Here you have all the information of real people who purchased the products and services of House of Vienna (Tailor) in Langley (Canada).
Currently this business gets a score of 3.6 stars out of 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is good, and it's based on a very large number of opinions, so we can conclude that the rating is very faithful. If many people have bothered to leave their score when they are happy, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place tatings when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

I wand to sincerely Thank the store manager Kim and the company for being so gracious and generous toward pageant competitors who rely heavily on sponsors and kind people like dear Kim. Thank you so much for helping Miss Face of beauty international and Canada on her journey to represent Canada in India in the Le Femme Worldwide competitions. We are grateful for your enormous support ????. Also the dress was absolutely stunning ???????? Team Arshin M. ❤️
It pays to shop around. Yes they may have the largest selection i have seen in wedding dresses and prom dresses but they are way overpriced!!! I saw the EXACT dress in another store in the lower mainland for $700 less. If you know your dresses and brands you can find the style number online and get it for cheaper. Just call around and save yourself the money.
Overall, we did not have a great experience, from purchase to pick-up. My sisters and I made an appointment to try on and pick up our dresses (bridesmaid and wedding dress) and they weren't prepared at all. The wedding dress wasn't even steamed so the bride didn't get a great idea of how the dress would lay (sequins and lace). The lady helping us said she didn't know we were coming and didn't apologize at all for the mix-up. Instead made excuses. At a bridal store you hope for a positive experience, especially when you're spending a lot of money! If we could do it over again, we would have bought our dresses from somewhere else.
Today we went looking for my daughter's Prom dress. From the second we walked into the store Kimberly was absolutely amazing. We got to sit and relax while she went and gathered dresses for my daughter to try on. Every single dress was stunning and would have been beautiful but we all agreed the first dress she tried was the one. It was the dress that made me cry and made her feel like a princess. Thank you Kimberly for making today the best experience I could have asked for. You definitely know your dresses and are incredibly friendly. I can't say enough great things about this place. If you are looking for a dress this is the ONLY place you need to go!!
Excellent service - awesome selection of dresses.
Beautiful selection of dresses and pleasant atmosphere. We found the dress for my daughter's Grade 12 Grad...so exciting! Thank you!
Excellent service. The staff are patient and really took their time with teenagers coming in for grad dress shopping
Great place!!!
If you are on the higher end of plus size, dont bother. I emailed the shop before booking an appointment to confirm if they had sample sizes I could try. I was told that they had some of my exact size to try on and asked if I wanted an appointment. I booked an appointment for a few days later (today) and when I was pointed in the direction of the gowns even remotely close to my size, my heart sunk. Not only did they not have the sample sizes they suggested, the only ones that were close were few and far between. A complete waste of my time. The staff member who was assisting me was very nice and listened to my complaints when I voiced my opinions. This is nothing against her. Just maybe a note for those who manage the email - be honest about things like this because this trip nearly ruined my day.
Very friendly and professioal staff. Very knowledgeable and love what the do! Amazing help in helping my daughter with her grad dress. Thank you.
Consultant did not listen to my friend's basic requests, and tried to push her own idea of what a bride should look like on her. Our appointment was double booked, and the entire experience was unpleasant and discouraging.
Not Awesome! I went to House of Vienna as my #2 place to try on Wedding Dresses. Upon arriving we were not greeted, and then when we were looking at dresses the sales staff rudely told my family there we not aloud to look at the dresses and she would get them based off what I wanted. I brought my family to help, and at that point I was ready to walk out. Reluctantly my family told me to stay and ignore the bad service. As I was trying on dresses the sales staff was OK. Wasnt horrible, but was not great. I didnt feel like it was special, or that she really cared about what I was looking for - just kept pulling dresses at the top of my price point. The store also, is very out-dated with horrible lighting and semi-smells like old shoes. It needs an upgrade for sure. I would not recommend this store to other brides, there are better stores in Langley, or not far from Langley that are worth the trip over this place.
Very overpriced. Had a bridal appt and a bridesmaids appt and both associates didn't really help us or listen to exactly what we wanted. They were more concerned with helping others or putting me in dresses that werent what I was looking for and also not my size . Pretty poor experience.
Amazing amazing AMAZING. We went to other bridal places and immediately came back here. Susan and the rest of the staff are incredible, so nice and polite. She gave us one-on-one time and made great recommendations. They know their stuff!!!
Great service. Walk in. No problem. Found the perfect dress and shoes and was allowed to take a photo to show my hubby. Yes a little bit pricey. But that’s the price u have to pay to look awesome.
Kim, the owner is very nice and welcoming. All the staff are kind, patient and supportive. We had a tight budget to work with and Kim hand picked the dress and gave it for an awesome price. Trinh, the seamstress, was creative using little bits of lace with beading to create a bit of dazzle and to hide a few spots on the back. Do note that the staff give a rough estimate for alterations while you are trying on the dress. If it matters, make sure to talk to Trinh who has the experience to know what is needed. Our final alteration bill was double then what we were told while trying on the dress. I spent a good deal of time trying on dresses in the store and all staff were very understanding with my indecision. I would heartily recommend House of Vienna for any bride looking for her dress for the big day.
Kim is incredible!
My daughter bought her grad dress here 4 years ago. When she started booking for her wedding I said to make sure she booked here as well. We went in and she tried many different dresses and styles. She found the perfect dress and they blinged her up perfectly. We did not commit immediately even though the consultant was definite trying to close the sale. We went to another booked appointment and found an almost perfect dress, but the same feeling just didn't seem to be there. We dropped back into HoV unannounced, put the dress back on a soon as consultant was available, got the bling on and made the commitment. Always get great service here! Not ignored like the place down the street
Great selections, unfortunately, out of our budget :(
I had an amazing experience buying my wedding dress at House of Vienna! I came straight from David's Bridal, where I had a bad experience. The ladies at House of Vienna managed to squeeze me in without an appointment and really turned my day around :) I found a dress that I love for a great price, and the experience I had was far better than any of the other bridal stores I have been to. The atmosphere is so comfortable and relaxing, their selection is great, and the dresses are much higher quality than some other stores. My consultant really went out of her way for us, and I'm so glad we ended up going there. Highly recommend!!
Guest review by Evan K's fiancee: If you're looking for a great wedding dress buying experience head to House of Vienna and ask for Marion. This was my third attempt at buying a dress for a summer wedding and my best experience by far. Marion took the time to understand how i wanted to feel on my wedding day, asked about my fiancee and understood what we're hoping for from the day. HOV had an excellent selection of dresses in all sizes, styles and price points. The dressing rooms are huge and have plenty of seating for the people who join you. Most impressive was Marion's kind supportive encouragement and her honest, trustworthy feedback. This is thr most excited I've felt about wedding planning and i was really pleased to give her my business. Note: you are asked to remove your shoes at the door to keep the dresses clean; slippers are provided. They have had feedback that the decor is a bit dated - don't let that distract you from the excellent selection of dresses and exceptional customer service.
People are way too pushy and basically force you to buy the dress, even if it doesn't look good. Would not recommend. Bought a dress and I realized I don't like it, all dresses are final sale. You are also not allowed to take pictures until you buy the dress. Really upset with this place.
Just want to give a shout out to Marion and the ladies at House of Vienna. I don’t enjoy dress shopping but you made it GREAT! Thank you Marion for your excellent service today, I will definitely be coming back again!
I was very pleased with our experience in the store, we were welcomed with smiles and kind words even though they were super busy. We had already been to a few stores looking for grad dresses but they made us feel comfortable and at home. We would recommend them every time.
Awesome service and selection! Kim has a real knack for helping you find that perfect dress!
Great service

Having little to no experience in the wedding dress shopping arena, a small group of family and I went on a treck to price some dresses and if possible, maybe try something on. We had gone to a couple bridal shops in Langley that day (this was back in October) and neither would accomodate us as we didn't have an appointment - fair enough, we'd never done this before and didn't realize it was required. We decided to pull into House of Vienna as a last stop and were greeted very warmly. We explained how we didn't have an appointment and apologized, stating our intention was just to take a look around if possible. To our surprise we were not only invited to look around, but were also provided with a private fitting room in under five minutes. (They actually apologized for the wait too). After being offered some refreshments, I took a look around and tried on a couple of dresses which I thought would be to my liking - Again, as I was a complete newbie at this, they didn't really fit as expected. Kathleen, being the absolute wizard that she is was insanely patient with us, and really knew her stuff. She suggested that I try on a more fitted dress and we thankfully took her word for it. It was STUNNING. In under 30 minutes we went from not having an appointment to purchasing the dress! The follow-up fitting and alteration appointments went just as smoothly and the dress fit like an absolute dream on the big day! The seamstress even went out of her way on her day off to fabric match some custom removable lace straps for the dress as well, which turned out amazing! I'd definitely recommend House of Vienna! Every member of the staff was pleasant and professional, and we really appreciate the work that they did.
Have been here before and was not approached or talked to by any employees. Came here a second time with two friends and were told we could only try on one dress each after driving 40 minutes to get here :/
I purchased my grad dress here and they made it an awesome experience for my mom and I. All the laddies who work there are lovely! Very clean store and very knowledgeable. Lots of mirrors, big change rooms and good luxury like options for grad dresses.
My girlfriend and I were out shopping for a bridesmaid's dress on Saturday, and we went to a few places in New West where I found my dress, however afterwards we went to end of the groom (DO NOT GO THERE!) with no luck, David's Bridal with no luck, and finally House of Vienna- Where we found our luck!!! My gf found 2 top contenders and the support we received from this store was overwhelming! When you first arrive, you have to take your shoes off, and they offer you these extremely cute pink slippers to wear while you are in store! The wonderful ladies that work there also offer you a beverage (I had green tea) and there couches are SO COMFY!!! In addition, my gf had help from one of the reps the entire time! I mean this woman did not leave her side not once! And ultimately we found 2 dresses to choose from. I will definitely be going back here and I highly recommend to anyone else looking for a dress store! I knew this store would be a good one considering my name is in the title of it, haha! ENJOY YOUR EXPERIENCE!!!!
I never write reviews but I can't say enough great things about House or Vienna and the staff. Caelah welcomed me and my mom and sisters and led us to the change rooms where a lush couch and private large changing platform are set up beautifully so you can see every angle of your dress and give your crew a good look without feeling like you're showing off to strangers. Caelah sat down with me for a quick chat to go over budget and style and ideas and and picked out some dresses for me to try. Honestly, every dress she picked fit very close to my size and preferences and were beautiful choices. She was great at pointing out aspects of dresses and asking important questions I wouldn't have thought of to help me make a decision. and for my guests, she made them feel included and even served up some beverages bro make the whole experience feel comfortable and special. I did do a walk through the shop floor to see if there were any more dresses I might like to try but I couldn't top the perfect options she had already picked out for me. I think this shop should be on every bride's list. a truly special, and helpful experience that made me feel gorgeous and glamourous and completely at home.
Helpful staff, good selection.
Worst experience I have ever been a part of. My best friend's daughter is going to be a bridesmaid in September. Not sure why the bride chose this place. Her first fitting did not go well. The dress looked awful and she was very unhappy with the fit. I am a professional dressmaker and designer, so she asked me to come along and give her some input. Her bad feelings were right on! The dress did indeed look terrible. The top made her look like a linebacker. The straps looked very cheap and weren't even the same size. The dress is an empire style but when I tried to explain that the torso was way to long and needed shortening the alterationist tried to tell me the dress was not empire and said it was the same style as the one she was wearing - it was a drop waist! That was when I informed her of my credentials and she stopped making stupid excuses for the terrible fit. I explained what needed to be changed and she agreed. Two weeks later (today) we arrived for a scheduled appointment only to find out that the alterations had not been done and they did not bother to call and reschedule the appointment, so we drove all the way from Maple Ridge for nothing. After making lame excuses about a family emergency yesterday (she had 2 weeks but left the alterations until the day before the scheduled fitting?) I voiced my disappointment at the poor service and the unprofessional way she conducted herself (her name is Trinh) and she informed me that she is "sooo busy". Both times I was there the store was empty and when she opened her appointment book to schedule another fitting the book was empty! We decided to take the dress as is and I would make the needed alterations. Horrible place and the so-called "alteration specialist" has no clue what she is doing. Would not recommend to my worst enemy! Trinh was rude and condescending and thought it was okay to call me "honey". I am old enough to be her grandmother! Beware of this place!
I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by the sales woman we encountered today and her severe lack of class. Not only did she shame my girlfriend to a large group of strangers but she repeatedly laughed in her face and made rude and inappropriate comments. Regardless of a person’s personal timeline, budget or taste there is absolutely place for that behaviour. If you can’t treat everyone with kindness, respect and dignity you shouldn’t be working in a customer service / sales position. I will NEVER go back here. Beautiful dresses but they aren’t worth the way you’ll be treated. 0 stars.
Very rude staff and when we pointed out that our budget was on the smaller side they couldn't be bothered with us and said they couldn't accommodate our budget. The consultant allowed my sister to try on 2 dresses and when we wanted to try a third she said no and that our budget won't work with that dress. Then that was it....what horrible experience.
I went in on a weekday without an appointment and Marion was very friendly and accommodating. She let us walk around to check out dresses and since it was not that busy, I was able to try on dresses as well. She was attentive and conversational but also made sure all customers were being looked after, even if she couldn't be with all of them all of her time. The layout of the dresses according to style makes it easy to peruse around and there is plenty of room in the shop and change room area. A great selection and easy to park at the store location itself.
Kim was so helpful. With the vast collection in her shop she did make our fitting appointment worthwhile and successful. Highly recommend to shop for prom dresses.
I came to HOV after some preliminary searching in Vancouver at dresses. I found HOV to be a very positive experience. I ended up saying yes to the dress on my return trip. The consultant Marion was wonderful and very attentive from the very beginning. The only things I would change would be being able to look at the racks myself so that I could get a better idea of what they offered as the consultant does the selections of dresses for you; and allowing photos while trying dresses on. I did order another dress online prior to the initial shopping trip and I had a very hard time remembering what the HOV dress looked like on so I was considering keeping the dress I had ordered which was $700 cheaper. I did decide to go back in and try the dress on again which ended up being the dress I wanted. Overall a good experience and would recommend. Make an appt, bring some wine and ask for Marion to help you!
Who exactly do they think they are? Remove your shoes, turn off your phone..all for. poor quality dresses and decor that has been zap-strapped and put together with packing tape. I could have tolerated all of that if there was ANY customer service at all. Rude sales people who just spoiled the mood. Not another customer in the store so no excuse there. On to David’s Bridal.
We had BY FAR the best customer service and overall experience here shopping for my wedding dress! We were walk-ins and asked if they had some time that day to fit us in, expecting to have to come back later on in the day, but they accommodated us right away and made the experience so special! Jen Smiley (love her las name, fits her perfectly) offered us wine and anything else to drink, let us choose dresses as well as pulled some dresses she thought I might like. The fitting rooms were SO large and roomy. She helped create a whole look for each dress, pulling jewelry etc to help give a better idea of what you'll like like the day of. And she didn't pressure us in any way, just made the experience so much fun. We ended up creating a kind of custom gown between a couple different ones, and I'm SO excited to see it for the first time! They did ask everyone to take off their shoes, I think that's just to help keep the gowns clean, there's obviously a lot of white in there :P I had no problems with that.
The dress is really pretty! and the people are nice good experience, get your dress here! lots of choice
Stunning dresses and my sister fell in love at first site when she saw her wedding dress! Ladies are always so accommodating and helpful!
Large selection of bridal wear but lacks the feeling of glamour that should be evident for a bride to feel special. Staff very helpful.
Ok I wasn't going to do this because I am to blame as well and I'll be upfront and completely honest about that however the end result is not sitting with me very well. I'll keep it short . I go initially to purchase a dress in 1000 dollar range . Stipulations are I am getting married at a drag racing track so I must bend and the dress is going to ruined on the bottom . First gal very kind and sweet up sold me to a 2700 dollar dress , white and beautiful . I would have to change my wedding plans to make this one work because I look so amazing . I leave it there and work on my plans of change . I come back a couple weeks later and tell the owner , also an amazing lady, that I changed my plans but it will still be outdoors and I can't justify the price so we changed it . We found a whimsical one that would suit the occasion for about 1000. I again left the dress there and had a chat with my fiancé . We decided that I was acting on a whim and I should have held my ground from the first one ( my fault) I went back for a third time and put my cards on the table . Too much $ and not appropriate for my original plans The third lady that helped (equally sweet) showed me one that would work as it was two piece and black on the bottom so it could get dirty . Here's the part that is unacceptable and I won't accept blame . The price was 579. And had self tanner all over the back panel that would not come out at all . The sales lady made the comment we will do a straight exchange on the dress . So yes this means I paid over 1000 for a stained dress that was labeled 579. I guess this was to be my loss for taking three times to find an dress that would work . Long story short a bad taste is left in my mouth and I'll be purchasing another one from a different location . Thanks for punishing me . FYI if I practised this at my store I'd be in a lot of trouble from the better business bureau. Oh and I will be donating my 1000 dollar investment to someone else to whom I shall mention nothing of my story and make their adventure special .
Kim and her team were absolutely fantastic!! We were shopping for Grad dresses and they went above and beyond making my daughter feel like a princess. They were so patient and kind and didn’t make her feel rushed as she tried on over 10 dresses and several a few times till she found the right one. I admit the no camera phone part took me back a bit but then when they explained that the right dress was all about the “emotion” and feeling you have in it.. not letting the Camera to decide that for you. Once she put on “the Dress” it all made sense ???? Just like it was back in the day when we tried on wedding dresses till we got to the one that made us cry.. we knew in our heart it was the right one. Amazing experience!!!
So I had already heard some negative things about this place before I went, but decided to go anyways. I will say my consultant was very nice and I don’t fault her at all. But this store itself is an absolute scam. All dresses have the tags removed so you don’t know what designer you are trying on. They might say these are “exclusive” or “made just for” them. But this is false. I liked a dress and then found the EXACT same dress at another bridal store with the label still attached so I could see it was a Stella York dress. The dress was $500 more at House of Vienna. Clearly they remove the tags to try to make it difficult to compare prices. This comes across as very shady. Add on the 15 “no photos” signs everywhere, along with the second staff member that hung over my friends shoulder to make sure no photos were taken and I knew I would not be purchasing from here, nor will I be recommending it. Very shady business practices. Avoid this place.
Terrible customer service. Was approached by two women who were incredibly rude and basically told us to leave because their change rooms were full. Didn’t even give us an option to browse and I had to ask to do so. Can’t even put into words how their facial expressions were while speaking to us. Pathetic. Unprofessional and absolutely no class, and you guys run a “bridal” shop? I bet the employees don’t even take their reviews into consideration because despite the other negative reviews, nothing has changed. For someone who entered here for the first time, this is NOT the impression you want to make on your customers.
Went to find brides maid dresses. Consultant only helped with putting dresses we chose into the room and taking them out. The bride was the one trying to hold fabric in place to get an idea of what it would look like, so she did not get an idea of what it was supposed to look like from the right angle. There was one dress that we did not understand how to wear, and when we asked the consultant she had no idea and told us there were instructions online. We were placed in a very small room without mirrors when there were 3 other rooms that would have been better suited. Will not be returning, would not recommend.
Had an awful experience start to finish! Dresses are overpriced and are very cheap quality! Bridesmaid Dresses came falling apart, all complete wrong sizes which I'm sure they do on purpose to than create alterations! Also my wedding dress was to short, they kept assuring me it was fine and without my knowledge or asking they took out a layer of crinilin... needless to say on my wedding day my dress was to short and in some photos you can see my feet! My sister had to go back and forth from store 5 plus times because dress was to short and wrong size! I'm 5'8 she's 5'9.. not sure the big issue and why they didn't order longer dresses?! They left a bad taste in ALL of our mouths! After purchasing service went down! They pressure you into buying a dress plus a bunch of other items ALL over priced and cheap quality! Bridesmaid dresses had unfinished seams and when an actual seamstress seen the dresses (not from there store, an outside seamstress) she could not believe the make of the bridesmaids dresses! She was speechless and told my bridesmaid very bad quality and dress was atleast 2 sizes too big! Just horrible place, do not recommend as it left me having a bad experience with my dress!!! Not worth the money and too much of a headache! Avoid this place it is an absolute JOKE!
I went with my daughter to try on wedding dresses for the first time. Thank you so much for making this experience the absolute WORST!
After not being able to drop the weight I gained from an injury to get my original dress to fit, Georgia and Kim went above and beyond to help me find a dress in my size with less than 2 months to my wedding and I ended up loving it more than the original! They had an amazing selection for me to look at despite being plus sized and made me feel amazing.
Kim is best ????
Love this place and the staff, I will be getting all high end occasion dresses from here.
This store is unlike any other. Unique selection of gowns, big spacious change rooms, refreshments served & friendly staff! Highly recommend!
Great experience! Made grad dress shopping a special experience for my daughter!
Unless you plan on spending at least $1000, do not come here. If you go in to browse the lady behind the desk rudely asks what you want, and points you away. Was not a pleasant experience. Go to David's Bridal instead!
A huge disappointment at House of Vienna! My daughter was wedding dress shopping and left very upset following our experience at House of Vienna. -Sales lady was abrasive and inconsiderate and was asking personal questions about her pants size, dress budget etc in front of guest and other patrons. This could have been done in private or written on the information sheet. - We were served a glass of wine by a 12 year old girl! Very inappropriate and illegal. -The bride was not allowed to look at any dresses or pick out a dress to try on. She sat and waited for the sales lady to go pick out dresses that she thought would suit my daughter's "personality". - She brought very old dresses that were in poor condition and were too small for the bride who is a size 6. -Very over priced dresses. -The bride was only given 45 minutes of the 90 minute reserved appointment time. We were told that they are a busy store yet there were two empty change rooms beside us. She refused to let the bride or myself look at any dresses because they only sometimes let "walk ins" look at dresses. - We expressed our concerns and disappointment, to who I believe was the manager, and she gave a very superficial "I'm sorry that you weren't happy" response. - I have another daughter that is married so we have been to many bridal stores where we have had a much better experience. We were always allowed to look at dresses and the bride would pick out dresses she liked. - We went to Everything But the Groom Bridal store that same day and were treated like valued customers and had a fabulous experience! House of Vienna could learn a lot from this store.
I went with my friend to try on wedding dresses, and we had a fantastic experience! The selection of dresses was huge and Kim was able to narrow down the style that suited my friend perfectly! Her experience and expertise is evident, and she was able to translate what my friend was looking for in a dress! The whole experience was super fun- we even had wine!
Bought my grad dress here and couldn't be happier with it.
Highly recommend!!! They made the process of choosing my bridesmaids dresses and color matching ties for the groomsmen a breeze! They went above and beyond to make it a personal and absolutely perfect experience!!
Kim is amazing! I have never met someone that is so good and well fitted for their job. I came in with no idea what I wanted and Kim had me in my dream dress within seconds.
Amazing service! The entire staff was very friendly and helped me find my dream dress.
Arrived with a large group and were treated well from the start. We got dresses and tuxedos and would highly recommend this store. Staff really know their stuff!
They had a large selection of beautiful wedding dresses. I found many that I liked. A bit on the higher end of the budget compared to some other shops - almost all wedding dresses were over $1500. One thing that was disappointing was that we weren’t allowed to take pictures of the dresses I tried on. I get that they are trying to keep their designs a secret. But it’s hard to decide on a dress if you can’t go back and look at pics.
I bought a dress at the place and the service was great. The lady was kind but we had to get alternations and was told that it would cost about $80 but later learned that it would cost $365 because I need three separate appointments. The lady also told me to bring my shoes to the appointment but the seamstress never needed it. The very first appointment was just looking at what needed to be done for my dress. I spent days looking for shoes and rushed to get a pair I want confident with to find out it wasn't needed.
Well if I could they would not give a star at all. They have horrible customer service. I went with my mother and made of honor to find the wedding dress of my dreams, and Janine the lady helping me out was probably the rudest person I have ever met. She kept telling me that my skin was to white and that I shouldn't get a white dress but instead have a yelloish/champagne colored dress. Then I finally found a dress I somewhat liked and she said she can order it in a bigger size or else I need to lose weight like that is any of her business. Every dress I wanted to try she wouldn't let me because she said it wouldn't look good on me. Your job is to help me find a dress not insult me. I was really disappointed with all that happened. The worst place to go for dresses.
When I got engaged last year, I did the Bridal Alley in New West, I went out to Abby, and also the locals stores in Langley. House of Vienna was my last stop, after another local Langley store (where I found the dress I wanted - but was on a tight budget). Kim and the staff at House of Vienna were so welcoming, we tried many different styles and I valued their honest opinions. Kim worked with me and my budget to get me the most amazing dress, and everytime I went back for fittings, the staff was amazing. I have seen bad reviews just like everyone else, but after being here and getting to know Kim and the girls, it really makes me wonder if in fact these reviews were written by "Bridezillas" I highly recommended House of Vienna. Be open and honest with them and tell them your vision and your budget and they will try their best.
Love it here best service nicest people and amazing choices love love love it!!!! Always a 10/10 in my books and kim is the best and made me feel amazing in my dress thank you!
Went shopping for a wedding dress today with my maid of honor, mother and one of my bridesmaids. Came straight from a terrible experience at David's Bridal. Our rep was absolutely wonderful, very attentive, great listener, amazing sense of humor. Never was measured she was able to eyeball and found things that fit me like a glove. Lovely selection, when we walked in we were immediately welcomed and given a glass of wine each and our rep wanted any and all ideas I had. Whenever I had anything on she made me feel like an absolute angel, she started to pull accessories and things to embellish the dress and everything she grabbed got better and better. I was the reps one and only priority which made me feel very important. Very spacious, lovely set up with sofas and large change rooms, 360 mirror looks. I cannot recommend this place enough, most dresses are made my smaller designers and do not feel cheap, they are amazing quality with great prices. SKIP DAVIDS BRIDAL AND COME HERE! You will not be disappointed.
Well, I was not overly impressed. First of all, the sales girl helping us was wearing barefeet!! Like, really??? I am here to buy an expensive dress and that is how you dress? How about a pair of slip-ons? I was turned off right away from that. Also, I though it was very strange that they rip out all the tags from the dresses and put their own tags on dresses. Makes me wonder what type of business they are doing. Seems unfair to the buyer to not know what brand the dress is so they can't look it up on-line or price compare with other stores. I guess in the end it doesn't matter as I headed to another store in Langley, found the same dress and paid less for it (and my sales consultant was wearing shoes).
Great staff and Kim, the owner, is fantastic.
They have the most amazing staff that make sure you have the best experience possible !
Staff was not helpful
Ladies were so helpful and awesome!!
Very friendly and nice people, helped me pick out a very beautiful grad dress. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dress.
Couldn't be happier with Kim at House of Vienna! I am from Vancouver Island and have been to at least 10 different bridal stores over the past year (Victoria, Nanaimo, Kamloops, and even New Jersey while I was on vacation) and this was the best experience I've had since I began my search for a wedding dress. We arrived a little early (after making an appointment for the same day... and on a Saturday too!) and we were welcomed by the lady at the desk who was busy with customers but told us to come in and also help ourselves to any of the items on display at the front table. So my Mom and I started browsing and I was feeling a little overwhelmed with the massive selection, but within a few minutes another woman came over, introduced herself as Kim, shook our hands, and invited us into the back to sit down and have a chat. She made us feel so comfortable and asked all sorts of questions about what I was looking for, what my wedding was going to be like (indoor or outdoor, big or small, etc), what the groom was going to be wearing, and we even showed her a couple of photos of my favourite dresses I had tried on so far. After about 5 or 10 minutes of chatting, she said she had one dress in mind, so went and pulled it out for me to try... and it was amazing! I still tried on a few more dresses, but kept going back to the first one, and in the end, decided to order it before we left the store! Kim was so patient and even while trying on the dresses was still asking questions, pulling different dresses, and confirming what was going through my head while my mind was bouncing all over the place with all the details to think about. Throughout the visit we found out that Kim has been in the business for about 25 years, and it certainly shows - she was just the best! After picking my own dress and before we left, we got my Mom to try on a few bridesmaid dresses, which also turned out to be great fits. I would recommend Kim's store and expertise to anyone! While I was on the mainland I was originally planning on going to a bridal strip in New West, but in researching the stores before I went over, I came across a fantastic, detailed review for "Image in White Wedding Gallery", which was the old store before Kim moved to Langley. The review helped me decide it might be worth going to Langley to check it out, and I'm sure glad I did! Thanks to whoever posted that review, and thanks Kim for being so awesome!
Had an amazing experience, great fun, great service and found the gown of my dreams!
Have been dealing with Kim since I graduated ten years ago buying my prom dress to buying bridesmaid dresses, to this month buying my wedding dress. Kim knows what she is doing and knows how to make me feel comfortable with what I’m wearing even if I go in with a completely different idea in my head. I will never go anywhere else!
When the alteration lady Trin tells you no one else can do what she can believe her and take your dress elsewhere, worst experience of my life. Started by waiting 20 minutes after my appointment time to try on the dress as she sews it in the back (disorginized and unprepared for my appointment made 2 weeks earlier). Eventually comes out to hem and told to come back in an hour and pick up only to wait an hour after that for a second fitting. The dress looked worse than when i bought it off the rack. The top was the wrong cup size apparently my chest is too big and the hem was not strait at all. Took my business elsewhere buyer beware not even worth the one star never again.
We called this store last minute on a Sunday hoping they could squeeze us in and fortunately they were able to accommodate us. They have a lot of selection upon first glance which was great. We met our consultant which was a very young girl then another lady asked about my budget and size. We were told to go into the racks and see what we liked. I was then told that I should only look at the last 1/4 of that racks as all the other sizes were 0-6 and I shouldnt bother trying those on unless I can imagine what they will look like in my size" I asked what to do if I liked a dress in a smaller size. I was told that it is impossible for them to carry duplicate dress in other sizes as they have over 500 styles and that is just the way it is. After that we were pretty much left to our own devices and wasnt showed to a fitting room or anything we just had to find the one with our dresses in it. I didnt feel comfortable asking our consultant to help with putting the dresses on because as I said she was quite young and she didnt offer. I had to get my sister to help but with dresses that didnt fit and no clips or anything in the room we didnt stay long. Overall the location seemed a bit dirty and dingy and the dresses were all in sizes 6 or lower so selection for bigger brides is very minimal. The dresses themselves are very expensive and didnt seem to be very good quality. I wouldn't waste your time here and stick with Everything But the Groom where we had a great appointment.
Horrible service. Rude staff. My friend and I went to look for grad dresses and was greeted by an unfriendly employee. Instead of guiding us to where we needed to go, she asked what we were looking for, and then brushed us off. While I was trying the dresses on, the employee came up to our moms and asked if we were done yet. We had only been there for 15 minutes, and in that time nobody came and asked us if we needed help. there were only two other customers there. For the high prices of the dresses, you would expect to have a good experience. unfortunately that's not the case. And we were also asked to remove our shoes. Im not sure why.
Brilliant experience with House of Vienna! Even though I was unexpectedly out of the country until a week before my wedding, they were able to get my dress done in time and beautifully done! The only thing I will say is there was a bit of communication breakdown between the staff as what I stated I wanted altered on my dress and bridesmaid's dressed in November, I had to repeat in July as it did not appear to have been written down anywhere. But that is a significant time lapse and no harm done!! :)
We had a good experience at the House of Vienna. There is quite the selection of dresses. I booked an appointment on a friday and it seemed they were very short staffed as they only had one consultant named Mikaela available for assistance. She was full of energy, suggestions and seemed very passionate about her job. I really appreciated her ability to run around and help everything in the store while assisting me in my hunt for a dress. I went back the next day to try on a few dresses again that caught my eye and the manager was there. She seemed unfriendly and annoyed when we came in with only 45 minutes before closing. She went around cleaning and never once acknowledged us. On our way out, we thanked Mikaela for her time again as it was yet another great experience with her. The manager didn't even say good bye.
Staff was late unlocking door and did not notice 3 people waiting outside for several minutes. Then when we entered the store and looked around for approximately 15 minutes, nobody offered to help us or paid us any attention and they didn't even notice us leave! I do not reccomend this store.
Staff was so very helpful and nice when i was picking my prom dress! amazing selection of dresses! Would recommend this store!
I got my wedding dress today. It was a great experience. We were treated to a glass of wine and it was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Kim made me feel like I was the only client there. She really listened to what I wanted and we even ended up with a dress way under budget. I couldn’t be more happy with the experience. Thank you House Of Vienna and thank you Kim!
Such a wonderful place that gave such a wonderful experience! They have a wonderful selection of dresses so you know you can leave with the one! I felt cared for and got the true bridal experience! Highly recommend!!!
Thank you Kim for the awesome experience picking out my wedding dress. It was so much fun! There are so many beautiful dresses to chose from. I am so excited to walk down the isle in my stunning dress! Thank you :)
Kim and the tailor Trinh were amazing. I came in with many limitations considering style and time. They were able to fulfill my unique needs. They made helpful recommendations and provided tips for the ceremony day and otjer special occasions.
Bought my grad dress today and Kim really listened to what I wanted and showed me all the dresses that I was instrested in, and she let us in early when they were supposed to open at 12 pm and it was 11 am! I tried on 5-6 dresses and was super nice and honest ????
Amazing in the know staff! By trusting their judgment I tried something that I never would have picked for myself but, it was the most beautiful dress I tried on and bought!
We had a bad experience. The lady was dressed very unprofessional. The place looks like a cross fit gym that they have just put rugs and dresses in. They make you take your shoes off, yet the carpet is filthy dirty. The lady didn't let us go and select any dresses for the bride to try on. She was not open to suggestions, we asked if she could show us a belt on the one dress and she denied our rewuest, saying that it didnt need one, yet both the other places we shopped at were happy to add a belt every time we asked. And she had her try on 4 dresses and said that was all she had for her. Oh and they don't let you take photos "because they go far and wide to get the best dresses that nobody else will have from smaller international designers) yet all the dresses she tried on looked so cheap.
I arrived without an appointment and unlike every other shop I went to they welcomed me in and made me feel comfortable and that my business was important. I learned later that they prefer appointments however they don't turn people away. I am a bride and was there to shop for a cocktail dress that I would wear for pre ceremony cocktails. I really wanted something sexy but still bridal. I also wanted something unique that no other bride would have. While I couldn't find exactly what I wanted Kim and the seamstress Trin allowed me to play with samples of materials and different design ideas to ultimately create the dress of my dreams. I spent many days in and out of the shop being the perverbial fly on the wall, as we were alterating and creating my dress. Every day I was there I was greeted with a smile. Some days were so busy the staff literally ran to respond to requests. Many requests made of them seemed, in my opinion, to be petty and made by ungrateful people who had already been given a break on a price of an alteration or some other accommodation made for them. It seemed the harder the staff tried the more upset some clients would become. I guess they can't choose who walks into the store but what I did see was all the staff try time and time again to be gracious to clients no one could make happy. It was grad season too so the volume of people through the doors was revolving. I saw some amazing happy grads in beautiful gowns that were altered to fit custom to their bodies and the parade of dresses and uniqueness of each girl was truly stunning. I've also spoken to and witnessed other brides who have been as happy as I have been with their overall purchase and experience. Can you believe I overheard a lady complaining to Kim a year after her wedding that some of her beads had fallen off of her bridal gown? A year later? Of course you wore it. Beads come off after a night of dancing.... can you believe the moxi of some people??? Kim tried to take her into the side room but I overheard yet another example of the ridiculousness that people complain about and then have the nerve to trash a small business. As a small business owner myself I just wanted to really take time to write everything I witnessed and experienced. The reviews I've read lead me to believe that you either love or hate this store and its staff and products. Do yourself a favour and form your own opinions based on your own experience. Remember people are never perfect however it's more important the trend of people having a great experience...the wack jobs will always complain longer and louder than anything else. The staff go out of their way to prove their dedication to helping everyone having a great experience once walking through the door. I had a fabulous outcome with a dress of my dreams but I know how to be grateful and kind to those who are working to fulfill my dreams. I will be back every time I need a dress for Vegas, a Christmas party dress or any other special occasion dress. My husband will also be getting his Tux from Kim from now on too! I love this store and more importantly I love the people!
Visit twice same treatment not a single employee welcome us neither ask what we need it we start looking for the dress went to dressing room and the employees just stare like we were aliens left not even a good bye dresses look too old too
