I had asked them to replace some buckles on my backpack then strengthen its floor by putting some fabric around it, as it had become thin. I told them I was not worried about the looks. I received a quote. When asked to pick it up I paid FULL price as quoted for both jobs just to notice later that they had not repaired the floor. Buckles were good though. I went back and asked the owner about it and the reply was that a repair was not possible even though she had said the opposite when getting me the quote. OK. Can happen. Then I contacted the owner about the repair of my tent. I went there a second time to show them pictures. Eventually contacted her online to make an appointment. Was told I had to wait for level 2 (covid). Fair enough. Waited for that time, even checked online in the morning if they were open, drove there (15min one way) just to find the shop closed. I went again the following day, dropped off the tent. One day later owner called asking me to pick it up again as they could not do it. All in all, that makes it 5(!) drives to and fro equalling about 2.5hs - for nothing! No apologies, nothing! They had two chances to do a good job but messed both up. Not again!

I never leave reviews but felt compelled to after always receiving such amazing service from the ladies at stitch in stoke (Miki and Jayne), who are always cheery and so helpful. They take the utmost care with all my clothes and are very fair with their pricing, even with finnicky ball dresses. I know that this is the best place for not only clothing alterations but also any other sewing-related jobs you may need done - they are very creative! Lovely collection of wools to browse as well. Thank you girls. All the best in your new premises.
