The selection is really great for colours and styles. This is not a bargain store so don't expect to cheap out on prices. I have no complaints about their clothing, but the help staff completely ignored me while I browsed the store for at least a half hour, and only paid attention to me when I directly approached them and asked for assistance (they didn't have my size on the rack). Had I been approached when I entered the store I would not have made the staff stay late (past closing) while they found the item I wanted to purchase. The pants fit great, and they were helpful once approached, but I expected more assistance from such a high end store.

I walked in there wearing dirty sweatpants and a tank top smelling like I just biked 10k in the sun (I had) with grease, dirt and sweat on me and Hadia didn't hesitate to ask if I needed help. I took a look around and once decided what I needed she helped with some measurements and picking out the best pants and shirts for me, she was sure to go out of her way to get the right stuff for me from the back! The first time we came to this store was to outfit the groom's side for our wedding and we're super happy with the service. We've been a few times (and a few lbs off of hubby) since and just went a few minutes ago. When the associate said "this is the big and tall side, you're looking for the other side" and it was such a HUGE BOOST for my husband. He's still coming to grips with the fact that he worked it off and kept it off. It was very reaffirming and cathartic. Thank you associate with the longish hair You really made his day!

I went there for a prom suite and I really liked how I was treated. I was serviced by Calin and he was ready for me the instant I walked through the door, he was very patient and took the time to properly find something that would fit my body structure, which is a bit hard to compensate the waist to chest, but he was able to find a slim fitting comfortable piece and fitted it for a little extra (worth it in my opinion). It looks amazing and I recommend going there.

All I asked for was someone to take measurements for my cousin and send them to me in Montreal. Any charge would have been fine but it seemed to be beneath them to perform this service even for a fee. Not to mention that the rental company which they are affiliated with is the same one as the company in Montreal (Freeman, but this is not about them).

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! Ladies and Gentlemen get ready for a horror story. I called Wednesday afternoon to confirm the hours of operation for Thursday because I did not want to rely on google hours (especially because of covid). The representative assured me they would be open from 10am to 6pm. Thursday morning, I arrived to the store 10 minutes early as I had an important interview scheduled for 12 noon. At 10:05 am the store had not yet opened... I decided double check the time on Tip Top Tailors website and found that they are supposed to be open at 10 am on Thursday. So I decided to wait anxiously for few minutes... I contemplated leaving and going elsewhere but I was strapped for time and continued to wait... Finally at 10:45 a young woman casually walks towards the store with headphones in her ears and asked if I was waiting to get in. I told her I had been waiting for over 45 minutes and she replied that "oh, I had an accident". To be honest she did not look like she was distresed or in a hurry to open the doors. To me it seemed she had slept in... Also, she was not well dressed at all. I was shocked to find out she worked here as she looked like a shopper wearing pajamas... Regardless I was relieved to see someone finally show up! But this is when things got VERY BAD. The young woman was attempting to unlock the front doors and asked if I could help her. I tried to unlock the door but the key would not turn! She apologized and went to get Security to help, but unfortunately they were unsuccessful. The security officer said they did not even have a spare key to open the door! Apparently she was not given the right key and was blaming it on her co-worker ! This was an absolute nightmare! My blood was boiling as I was 1 hour away from my job interview without a suit and still waiting to get into this store! At this point I asked for the young woman's name and she quietly responded "Lee". I told her that I would be writting a review about my experience and expect the owner to contact me about this horrific incident. My email address for the manager is edbhospitality@gmail.com. Please contact me immediately in order to discuss compensation for waiting outside of your store for over an hour without a chance of getting into your store and jeopardizing my job interview! Very unprofessional. I do not reccomend this store to anyone.

Very disorganized. Came to pick up my rental tux as part of a group of groomsmen and the store staff couldn't tell whether it was already paid for so I paid in full. Then when I brought it back on time, I triple-checked with the store staff that I brought back everything to have it accounted for, and the staff assured me that 'yes, don't worry it's all here, you're all good!'. Then the following day I get a call asking where my suit is! I recommend getting everything in writing, don't rely on verbal agreements when dealing with this place. At least the tux itself fitted fine and looked great - it's just the service that made the whole group of groomsmen very nervous.

An "Anna" was clueless, gave me all the wrong information about the wedding I was attending, double charged me and claimed that "because it only went through once on her machine" I still haven't gotten my refund. I will never be back and will never refer. Just go somewhere else.

I ordered a couple suits online a couple months ago as there was a decent sale and free shipping. I had bought suits previously from tiptop, so I knew the quality and size and fit. When I received the two suits, the one suit did not have the pants included. I inquired through email what the problem was, and was told that they were low on stock and having trouble finding them, they would be sent out when located. After a couple weeks I kept getting emails that I forgot something in my cart. More emails back-and-forth I was being told that the pants were no longer available and they were working on taking them down off of the website. Another couple weeks and many emails saying that I “forgot” something in my cart, I finally just clicked to confirm or whatever and complete the order in my cart that wasn’t sent to me, and I got the missing pants a few days later. But now I was charged twice as much even though they apparently “were no longer available“...somehow I got them. But because the jacket was sent separately and then the pants sent separately, I didn’t get the proper suit hanger with that suit, and it took probably another two weeks and probably 4 emails before I got a partial refund on the pair of pants that were “not available” that I received. I was just about to reverse the charges on my credit card when that partial refund was issued. What a terrible experience being lied to and jerked around, and in the end, after a month and a half long ordeal, didn’t even end up with an apology or some monetary incentive to try and keep me as a customer in the future. Don’t even have a hanger for the suit.

I went in on Monday to begin the search for a new suit for the wedding on Saturday to walk my daughter down the isle. I have purchased from this store in Peterborough before. Giving this place a 2 star because I love the brand clothing and shopping at their stores. From London ontario to Ottawa. BUT my first terrible experience was dealing with an older lady at this location in St. Laurant mall. She was very rude with my wife and I. She threw the receipt on the counter and walked away. I asked to speak to a manager and she claimed she was the manager. My wife and I walked out and asked another employee if she was the manager, he told me she wasnt but shes been working there for a very long time. My wife and I will be taking our clothes shopping else where. She was so rude to the point my wife doesnt like anything from there. Sorry to say that lady needs to leave. That wasnt the only time she was rude. But that was the last time I need to deal with someone like this.

I just visited this location with my fiance hoping to find some info on suites for our wedding. We where in the store for 5 minutes and not greeted. Mind you we where the only customers in the store. We looked through and then had to approach the sales associate who then still did not greet us, made us feel like gum on the bottom of his shoe for bothering him. We had asked the sales associate and showed him a photo in hopes to get some info on how to acquire our custom tux and he looked at us both with disgust and told us he couldn't help us. Did not say sorry. Did not say goodbye. Very unpleased with this service. The man who I would call a gentleman had grey hair. Won't be shopping here ever again.

Bought a $500 suit from them, it was a great experience when I was buying it but the trousers that came with the suit deteriorated to a very bad condition within the first 30 days. Went back to ask what can be done, continuously for the run around from staff. Do not recommend if you want worth for your money. I ordered a suit for grad with my dad and the two women who greeted and helped us was great. 2 days before grad I went to pick it up and they only had parts of the suit. The shoes were too small, the vest was too big, etc, and they said it was the suppliers fault. I walked away upset and that made my parents angry. Tip Tops reimbursed us for the vest but I ain’t going back their again. The service was great but receiving the order was unacceptable, especially when we ordered 3-4 weeks before grad.

Horrendous service. Originally had a shirt put on hold for a wedding till my other stuff arrived. They sold it. Then they ordered the wrong items. I personally called a Calgary store and got them to ship me an item they "couldn't find". When the stuff they did order came in no one called me. I had to go into the store and ask because no one would pick up the phone. When I purchased the items they didn't offer or ask about tailoring. These are the simple mechanics of how a suit and tie place work. Poor experience.

Garbage product. I bought 2 shirts. Both anti wrinkle. A red and a blue shirt. First, both wrinkle worse than a normal shirt. Second, the blue shirt after one wash started developing dark blue lines on the chest and arms. Third, the red shirt, never even worn, has a large black spot on it, it penetrates to the inside of the shirt almost like ink. I very very recommend going somewhere else. This place sells garbage.

I always like tip top tailors ..but in my recent purchase at Oshawa center I had a mixed feelings. There was a salesman and saleswoman in the store. The saleman welcomed me and tried to help me. But the saleswoman completely ignored me and she was not helpful. When I asked for my size she just replied order online!...while her colleague found my size five min later I felt she was only answered to customers from a certain race. I might be wrong but it was my feeling.

The clothes is nice but the older guy at the store today was not very good. I asked for a sizing and he didn't so much as look up and say just a minute...just starred at his computer and said I'll help shortly in a pretty rude and dismissive tone. After waiting about 5 mins or so I decided I didn't like the man and walked out he called after us I told him not to worry about it. I went to sears and got my sizing for a dress shirt and she was very pleasant. Probably won't go back and definitely won't buy from that man.

These guys are very friendly and knowledgeable. I walked in knowing what items I needed, and they helped me find exactly what I was looking for, in a style that I liked. They occasionally have good sales too. For example, if you need a formal fall/winter coat, go in January when they're all 60% off. On some jackets, you can get the pants for free when you buy the jacket. I've done business here before, and will continue to do so. They continually exceed my expectations and do a great job in helping a guy look good. Great service! Thanks a bunch!

1st impression just terrible. Went there specifically to get a suit for my husband to be. Literally three people were on staff and two employees wandering the store together ignored us and we were the only customers in the store besides the person being helped at the front counter. She knew exactly what they needed. Then she went above and beyond and had my husband's shirts and pants steamed and pressed (while we shopped in the mall) as we were going to an event the next morning. All of our boys gifts were a big hit, we can't thank you enough.

After reading the reviews I see that my father and I were not the only people the staff like to ignore. He went to get pants and no one would even look at us let alone bother to ask us if we wanted help. The two girls were too busy chatting with each other at the counter to even look at us despite my staring right at them for a few minutes straight. But when a cute young guy that came in after my elderly father picked up a coat off the rack both girls ran to help him. The manager is not much better. When I complained he just kept saying that his staff read my dad wrong and thought he was just browsing. Didn't seem to actually hear what I was saying despite repeating it many times. You can't read someone wrong if you don't even look at them. Also didn't bother to actually apologize until I said an apology would be nice. So.... my view.... the staff is being paid to chat among themselves and only help cute boys, and the manager doesn't even care; as shown by repeated google reviews stating the staff ignore people. I only gave it one star because I had to. Zero stars for me

I recently spent $400.00 on a suit and sent it away to be tailored. I was told that it would be ready the following Friday for pickup. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I never received a call on the Friday the Tip Top representative specified or over the weekend. I didn't need the suit immediately (thank god) so I didn't bother calling Tip Top until the following Wednesday. When I called (in a polite manner), the woman on the phone was rude and unprofessional. I understand that people have bad days, but her attitude was uncalled for. I specified that I bought a suit and sent it away for tailoring. She couldn't find my name on their database and told me she would call me back. Ten minutes later, she called me back and BLAMED ME for the issue she was having stating "you said that you rented a tuxedo"... I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mix up the word suit with tuxedo. The woman ended up finding my suit and when she told me it was there she hung up without saying goodbye or anything. Overall, I'm glad the woman found my suit, but her attitude and professionalism was horrible. I would also like to know why I didn't receive a phone call telling me my suit was ready...

The quality and selection of the products didn't seem quite as good as that of Moore's, but the prices are a proportionally cheaper as a result. Staff are terrible here. I like tip top tailors selection and sales but I will never shop at this location again. The staff here will ignore you if you are trying to return something. We waited at the till for 20 minutes and the staff ignored us. They stood around waiting for people to try on clothes, but if there was a group of people that walk in they drop everything to help them. They just care about their commissions and nothing else.

We rented suits here for our wedding last summer. You have to wait around sometimes for help but you get their full attention once you have it. A week before our wedding, they called to say the suits were ready. When my husband went to pick them up, two were missing, even though they were marked delivered. A few days later, one of the replacements had arrived but the other hadn’t. We were down to the wire so the tailor actually chopped up one of the other suits and modified it so it would fit my son. You could tell it was too big when you looked closely in person but can’t tell at all in the pictures. The local owner really went above and beyond to ensure they made their commitment even when the franchise didn’t come through. We could tell they genuinely care about their customers. For that reason, we appreciate their service and will definitely drop in the next time we need men’s formal wear.

Went in recently to buy an entire wardrobe. The person working did not approach me or ask me how he could help. I am very uncomfortable in the realm of dress ware and when I asked for assistance I was told bluntly "We don't do that". He expected me to pick things off the shelf and buy them sight unseen, I was the only person in the store and I left even though there were some shirts that caught my eye. I went to Moores and was promptly greeted and the employee was wonderful. We discussed what I was looking for and he helped me select a full wardrobe. He had me try on multiple sizes of each shirt and pants to find the best fit which I appreciated as it takes time to unpin and put back the clothes I didn't buy. He also explained a bunch of things that I am sure are common knowledge to others like how to oil/maintain my shoes.

Extremely disappointed in the service I have received from this location. I have never had issues in the past but this most recent string of incidents has left a bitter taste and I need express just how dissatisfied I am as a client. I don't want to go into painstaking detail about my ordeal but suffice to say, I feel as though the agents I have dealt with have been condescending and have left me embarrassed to even enter the store. I have been made to wait an extraordinary amount of time with little to no updates on my issues and there has been absolutely no resolution for the reason I initially visited. I have tried to remain positive and give them benefit of the doubt in the majority of situations and they continue to let me down. In a small town like Timmins, there aren't a lot of options, but at this point, I would rather take my chances with online shopping over giving this location even a brief whiff of my time. Would absolutely not recommend this location and would urge you to shop elsewhere. In a world where retail shops are dwindling due to online sales, the only saving grace when I shop local is an expectation of customer service and I don't believe this store understands that.

I've had extensive experience at this store over the years and while nobody is perfect all the time, I've seen the work that goes into how they keep the store tidy and merchandised just right. The manager, I've learned, literally has decades of experience working in menswear. You can go into any store in MH and bully the staff into thinking the 'customer is always right' but it is honestly refreshing to walk into a store knowing that I might actually learn something new from the person who is after all, supposed to be the professional in the room. Through observation and personal experience, I know that most negative reviews are probably just some small person (not physically mind you; spiritually, mentally) who was equally at fault. Like the person complaining that "oh I thought the store closed at this time but it actually closed at that time". Really? What a charmed life you must lead to complain of such "problems". Or the gem about "I walk in and the staff are on their phones". How long can you stand, doing nothing without looking at your phone? An hour? Two hours? Yeah, probably five minutes, ten tops. "Well if you've got time to lean you've got time to clean!" you might say. Perhaps, but the store is likely already clean and the staff shouldn't be subjected to punitive and arbitrary cleaning because there are no customers in it at all times. These super-negative retail experiences are simply not that common. Even more uncommon are genuine positive experiences. It is these positive experiences that will keep me coming back to Tip Top. Anyways, rant over. I ought to dock a star from my rating however due to that poorly managed mall they are in.

Went in to this Tip Top location with my wife. I was looking for a pretty standard black suit with some light texture/pattern and went over many of the selections with a salesperson Anita (I think). She was great, went through several different suits as we had something somewhat specific in mind. After a few different suits, we found one that was exactly what was needed. Anita took the measurements to hem the pants and shorten the sleeves on the suit, gave us a ticket and said to come back the following week. At this point, we were quite happy with the purchase and Anita's service. Nothing to complain about. However, once we returned to pick up the suit, things quickly changed. My wife and I showed and presented our ticket to the young lady at the counter. She comes back with the suit and immediately begins to pack it up in a bag... I STRONGLY recommend at least trying on the suit before you leave the store and you'll find out why very shortly. She hands me the suit and I'm already a bit confused. There is a metal pin on the suit that wasn't there when I first tried the suit on. In fact, this suit is obviously grey (not black as the original one I tried on). It was quickly handed to me so I only noticed this as I went to try it on in the dressing room. Not only this, but the tailoring was completely off. Alarm bells are ringing, they somehow mixed up the suits. At this point, after the cashier hears my concerns and double checks the ticket we brought in "matched" the ticket on this suit, we ask to speak to the manager. The manager, Dan (I think) comes over and says "this is the suit on the receipt, I don't know what to tell you". Both my wife and I know this wasn't the suit we originally purchased (very big difference between a black and grey suit). Maybe it was a mistake by Anita during checkout as she had been cycling through a lot of suits in the process, we really don't know at what point the mix up occured... After insisting many times this was not the same suit, the manager tried to find us an alternate suit (at this point, it was one day before the event as the tailoring was supposed to have been done). We can't find anything else with a proper fit, and due to the time crunch, we decided screw it, just do the proper tailoring that we initially paid for (sleeves weren't shortened) and I would come back the following day to pick it up. I show up the following day, try the suit on. Sleeves weren't changed... I'm upset and notice the same manager is in the store so I walk up to him and ask why the sleeves weren't changed. He argues that they were (even though the suit is obviously very ill-fitting), tries to blame it on the way I'm standing (apparently that will somehow change the sleeve length significantly), then finally tells me "I'm not going through this again". My thoughts exactly, I'm not going through this again with this Tip Top location. I got a full refund (and brought back everything I had purchased on the original visit, dress shirts, belt, etc) and swear I will never return to this place again. I didn't have a suit for my event but made due with dress pants and dress shirt, thanks Tip Top... So what have I learned from this experience? 1. Don't visit this Tip Top location. 2. Take a few quick pictures of the suit you want to buy (tags/brand/etc) if you plan on leaving it with a retail chain for tailoring (evidence of the purchase somehow). 3. ALWAYS try on anything that was tailored before you leave an establishment. Had I just picked it up as the cashier originally intended, I would have only noticed just prior to leaving for my event. At least I could go elsewhere and get a back up.

I went there looking for a new suit and despite many of the employees passing by me while holding the suit and waiting for help, all of them ignored me like I was not even visible. I left the shop and went to Zara and paid more money for a good service. They just lost more than me. I will advise all my colleagues not to visit this place.

To start off the employee is not wearing a mask and social distance.Also no hello, no how are you as we walked in. (A young couple) yet one mintue later a teen and a mom come on and get helped off the bat. As we wait at the counter he talks to the pair. Bad service hate that it is one of the only store that has nice male clothing.

Decent place. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some of their stuff seems a bit prices but their sales are usually good. I'm not entirely sure on their sizing though because even within the same store some XL's fit like larges and larges fit like XL's. Staff was extremely polite and friendly though, even willing to check other stores when an item on sale was sold out, without me asking them to.

Goo place to get mens suits. Also a handy little spot to keep in mind you need something altered or repaired. I have used them several times with work, and to fix my own paintball equipment. Only place that would even look at it.

I rented a groomsman suit here last December; the manager measured me up on the spot and did not have me try on anything. I questioned him on this but he assured me that he got all the info he needed. He tells me that the suit will be ready the week before the wedding and to expect a call when it arrives. No one called so I showed up the day it was supposed to be ready and sure enough the shirt & jacket don’t fit. No manager to be found. The employees working told me that it was far too late to have any alterations done and let me take a different shirt (that didn’t look the same as the rental shirt; the bride wasn’t having it so I walked around nearly busting at the seams all wedding day and just left my jacket on all day to hide the rental shirt). They told me that if I reach out after the wedding I should be able to get a refund or discount for all the runaround. I left it be as I had someone else return the suit for me (wedding was not in the city & I don’t live in the city) and just forgot about it. Today I get a call saying that i had not paid for this fiasco. It reminds me that I definitely did pay about $200 for an ill fitting rental suit and that I was going to see about a discount. We straightened out the missing payment and I decide to inquire about that discount that had been mentioned. They tell me that the transaction has been completed and that I should’ve gotten the discount when I was renting the suit. Sounds like they are getting out of the rental business anyway (probably for the best). Either way, I won’t be shopping here anymore and neither should you.

Very pleasant experience as a first-time customer at this location. I was greeted and offered assistance by two very professional gentlemen and felt very comfortable just browsing around. Pricing is quite competitive and the store was very clean; pandemic protocols were also rigorously adhered to. I would definitely recommend this business for any formalwear needs one might have!

We rented from here for or wedding. Suits turned out fine but my irritation was with the customer service. The manager is very rude ( she was rude to me and my Fiancé as well as my mother on seperate occasions) so much so we considered going to the Peterborough location. As we didn't want to give this location the sale. Also another employee stood complaining about another employee to customers and in front of us for doing something wrong when in fact it was her that messed up. I think the other employee deserved an apology. Overall not professional at all and the manager needs a reality check.

Firstly, the store. The store is set up very nicely. From the signage to the placement of the mirrors and everything in between. It was all in the right place. The employee that helped me was amazing! She was so helpful. She found the right colours and sizes for me. She knew that I didn't know where to start and just did it all for me. I bought 7 to 8 pairs of pants here which was quite expensive and each one had to be brought to a tailor to be fixed as the bottom just came apart. When I pay this kind of money I expect a quality product and for that reason I will be shopping elsewhere.

I had an overall good experience there. A lady from Nigeria was quite helpful and provided good custom service for me. She even tied my tie for me. The lady that may be from Eastern Europe was also nice. When I came back to get my clothes that were on hold the next day, there was some confusion as to their whereabouts but they were found. A note for customers to always check what they are paying for when buying things. There are often additional costs for things whether buying a suit or buying a new car. Little extra things can be added up to beyond the anticipated cost. Same for restaurants for that matter (little additives). Transparency in sales is still lacking generally but the customer must be prudent with their wallets and purses.

I got a suit and two dress shirts on a great deal here. The woman running the service counter was very courteous and helpful when looking for my clothes: honest in her opinions and helpful with suggestions. I never felt pressured to buy up and was even led to some good deals. The clothes themself are good quality for the price. The fitting was fairly hassle-free and the final product was everything I was looking for. My only complaint is that going in on a weekday: there was only one person to help with 3 customers all looking for assistance. Having more staff in could definitely improve the experience considering the money being dropped on suits. Overall, would recommend!

Chris helped me from the start to the end first asking what colours I was looking for, and then price range; and I ended up with something much less expensive than my price range! Chris was very thorough with making sure he found the right fit for me, and we got something I was very happy with together in good time (about 10-15 minutes)! Chris and Farrell really helped with ties as well, and I really appreciated them finding styles that were interesting that they personally liked. Overall, it was a perfect shopping experience!
