also did my daughters bridal gown and she customized the gown perfectly to fit her body. Maryanne is truly an amazing artist in her field. Thank you Maryanne !

If you are not in a rush to get an alteration done this is the place to go to. Typically a 2 week turnaround. Every article of clothing I've have altered has come back perfect. Very pleased with the service.

I didn't get a service done at fama tailoring. I went there for my daughter's prom dress I know it's prom season. I just move here to NJ so I found her online and saw her reviews and said let's try. I work in NYC so it's hard for me so I took a day off and kept my daughter home because I work crazy hours. Anyway sorry for the long story we went and there were people there waiting we waited 10mins. She asked what I needed she was already annoyed. But before I could even get the words out she's shaking her head and said no shes very busy with all the schools near by with prom. I am despite so I asked even if I pay extra and the reason I ask this is because I don't know NJ I moved here we have no friends I need help. She said no she doesn't charge extra that she has 100s of dresses and doesn't need to do that. I said ok, I didn't mean to offend her. So I asked do you know of another place I can go to and rudely she said no go ask your friends I have 100s of dresses. I told her I just moved here and don't know anyone. I took my daughter and said thank you have a great day. As I was walking out this woman who was also waiting to get her dress fix told me to go on a Facebook chat and see if anyone has suggestions. I am very thankful to that lady I guess she saw how I was in need of help and how the lady came out. May God bless her always. I wish I knew her name. Anyway I know everyone is busy and I understand that she didn't have the time to do my daughter's dress. I just didn't expect her to come out the way she did. After that experience I think I am just going to take my stuff back to NY to get done. I will take it to my tailor he's nice and his work is amazing. I just thought since I move here I should find my local places here silly me. I am sure the lady at fama tailoring does good work but her people skills are lacking but as she said she has 100s of dresses I guess she doesn't care for extra business. Have a wonderful day and hope this was helpful and that I was the only one treated that way.
