Came here for a rush job after a bad experience with a different alterations service. My wedding dress fit perfectly after using Ette! I received a bunch of compliments on my dress, I'll add pictures once I get them back from my photographer!

Recently had my BHLDN gown tailored at Ette. The whole process was pretty simple, I believe you get up to 3 fittings, I had my dress completed and back in my closet one month before the wedding! It was a huge stress off of me to know that I had a perfect fitting dress for my big day. My only qualm was that my initial consultation required alterations that weren’t totally needed which drove up the price. I voiced my concerns with the price with Ette and they listened!! I came in for an additional consultation and they advised to what alterations were absolutely necessary which reduced the price to something much more manageable. So my advice to brides during the initial consultation is to be clear on each suggested alteration and price, and evaluate what’s really needed. Overall, I’m so happy with how it turned out!

I work in the wedding industry and once the time came for me to get alterations to my own wedding dress, I knew I had to go to the best - Ette was the place that was continuously brought up & recommended. I now see why! Each appointment was really seamless (no pun intended). My guests and I always felt welcomed and taken care of; each seamstress we worked with carefully explained the process, took careful notes and walked us through next steps. I was very fortunate in that my dress didn't need too many alterations in terms of structure and fit (just some taking in on the shoulders), but boy, was my bustle a BEAST! We're talking three layers of fabric that were pinned together randomly. The French bustle I initially wanted didn't end up working out because of the gown design, but Ariana took the time to carefully explain and show us the alternative option -- which ended up being just as beautiful! Additionally, they didn't oversell us, but made thoughtful suggestions -- such as sewing on my belt for convenience and moving flower material from my skirt to the back lace of my gown to cover a scar I was self-conscious about. I never would have even considered the latter as an option, but it was genius and more cost-effective than make-up coverage. But don't just take my word for it -- these photos hopefully do their work justice. My gown fit like a dream and I received so many compliments on our wedding day!

What a joyous experience this was! I only have experience with one other tailor in my life and it was less than ideal. The ladies at Ette are so fabulous! And also I feel VERY reasonable cost! They go over everything with you from how to bustle and how to tape your dress. They are true artists in that they understand the female body and how clothes move on it. Everyone was extremely kind and accommodating! I would recommend them 100%!

I cannot say enough good things about Ette! Kpoene' and her team specialize in heirloom revamping which is EXACTLY what I was hoping for in my search to have my moms wedding dress modernized! Kpoene' is a true artist and expert of her craft. From our first appointment to our last, her team was so detail oriented, and welcomed my mom and I into her studio like family! Ariana was a dream to work with! I was getting a custom top made by Kpoene at Mignonette and used Ette for my skirt alterations. Her and Kpoene were so patient and understanding as we tweaked a few things in the last hour. I even bought a belt the week before my wedding, after they had finished my skirt alterations, and they carefully sewed into my skirt with invisible thread and did not charge me extra even though it took them about 30 minutes to get it right. I would have never been able to achieve my bridal look without the hours of work and insane amount of love the team put into my outfit. I was not a bride who enjoyed the wedding planning, but the thing I miss the most is the incredible team of talented women at Ette. THANK YOU Kpoene, Ariana, and the incredible team at Ette for working tirelessly to give me a fire bridal look!!!

I am so happy and pleased to work with Ette for my wedding gown alterations! They came recommended from the boutique where I bought my dress, and I can see why. They are knowledgeable about the designers and dress types, and they make the process so seamless (no pun intended). Their location is beautiful - brightly lit and welcoming (which I can't say about a lot of other alteration places). Throughout my 3 fittings, they worked to ensure my dress fit perfectly, and made little adjustments along the way. At my final fitting, I was able to bring in my sister-in-law to help with the bustle for the day-of, and Ette was great at walking through it. I felt supported and encouraged by the entire staff along the way, and they made me that much more excited for the big day! They played a huge part in making me feel my best for my wedding - the dress fit flawlessly! Highly recommend Ette to anyone who wants a fun, stress-free experience with wedding dress alterations. Ette was so considerate with my alterations and made every effort to make sure everything down to the smallest detail was handled with care. I was surprised that I was working with different seamstresses each appointment but everyone there is so knowledgable that I felt like everyone had a hand in making my dress look perfect. I had so much anxiety about buying a dress that wasn't exactly what I was looking for off the hanger. After my second fitting it came to life and I couldn't have been happier with the final look.

I had the best experience working with Goli at Ette! She made this process the most seamless it could be and honestly it was the only stress free part of wedding planning in a pandemic because they made it so simple and the outcome couldn’t have been better. I was extremely nervous to have my beautiful Floravere dress altered after some bad experiences with alterations going awry at other shops, but I quickly trusted Goli and the Ette team’s expertise and I was thrilled with how my dress turned out. They were very clear about what they’d be doing to the dress every step of the way, offered recommendations on fit and under garments and how best to bustle the dress based on its style. I felt absolutely beautiful on my wedding day thanks to the team! Process wise for the bride it’s a breeze. I love that they set up all 3 of my appointments in one fell swoop so I could “set it and forget it” and just show up when planned. When I visited the shop each time it was warm and inviting, the space itself is beautiful and I felt so glamorous. Even though I couldn’t have guests with me due to COVID I was able to FaceTime and Goli took a bunch of photos for me each time to ensure I could share. They have straight forward and clear cut pricing for alteration services and post wedding cleaning and preservation. In my experience with tailors in the past I always feel like the pricing is so ambiguous and I appreciated Ette’s transparency. Thanks for everything!

From my first consultation appointment, Goli made me feel so comfortable and was great about answering my questions and explaining the alterations process. Due to Covid, I attended all of my fittings solo (I was very glad that Ette was taking appropriate precautions, requiring masks, etc.) and Goli always offered to take pictures for me, asked about wedding plans, and went out of her way to make each appointment still feel fun and exciting. The whole team at Ette was very organized, responsive, professional, and transparent about pricing. I worked pretty exclusively with Ariana and she was an absolute angel to work with. The moment I walked in I felt welcomed and that her attention was undivided. There were so many little things we need to do to my dress. Put fabric where there wasn't, hem, add a simple bustle, shorten the torso, take in the hips and thighs, shorten the straps, and attached a belt I made myself but didn't finish. Not only did she make me feel that the adjustments were doable, but that they were fairly simple fixes. It definitely put my mind at ease as I was stressing about whether or not some of these things could be done. I picked up my dress with my two matrons, to whom she explained thoroughly how to bustle my dress and even last minute bought a set of earrings for the big day. I had plenty of time to spare and am forever grateful for all of Ariana's vision and work on my dress. Thank you!

Ariana did an impeccable job altering my wedding dress, I couldn't have been happier. I didn't fuss with my dress at all on my wedding day and it was so comfortable. Ariana was so patient and knew just what needed to be done when I mentioned even the tiniest of adjustments. She also created a beautiful bustle. I appreciated her thoughtfulness and attention to detail when she went above and beyond her job duties - I bought my dress from a sample shop and it had a small black grease mark on the bottom of the skirt. It was a bummer but it wasn't really visible so it didn't bother me very much. Lo and behold, when I came back for my third appointment she told me she did a little googling and was able to get it out! Talk about good service. I recommend Ette and Ariana to all brides!

Document Everything! The centerline of the bodice of my lace wedding dress was cut and the center point removed before the design was agreed upon. Goli originally denied that this had been done, the loss of the lace centerpoint, but because there were pictures and an email documenting the original condition, and that the design was still under discussion, she suddenly said she would “ask the seamstress” how this happened. Lace is forgiving, and although the center point could not be retrieved, the dress was patched so that it would not be noticeable to guests. The dress was then scheduled for pick-up 3 weeks prior to the wedding. But it could not be taken home. The lace at the shoulder tops was raggedly cut and hanging unevenly. Again, after showing pictures and reminding them of the discussion, this was patched and the dress was picked up the following week. Document Everything—your wedding dress is their hostage.

Ette came through at the absolute last minute for me when my dress needed some alterations. My dress arrived less than a week before we were to leave for our wedding road trip to Yosemite in Oct 2020. It was incredibly stressful working with the dressmaker (that's for another review) and I was frantic when it arrived and needed additional fitting. From the moment I called Ette they put me at ease and were able to work with my busy schedule and tight turnaround - all the while with the most cheerful and kind attitude! I am so grateful to them. Their shop is also adorable, everyone I worked with was very kind and they took COVID precautions seriously. After our trip, I used their gown cleaning service. We hiked about 10 miles on our wedding day and my dress was coated with dust/dirt and had a few tears in the lace along the bottom. My dress came back looking almost like new! I would recommend Ette to absolutely everyone!

I used Ette the wedding tailor for my wedding dress alterations in August 2020. I had quite a big and detailed dress and they did an amazing job with it! I actually had a concern one week before my wedding about how the top of my dress fit, and they were able to work with me in two days to make it fit absolutely perfect on my wedding day! They also made me feel very safe with their covid precautions! My advice to to speak up early because they will listen and try to help you! I am so glad I chose them!
