Responding back to "Mona's" comment on Ain's review; first of, there is no truth to it. Talk about "honesty". Nobody gave her $20, it was $50. And yes, the full amount was not presented at first as she had missed the deadline. There was no apology, no compensation for it. No one "threatened" her. She was told that it will be reported to FTC for unprofessionalism and not fulfilling the customer's request; which the consumer has the right to. When was the police mentioned during the argument? Lol. Mona was already taking orders during the pandemic and we are still in a pandemic FYI... so that comment is irrelevant. Please get your facts straight. Admit your mistake, own it and you might earn some respect.

Good blouse, good quality hemming, but pressure sales tactics, misrepresentations of blouse designing capabilities, and poor attention to customer’s needs made us unhappy with the final results. We came to Mona to do the blouse designs for 2 kanchipuram wedding blouses – one for me, the bride, and one for my mother. We sent her photos through email to show her examples of what we wanted done on the blouses. She had difficulty opening up the email but when she saw the photos, she said she could do these designs and that we only had to come to her to finalize plans. We asked her to send us pictures of what she had, specifically pictures of trims/borders, patches/stones/beads and tassels so we can discuss design possibilities over the phone or maybe through a video call. She was 40 minutes away and we wanted to save time on driving and not take too long to have in person discussions as it’s during covid lockdown. She assured us that she “had everything” and gave us the impression that if we questioned her further over the phone, we were insulting her years of experience. She has a lot of trims and borders, but she did not show us anything that she owned. Instead, she took one trim, placed it on the blouse and asked us if we liked it. We expressed that we wanted the designs in the pictures in the email but she said those are embroidery work and she doesn’t do embroidery. This was a huge surprise to us as we were very specific about wanting these designs we sent over in the email. Although she told us over the phone she did not do embroidery, she should have been transparent that it was embroidery work in the pictures we showed her rather than mislead the customer into thinking she could do it. So this resulted in 3 hours of discussions about blouse designs that could have been avoided through a simple video call or sending pictures of what she had. After 30 minutes, she told us we were taking too much time, that “time is money” and told us 1 hour after we arrived she had another customer coming right now. There was no other customers who arrived during the time we were there. She said a few times, “ok it’s done” in a conclusive tone to get us to be satisfied with the simple blouse design. We felt very pressured to buy and to accept the simple trims she had. This is a wedding blouse, there is nothing simple about it, but it was clear she didn’t care if we liked it or not, as long as we paid and left quickly. When we told her my mom does not want a tassel at the back of the blouse, she said we needed one to ensure the blouse had stability. Then we asked if she could change the design of the back so that tassels would not be needed, but she dismissed the idea and explained her reasoning to my fiancé in Hindi so I did not know what her reason was. The tassel is $25 extra, so 2 tassels for both blouses is $50. Money was not a problem for us, (although her prices were pretty high, almost the same cost as the sarees) but she dismissed so quickly our desire not to have tassels just to make some extra money. We did not like any of the 3 tassels but were forced to choose one. She also does not have patches, jewels or stones. She had many boxes and bags of trims of various widths, but only showed us 5 trims to choose from. I felt this was just her way of doing the minimal amount of work to get the most money as her base price for blouse designing was 4 times more than the cost of her to just sew the blouse. Mona clearly had her own agenda when suggesting design options to us that were not in our best interests. We will not be coming back and we don't recommend her blouse designs.

i found Mona from google and i went to her so that she stitches my blouse of a saree. After a lot of discussion finally she noted all points and measurements. My blouse was padded style and cut sleeve so price she told me was $95 which i feel is pretty expensive. i was having time constraint and i was new to this area so i decided to get that done from her. Then started follow up for blouse, wherein she speaks in a very dominant manner over phone stating whatever she speaks is correct eg:- when i asked about pick up at the end of weak then she was like will give but she never told me a specific date. after 2-3 follow up she gave a pick up date and then finally i got the blouse. thank god blouse was made beautifully as already i know am paying high for it. conclusion:- over priced but you get a good work done.

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for traditional wear/alterations! I had a dress and saree blouse that needed to be altered last minute and she readily agreed to take care of them. Not only did she do an excellent job on the alteration but didn't charge me for the blouse as it was a very small job. She took my measurements for the dress and suggested that I get a zipper to make it easier to wear. Even though she had to unstitch the entire dress and restitch it, she delivered it a day earlier than promised. I would definitely be going back for all my traditional dresses to her!

Mona was very knowledgeable, talented, and professional. I brought an Indian lengha to alter/restyle. The top was completely outdated, but she provided me with a modern vision of what the top should look like. Her ideas were excellent and she didn't push me out of my comfort zone - if I didn't love a suggestion, she didn't push me on it. Very unprofessional and ill-mannered. Took months to get my dress stitched. I needed my dress for Eid and she kept coming up with excuses. After 3 months of all her excuses, my fiancé picked up the dress and upon pick-up she treated him with disrespect! My fiancé wouldn't give her the full amount as she took ages to get it done and way after the deadline. She didn't even deserve a penny, but to avoid all the drama my fiancé ended up giving her the full price. Would not recommend her to anyone. Worst experience ever. I have filed a complaint against this business.

I had to write this review for Mona creations, as she had been excellent in terms of handling my clothes, with a great personality, superior experience and enthusiastic work ethic. I recently had an Indian wedding to go to, and was very anxious and scared towards where I should take my clothes, as I have had very bad experience before. I found Mona, took my clothes to her, and she dealt with me in a flawless manner. Her work was to die for, everybody at the wedding had wanted to know where I had got my sari designed and made from. Mona is an excellent designer and tailor, who can work with any kinds of materials, and make your choice of clothing according to your needs, well fitted to your body. Well done Mona! The worst experience possible. Bought material and requested a suit to be made for Eid on April 2. Called on June 1 to find out if it was ready and was told it hadn't even been started. Requested it be ready for pick up June 15 and booked an appointment for 4pm that day to complete the fitting. Called on my way to the appointment and suit had not been started. Mona argued, spoke over me and gave me all the excuses in the book. I asked for my money back and also asked that it being Ramadan that she not treat people this way for such a holy celebration. I picked up my money today and she said nothing, just handed me the money and closed the door... A ridiculous, overpriced and uncourteous experience!!!
